Welcome to lifetime fitness in Plymouth MN ,The facility is located across the street from Plymouth City Center in a nice area :) , The facility is rather big and well-equipped , So you have lots of equipment to choose from despite the fact that the gym is normally busy busy :)The vibe is very inviting as everybody is working out with passion and you see several professional guests (athletic). It’s also a great place for guest coming in with family members, you will have fun :)The only negative feedback I had was the fact that during my 2 1/2 hour workout none of the operational employees did check the sanitizing wipes containers that had depleted causing guests to have a walk to the last two that were working :(Other than that we really enjoyed our workout , THANK YOU Life Time Fitness.

I am a Plymouth resident so I can buy a day pass. The pool area costs $7.25 and a full gym pass costs over $9.This is an ideal situation for me because I only use the pool area for the hot tub, dry sauna, and wet sauna in my own version of a relaxing spa evening, similar to what I did in South Korea and Germany at their public bath houses.

I just relocated back to mn from Baltimore. Im not big on talking these days so I signed up online to avoid any unwanted attention and yet the concierge Marry and the lady she was working with, I didnt catch her name, managed to get a genuine laugh out of me. I worked for Montage and kimpton before that and I can tell they deliver genuine hospitality. I get it not typically considered a make or break factor on a gym but its nice to have friendly gym staff. Also I saw a gentleman inspecting the equipment which is nice to know the gym is well maintained. Really the only down side this far is some obnoxious members who lack gym etiquette. You get those at every gym under the sun that has nothing to do with the gym management.

One of the best gyms in the area. The remodel added a lot of cross-fit style workouts and squat racks. Its a huge gym and the high ceilings are nice, it doesnt make it seem like you are working out in a box.It does get crowded at times, as with any gym, so I make sure to consider what time of day I go there. The staff is typically very friendly and helpful.Karl, one of the personal trainers, was super nice and helpful. Whenever I go there to play basketball they keep extra eyes on the people of color while ignoring the white folks playing on the other side of the court. If I could give them zero stars I would.

Lifetime Fitness is a pretty nice gym. It is close to work at PFGC Vistar & close to home in Plymouth. They’re the best gym - better than LA Fitness. It is located several blocks from Wayzata High School, & a block from the library & grocery store. The powerlifting weight racks are nice, & that is a unique touch. There are sexy girls there. As a warehouse shipping employee there is plenty of exercise you get just from doing your job but ya there’s definitely some snazzy equipment there & all that. Sleep troubleThis location is familiar to me & everything seems tidy & neat, free towels, bathrooms work, no smell, huge facility, etc. A pastor, Sam Royco, seems good. Socially things seem fine & nice & convenient for gym patrons. Several friends come to this gym often - Blake & Kenny & Rob. A sibling, Hans, & a relative, Eeva, come to use the facilities here as well. Man, I hunger for junk food after visiting this gym. Health concerns.Im sorry to say this but a gym membership does not fit in the budget at this point in time. Am unable to commit to the monthly fee. I wish them on staff all the best in their endeavorsRegards,Powertech

They asked for literally everything when I was just trying to get in with a guest pass. I drove 20 minutes just to get denied in a very unprofessional manner at the door. I understand that this is mostly because of the fact that I am a teenager, as this place has a record of treating teens poorly. I was willing to pay to get in, however it’s almost as if they wanted to deny me. The lady working at around 6:45 on Monday, August 3rd was not only unhelpful, but also quite rude. Been my gym for a few years now and I love it. Consistently clean, routinely upgraded equipment, and fun classes included. Two different kinds of pools is fun for exercise or a day out. The staff are super kind and helpful (even if you keep locking yourself out of your locker on accident). The spa inside is also amazing, and Ive been here multiple times for massages. The membership is expensive, but worth it if you use the available services.I did not give 5 stars because I find the practice of baiting a new member into a free personal training assessment just to up-sell protein powder and expensive personal training is a bit unethical. The communication online could also be a bit better about which services are available, and the pool being closed off for most of the year during peak hours for the high school swim team is a bummer.

John Small was probably the best admissions/gym sales reps I have ever worked with in the initial process of joining a club. He was extremely professional, thorough, and knowledgeable on everything Lifetime. I went into the process with a lot of concerns regarding how to cancel(which you need to do in person at the club or via certified mail) with a month notice; as well as questions regarding my health insurance discount. More than anything I was blown away by how empathetic he was in his approach to introducing me to the classes, b-ball games, and overall strategy to get into the gym more often and enjoy my time there.Would recommend!

Plenty of hand sanitizers, cleaning wipes and checking temps at the door. 😷😉♥️😍🏃‍♀️🏋️‍♀️Disappointed but not surprised. We went back for the first time after the lockdown around 10:00 am. My daughters and I were the only ones wearing a mask. Yes, the staff members were wearing one but that didnt make me feel safe at all. The weight area was quite full of people and social distance was not an option. Plus, I hoped they would check temperatures at the check in desk. The treadmills were at a safe distance and we found improved sanitation stations. I just wish people could be more respectful and understanding.

At that point, I asked will it remain on hold for that 30 days. That staff member stated yes. Jan. 3rd, 2021 I went in to give the 30 day cancellation. My kids take swimming lessons and its a joke. I would say 1 out of 6 staff members are welcoming and friendly. I am considering quitting by this alone. Then I got an email saying they were raising my rates and Im already unhappy. This being said, I am considering going to the YMCA. I dont understand the negative reviews of staff and think these must be situational frustrations. Ive been at the club 2 months now and the staff is the biggest selling point to me. Everyone at the front desk has greeted me with a smile every time I come. In a week every member of the staff at the kids academy greeted my daughter by name when the saw her. One week. My daughter still says hi to John who signed us up every time she walks by his office.Kirsten in the swim program has been extremely helpful in getting us signed up for lessons and my daughter has enjoyed them a lot. We do lessons during the day because I am an at home dad and we basically get 1 on 1 or 2 on 1 lessons.Regarding the over crowding, its a great club. Thats why its busy. If youre willing to be friendly you can work with others around you. Ive seen a few times that the treadmills get filled up, but thats part of coming to a popular gym at a popular time. I also see folks saying they would go to another gym if one was available. There arent any because Lifetime offers things no other gym Ive been to has. Included childcare of the quality they provide sets them apart on its own.Regarding reservations, the lap pool being out of commission during high school swim practice is annoying, but there is a leisure pool that is usually available. Ive never seen the whirl pools unavailable but this might be the case during special instances. And, yes, classes often reserve equipment on the fitness floor, but there are always signs posted with times of class so you can plan your workout accordingly. Ive also never been pressured by a trainer and several times Ive asked if Im in their way and Ive been welcomed and worked around. In short, I have been here two months, Ive visited 3 other Lifetime clubs and none of them compare to the Plymouth location (even platinum clubs), and I am convinced Lifetime is whats been missing in my life. Im a convert and I think every single at home parent needs a membership for the childcare if nothing else. The availability of an hour or two of break from kids is worth the cost alone.

My favorite thing about Plymouth LT are the group fitness classes and instructors - the vibe here is very energetic and enthusiastic, my favorite location to take classes! The facilities are fine, but not as updated as some of the other gold level clubs (Fridley especially). Also it gets very busy and the locker rooms very crowded at peak times! Between sharing with Wayzata HS swim teams and regular classes, the lap pool is rarely available for use. As busy as this place is, it could really use separate yoga/pilates studios.

A couple days later, I need to go in to reinstall the member for myself and the kid. I dont think all staff are well trained on what they are doing.Another issue is, the swimming staff is suck. ( If youre planning to sign up swimming lesson here, please stop, do yourself a favorite). They constantly changing the swim instructors, likely every other week. Most of them are high school students. There is one girl always look tires and yawning constantly during teaching my kids. My daughter complained that she drink too much water during the lesson. I always feel likes I should have taking my kids back and walk out of there whenever my kids get assigning to her. Results: I will be cancelling my member ship after 10 years with them. They just took out approximately 20 fitness machines to add space to their group training. They added these stupid jumping boxes. Very few use those boxes and most who do are very young. Very member unfriendly gym with stop signs and reserved signed on way to much equipment. Weve had 2 big membership price increases and we end up with less space and equipment. They went from 52 tread mills down to 46, then when the stop signs go into effect, that leaves 34 tread mills for the lowly base members who only pay $75 per month. If you want to use a bench press or squat rack, half will be missing bars for they are used in their group fitness. Total joke and very member unfriendly. Ill be dropping my membership
