The products are good almost all the time but the customer service at cash registers are terrible. This white dude casher literally refused to help me with the product I was looking for.It’s understandable if he doesn’t know where the product is but he refused to tell me what aisle is it when I asked him for second time like he literally just told me. Everything I asked he said “I don’t know.”Need a little neutral respect and professionalism here.

Always found this location in particular great! Staff is always very professional for any store similar to it, the focus really seems a productive and pleasant shopping experience. Been here for years and never had a bad word to say.

Wasnt very crowded, but only two registers were open. They moved very quickly. The selection is always good and plentiful.

Been coming to this place since 2017, selection was indeed large and plentiful. Of course with it being such a big store, not everything will always be stocked and although customer service was not the best, its not the worst.Until recently,Maybe its the lack of people interested in working at the place? Maybe its the hash working condition at the customer service section?Whatever it was, I understand it all too well, after all, everyones who coming to shop here definitely work in retail or restaurants services and have a handful in dealing with customers, in a polite way.Recently the check out services have been going down the drain, new faces are popping up every week causing a slow traffic. Im no stranger to wait in line but when the guy in front of me have less than 10 items and it take 10+ minutes to get him check out, there a problem. Time is money. If your new hire have not been properly train, dont put them to work.Maybe because of how new people are coming in every week it now stressed out the veterans there. I noticed eveyone attitude have changed a lot in this recent months, especially in the last two month. Staffs are becoming less and less helpful and sometimes just simply rude.I have always tolerate the fact that strong explicit language is often used by the staffs here or the fact that during the height of the Covid pandemic staffs are not wearing their mask properly, cant blame the staffs, its the person who is in charge that should be responsible - the manager.You cant really have sign said all customers have to wear a face covering when shopping here if many of the staffs members cant even wear one properly.I can go on and on and on but I know you wouldnt care, after all there are only one Restaurant Depot in the Pittsburgh area. But I simply just want the staffs here to do better.

Learned alot in my 12 yrs there hated 2 leave but i had no choice new boss changed my set hours 2 smthing he knew i couldnt work customers were great loved helping them got 2 know alot of them2 miss that job !!

Obviously Im not expecting high level of customer service or high quality products but some of their employees are flat out A holes and I had some produce from them that I wouldnt feed to hogs not to mention people. Mostly fine for frozen and pantry items. Some prices make sense some dont.

They have parking for truck drivers ,semi truck entrance is from 32rd street people are very nice who are working here ,,request to truck driver that try to come late night or early morning

For the truckers. There are so many people here just placing reviews but nothing useful. Do not follow your Garmin GPS. It will lead you into 35th street, which is limited access and a bit too small for a 53 semi truck. The entrance to this facility is on 33rd street, by going under the train tracks. The best way in is to get into Penn Ave from 32nd street or from 40th street. There is a small patch for overnight parking. They will tap you when they are ready to take you in. Time now is 0121. Update: Someone knocked on the truck at 0505, docked ten minutes later, and they started unloading as soon as I docked. It took them 45 minutes to get unloaded.

This place is one of my favorite shopping stores .. the fresh fish is second to none .. staff are very helpful when you ask them, especially the fish team, they know their products, and they give you an honest answer .. will keep coming back for more ..

Had an Appointment for 12am unloading. They changed there hours of operation to 5am to 12pm. No notice. Asked what time they will start to unload truck at 815 am. Been here over 8 hours past scheduled appointment. They slammed the door on my hand. Will come get you when we get to you. Have lost reload, out of hours for driving. Advice, dont deliver here. Also thinking of calling the police.. might have 2 broken fingers. .

Great place to buy all the things you like from your favorite places to eat. Admittedly, some things are priced a little higher than other bulk buying stores, but others are cheaper. Really like the prices on 15doz egg boxes and pre cooked bacon strips. Generally a box of 300 bacon strips is under $30. Great place for ppl who cook for functions and food industry for sure as the name would imply. We got our membership under our business (which is generally required) years ago. We also have a family of 8 and this shopping option comes in handy.Do not forget to wear something warm as almost half of the store is a walk in freezer. Not great for arthritis, but welcome on a hot summer day for sure.

One star for parking. Rude and unprofessional lumpers. They definately need training in customer service. The people who deliver your products are customers too. Nothing will be done, no changes will be made in their attitude or productivity.

Very few masks being worn by employees, clients, or management. So if thats your thing go nuts. But if youre expecting an environment where people take the safety of their guests safely, head elsewhere.Also this place is pretty awful on a normal day.

My friend really enjoyed shopping here today since Restaurant Depot is now open to the public. We bought about $60 of specialty items here we cant find so easily in regular grocery stores. I highly recommend you keep this store open to the public permanently. You will turn a higher profit when you add individual shoppers to your pool of customer base given the location this store is in. This location is in a food desert in terms of nearby grocers within walking distance that offer the level of items that you do. These are quality items that are hard to find that people who enjoy cooking at home would buy in bulk. Hypothetically, if you attract on a given day 50 individual shoppers who spend approximately $100 on their visit, thats $5,000 in additional revenue/day, $35,000 additional revenue a week, and nearly $2M in additional profits/year - just a very rough rough estimate. I am not a retail expert but just my take on the additional potential revenue you might be missing out on.

Keep calling to ask about their products. Long way to drive to check it at store. Customer service is really bad. No one pick up phone If someone pick up phone , you will wait forever. I tried to called them 3 days in a row and I didnt get answer what I need to ask them.

Large selection of restaurant supplies. Up until about 2 years ago the employees were not very friendly or helpful. It seems like they have been getting much better. The employees dont make you feel like you are bothering them now and have had a few go out of their way to help out.

Employees are always helpful, ask them for a location of item, they ask if your looking and offer to get it for you ,they give you a smile when your kind enough to respect their workspace and move out of their way. Sorry to say but the some customers are so oblivious to who is working and shopping around them. The customers are rude, , if they claim about rude employees , Im sure its because its 10x worse for them. Basic courtesy goes along way..

Restaurant Depot is a nasty place to shop. I very much dislike when I have to visit this place. There are some friendly and helpful people on the floor but I have had several very negative experiences.1) Several of the checkout clerks never look at you or make eye contact whatsoever. There is one particular clerk who just barks at you. One time I tried to say something like how are you doing today and she just barked at me to sign the credit card pad. Never heard a word I said.2) On another occasion I was checking out and in the middle of the process she just sat down. I was wondering what was going on so after a minute or two I asked her if there is a problem. She barked that she is waiting for a price on an item. Wouldnt you think that she would have the courtesy to tell me why I am standing there waiting?3) They leave empty boxes by the checkout area for customers to take and one time after loading several on my cart a manager came over and accused me of stealing meat. She picked up every one to find the stolen goods but when she found that every one was empty, she just walked away. No apology for accusing me wrongly.4) I recently tried to return a bench brush which I found to be soiled and used when I unpacked it. The response? There is no way we would have sold it like this. Really? Someone must have cleaned up a mess and put it back on the shelf. Would I really waste my time over a $5 brush when my order is for 100s of dollars?I have on several occasions corrected them when they have undercharged me, ringing up a single item when I was purchasing a case of something. I wonder why I bother but decided not to damage my own integrity and become one of them.Shopping at Restaurant Depot is dehumanising. It is convenient but I will shop elsewhere whenever I can.

Too long unloading. Checked in 3.20am and got paperwork 7.50am.But I surprised EFS check paper theyre selling 4$.I never met like this sheet in America.

FREE COFFEE AT ENTRANCE.Great variety, easy to get lost and buy what you didnt know you needed not just for business but for home use. Some items VERY competitively priced, others not.

This store is meant for Restaurant owners and so everything is sold in bulk. However small quantities are also available for individual customers. However they discourage individual customers by making membership available only to registered businesses. It is a very big warehouse. Selection is large. I am an individual buyer but find this store very good on occasions. For example great store to go if you are throwing a party.

Its not as difficult to get to as it looks, just have to watch out for the car drivers that dont understand the concept of wide turns and so block up entire lanes and get mad when you cant slide past them on a right hand turn. They have overnight parking so show up the night before and they will come knocking when its receiving time, just give them your bills and theyll tell you what door to go to. Easy process overall, but yes it does take a while about 4 hours past my appointment time to get unloaded, but thats more time to sleep before having to deal with Pittsburgh traffic.

I just left restaurant depot with the poorest of poor experience at the cash register. This African American with long black hair was extremely rude, not friendly, not interested in being there.They need better customer service.We all work very hard in the restaurant business and that’s the first thing you look at is the employees. Train them, employ happy people , friendly people. !

Great prices if you can been, borrow, or steal a card (I do not condone stealing!)! For the boneless skinless chicken breast price alone, it is worth it! Better than Costco or Aldi prices on many items (but the other stores may have them beat for certain items).

For truckers, when I called to ask for best truck route, this is what they told meFrom the bridge on 40th, turn right onto butlers, then right on 36th, left on smalls and right under tracks on 33th.Its tight, if you take this route make sure you go extra wide especially right turn from butlers into 36th

Laziest reciever I have ever delivered to they have bad attitudes and they hold the trucks for hrs for no reason came in at 9 now it’s 2 to deliver one pallet I delivered to a lot of restaurant depot location really this is the worse

I always have a good experience when in Restaurant Depot, anytime I call them on the phone and ask about them having anything in stock the girl who answers the phone is very rude and condescending.

Do not deliver here. They could careless about your time. You will spend hours here. Arrived at 11am for a 13:00 . Got in the dock at 15:00. Am being told it will be about 3 plus hours to get half a load received a d unloaded so I can be on my way. . It does look like you can park here overnight, no gate.

Overnight parking, nice people and fast unloading. For those of you complaining about slow unloading. Stop being lazy and go back and help break down the pallets, you may just get out in less than two hours like I did.

Good place for supplies. Some prices arent the best, but overall good. Workers generally are helpful and know where everything is.

Good source of halaal meats, great assortment, just be prepared for inconsistent supply & long lines at times.

Restaurant Depot was better in the past. Sales staff are not friendly, and not helpful. Prices are steadily climbing. Stock options can be limited very frequently. Please get this place back to the way it used to be. As a restaurant owner traveling 30 minutes to shop and stock is unorganized and unpredictable is very frustrating.

Came here for just Turners tea but the shelves where empty. I looked around saw a pallet full. Went over to a guy who was working a fork lift he was busy nut he stopped what he was doing to pull it down for me. Put on a happy to do it for me face!! Thank you again
