Quick Furnace tune-up. Other guys were scheduling for a month out, but these guys showed up next day. As far as price comparisons, couldn’t say since this was the first time the furnace has been serviced, but it wasn’t terrible. I’m sure it’s in line with the norm.

We had a gas line run from our basement furnace to the kitchen for a gas range today. The two technicians were very nice and competent and seemed to do quality work. My reason for not giving 5 stars is that the final cost was about twice what I expected based on my research of what this fairly simple job should entail. Maybe if they had sent one installer rather than two it would have been more reasonable. Anyway, happy to have gas in the kitchen now!

Top quality technician but far too expensive. They charged $159 for the visit, which is acceptable. Then added $128 to change a first. So that was almost $300 for a visit of less than 15 minutes and a 50 cent fuse. I did complain and they told me that the added fee was for diagnosis. I think diagnosis is actually part of the trip fee, and Ive been overcharged a hundred bucks.

Mark was very friendly and professional! Was early which worked out for us. He made sure that before he left all our questions were answered! Hired to install a furnace and an electric water heater. we added on hooking up to city gas and the gas lines for the range. they didnt hook up the power or plumbing for the water heater (all the plumber needed was one simple connector). they neglected to complete the air ducts. the furnace main gas shut off wasnt able to be turned off because where it was mounted, the nob hit the furnace. the overflow pipes for the water heater were installed uneven and look terrible. it took me multiple calls to figure out how to get my gas turned on and it turns out they never finished the job. the salesman stopped answering my calls. I was blown off several times when they were supposed to come out. when a tech finally came out, I could hear him talking on the phone and clearly didnt know what he was doing. the owner showed and told me that his permit only allows one appliance hook up. would have liked to have known they couldnt install the water heater before I hired them. the owner barely seemed to know what he was talking about. Im not sure what I even paid for. and to top it all off I couldnt pass city inspection of their work.

We had Heat Relief install a furnace and heat pump four years ago. Since then, weve used their USA maintenance service twice a year @ $159 per service, once for the furnace and once for the heat pump. This week when they serviced the heat pump, the tech replaced the hard start kit claiming it is recommended to do so @ $105 in addition to the service call cost. I later looked up the price of the hard start kit and was shocked to find out that it sells for $13.95! Although I appreciate their good service, such price gouging is absolutely uncalled for.

The technician was fantastic!Their scheduler and home office communication was horrendous. We were scheduled between 12 & 4. I called to confirm two days prior and at 3 the day of. I was told they would be later than 4, then a call that they couldnt make it.They rebooked for the following day. A total waste of a day waiting. Capacity planning is not easy and that is why managing it closely is important.

While having unprecedented heat our ac wasnt blowing cold air. My husband who is 75 years old and has ms (multiple sclerosis ) and can not tolerate extreme temperatures. I chose this company come out and install a gas line for a gas range. They were a little off on the timing; had scheduled for 10, then they called the day before to confirm for 9, and then he showed up at 8! The whole job was done by 9:15 though, and I couldnt be happier! I like that they charge hourly. Its honest and it lets me know I am not paying for someone elses free consultation or have hidden fees somewhere. Super stoked with my new gas range! :D

I cant review the nature of their work, which seems to be fantastic from what other reviewers have said, but do want to provide a review about their proposal process.My partner and I asked for a bid on a water heater replacement that we are looking to have done. We made the request on 11/13 and confirmed a walk through and inspection for 11/23. At that point, the Sales Representative was professional and responsive and said that hed have a bid over to us within a week.On 12/5 (almost 2 weeks later), we emailed the sales representative asking for an update on that bid as we had yet to receive anything. We received a response back on 12/7 (now two weeks after the initial inspection) saying Ill send that over tomorrow morning. and still didnt receive the bid until the morning on 12/9. On top of that, the bid that we received excluded some services that we specifically asked about and didnt include any pricing for subcontracting work. For comparison, we received a competitors bid the day after they did their inspection and that bid included subcontracting prices.Ultimately, we went with the competitor because the bidding process with heat relief was not delivered in the time presented, required reminders from us, and didnt include all that was requested.

Portland has more aggressive and dangerous drivers than it can handle. You would think that a “professional” in a box truck covered with their companies information would learn how to drive safely and not force other drivers into dangerous situations. I would not even think of hiring this company for any reason.

Would highly recommend this company! They quoted us on an air conditioning unit when we purchased our home in 2019, and honored the quote in 2020 even though their prices had increased. They were able to install the unit the following week. The installation took a good part of the day, the technician was super friendly, and cleaned up behind himself after he was done. Overall the entire process was amazing except for one part - they offer financing options with Banner bank. DO NOT go down this road. It was such an awful experience from start to finish, I feel bad leaving this review on Heat Relief because it’s not their fault but it’s necessary to mention if I can save anyone from the headache and pain of getting a loan through them. They lied about their rates, tried to get us to sign incorrect loan documents, increased the loan price without us knowing, messed up the loan check, and made making payments completely impossible. We felt used, lied to, and manipulated during the whole document signing and the months to follow. We ended up paying the loan off early to just to get out of the contract with them. HORRIBLE! Again, to reflection on Heat Relief, just use other financial options!

We called on Monday and by Tuesday at 11am they were here and helping fix our system.

I had an appointment last week at 3pm, the owner Mark called an hour before hand to cancel it because his technician couldn’t make it. He set up my appointment the following week for 8am Monday morning. At 9:01am the technician showed up. This is the 3rd time this company has been careless about appointment times. They seem to do good work but the lack of professionalism is careless. So unless you sit around all day and have nothing to do find someone else.

As requested, service personnel called 15 minutes before arriving within the scheduled window so I could restrain my dog. Service on A/C and furnace performed efficiently in 45 minutes with service personnel wearing a mask and maintaining social distancing.

Ive been using this company for a few years now to do regular maintenance and checkups on the furnace and AC unit in the fall and spring. The are reliable and honest and dont try to sell me things I dont need but make suggestions for improvements or repairs as needed. I highly recommend them.

I would not recommend this company to anyone. We had worked with Heat Relief previously and had purchased a service agreement with them (the Ultimate Savings Club), so when our furnace stopped working I called. The first technician came out to diagnose the problem, replaced the thermostat, the transformer blew and he replaced that too. He did not seem to really know what the problem was, and I did not feel comfortable with his work, so while he was still there I called the company to express my concern. The company assured me he had many years of experience. I ended up paying for the thermostat, transformer, and service visit cost (with discount for having a service agreement) but the problem was NOT fixed. The technician said we needed wire replaced.The next day another technician replaced wire. That didnt work either, and that technician said he did not feel comfortable charging us for the wire, as it didnt fix the problem. He did not charge us. That afternoon Heat Relief sent another technician. He also couldnt fix the furnace/heat pump but to his credit, he bypassed our heat pump so we could use emergency electric heat.A week later, Heat Relief sent their top guys”, they left within an hour saying all was fixed and that a wire was connected that shouldnt have been. Within an hour the heat was no longer working. I was beyond frustrated at this point.When I called the office I was told that this time, they knew what was wrong, and quoted parts cost of double what I had already paid, and they also insisted I pay for the wiring that did not fix the problem from the very first week (by now it was 3 weeks later). I said no, we would not pay the wiring charge as it did not fix the problem and even their own technician did not feel we should pay.The owner then called me and was extremely rude and insisted no further work would be done until the wiring charge was paid. When I mentioned that I was not feeling comfortable even with the first technician that worked on this issue, he insisted that since I am not a heating specialist I could not possibly know, and completely dismissed my comment. I shocked and said told him that at this point, I wasnt sure I wanted to move forward with his company, and he retorted that he wasnt sure he wanted to work with me. End of conversation.I called back and left a message that we would not be moving forward with their company. We received a bill in the mail for the wiring cost, and we replied to the company that per our service guarantee we purchased, we invoke the Ultimate Savings Satisfaction Guarantee, which states If you are not completely satisfied with our people, our performance or anything to do with our company, we will refund 100% of your money.Happily we found another company to work with that was honest, professional and able to fix our furnace/heat pump issue at a lower cost than Heat Relief had quoted.

32 degrees out and suddenly our not that old furnace stopped working! After having the gas company out unable to assess I got on the phone to find a company to come out right away. After multiple calls around I looked on the Energy Trust website and found Heat Relief with great ratings.I have to say that though the repair was a much bigger deal than we expected Heat Relief came to the rescue. I had a new natural gas barbecue with a connection that was a different size than my previous barbecue. Randy came out and was very knowledgeable about the products his company sells, as well as the possibilities for installing them. My 30 yr old heat pump died. Heat Relief didnt charge me for repairs that were not necessary. They installed a new Bryant heat pump that works great. They worked with getting it financed so my monthly payments are really low. I have AC again and Im really grateful they were here to help.

Our furnace went out and we were able to schedule someone that day to take a look. It was 25 years old and it was time for a new furnace. Mark was able to meet with me that day to talk about options. After meeting with two other companies, we chose to stick with Heat Relief due to their availability, quick response time to my (many) questions & competitive pricing. Tech Diego on time, thorough, explained what he was doing and what he discovered, answered my questions. I had some concerns about additional $ which might be required for old furnace, so Randy came within a day or two to talk about that. You know you are working with a good company, which of course would like to sell new equipment, when the advice given is NOT to pour money into upgrades or new furnace now, but to wait until its natural death, at which point new technologies will be even further advanced.

The guys came out the next morning, diagnosed the problem a quote was given to replace the dead furnace . Three days later, they were back with the new furnace, they worked all day to install it in a difficult old houseOn Monday they were back to line the chimney to vent the hot water heater. Recent heat wave compromised my AC and it needed attention. Even though I had just had my annual maintenance performed in May, apparently a thoroughly job was actually not done. Donald came and completed the inspection and repair as needed, He was very thorough and took his time to make sure the AC was working as needed.
