Highly recommend this bike rental shop! We went over on the 9:15am ferry and he had plenty of bikes available. Some w/ baskets and some w/out. Helmets included. The 2-3 hour rental was plenty of time to see the whole island (with stops along the way). Lisas cafe was a great bfast stop too!

Wyatt is awesome me and my brother have a great time every-time we go. Great place and VERY HELPFUL! Good prices too.

Omg what a memorable experience! Highly recommend! We loved exploring Peaks Island this way! Even though staff was not present, we could still rent bikes on the honor-system. It was easy, cheap, contact-less and overall a cool experience. Gave the island even more charm! Its only a few minute walk from the ferry (Pro Tip: Walk fast! As soon as you are off the ferry you will see people walking that way to rent. Its first come-first serve. Definitely a lot of bikes but we were lucky to get ones that were the right size and with baskets!)

If youre visiting Peaks Island, bike rental is the way to go. The staff was so so nice, and its pretty cheap to rent a bike for a couple hours of exploring.We came here to rent bikes on a rainy morning (still had to explore, even in the rain!). Because of the rain, one girl made sure we got bikes with fenders to prevent water splashing up our backs while we rode and it made a huge difference! They gave us a map of the island and recommended a few places to check out.Shortly after we left the shop, the fender on my bike broke off. We hadnt gotten very far, so we just turned around and went back, and they were happy to lend me a new bike for the rest of our visit. Thank you for your help!

Rent to the tandem bike and figure it out how to use it immediately. Really good rate for 2 hours and it was a super fun experience. They give you a map to show you where you are and whats on the island but it really worked out well and Im much rather do that than just jump in a golf cart.

Brad and Wyatt are generous human beings who have assisted us in every way since we moved to Peaks Island a decade ago. Last year Brad came to our house and assembled a Rad ebike. He enjoyed it so much he bought Rad bikes to add to his rental choices.

We had a wonderful experience renting bikes from Brad! It costed us $15.00 to rent a bike for 2 hours. He allowed us to choose any bike. The bikes were well maintained. Also loved that the bikes had baskets!

Great prices. Bikes aren’t fancy, but they get you there and back.Don’t waste too much time on western shore. Get out towards the open ocean and walk on those great rock formations.

Great service, great price great, great views

There was no one on duty when we were there, but the self-service option is really easy. Just fill out the form, enclose payment, choose your bike, and go! You can easily bike around the island in an hour. It took us about 50 minutes, and that included breaks. We were actually on the island during a power outage, so it was great to still have an activity to do. Our bikes were in good working order, and they have baskets for your purse, jacket, etc. I definitely recommend!

This is a gem of a bike rental shop! Rent on the honor system, and a good selection of bikes of all sizes. Really a great way to see the island.

Good place to rent bikes. 10 bucks an hour. They have both kids and adults bikes. It takes close to an hour for an adult to cycle around the island

Brad is the man. We loved cruising around in our tandem ripper. You can totally rip around Peaks Island in 20-30 minutes but take your time and enjoy the views 🤙🏽. Grabbed some Island Lobster Co grub after. Solid visit!

Brads is a wonderful little bike rental shop that helps create an incredible way to experience Peaks Island. My friends and I were fortunate enough to find 4 great bikes all for just $10 each. We had enough time to go around the island and take pictures of all the views. I highly recommend stopping by.

We rented out bikes on the honor system. Picked out bikes, signed the form and left our money. With the bikes, you get what you get, but they are functional. We had a lovely tour around the island for an hour for $10 each.

Guy we delt with was nice. I definitely want to go back and rent again from this company. When you get off the ferry go left down the first main road and they will be on your left hand side.

FYI my 1st negative review. I realize this is the only bike shop on the island but please try to be a little friendlier. We arrived around 945 hoping to rent 2 bikes. Both of the owners/workers were not pleasant to talk with. The suggested bike (very old and rusty) needed a simple adjustment because the seat wouldn’t tighten but they made us feel we were asking for too much. We asked if there was another bike but it was an inconvenience to the other worker. They were both so rude we decided to leave and walk the island. We told them we didn’t need their bike and he threw a mini temper tantrum as we were walking away (to include throwing what was in his hand). I have been traveling around the World for 22 yrs and I have never experienced such rude and inappropriate behavior. He then yelled that they did not open until 1000 (in 5 min).They should have politely told us that upon arrival. Everyone has bad days but don’t take it out on your costumers especially since they are the only bike rental on the island.We recommend renting a bike on Portland and bringing it with you in the Ferry.

I tried to leave lower than a one out of five. Not possible or you can’t clarify your review . Do not use this business. Simple as that. We rented a tandem and it was not even usable but the guy took our $25. Joke on us. But I plan to tell as many people as possible. And I have a long memory. And, Brad and Wyatt, and all associated with this business, may you have bad Kharma. Enjoy your island, Peaks folks, but please don’t advertise.

I love this place.Its the only place on the Island, where you can rent a pike and go ride around the Island.If the place is closed, you can still rent the pike, and pay money in the Box, and when you come back, just drop off the pike and walk back to the ferry terminal.Have fun.

Brad could not have been nicer, and I swear this is the best way to see Peaks Island. Its just a few minutes walk from the ferry to the bike shop. The round-trip around the island is just 4 miles, but its almost entirely along the coast and there are lots of places youll want to pull over for the most incredible views of Casco Bay and the Atlantic. We kept pulling over every few minutes, because each view was better than the next. There were barely any cars around, and a few people out walking, jogging and biking. But an easy, fun ride for sure! Brad was unbelievably helpful by giving us directions, and he told us because we were probably the last people to rent from him for the day we could keep the bikes pretty much as long as we wanted. An fantastic experience from start to finish!

Superr friendly and accomodating staff. Great selection of bikes. We did a 1-hour biking tour of the island with our 12 year daughters and it was definitely a highlight of our trip to Maine! Dont forget to bring water to drink!

He took the time to make sure everyone was fit properly with a bike especially my 8yo. We hauled a trailer behind my bike for my little daughter and it rode well without any problems. Had a great time exploring the island via bicycle. I look forward to heading back over to Peaks Island and renting again!

Wyatt was a great help in providing bikes for my family. I really appreciate the laid back vibe of Peakes Island. Like a cottage in the city. There is a mix of older and newer bikes but they are adequate and functional. I would definitely come back.

Rented a cruiser from Brad & Wyatt’s and am honestly happy I made it out alive. The breaks on my cruiser were nearly non existent and the hills made that very dangerous. The staff suggested it would take 45 minutes to round the island with no stopping, seemingly to get us to bump up to the 3 hour rental. AND their dog wasn’t even friendly. Choose the 1 hour rental... or even better... rent s golf card.

Great place and amazing price. Both me and my husband had rented two bikes. Mine was really stable however my husbands bikes handle was fickle and had to be extra careful with our son seated in the back. But we had an amazing time. Will be back to rent from the same place again!.

They get you in and get you out! They always cut us a deal on long term rentals (which we really appreciate) and thats why we keep coming back. The bikes arent perfect, but theyre safe and all you need to get around the island!

Holy Hell... My GF brakes on her bike did not work one bit. She had to use her feet ( like Fred Flintstones) & going down these wild hills it was very dangerous my gf was scraed out of her mind. She almost hit cars multiple times, while being chased by wild raccoons. The island natives were very friendly. Got tuned up with them. But back to this bike shop, they offer a hour ride for $10 and a three hour for $20. Honestly all you need is a 1 hour 1/2, even with plenty of stops looking at the scenery. They should really think about a 2 hour ride for $15. AND THERE DOG WAS MEAN!!!!

The owner is friendly and very relaxed. Took little to no time to sign a form, hand over money, and head out on the bike!

No one was there on the Sunday we visited. Its a honor system when the owner isnt in attendance but I can safely say that the selection of bikes were decent and operable for the amount asked.

It was closed on a Saturday. Not sure if it opens only during tourist season (it was May 19th) or it was closed because there was a little rain? Either way, disappointing.
