Just excuses….Avoid inspections with this company. Josh may or may not identify issues and has no interest in standing behind his work when he does miss something. I ordered the deluxe inspection when purchasing a used car recently. He missed the cracked radiator (which is upwards of $1,000 to fix). With all his disclaimers absolving him of any responsibility for his work, I’m still trying to figure out what the benefit was in paying for his services. My mistake. Hopefully this review will save you from experiencing what I have. I had hoped to get an idea of any existing major issues from a knowledgeable professional. My expectations were not met. I encourage you to consider other companies that will stand behind their work and that see the importance in working with the customer to provide a reasonable resolution when major issues are overlooked.

I scheduled a PPI for an exotic English car with Josh and then called the dealer to confirm. The dealer in question knew of Josh and PDX which is always a good sign. Unfortunately the dealer sold the car before the inspection which is their right since I had not put a deposit on the vehicle. Josh was very understanding and promptly refunded the fee. Very professional. If I am looking at another car io buy in Washington I will definitely call PDX.

I am buying a used car sight-unseen from out of state. Josh gave me more than enough information and photos to feel completely confident about what I am getting. He was very prompt to reply to my online request and communicated with me regularly throughout the process of scheduling the inspection. The dealer gave him a bit of a run-around -- the car is here; no, its there; its not available today; call somebody else tomorrow. Josh followed through with them and kept me in the loop. He was very professional in his exchanges with the dealer and me. In fact, he has done a far better job communicating with me than the deal has. Joshs report is very comprehensive and easy to understand. Overall, Im very happy with the level of service and certainly would recommend PDXinspections!

Josh exceeded my expectations. His email replies are clear and prompt, and his reports are thorough and easy to understand. When we hit a glitch with the car seller - the guy no-showed us - Josh even had a process for that, which allowed us to reschedule a few days later. PDXInspections helped me NOT to buy a car, and for that I feel like it was money well spent.

Excellent pre-purchase car inspection service! I was able to book an appointment the night before for a Platinum inspection the following day. Communication with Josh was excellent - both through email and phone. I wasnt able to be present for the inspection but the report shows that he does a very detailed, high quality job. You get a very good idea of the condition of the vehicle. I was able purchase the vehicle with peace of mind, knowing there wouldnt be any surprises down the road. This is a very convenient way to get an inspection done instead of having to make a trip to a nearby mechanic (which may also have a conflict of interest) and at a fair price. I recommend this company and will be using them for future car purchases.

I used PDX Inspections today while buying (helping my mom buy) a used car from a private party. The inspection was very thorough, and response from Josh to my questions same day of the inspection were also thorough and prompt. You will likely pay more (and perhaps get more) than a dealer pre-purchase inspection, and this is way more convenient. The inspection was very lazy.They missed a lot of obvious damage on the car and it seems like they were working with the dealership to fool me.I would not recommend this company, they have no morals and they act upon emotion instead of logic.Edit: I’m curious what my occupation has to do with your poor service. I was contemplating the purchase of a high mileage BMW M3 in Portland Oregon. Since I am physically located >3,200 miles away from Portland in S Florida, I first contacted the local BMW dealer for a PPI; they stated they could schedule an inspection in 2 or 3 weeks.I could not wait for the dealer. I found PDX via Google; the webpage looked very professional so I submitted a request for information. Josh responded to my request via email within 20 minutes. Over email we discussed some concerns I had that are very specific to this vintage BMW. Joshs responses to my questions convinced me that he was indeed knowledgeable on the BMW E46 platform. I arranged to have their most through inspection, and opted for the extra cost photos as part of the report.The inspection and photos turned out to be $ well spent. I was presented with a detailed condition report almost 200 high resolution photos and a couple of short videos of the car. I spent at least 2 hours studying the report and photos; I really got a great feel for the actual condition of the car.Based on the PDX inspection, I purchased the car, then held my breath to 12 days while it was transported from Portland to Miami. When the car arrived, there were no surprises; the car presented in real life exactly as the photos and report from PDX portrayed.In my case, the service provided by PDX was more than worth the amount I was charged. If I could I would rate them higher than 5 stars. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

I rarely take the time to write reviews, but the excellent service Josh/PDXInspections provided makes me want to share. I was buying a used Prius from a Jaguar dealer that disavowed any knowledge of the cars mechanical condition and was selling it as-is. The dealer was only willing to hold the car off the market for 48 hours to allow for an inspection. I researched options on the web, and selected and scheduled PDX Inspections without really knowing whether it would work out. Josh was immediately responsive, pulled the carfax and other reports and sent them to me, and scheduled to review the car. The work he did was excellent -- the Jaguar dealers mechanics were a bit annoyed at how thoroughly he inspected the vehicle, and guessed that I paid significantly more for the service. I will definitely call PDX Inspections again when I replace my wifes car.
