The owner is a stand up guy. A seal was mistakenly sliced during my tint job on my Corvette. To repair the seal, the whole back glass had to come out in order to replace the sliced seal. The owner covered all costs in returning my Corvette to like new condition again. Some shops probably would have not taken responsibility and left me on my own. The people at SunGard are honest and good local business people. I would definitely use them again. The tint turned out great and there price was significantly less than other local tint shops.

I am beyond pleased with the work these guys did. Just moved down from WA state, couldn’t get a quote back home for anything less than a grand . I called SunGuard, set up and appointment for the next day, and that’s all she wrote. Dropped it off around noon, picked it up around 4. Couldn’t be happier with the finished product, my Subaru is much more enjoyable to drive around in without the sun blasting through. Make sure you go to SunGuard next time you’re thinking about getting some tinting done!!

It was important to me to take the time to make everyone aware at what a wonderful experience I had using Suguard Tinting on my home windows. Dan showed up on time, very pleasant and extremely willing to help me with whatever my needs were. He solved a tricky problem I was facing with my HOA and made my life so much easier. Not only did he come up with a great solution to the problem, he showed up in two days and put his magic to work on my windows. Incredible workmanship is one more feather I will add to Dans cap (he has many feathers). Do yourself a favor and call Sunguard and ask for Dan to help you.

Installer scratched windshield installing the glare strip, leaving a 1 inch scratch. They denied it happened then said I should contact my insurance carrier to get a new windshield. The owner looked at the scratch with his psoriasis covered hands and also denied they did the damage. I used them several times in years past, but their failure to own up to a costly error cost them my business forever. I let as many people as possible know to AVOID Sunguard.

They made a 9:30 appointment with me when I arrived they told me they couldnt take me until 10:30. Left the car they told me one to two hours it would be done. 12:45 they called and said it was done. Went to pick it up and they didnt even start on it yet. Finally at 3:45 they finished installing it. Told me to get a teenager to set it up because he didnt know how. Im a seventy year old woman that they let sit there for the day. They might be good at tinting windows but sure are stupid when it comes to radios.

Had my car and many other vehicles tinted here and several years later they are all in good condition. No peeling or fading. Good pricing, probably won’t be the cheapest but is the most high quality tint I’ve ever gotten. Highly recommend them

Had my windows tinted one week and even though I usually do my own wiring I had them run my amp, stereo and backup camera and you cant see one wire sticking out anywhere very professional and clean. Nice waiting area also very comfy couch. If you have high end needs they got you and if you just want tinted windows they got you no bs no hassle and quality material.

Quick, affordable and well done. I got my 2020 Charger HC tinted here and Im glad I did. They made room for me the next day and did a great job on the tint. No permanent bubbles or blemishes, no lint or other fine trash stuck in the tint.Took about 2.5 hours and they have such a great location it only took a few minutes to get a ride to and from my car. Plus, they put the percentage of tint I requested without an issue, some places wont go lower then 35% regardless. All in all if your in the Punta Gorda/Port Charlotte area and need some tinting done, look no further.

We put our customers first, the job isn’t done until you’re happy. Those statements are posted on their website, but I find it hard to believe considering I was not satisfied with my tint job and the owner did not seem to care. My complaint was concerning a so-called free windshield strip that was haphazardly placed (likely by some untrained kid) on my new vehicle. I voiced my concerns to the owner and he simply stated that he was not going to damage a $200 job (ceramic over windshield) for a free strip. As a customer, I value great customer service. Based on my experience the statements posted on the companies website is false. Im not a happy customer, so according to their business slogan, the job is not done. If this company truly believed customer satisfaction was critical to their business I would not be posting this review. If youre someone who values great customer service then take your business somewhere else. This place only offers mediocre tint jobs and no customer service.

Walked into the store at 1 in the afternoon and made a appointment for 2 hours later at 3. Came back took about 45 minutes to do the tint on the Mustang. They did a great job! The price was reasonable and fair.

They’ve done my window tinting and more recently worked on my new boat with a premium WetSounds Stereo system. Several issues with the way the system was installed elsewhere. They fixed everything and got it sounding better than I could have imagined. These guys are pros and don’t BS. I’ll be taking my classic truck in soon for a new stereo. Can’t wait!!

I recently had my vans windows tinted at this shop. I was initially instructed to go here from my car deslership to have my backup camera adjusted. While I was there I asked Jenny the front desk staff if they could do my tinting as well. I couldnt have ask for a more pleasant experience. They were friendly, professional, prompt and done a wonderful job. It is too bad that I cant say as much about my auto dealership. I would not think twice about recommending friends or family to have work done here on their auto or to their home. The cost was fair and reasonable. sticker shock here. Disappointed!I have had 7 cars get their tint done here. Went in today to get a gift certificate and when I told them which one I wanted they informed me that if I used credit card it was an additional 3.25%I said I would go elsewhere....I own a business and it is a cost of doing business...build it into price. They let me walk out the door and lost a $180 sale over $5.80.Went down the street to Starr Custom tinting who took my card at no charge and saved $40 because they were running a special!

Ripped me off pretty decent. About $140. After making an appointment in person weeks in advance and they make you pay half of your quote( for replacing 4 speakers) upfront which I did , I arrive on time and he acted like he had no knowledge of my appointment. His receptionist quickly pointed out the book to him showing my time slot and my name/number. After he realized he wasn’t getting around it he then asked me if I had anything else to do instead. I replied no I scheduled my day around this appointment, that’s the whole point of AN APPOINTMENT!! So sorry to inconvenience you!? He then reluctantly took out 2 of my front speakers and afterward told me nothing was wrong with them the problem was somewhere else but replaced them anyway? Then he says sorry but maybe the problem is in the car stereo head mount itself. So I am like what do I do make another appointment or? He gave me some half ass answer and basically didn’t want to be bothered with me. I get to the desk to checkout and he tried to charge me again for all 4 speakers!! Tried to get another $140 out of me! I said I paid half so that should cover the 2. Of course the receptionist backed me up again and said that I’m good to go. He agreed and I went on my way. Nothing fixed. Paid for speakers I didn’t need. I get some of that involves labor but damn I got really crappy customer service. Oh by the way there’s a creepy guy that hangs out in the office that made a comment to me looking at my legs while my kids were standing next to me. I felt super uncomfortable. I will tell everyone I know to stay away from here.

Needed Windows tinted to escape the heat and gain a little privacy, stopped first at the competition and was treated poorly talked down too and given a outrageous price. Not particularly happy with what I got from Sun Guard. I brought my 17 foot flats boat in to have a trolling motor and speakers wired. I had all the necessary parts for installation with the exception of wires obviously. So all I was charged for was wires and labor.... which was 800 dollars! Pretty steep if you ask me to run a few wires in a 17 foot boat. First they broke my battery tray and said the battery was too big and I needed to go buy a new battery, specifically a high end battery that cost 350 dollars! They never replaced the battery tray. Then they called me to say my boat was leaking fuel and they had to stop working to find the leak.... weird right... well when I went there to investigate, I showed them I was aware the primer ball had a leak.... turns out, they were priming the ball... just to see how it compared to their boat..... so the job I asked, could have easily been done in just a few hours, took two days! They didnt need to cut any holes or anything... just run wires to pre existing speakers which were brand new. After they finished the job, when I played the music a loud hum and buzzing noise came from the speakers, their response was its normal to buzz and to turn the volume up.... really.... Its not my first boat ride, nor am I foreign to audio setup. So I disregarded this for the time being. A few days later I turned my battery switch on, and without even playing music, I heard a clicking noise from one of the speakers... the a loud pop... That was the speaker blowing... it now doesnt even function, and the rest of the speakers... well the rest sound like garbage since that occured.. you cant even adjust the treble or bass. So after dropping almost 1200, just for labor, wires, and a battery they said I needed because it would fit better.... I still have no music! On a good note... the trolling motor works fine...Update: I have changed my review from 2 stars to 4 stars because of a few things: i used my endoscope camera to make sure everything was wired as described in the manual. The speakers, amplifier, and stereo were wired perfectly with high quality wet sounds wires and connections. Everything was neat and organized. This stumped me for a few weeks. I could not figure out why I was still having problems. So I started with the basics, the fuse! The fuse was fried (literally melted with a sliver of metal making a connection)! The fuse they installed was 100amps; the amplifier requires 150amps (not sure if I understand Sun Gaurd cant control everything, so its hard to fault them... even though I am still disappointed because after spending all this money I still dont have music! I spoke to Ryan about this new finding and my issues, he was more than happy to replace the burnt up fuse and even offered to replace the blown speaker with an alternative speaker at no extra cost.

I decided to take my truck in to Sun Guard to have an updated radio with backup camera installed. Didnt think it was too difficult of a project for a company that advertises they install radio equipment. I had previously brought my brand new truck, fresh from factory, to them way back in 2004 and they had installed Rhino Lining and a truck box, and had even installed steps onto another truck I owned before that. So I felt comfortable that they had done a good job before. Well, I should have trusted my gut this time. Never felt at ease from the moment I walked in to ask about purchasing a new radio. Once it was installed I was told that they were not able to hook up controls via steering wheel column until they get the info from Toyota. Ok, that is not a problem I am patient and am happy that I have a new radio to play with. Was told it will be about a week or so. No problem! After a week goes by; no word. Two weeks go by; I call THEM and was told, No, still havent got what we need from the factory but will check into it again and call you back. One week, two weeks, three weeks, Nothing! I call THEM back again. Was told they still dont have it, they will check into it again. I am losing it now after another month and they ask me to call back, I asked when should I call them back? Another month? They said call back next week. Again, so I did. They told me at this phone call that they may need to order a module, and would have to take apart my steering column. But they give me this new bit of information in a weird tone, like this is a bad idea, and I should not want this? Bizzar! So whatever at this point. I am tired of me calling them to insure work is done and just want my truck finished. So after another week here and there the module was finally ordered and the radio finally completed. I ordered the radio 3/29/18 and it was completed beginning of August. To top it off, the back up camera is not calibrated nor lined up correctly. And my alarm system doesnt work the same as it did before either. But that is ok, because I want a new one installed. I know where I will NOT go for this to happen. Sad to say, I Just dont feel confident or comfortable with this place anymore.

Called and due to them being busy they said we cant do anything until a few weeks out, so I called BestBuy and even though I had all of my equipment (harness wires,ground wire the whole shabang) they refused to re-install and wanted me to buy all of the wires/harness again (that they didnt have in stock)So I called Sun Guard again, and ended up talking to the same person who handled my last installation, he ended up wiggling me in for my new volkswagen for a 2pm system installation, swapped my old 550 max amp, and 10 sub for two 12s and a 6 Channel 1,200ww Max amp, all new ground wires fuses, harness and T-spec.Cant wait to hear this baby.~sincerely satisfied customer~
