Great safe place to go for hypnosis. I also have taken classes at PDX HYPNOSIS on meditation and hypnosis. I love PDX HYPNOSIS they have helped me through some challenges in my life.

Have been attending the Meditation group for nearly three years. Never thought I would be part of something like this but have found the experience to be very helpful. My prior experiences were not for me, but Scott has created a positive safe environment and leads in a guiding manner. He and the group encourage various techniques and are open to sharing experiences. Scott Duvall is knowledgeable,  compassionate, exceptional listener and a skillful hypnotist.  I was struggling with severe pain from a left frozen shoulder and a few years later, pain resulted from an auto accident.  Traditional medical treatments provided temporary relieve  but the pain lingered.   I was a bit skeptical when I made the appointment with Scott but I needed to manage my pain without drugs and cortisone injection.  In trance, Scott was able to remind me of the pain free days.  He focused with me on the positive aspects of life to be healthy.  A simple change of mindset changed how I managed pain.  Amazing results!   Thank you Scott.

Scott and I work together in two areas: weight loss and focus problems due to anxiety. Scott Duvall helped me deal with an anxiety and focus problem that kept me from working well for almost a year. After one session, I was able to work almost 50% more than in the past. I highly recommend Scott for anxiety and ADD symptoms. Weight loss has been my challenge. We have worked together this year and I am learning more each time I see him. Scott says, Its not about the food, and he is right in my case. We spent a lot of time working on how I THINK about food. He helped me start the journey of ending my dependence on sugar. It was hypnosis that helped me truly make big changes. I had two sessions with Scott DuVall, owner and operator of PDX Hypnosis. My goal was to prepare myself for an upcoming minor surgery; the removal of my chemo infusion port. I wanted to have the surgery without the use of any drugs or anestetic, including topical local anesthetics.This is certainly not an everyday request, but Scott, without a moments hesitation assured me, that he would gladly help, and had no doubt in his mind that he would have me prepared to get through the surgery with flying colors. He was so thorough in his instruction, that as the surgery date grew closer, I grew more confident.I practiced daily as I listened to the recordings he made for me. When the day of my surgery arrived, I had already been through it successfully at least 100 times in my head. There was not a shred of doubt or fear in my mind.My husband and I walked into the surgeons office, ready to go. (My husband came with me to video the procedure). After a brief explanation to the surgeon of how I would get myself in the hypnotic trance state, and assurance that I would let her know when I was ready for her to make the incision with the scalpel, we began.The surgery lasted about 25 minutes. It went extremely well and my husband and surgeon were both amazed at what we had just accomplished. I was emerged from hypnosis feeling no pain. In fact, I felt remarkably calm and rested. I left the surgeons office, went home and ran errands. Just another day. Thank you Scott!
