So fast. I was in and out within 20 minutes. They even checked the air filter, topped off the wiper fluid, and showed me how to reset the check engine light at no charge.

They are fair price and they keep intouch with you if anything else was found. They are friendly just a great group. I have my oil change and a general maintenence.

I love supporting businesses locally and I was more than pleased with the service and quality I received here. I went to them for several things I thought my car needed and their honesty was impressive as they let me know some things weren’t needed. They are fairly priced and trustworthy.

Great place to go. No hard sell or pushy people. Im so glad they are there. I dont trust Jiffy Lube, have had many issues and they always try to sell you something you dont need. On the Go is a place you can ask a question and get the right answer, without having to spend anything. They actually sent me to the auto parts store to save some money on a filter. Who does that?

I felt belittled by the owner. They wanted do what they wanted to do not what I wanted them to do. I we about 2 miles west on lombard to a place called Gills point S and had the work done for more than half the price of on the go.

First come, first served and I got there right when they opened. The entire staff was super friendly and knowledgeable. They didnt try to sell me services I didnt need and they got me in and out in 15 mins. Was a great experience and ill definitely go back for all future oil changes.

I have switched to a different business because the last two times I brought my car in I had serious problems with it after. I did what they recommend and then drove my car a few blocks down the road and it broke down. They did pay for the tow back to the shop and the repairs because it was their fault but I just felt like they were trying to cover the mistakes made by (hopefully) inexperienced mechanics. I just dont want to have to deal with new issues they cause. Ive lost confidence in them.

There was a schedule conflict with my oil change appointment from another local auto shop--I had to leave town the next day, and was told you will never find a local shop that has an appointment for you within a week I found On-the-go, and they fit me in that hour. Haha, rude. I called to ask about setting up an appointment for repair work on various items I basically just need tightened and straightened on my 4x4. The lady who answered the phone was quite dismissive and apparently didnt have the time to listen to me explain what I was looking to get done. After being interrupted 2-3 times, she stated they could set me an appointment several weeks into the future. Too bad, they seem to get good reviews on here, and I would have been a fine customer for random repairs and repeat service.

I just had some work done yesterday on my truck and even though there was a small hiccup, my truck was still done by the end of the day as promised. I was called early in the morning to be informed there would be a small extra charge and asked if that was okay to proceed. I appreciate that level of customer service. When I went to pick up my truck I also needed an oil change which they quickly did for me as well. Thank you so much for a job well done!

On the go auto services is really for people on the go! I called 13 minutes before closing and they asked if I could be there in 5!😁 So they take my car and with 5 minutes to spare a new purchase for me. Zeph the mechanic gave me a great oil change and looked over the new purchase and told me it was in great shape!!! The wonderful secretary Carrie was super awesome! She was so nice and never once was upset or gave me a sour eye for coming in so late👍🏻😁

Dave and all of his staff are so nice and honest and fair. I just took my car over to have him evaluate my tie rods that another place that needed to be replaced and gave a $540 quote however Dave took the time to inspect them and give me his honest opinion that he thought I could just get the boots fixed because there was no play in my wheel so the tie rods felt okay and it saved me $300. He also suggested I take it to another place who also did alignments do it because it would be easier on me to do it all in one place. I can always trust hes going to be honest and tell the truth which keeps me coming back to him. He took the time to look and didnt charge me and then also told me to take it somewhere else that could be more convenient and a little less expensive for me. It is this kind of honesty and service that will keep me coming back and it is also lacking in so many places. I do not usually do reviews but I have to just say how great they are and hope everybody else will go there and get the same service I do.

Ive taken three of my cars to Dave at On The Go for two years now, and have been absolutely satisfied. Technically, Dave is a great automotive troubleshooter. His opinions and suggestions have been reasonable, and his prices seem very fair. He has stayed late to work on a car for me. You are not paying for any fancy environment for sure, but Dave is a great mechanic and a trustworthy business owner, and he seems to really care.

I was very impressed with On the Go Auto Services. Dave and Henry are superb mechanics with a lot of integrity. They were straight forward about cost and checked the car out to see what else was needed. They arent pushy at all. They are very good with communicating with you. If you are new there, have some patience and faith and they will take good care of you.

The owner David is amazing and will help explain your car problem/details in simple terms (if you need it). He does not pressure you, I have taken my car home without service because they are comfortable telling you that you dont have to get service asap.

Karrie and Zach were terrific! Took it In for a fuel injection service. Didnt need one so they didnt do one. They also took care of a couple of issues with our door locks, no charge.Been going here for a long time and never got cheated. Always friendly and courteous.This place is the BEST.

As I said before, On the Go Auto Services staff are consistent in providing great service at reasonable cost. They listen, ask good questions and take the time to sort out issues. Theyre great at coming back to me with options and making sure I have the information I need, then letting me decide on what action to take - or not - without applying pressure or scare tactics.

Showed up at 8am for an oil change...taken in immediately...tech topped off all fluids, checked air pressure in tires, replaced all 3 windshield wipers as requested & cleaned my headlight casing...easy peasy! Best part?? I paid, walked away & then the young lady in the office came out to my car to get me TO GIVE ME A REFUND! She had accidentally charged me for a new air filter ($29) & cancelled the first payment & wanted to let me know!! Who does that these days? Not many people or businesses IMO...Honest Quality Work!! There is no doubt that On The Go Auto Services is a great customer-oriented business based solely on its friendly, helpful oil + change work. We knew them well from that and were always impressed about the speed and attention to detail they gave to us and our vehicle. The phrase service with a smile seems trite, yet rarely fits most businesses these days. However, it is a perfect description for On the Go.Then I learned they did auto maintenance and boy, did I have a doosey of a problem. Dave resolved it quickly, correctly and with precise logic, research and expertise. What he did was, in the end, very simple yet apparently not something every auto mechanic shop does. I am so impressed and relieved given what has happened before I brought the truck to him.My 2000 Mazda B-2500 had been to two mechanics over more than two months. Half of the time my truck sat in their service bays, the other half me attempting to drive it and facing stall-outs and hard-starts. I limited the times I would drive it because I was afraid of what it might do!Then I brought it to Dave. He took the time to listen to my two month experience after he did some research and saw all of the parts and service work done by the first mechanic (who reported to Carfax). The trucks behavior was suspicious to him but he admitted it did not fit the normal pattern that most distressed vehicles face. It was a puzzle, but he didnt want to give up.By the next day he had done some research, did a little more test driving and zeroed in on the problem. It was a problem fairly unique to the Mazda and Ford Ranger trucks of the time: four cylindars but 8 wires. The first mechanic, during the tune-up, swapped wires on two of them which did not power some of the engine action at the right time. It would not prevent start-up or running all the time, but would explain the initial symptoms.All of the later work done on the truck since was damaged caused by excessive throttling and starting/restarting the engine. If the original work was done correctly, none of the later work would have been necessary!All Dave had to do was put the wires back in the order clearly documented by Mazda and the engine ran fine. End of problem. No new parts and just a day in the shop (not the weeks taken by the other mechanics).Daves honesty, concern, curiousity and expertise are the best in his business. From now on we will take both of our vehicles to his shop for regular oil changes and for any problems which may occur!

I took my car here last week because my car was slipping. The mechanic (Alex or Allen whatever his name is) told me that I needed a new timing belt and that it would cost me $2,800.00 to do the work. He didnt put it on a computer to try and figure out what the real problem was.So I decided to take my car to Rons Automotive and RV in Vancouver Washington. Turns out that all I needed was an oil clean out, fresh oil in my car, and the timing reset. All I had to pay was $300.84. I wouldve paid less than that if I didnt have to pay for towing. I believe On The Go auto services was trying to scam me out of my money because Im a woman. I will never take my car to that place again. And I would never recommend anyone (especially women) to go there. On The Go Auto Services is a joke.

Hard workers with fair prices.My engine light came back on for the same code after they replaced a valve; they had the car back in there the next weekend and made sure the unexpected issue was resolved free of charge after the first repair was paid for.No more engine light.

As a woman who knows a *fair* bit about cars, its notoriously difficult to find a mechanic that wont oversell or patronize me.I showed up today and was listened to. My problem was fixed within minutes. The entire process was straightforward. No over charging. I cant remember the last time I dealt with a good, honest mechanic.I will be taking my car here for everything from now on. I am very happy to have found my PDX mechanic.

Id been going to the oil change businesses that were here before for many years, but recently had On The Go take a look at my Honda Civic when it wouldnt start one morning. They fit me in that same day by working on it near their closing time and Dave, I believe was the new owners name, stayed late to fix it for me. Runs great now, and I got out for about $65. Id recommend this shop highly.

On the Go has taken care of my vehicles since before moving to his new location. They have explained every problem with my vehicles and finished all work in a timely manner. I have told my family and friends how satisfied I am with On the Go.

I went in for an oil change and left with more issues than I started with. Less than 24 hours after leaving this shop, my engine had a bunch of other issues that arose. The mechanics said it was unrelated, but I left with a bad taste in my mouth. After charging me almost $500 for two separate visits within a week, they said it would be another $800 to fix the new issue. I took the car to a mechanic down the street and got the same job done for $500. Nice mechanics, but they werent willing to cut me a deal for my bad experience with them. I would not recommend this shop.

He called and said that there was a lesser problem that had a much easier fix, and charged me accordingly. Fair, honest and thorough. What more do you want from your mechanic. When you call a shop 5 minutes before they open...and they answer...you know youve found a gem of a shop. They offered to get me in for an oil change immediately, and I really didnt think that would be possible before work on the day I had to head to Seattle. Prompt, professional, and genuine people. I decided to walk with my kids to Columbia park to play, and they said no problem and to take my time. Were so glad to have this resource in North Portland, and theyll continue to have my business. Went in for a quick oil change and took less than half an hour. Friendly staff and great services.

I stopped here this morning to have my oil level checked (I slightly over filled it). Henry greeted me in the lot, I told him my concerns and he brought my car in right away. They took care of the problem within 15 minutes and sent me on my way with no charge. No charge is nice, but their immediate and personal attention is what makes this place stand out.

Brought the car in because another shop said we needed some work done and we wanted a 2nd estimate. Dave explained the work (even sent pictures) and why he didnt think it was necessary to do at this time. He was patient and easy to understand without ever being condescending. He saved us about $600! We decided to have them do some other preventative maintenance and it was done promptly and without nickel and diming us. There was no labor charge at all of many of the easy things like air filter and wiper blades. Thats a win-win because they get to sell us the parts instead of Autozone or whatever, and we dont have to deal with it. Plus the office manager is so pleasant to work with and was really nice to me and my kids. I have never had such a great experience getting my car worked on. We will definately be back next time we need car work done!

Brought my car there 0n May 20th for a coolant flush. As expected, I waited for 1 1/2 hours just for the car to cool down. Then the mechanic, Henry, who is starting to get the job done, up and flat disappears. After about 20 minutes I started asking the other employees where Henry is and NOBODY EVEN KNEW !!! Then they called him after 1/2 hour and found he had personal business to take care of and would be back soon. I waited another 1/2 hour for him and in total disgust, I left. What a waste of over 2 1/2 HOURS. The manager/owner Dave, was WIRED on something because he wouldnt listen to hardly a word I was saying and just kept rambling on and on about the importance of a coolant flush. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL !!!!! I wouldnt let them work on anything I owned !
