This place is toxic and run by a crazy fake doctor Rhodes. They don’t return phone calls they make excuses and falsely report to the courts because they are incompetent and don’t have any regard for the families lives and children’s they effectively destroy. All they care about is money which is why dcf contracts them out they are that bad. You will get sicker not better if you trust and Rely on these people

I came to Fifth Street counseling over a year ago & for what it is I genuinely like it. If you are facing problems that make life complicated and would like the help of a professional, you can get that help here. Dr. Rhodes just makes it easy to talk about the issues & get real & honest with yourself so you can work through your problems.

If you have to go to this office please request another location to do your classes if possible. They are so unprofessional Shikara & Judith are the current front desk receptionist . Just because your charge they talk to you any type of way which is not professional . They don’t understand that they maybe dealing with people that have depression, anxiety , stressed or just don’t like to be disrespected. From the tone of how they talk to you on the phone they don’t want to be disrespected as well . Horrible CUSTOMER SERVICE/ Horrible FRONT DESK SKILLS!! they need to upgrade the staff to professional people that can talk to people and need to stop hiring people who don’t have the background work

Good Day to the people in treatment I hope all is well. This is a long journey and it wont be easy however keep positive and learn from the help that is provided. I can only speak about my time with 5th Street Counseling. I want to thank the whole staff, it was a rough start but with the help of the staff it made the process easier. My name is Alyse and I’ve been coming to fifth street counseling for a few months, the staff here are amazing! They genuinely care about your sobriety and want to see you succeed and they provide great life skills to keep you on track for when you complete your time here. I mainly always see the women working here and of course my counselor, Kayla, Leslie and Shakira, all of you guys are so special to me and you’re always so nice and very helpful! Maggie, you are like the aunt I wish I had. I look forward to seeing you because you are so understanding with every situation I come to you with and you always remind me that there is going to be a better outcome if I just keep doing good. They help me stay sober. They offer a Vivetrol shot that changed my life. I spoke with Garry and was screened to make sure I was able to receive the shot. They also offered counseling with a very experienced counselor Alan, who was genuine and actually knew what I was going through. Without the shot I would probably be back to square one by now and it’s been 10 months of no desire to use. Thank You Fifth Street Counseling.

I was nervous at the beginning that I would have to speak in front of people but that disappeared because of my counselor Ramona. The whole staff is respectful - but they deal with all kinds of people - and helpful. I completed my counseling and I have a great new outlook on life and with great joy I too can help those that have lost their way. Thank you Ramona and Fifth Street.

I greatly benefited from my 12 one hour sessions last summer. Mr. Robert Scardino was my therapist and he was very helpful, knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend Bob to anyone. They have a great staff, including Gary who got me started on my first day. Good record keeping for my case, which was appreciated. My insurance covered most of the expense and I was surprised how much it helped.

Dr Rhodes is very inappropriate touchy feely I asked her twice now in the office to respect my space and even still ! this woman has no boundaries. She weirds me out

Worst customer service I have ever experience. During this tine of crisis you would think they would be willing to help but is the exact oposite! I have called various reps and no one seems to know anything. I have asked to speak with a supervisor but they don’t have one or not willing to transfer you over to someone who is in charge. All they care about is taking your money and don’t even give you the proper credentials to Join a ZOOM meeting.It is very disappointing!

Dr. Kathleen Rhodes and her staff are very helpful and caring. They worked with me while my insurance was accepted. The center offers group sessions. I had the opportunity to meet others that provided supposed and understanding. You will receive a complete service with support from the staff and everyone involved.

Every time I go there the young lady Shakira is always there with a friendly smile to assist. She is very non judgmental and makes coming to this location very comfortable. She is also very patient as well. She is an assist to have. Thank you Shakira... Ten starts if I could.

I was sent to this place because I was given a ticket for a minuscule amount of marijuana. I am licensed by the State of Florida to possess Medical Marijuana. The court sent me here to be evaluated. I do not do any other drugs or drink alcohol. The doctor I saw told me in confidence that she was going to call the courts and let them know that I did not have any substance abuse issues. Within 2 hours of my meeting with the doctor, I received a phone call form her office (she conveniently left) and I was told she recommended me for a 26 week substance abuse program. This place is a fraudulent money pit.I am notifying AHCA and other Florida State Agencies about this place. I should have known based upon all of the other reviews. Its 2019 people and your attempting to ruin peoples lives by coating your pockets. For medical reasons I am using an alias to protect my medical rights covered under Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Ramona Sanchez is a very professional counselor with a broad understanding of behaviors and the psychology behind them. She genuinely cares about her clients and their success, and is a pleasure to talk to.

My sister went here and had to do a hair follicle test and they did an amazing job at leaving her hair as neat as possible when removing it.

I needed a place that had Saturday classes in Pompano and this place has them. The staff was very nice and the counselors are very professional. I didnt like to pay every week, but it wasnt that expensive. The classes really helped me and my girlfriends relationship. My lawyer told me to choose this place and she was right. Thanks to my counselors Alan and Ramona.

The ladies, although, maybe their first stop at counseling, are good.I have not been able to get an appt, or have my ins approved for 8 10 months.Its just a game at this point.But, going to a dozen psychs to find the least ignorant, and lots of pills?This not for the meek. Very professional counseling center, I can tell that most people that are here are court ordered so there is a lot of bitterness about certain things within the program however I have found that the counselors truly do care about their work and helping you through whatever problems you might have. I received a list of places to do anger management and required to do 13 weeks. I came into this place not only do they over price your visit based on your income but they add additional class which is unnecessary. Please call around other places before selecting this place. They only want your money and waste your time.

I was pretty mad when I had to attend 5th Street and had to pay every week but my classes were actually very interesting and the staff were always polite and professional to me. I attended classes on Saturdays which was convenient to me and my counselor let me express myself without feeling stupid. My lawyer told me I didnt have to attend, but my Judge said it was good that I went to all of my classes and I got early termination from my probation.

Initially I was upset about the 26 weeks that Dr. Rhodes recommended. Shortly afterwards I was given an additional 26 weeks due to some rule change and then my blood begin to boil. I did not think I needed the help. As time passed, I begin to understand how wrong I was and I also noticed how passionate the counselors and staff were, especially Ramona, about helping me with my behavioral patterns and impulses. I am now more aware of myself and my surroundings. This is a great place for counseling and help. I highly recommend them to anyone seeking assistance with anger management or drug abuse.

I was court-ordered to take anger management classes and was initially skeptical.After research I found 5th Street to be the most affordable. Upon arrival the front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming.I met Ramona and was immediately impressed by her energetic and compassionate demeanor. She always listens and is very knowledgeable about alternative reactions to specific anger situations. Ramona’s sessions have taught me many things.I highly recommend 5th Street Counseling as a path to lead towards happiness and stress management.
