This has been the best La Fitness I have been to in my years of being a member. They did an amazing job renovating it after being shut down for a couple years. The atmosphere and how they implemented the cross fit field brings a whole new experience to my work outs. The staff and management are very friendly and courteous towards everyone. The place is always organized and clean. They really care how everything operates. It’s awesome how I live down the street from it, and I’m proud to be a member of this facility.

Equipment is great, staff are great. Facility is absolutely too small. Ridiculously so. A workout that would normally take an hour takes about 2 because there just isnt enough equipment. The place is constantly packed. You spend more than half your time there waiting on equipment.

It’s WAY TOOOOO HOT! I understand that the staff is cold but we are working out and 74 degrees is not cool! Please fix it!I love the new lay out! Only draw back is how busy it gets in the afternoon. The front desk staff, Carol is always greeting the guests with a friendly face. She’s definitely dedicated and I see it in her work ethic every time I’m there. The lady with shorter brown hair that cleans in the AM really does an amazing job. She doesn’t talk much but truly keeps the place so clean and I appreciate that!

There’s a lot of great equipment with a very spacious turf area. However, the members are inconsiderate and have poor respect for others… Free weights are re-racked in the wrong place or on the floor. Members also do not wipe down equipment after use. For the sake of your sanity, I would recommend getting a membership somewhere else.

By far the best gym i’ve been to in a while. i love the staff give such a warm welcome and always here to help in any way possible. The Fitness directors are honestly the best, anytime i have question on certain exercises i can always rely on them to give me the best advice.

Used to come here before the explosion and it was my favorite. After having to relocate for years and trying all other la fitness gyms in the area. I decided to return after seeing the sign it was open again. We returned and loved the remodeling, definite recommend cuz

This location of la fitness was very spacious ! It had all of the amenities that I need and I was helped by a nice worker named myles who gave me a tour.

Beautiful facility. It is unfortunate that neither members or staff can seem to put their weights away or clean up. Nobody likes spending 10 minutes finding a pair of dumbbells. The bathroom is also quite dirty. Mirrors have not been cleaned in at least 3 days.

As a master trainer at this location by far its the cleanest location I’ve worked at friendly staff professional managers.

The Plantation, FL, LA Fitness is a quality gym. I found their equipment well maintained and like new. The front receptionist was very friendly and quickly addressed my questions. I’ve been a member of another LA Fitness gym in Texas, but this facility far exceeded my expectations. I would recommend this gym to my family and friends.

Its a very pleasant place but the manager is not very kind. My nephew (who has a subscription), gave me a 5 days pass and the manager at the Plantation location, wont let me use it with no reason. He has such a rush to sale, that he forgets to have a nice customer service.

Meh. Showers, saunas, locker rooms generally dirty. Its not reassuring they have signs up looking for cleaners. Its too small and they only have 3 squat racks for the whole gym. I just moved in 5min from this place and went in on a trial to try it out but its far too busy and I couldnt get any of the equipment I wanted. They acted extremely rude to me because I was on a trial but Im so glad I didnt sign up. Place just isnt good vibes overall.Edit - Literally got covid from this place. And they wont stop emailing me ABSURD offers on memberships for this cruddy gym.

This location is recently opened after the gas line explosion , but looks great with new equipment.

Beautiful place, the Zumba classes are now 45 minutes including the cool down, which is very disappointing. They should be 1 hour. It’s not worth driving all this way for such a short class.

Compared to other LAFs: nice machines, but lacking variety of ab and leg machines. Only 2 squat machines. And 4 sets of pulley machines plus one. Machines amd weights slightly crowded at 8:30pm. Big stretching/yoga area and PT area. A big plus: they have increments of 2.5lbs dumbells in the weight area! 7.5, 12.5, 17.5, etc!! And like all LAFs in so flo, the raquetball courts are a waste of space, not occupied, should use that space for more machines as listed above!! Arlington, VA has the best LAF.

Staff at desk was very pleasant. The equipments are similar to what Im used to, not very modern but satisfactory. The parking was adequate for the amount of people that utilizes the mall and gym facility. Look out for the two sets of stairs before entering the main lobby.

Just dont expect the wi-fi to work when your on the cardio machines.

Gym had a huge renovation after the gas fire explosion.Has Olympic plates for serious Olympic lifters and people who want to practice that style of lifting and plenty of cardio equipment for just your recreational gym goer.

This location gets all three stars for the newness of the facility. However, they sign up way to many members to the point you are constantly waiting for a machine. The only way to get a good workout without waiting is to come early in the morning or an hour before they close. I am an avid class participant as well. However, I think this location could diversify their staff more as that there are very few good advanced classes.

Awesome gym with a great variety of equipment. People at the check in desk are very positive and friendly. Frank is awesome along with the trainers that work there. All nice professional people. All the other gyms suck compared to this place!

Fairly new and nice facility, staffs there have came a long way making the facility friendly and enjoyable for members. In addition, people working out there whether Old, young, students or professionals, all very courteous doing their own workout minding their own business. Courteous and some what respectful to each other just goes a long way! Also, more and more people clean up after their workout stations soon after, a very good sign as well!! Good work to everyone!

I’m only giving it 3 stars because it’s way to busy. The problem is LA fitness needs to open an additional gym in the area and stop trying to over load this location. Outside of not finding parking and the headache of getting to use equipment at 7:30 pm it’s a clean location with good amenities. Hopefully they can solve the over crowding.

The gym is closed. If you love getting ripped off and have the staff treat you poorly, then L.A. Fitness is a place for you.

Decent clean gym with plenty of amenities. As with most gyms, it depends when you go on how busy itll be.It doesnt seem like people are encouraged to put weights away in the right spot when theyre done with them. Im constantly having to search for the proper weight, or put away other peoples weight when theyre done.

Loved the plantation location. Sadly it closed down due to the gas leak explotion next door, and I had to start going to the one on Oakland/University. Hated it there and couldnt justify the cost, so I have since cancelled my membership.

Edit: This location has been closed for several months due to an explosion in the shopping center. Google wont update the info, but this location is closed and doesnt appear to be scheduled to reopen in the near future.Ive been to plenty of LA Fitness gyms, and I generally like them. This is by far the most consistently crowded LA Fitness Ive ever been to, though. Its a shame because theres really nothing wrong with the gym, and theres not much management can do, but it often feels impossible to get a full workout in because of the overcrowding.

Ive been a member of LA Fitness for six years or so and I think its a terrific gym. Its priced right and it has everything. If you looking for a gym please consider LA Fitness.

Ive been to over a dozen LA gyms in my life and this one is my favorite. The staff does their best to keep the weights racked properly, its always being cleaned, and the employees are top notch. I was lucky to have Jane help me sign up a couple of my friends with a fair rate. She came through with her promises and both of them are very pleased with the experience. Visit this gym and ask for Jane!

My husband and I joined the gym about a month ago and we absolutely love this place! Pretty clean, machines in very good condition, all the classes are amazing with awesome instructors and very friendly staff. We enjoy our workout every day. Highly recommended.

5 stars because their Kids Club is amazing. The Kids Club on Flamingo in Pines is awful so I’m very grateful for the staff at this one. They are so sweet & genuinely care about my son. It’s not just “put him over there somewhere” (like the young lady at the other club literally told me when I brought my 1 year old). He initially went once then came back 2 weeks later & they still remembered him & his name & were so excited to see him. My son even jumped from my arms to the lady because he remembered her. Unlike the other Kids Club, I can peacefully work out here knowing my son is safe & being taken care of so I don’t have to constantly check on him. Also, the front staff here is very nice & always open to answering questions.

Overall, a great facility and ample amounts of machines. Never too overcrowded. I was especially impressed with the special attention I got from the representatives in helping me set up a membership. If youre looking for a representative in particular, I would definitely recommend Zack Leeds.

Its shears so clean and all the stay and members are friendly. Its a wonderful environment to exercise in. The kids club here is the best as well. I feel very comfortable leaving my children with these ladies.

I love this gym,the gym is clean except the mats,dont know how often its been clean cause the men restroom floor is dirty and members walk on floor then walk on mats where you have to lay on.lots of pet hair. Need to be clean more often but besides that I love everything else about the gym.

Location is good. Facility is good. People who work there are liars and scammers. When opening a membership I requested to know what fees, if any I might have to pay and they conveniently forgot to mention the $35 they charge to put your account on hold. Got injured at work, called in to pause my account and had to find this out. Will not be renewing my membership.

Much better now after reno. Used to be gross, carpeted benches in dressing room. Now it is better with no carpet. Bathroom was still dirty tho.

There is a great selection of free weights and machines. The machines are almost new and almost always kept in perfect condition. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The gym is always clean and I havent heard about any security issues. The only issue Ive seen is that there is a pull down machine with the grip sliding back that hasnt been fixed after a few months. Also sometimes it gets a little crowded during peak hours.

I like the facility. I like the trainers. But the manager, Genevieve, is a piece of work. Abrasive with an unwillingness to do things within her means to retain clients. #bringCedricback

The gym is new and clean, but my phone was almost stolen there. A kid ran into the womens locker room while I was in the sauna. i was by the sauna door where there is glass so I saw him trying to grab for it by my bag. I ran after the kid and caught him. Location just needs to do better on checking customers in. Turns out the kid snuck in and wasnt even a member. 😑

I like this location its clean has great staff and good vibes. The only location I have been to that is bad is the Hollywood FL location. Its dirty and something is always broken.

Horrendous customer service from Cedric Sanderson. Don’t ever get scammed with their “training program” it’s all flashy and fantastic when they are trying to catch you, but once you are in, they just don’t care. He said literally: “I couldn’t care less” disappointing LA Fitness location.

More expensive than other gyms, and i feel like Im stalked by trainers desperate to whip me into shape. Nice facility though. Clean, well maintained, lots of machines and training space.I had to take a star off because they hold me prisoner to Faux News in the locker room. I always end up leaving the gym angry.

Such a wonderful place to work out, has all the amenities of a top notch gym, plus a POOL!! Brand new, and only minutes from my home. 👍👍

More up to date leg machines please! One equipment for some of the leg exercises but several for the arms makes it difficult to give 5 stars.

Ive been a member longer than a year and trained at multiple locations around the country. Never had an issue before THIS location. Went to use a piece of equipment and a trainer belittled me and sent me away because Im not a personal training client. Theres only ONE of this item in the gym and nobody used it for the duration of my workout. This location needs to put their trainers in line because he was completely unprofessional.

Like the people! Good energy without going overboard. Would like more updated classes. Zumba is wonderful there. Would like to see more kickboxing, general aerobics, pilates especially mat. Excellent for the cost. First year is expensive but you get breaks after that.

Started out amazing then quickly got dirty. Havent been in a while but used to visit daily. They need more maintenance staff and a porter service.

I was convinced to try a personal trainer which I disclosed I had previous back surgery and I did not want to risk anything with my back. They assigned a 21 year individual which they later admitted was far too inexperienced for someone in my condition. I reminded her of my back, but she assured me that she knew what she was doing. Needless to say, after one session, my back is much worse and I was advised by my doctor to never do that type of training. I asked them to refund the non used sessions as I had only completed one lesson and would never train with such amateurs again. Management is super inexperienced and only care about their sales numbers rather than long time clients.

Loved this LA fitness. It is fairly new and does not have the smell of sweat stuck on the floor yet. The only thing missing is a steam room.

This place is all about taking your money, the staff could careless about you. It was 15 dollars for a drop in fee of one day. Plus they still wanted me to fill out a full application. (fancy way to get all your information). GYM itself looks clean and very large.

Bummed out, I wanted to join, but the 3 ladies at the front desk could not tell me the monthly fees. Apparently, only Ryan their salesperson could, but he was busy giving a couple a tour; I passed him giving myself a tour.. I am visiting Fort Lauderdale for the week and needed a place to go work out. LA fitness is just on the corner near my dads house so I walked in there. I was greeted by this really nice guy, Zach Leeds. He was extremely helpful right off the bat and I will definitely be working out here for the time Im in Fort Lauderdale. Not only that, I will recommend this place to all my friends because the facility is top notch..

Ive visited LA fitnesss across the country and this is the worst location so far. Bathrooms are always disgusting This location needs extra staffing to remain sanitary considering the large flow of people per day. All of the dumbbells are in the wrong places on the rack and have been this way for the past 6 months. Plates and equipment scattered everywhere. Half of the water fountains are inoperative at any given time, and when they do work its warm water. Need safety clips for the Olympic bars? Good luck! They are far and few... and when you do find a pair of safety clips they are mangled beyond belief..... You would think LA Fitness would be promoting safe lifting right? Not here.....Forget about playing basketball or volleyball in the gym... Its overtaken by a bunch of clickish bros.The GM and front desk staff are friendly and accommodating. Hope HQ expands their budget so they can get some help.HQ needs to visit this location to straighten this mess up!There is a parking garage beneath the gym which provides nice shaded parking during the summer heat in South FL.Still beats going to planet fitness I guess...

Showed the operations manager my nice red training jacket and a picture of the top of her lockers, asked her why it turned from red to black from dust she told me I shouldnt even look on top of the lockers let alone set something up there instead of taking ownership and owning up to her responsibility. Other than that this is a nice gym

The only problem with this gym is the cleaning.The womans bathroom is just disgusting, the WCs are always dirty, toilet paper everywhere on the floor and the showers are something so disgusting that I dont even know how to explain it, Ive been seeing a fake eyelash on one of showers for more than a week; Once I saw a key on the floor for three weeks. DO NOT SHOWER WITHOUT SANDALS!!!!The woman that is there for maintenance is SO RUDE, once she cleaned a shower because SHE WAS GOING TO TAKE A SHOWER and an old women got in the shower without knowing and she started screaming in the changing area that disgusting old woman got inside the shower that I clean to use myselfBesides this, I believe that this gym is pretty good
