Barbur Rentals is the place that will have the event rental stuff nobody else has, and at a reasonable price. Friendly and professional staff! Theyre best for renting behind-the-scenes stuff as sometimes other places have fancier serviceware or newer equipment. But for staging, catering, chairs, tables, all the nuts & bolts, theyll probably have exactly what you need.

I used Barbur Rentals for an outdoor event including staging, trash cans, and a canopy. Every time I talked to their staff I felt rushed through the call and never hung up feeling confident that they cared about my business, event, or what I had just discussed with them. In my most recent calls I have been talked down to, disrespected, and told I have no idea how you could have thought we were giving you a discount based on that conversation.They were 30 minutes late to arrive after I waited the three hour delivery window at my event site. Because of the delay in delivery my event was delayed 90 minutes. The day of my event I talked to someone on the phone where they told me I would receive a $500 credit for not using a canopy that we did not have time to set up. I was so disrespected while trying to get the credit reflected on my account that I told them to forget it.To top all of this off, I was accidentally copied on an email between Barbur and their insurance agency. The Barbur employee said Sorry for the short notice, if *I* was doing an event and needed a COI, I would have asked at least a week in advance.

Grew up in the area and Barbur Rents is a local institution for good reason. Their staff is useful for helping show us what fits for the project at hand and they’ve helped us out when in a pinch for a big event. Five stars for sure and who doesn’t love a good equipment rental trip.

Good place for renting tools and party supplies. They have a very large selection of power tools and great selection and variety of items for private as well as company parties. Prices are competitive and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

I went to Barbur Boulevard Rental as a kid with my dad and it had excellent customer service and great equipment. Unfortunately, it is not that store anymore. I received poor advice as to a sander from the store representative. The equipment was old and outdated. Home Depot clearly has them beat with a variety of up-to-date equipment. I went to Home Depot got the right floor sander, knowing that Home Depot would work with me if the store representative’s advice was in error. I will not go back to Barbur Rentals…avoid.

Several years ago during my house remodel would be here almost every weekend renting something to complete my remodel.Great service and great family shop.Added 1700 square feet onto 1900 sq.ft. Replaced siding, excavated, new footings & stemwall foundation, gutted entire interior replaced insulation and sheetrock, as well as all plumbing.

Rented a Toro Dingo for some yard work at my house (best piece of small equipment ever btw). Alex at the front desk was professional, clear, straightforward and fair. I rented it for two days, and they didnt pull any silly business. My personal experience at this small, family owned local business was stellar and they had the best price in town for what I needed.

If you are looking for any customer service, this is not the place for you. Dont make the mistake of nicely asking for them to put a rush on anything. We were short on time, due to extenuating circumstances.One of them rolled his eyes. I think he did, it was hard to see through his swollen chipmunk cheeks. Another said they can only go one speed, which is slow ( I guess when you smoke so much weed, thats what happens), and cant step up the process this one time. The last one, ALEX, the old guy with the pirate beard, tried to lecture me, and say there was only three of them, no way they could expedite an request.Once they got all emotional over my apparently ridiculous request, he tore up the order and said I couldnt rent anything. He probably pleasures himself knowing he was able to treat a customer so rudely. I guess its the small things when youve reached your professional peak.On their door they have a help wanted sign. They really do need some help. Help on how to accommodate a simple request, and some help how to act professionally, and serve the customer a little bit.

Good deals on rental equipment of all types. We rented chairs and some bar tables without any issues. The staff was responsive during our visit and ready to move inventory. I would suggest not renting linens here, as they are overpriced, but if you are throwing a party and dont have what you need, this is the place to go. I will be renting from them in the future.

Great local rental company with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. They always have everything I need for my bar and event staffing business and are quick to help load and unload equipment. Plus theyre very dog friendly with 2 adorable office doggies!

Friendly staff and a wide selection. Every party I have I go to this place and they always deliver. Casey and Michelle are great in their customer service. It is apparent they care about their work and it shows! The dogs are always a welcome site as well. Kinda weird that one of the dogs is named Puddin though. Who names their dog Puddin?

This place has pretty much everything you would need to host a big party or work around your house. I have never rented tools here but the lot is full of a huge variety. I rent chairs, linens, and some other serving items twice a summer for parties a d they are always friendly and helpful. Its an old and run down property but everything Ive rented is clean, in great condition, and affordable.

Rented here on two separate occasions. equipment is way worn out and minimal maintenance. second time I was 30 minutes late for the 4 hour rate. Guy at the counter had zero f#$ks to give and argued with me about the 4 hour rate. He made his extra $30 and I have since rented $1900 in heavy equipment from Johnson creek rentals where they actually smile and realize people are doing the best they can.

Rented a large tile saw from here and it worked like a charm. It was good and square and it must have had a new blade - it cut thick porcelain tile perfectly. The guys are easy to work with.

I rented same machine for years not as well maintained as in years passed.

Im not sure why they felt the need to keep lying to us on the day the delivered the equipment. I was told multiple times that they would be at our venue 8-12. 1p rolls around still no truck. I call the office they pull up my order and tell me he is watching them load the last items and theyll be on the road in 10 mins. 530p hits still no truck. I call down they tell me they are at the waterfront leaving immediately to me. Finally at 9:30 they show up with their trucks. They were out my house setting up with 2 guys until 1:30a.Why not just tell me the truth I would have made it work. Its real annoying to have a group of people ready to help set up wait around for 13 hours with nothing to do because you couldnt just tell the truth.

Ive rented from these guys many times over the years and have always been pleased. The unfavorable reviews make me laugh... You rent a gas powered piece of equipment but dont have any gas? wow.... Im amazed you got your pants on straight and found the place. Waiting a few minutes at the counter? Yep. its happened to me too. Thats called life. If they had 20 people sitting there waiting for you your equipment would cost 3X as much to rent. Overall this place is great... they must be doing something right since theyve been in the same location for over 30 years.

My bride and I ordered (150) chairs for our wedding. There was an accident with the order and they double booked. The team was SO helpful. They gave us the next quality up for no extra charge and also hooked us up with a trailer and hitch for free because the new (better) chairs wouldnt fit in my rig. Regardless of issues, when a company goes above and beyond in all ways to make things right, they will always earn my business. Thank you. Management and field loading guys, you rock.

I have come here twice to rent various tools and have had a great experience. Prices arent bad and when I had to purchase a drill bit for an impact drill I was renting and returned it with the tool, they bought it from me for almost what it cost me. This is also after I used it. They didnt need to do this, but it was a nice thing.

HORRIBLE experience!!! DO NOT RENT from Barbur Blvd. Rentals or Oregon Event & Tent Co.!!! Worst customer service we have ever experienced and we have been in the event management business for 30+ yrs. Late delivery, set up & pick up for a lrg. wedding event. Poor quality of supplies received, faulty equipment, no back up provided after numerous calls, and no refunds given for lack of service delivery which created a huge delay for ALL the other reputable vendors working together that day to make it spectacular. Their manager Shaun, who refused to give his last name or allow us to talk to the owner Scott Edwards, was abominably rude in every conversation & in - person treatment of my husband during our concerned inquiries! Customer satisfaction & business professionalism were the least of his worries & he made that quite clear by refusing to refund $$$s spent for shoddy service & delivery. Be sure to check out other reviews on Yelp & Google too, since we are not the only ones to have experienced such an unprofessional encounter with/ this company. With over 250 guests & vendors involved, I am spreading the word.

I drove by and made a res for a generator from them, then went online to get their phone number and saw all the bad reviews. i got a little nervous and twitchy and called to make SURE they had the generator, and everything else i could think of that might go wrong or they could pull. they assured me everything would be fine and it was, picked it up, dropped it off, worked great, everything awesome. one guy, casey i think even went really far out of his way to talk to me about generators and show me the other options for a potential next time, he was awesome.one reviewer said that she was told she wouldnt need a reservation, what the guy told me was that without my credit card on file they WOULDNT make a reservation, which makes a little more sense. you dont need a reservation means they have an infinite number of that item, and anyone with a little sense could figure that out if it was an important event.so not sure about all the bad reviews but my experience couldnt have been better.

Do NOT rent from these people. I own a catering company and they screwed me over. I rented quite a bit from them including glassware. I was shorted a couple things called them when I realized it, but didnt think I needed to count every single plate etc that they gave me. Boy was I wrong. COUNT EVERY ITEM you get from them. I had a very busy event and didnt have time to count things when I picked up because I have never had an issue with this before with any other rental company. I was exactly ten short on glasses and the ONLY excuse was they shorted me. No glasses were left at the venue because it was a blank slate and I carry no glassware. I told them the only way I was exactly ten short is the shorted me from the beginning. They did nothing the appease me and they up charged me for all the glassware. A caterers worst nightmare. Do not work with these guys.

Rented tables and linens for a small event. After the event we were not notified of any damage - our card was charged and we were mailed a fee for wax on table cloth. We had no candles at our event. When we called to ask details of the charge we were hung up on multiple times, put on hold, and overall disrespected. They had zero policy for disputing the claim and were so rude. Their human error of not catching the stain before sending the table cloths costs us. I will never use them for rentals again. The items were in poor condition and they were expensive to rent and ridiculous charges for delivery.

Wanted to make sure my order was cancelled, it wasnt. The guy on phone was short and rude, telling me they charge a 50% restocking fee, didnt mentioned that EVER. I will now never use Barbur rentals for that reason. I am not paying restocking fees. Party is 7 days away.

DONT TRUST THESE GUYS!!! CHECK EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU LEAVE. They will bill you for damage that already existed and deny that it did. You are far better off finding a different place to rent rather than having to try to have them admit that something was not working correctly when you got it.GO TO A DIFFERENT RENTAL PLACE!!!!

Needed to do some wood work while I had some help in town. Went by the store to look for a mider saw. Didnt know there were so many different types so I ended up with a basic one that didnt do what I needed since apparently I needed a sliding compound mider saw. I went ahead and used it for the boards it could cut and then returned it to try and upgrade to a different option. They didnt have an other mider saws and since I was in a bit of a hurry they helped me choose a table saw. Unfortunately after driving it back home I was notified that it wouldnt work because it had no guard and could not cut a straight cut on the long boards we had. I took it back immediately and decided I would just pay for the rental I had used rather than the upgrade 19 dollars vs 27 dollars. The person at the counter saidThem: Im going to charge you 27 dollars does that sound fair?Me: Not really I wasnt able to use it since it wasnt safe and wouldnt work. I didnt even have it for 15 whole minutes. So I think it would be fair if I just paid the 19 for the mider saw that I at least turned on and as able to use for part of our project.Them: Well I didnt force you to put it in your carDont ask me if it is fair and then disagree when I give you a reasonable reason why it is not fair. Since I didnt want to spend time fighting in the store and I wasnt going to go out of my way to actually reject the charge on my credit card I figured Id make you earn your 8 dollars of fairness on the internet. You decided that me putting an unsafe machine that could have more easily cut off my fingers than made a straight edge in my car means I have to pay even if I didnt use it an returned it in less than 15 minutes. Ive decided you can pay me back by letting me vent on the internet for all other people who may be trying to decide to rent from you in the future.I will never use your services again even though you are less than 2 miles from my house. I will always to the distance and rent from Johnson Creek Rentals since their customer service is much better, their equipment is much better, and their prices are even better.
