I have called, emailed, and chatted with TruGreen to give us an estimate on servicing our lawn. We live on a new street and both representatives on the phone and chat said someone from a local branch would need to come out. Here we are almost 4 weeks later and no one has bothered to call or come out. If you dont service the area...let us know. If youre booked up...let us know. But to have zero communication back shows the quality and responsiveness of this business. From this experience alone, I will not recommend or ever seek out services from TruGreen.

Scott Brintnall is just great. Even though True Green is a large company Scott is able to give us personalized service and customize our needs. He obviously knows his business. He is very friendly and has helped me identify many things I can do to improve my lawn. He never makes you feel rushed, and is always willing to talk.I chose True Green because I noticed that is who the best lawns in the neighborhood were using. They have the least amount of weeds. It is a great company and Scott is fantastic.

My technician was Patricia Mi illov I have to say that she was fabulous. She was so thorough and she was very precise as to where she was spraying she did a great job and I just want you to know you have some really good technicians NFL possible I like her to be the person who comes back I thank you so much

Horrible company. I use them for mosquito spraying and a family member was home the last time Trugreen came out. The tech only sprayed a little in the front. Nothing on the side or backyard. I called within 30 minutes of them leaving and explained how they didnt do the job. This was well over a week ago and still nobody has come to respray as I was promised. However, they did have time to mail me the bill. As of this writing I have spoken to 4 people to get the spraying done correctly but they still have not come. I was told respraying is done within 48 hours. Again, it has been well over a week. There are many other companies out there that do this service. Dont get ripped off like I did.UPDATE: We are now 2 weeks from the time the tech did not spray most of my yard and still no respray. According to Trugreen, respraying is done within 48 hours. I spoke with 2 different people at Trugreen on Thursday. One told me I was on the schedule for last Friday. Then, not 2 hours later I spoke with another rep and they said I was not on the schedule for Friday but they will come on Monday (today). I will keep you posted as to if they come today or not. In the meantime I have mosquitos in my yard because I can not get them to come and spray.UPDATE 2: They did not come again. I just called and I was told they would be here on the 23rd. That is three and a half weeks from when I asked for a respray. Again, they say they will do resprays within 48 hours. I was also told the branch manager would call me. I doubt it but we will see. I think we all know they are not coming the 23rd either. Horrible company and horrible customer service. Stay away.

Most importantly Ive seen an improvement in my lawn since engaging your services and fewer mosquitos too!

Nearly impossible to reach to discuss service issues. One to two hour holds to talk with a human being. Both service calls to date failed to treat large areas that were agreed at the time of contract.

Super easy way to a green lawn.

I have had problems from the start, first few times I didn’t see anyone at house , wrong house they were at ! Next the service was listed for only front yard while I was paying for all of yard , I have had to call so many times about weed control and yes I understand it’s been hot . I had to call in July and ask them for food for the lawn then told it doesn’t need it . That’s completely untrue , I got my last service July 29th now my next service was scheduled for aug 21 to 25 when I called again to say they hadn’t arrived I was told moved to sept 29 th the lawn needs to be done at certain times to ensure temp and application coincide or why bother!!! Now they want me to call them back next year to cancel !!!

Costs about the same as buying fertilizer at Lowes and they put it down for you. No brainer.

I paid in advance for the season and I’m still waiting now 8 days for the first treatment that was supposed to be a couple of days after signing up. Can’t get in touch with Noah to discuss because he will not return calls. Hold time calling the Plymouth number is ridiculous.

Lawn looks way worse after using Trugreen. Some techs only serviced half my yard on multiple occasions. They ran the aerator over my septic cover. They killed my yard

I dont know where to begin. I signed up for service for the first time and admittedly I didnt do a ton of research. After one service I got skipped and I didnt realize it because I was away. At this point my lawn was lost to weeds so I decided to ask for a refund for the remaining service. They issued the refund. Then one day late summer a flag showed up on my lawn indicating that I had surface. The problem is this was right after a service I performed myself. My lawn was completely brown within a week of the duplicate service. I called to report the issue and a week later a management person called me. They kept saying that it wasnt really possible because nobody was in the area performing service. I said I understand but theres a flag with your name on it on the front of my lawn and my lawn smells like chemicals. They said they would have a general manager call me and that never happened. Run away from this company... Dont just walk.

True Green inherited my account when my local provider sold to True green. From day one, True Green failed at every level.They transferred my account and some “other” account to my name and address. This resulted in:Two active accounts. One with zero balance (correct) and one with $180 past due notice due on receipt(wrong). Many frustrating phone calls and emails resulted in true green agreeing and zeroing both balances.They didn’t deactivate either account so they continued to service my lawn for each account days apart. RESULT WAS OVER FERTILIZATION OF MY LAWN. Called again and was told all was resolved. Frustrating hours on phone and mail.Guess i wasted my time. True green Serviced my lawn on 10/2 under one account number and just received call that they will be over tomorrow to service my lawn again. Called support and was told there us no way that could happen. REALLY!!! I will be waiting!Gave up and cancelled ANY account for my address and I pray ANY future application. True Green is DESTROYING my lawn.Hoping they dont show up tomorrow. I will have to waste a day ensuring they dont apply apply ANOTHER unnecessary application.DO NOT USE TRUE GREEN. TECH WHO DOES APPLICATION IS GREAT BUT COMPANY bEHIND IS THE MOST INCOMPETENT I HAVE EVER DEALT WITHWISH I COUKD GIVE ZERO STARS

I was home and the guy that was applying the fertilizer he was moving the grandkids toys they left on the lawn, so I said Ill be right out there to do that he said no problem no big deal I have grand kids of my own I got you Thank him again for me hes awesome!

I’ve used Trugreen for the past 3 years and my grass is getting worse each year. I’ve called numerous times to see what can be done to improve and we can never get through to a human, it’s all automated systems. The only time you can get through is for sales which is their strong point. As soon as they get you signed up you’ll never talk to another person not even the techs. When a tech shows up they are trained not to check in with the home owner because of covid, what an excuse! Here are some pictures of my lawn, keep in mind I have irrigation and my lawn use to look like a perfect green carpet before they got started.

This place is a SCAM. Impossible to cancel your account. We have been trying to cancel our account and it is impossible.

I called for aeration that was not completed. It’s obvious when it is completed because hundreds of cores would have been cut in the lawn. The man who came out fertilize the lawn in October said they were swamped and they were just running behind. I got a call back as a “courtesy call” basically telling me the notes in their computer said it was done so it was done. I offered to send photos they said okay. It took 4 calls and someone practically calling me a liar just to get a credit for the service for next year.I had already paid in advance.I’ve been a customer for years and it isn’t usually like this at all. Not sure why things are falling thru the cracks, but very sure my checkbook shouldn’t be one of them.

Do not use these clowns. Poor performance, horrendous customer service, and most people that work for them know nothing about growing grass.I redid my front lawn, spreading about 7 yards of loam and hydroseeded. About a month later, TruGreen came for typical fertilizer treatment. Called day prior and had them put a note on file to not do new grass on front lawn as it is new grass and I also just dropped another round of starter fertilizer. They came and did anyway. Grass survived as I used a leaf blower to blow off fertilizer. Next month, time for next service. Still nervous about over fertilizing, called and had them make note to avoid front lawn again and asked them to contact the actual technician to avoid what happened last time. They said they would. Next day comes, and they fertilize the area again. It was raining, so I can blow off the fertilizer. Time will tell if there is damage, but I cant believe they made that mistake....twice.Read up on lawn care, do it yourself. These guys are a joke.

Great service. Ive had 6 different guys here and every one has had a great attitude/personality and obviously enjoys the work. It must trickle down from the management. No company has this percentage of happy employees.

Completely frustrated with my experience and lack of service. I am a new customer this year and the first two treatments I received was for my lawn and mosquito application which started in May. Since then my husband would have to call once a month to question when our next treatment would be. We paid in full for 6 treatments and have only received 3 and the season is coming to an end. As a customer I should not have to call every month to question my next treatment. I was scheduled for today 8/31 and they did not show up.

I started True Green 6 months ago. . I was given a full description of what I need done and the results have been amazing. The lawn looks the best its looked in years. I would tell everyone- Use TRUE GREEN

My expectations were less than met,.My lawn looked better when I fertilized it myself! The company sells a good line but I dont notice a big improvement in the lawn. Aeration was done a week ago and I just noticed a sprinkler head was damaged. Will be calling them to n an attempt to rectify. Also have had little success in were control, still fighting with crabgrass and other weeds. Hopefully I can see improvement next year.

Called to get an in-person evaluation and have someone come out to my house to assess the lawn before committing to a treatment plan. However, they tried to come out 2 times already and apply a treatment before any in-person evaluation. I had to call them 3 times to finally get someone who understood what I wanted. Still havent had my in-person evaluation yet. If I ever get it and if I end up liking the service, maybe I will update my review.

I have been a customer for several years and just recently got a 5 star service from technician Matthew Frongillo! His professionalism makes the difference. I look forward to having Matt perform ALL of my upcoming treatments.

After a few years trying to handle my lawn and spending so much money every season, I decided to let the experts handle it and so far so good. They are very response before and after any treatments. Lawn is finally starting to come back together, but with all this rain and no sun its having a tough time. We will watch it. Whats nice is when they say keep on eye on your lawn and if you see something you dont like call us right away and we will come out . Great care.

DON’T even think about doing business with this company. I paid for every service they offer. The first year they left a 30 yard strip of dead grass across my lawn by over fertilizing. A big “eye sore” given it ran perpendicular to my front door. Tried to cancel and they apologized by aerating my lawn.The following year they sold me on spraying my bushes and trees. Now left us with 8 dead arborvitae trees. Told them about it and they offered to someone out to inspect. I told a manager, “thank you but no thank you.” Chances are you’ll just screw that up as well. She insisted and I said OK. Finally someone showed when I wasn’t home. He knocked on the door and told my wife if True Green had a part in killing my trees, then all my trees would be dead. We bought the house in 2012. So for five years we never had a problem and now it’s on us. BSOut of $1124.00 owed they have credited me $235. I will see them in court. Don’t allow this to happen to you.

I have used TruGreen on and off for the past few years. I find them to be responsive when I have concerns regarding my lawn and I recently signed up for mosquito treatments as well. With all of the rain, I feel like the mosquitos will be out in full force and I want my family protected. Ive had one treatment and no mosquitos yet, so I think I made the right decision.

TruGreen has vastly improved our lawn over the past 3 years. We have a fraction of the weeds we used to have, virtually no bare spots and the damaging insects have disappeared. We are very pleased with this lawn care company.

I love that our Trugreen services keep our lawn one of the greenest and most beautiful on the street. However our technician Lee is probably the best part about our service. He knows we have dogs and schedules us early in the morning so that our lawn service is complete before they need to go outside. He is always very courteous, explains our service and stops to chat with us. It makes the service very personal!

Great people work here, but within the Lawn Care industry, this Company is horrible. Products are bottom of the barrel and the Corporate view on their own employees is awful. Everyone is treated like a number and the Do more with less attitude shines through. This is the Big Box Store of Lawn Care Companies. Most of the people that work here are great, but these people and their abilities are held back by the corporate red tape. Average results for their customers creating average lawns.

Every year my lawn looks great for the most part as a result of TruGreen service. Whenever Ive called, Customer Service has been courteous and responsive. Unfortunately Ive had patches of sedge grass for about the past four years. When Ive called about this, specialists have come right out for treatment.. The annual cost has increased over the past few years and I hope that Ill be able to continue to afford the service because my lawn looks to good.

Both the shrub and tree, an the lawn applications were very productive in beautifying our yard. The technicians are reliable, well trained and always looking our for services which may help our specific situation. I have used TruGreen for many years and am very satisfied. I would highly recommend the service to all others.

I really like your whole year fertilization and weeds free program. Its price worthy and you did exactly what you promise to do, e.g., you return a couple of times when the weeds accumulated in our front and/or backyards. When I moved into my house house over a 1yr and a half ago, My lawn was a nasty thing to look at. It was that crab grass, sharp blades of grass (at least I thought it was grass), weeds, moss, decay, all of it. I had a TrueGreen specialist out about 2 weeks after I moved in. He suggested what we should do and to start off small as it was for a package and over time (mentioned a couple years). What, I was a little floored by timing, ( I wanted a nice lawn right away), but after going through all the treatments so far and their suggestions for seeding, I can actually see the results. I can see the real grass and OH BOY its so soft to walk on and the color is really green, like the rough at my Golf Club. Thanks so much for the service and I cant wait to now concentrate on my plants.

The service Technician came to my house today to service my lawn. He pulled in front of my house got out walk up my driveway looking around then rings my door bell. I did not answer the door. So he goes back to his truck takes out his lawn spreader dumps in 1/2 bag in spreader goes up in the back yard put down fertilizer took him about 2 minutes. Then he comes back down the driveway put his spreader back in his truck. comes back up driveway this time he knocks on the door I did not answer as he going down the front walkway he looking at my windows to see if someone was home. Then he puts his little sign on the end of the driveway then gets in his truck and leaves. I have over 12000 SQ lawn. He used less then half of bag showed up at 9.55 am left at 10.05 am. My lawn looks worse then it ever did loaded with weeds. If I could leave no stars I would. I paid for the full year. I guess I am paying for the little sign they leave at the end of my driveway. Lawn never looked better.it was always in good shape but looks thicker and greener this year, the first year under care of trugreen..got an add from former lawn care people advising trugreen recently bought out another lawn care company and now they are too big to care..dont believe it..my tech talks to me about concerns or listens to comments on each application.

If I could give them a negative number I would! Horrible customer service... very shady... managers are never available and they do not give out numbers to the local offices. They ruined my lawn and basically told me that because my service is no longer active (because I cancelled due to poor quality and service) that I am out of luck. And then they continued to try and service my lawn without my consent after I cancelled, and billed me for it! I have put in a complaint with the BBB and wrote them a 93A letter for damages. Stay far far away!!!

In a nutshell. I have the nicest, greenest best looking lawn on my street and my neighbors keep asking how. I tell them it is directly the result of your technician, Leslie Fortier. He never fails to keep me updated on problem areas and has provided me with excellent guidance as to watering, proper cutting and most importantly problems. In fact, Leslie walked the entire grass area with me and he pointed out that I had some areas that looked compacted, he remembered it had been two years since I aerated and over seeded and I had it done. The recent rain made that new grass seed take off and my lawn is beautiful. You have a great service that you offer to us but your most important cog in the wheel is Leslie. He is great at what he does and he keeps my neighbors jealous....

True Green services are competitive and reliable. To improve on their customer service I would like them to dispense with the three 11 minute robo sales pitches while waiting for a rep to come on the line. After the robo pitches are complete you are then may be asked if you would like a call-back, like I have all day to wait at home to receive their call. A separate phone number for current customers bypassing the sales pitches would be fine. Saving money by not hiring real people to answer the phones may be great for True Green but is exasperating for customers. I am making my comments in this space because of difficulty getting through to a real person who can make a difference.
