Nice place to work out
New to Portland. Just got stationed here about a month ago (U.S. Coast Guard). Needed a place to play basketball regardless of the weather. There’s literally three other gyms that don’t charge me to have a membership; however, the one gym that has a basketball gym did charge me, which wasn’t too much of an issue. When I started my membership here, I was never told that practice takes place Monday-Thursday which also wasn’t an issue, but I see as lack of information on the gym. Today, I wanted to utilize the court, knowing I’m going to be busy the remainder of the week due to my schedule. I come in, ask to use one of the basketballs, was given one, and stepped into the gym seeing about 4 guys mopping. I was assuming they were about done, because I wasn’t informed it was closed and was GIVEN A BASKETBALL TO USE. Then when the same people at the front that gave me a ball we’re telling me it’s closed, one of the guys who was mopping ended up being very RUDE. “Get out, you can’t be in here!” he yelled. I understand why he was saying it, but I’m paying to use the court and was NEVER informed that it was closed. He has no right to speak to me that way. The staff at the front is always good, but I know that you people mopping the floors hate doing it because it’s so hard, but be considerate of people like me.Unless you come here for free, I highly recommend not coming to this gym.
