After researching many companies in Pittsburgh, I decided on GI haul for 2 reasons. Pricing, and the fact that these were GI’s. Let me tell you, I am so pleased with these young men. There were a total of four. They were here from 9am to 6:45 pm. They did my attic, my basement, and what used to be my den, but was stacked with junk, floor to ceiling. It took me four trucks, prices are very reasonable . You pay per truck. They followed my directions, and even stopped to ask if they saw something they thought I might want but have overlooked( photos, mementos, etc.) These 4 men are very respectful, trustworthy, polite, and friendly. But it is their true nature, not a front that some business will put on. They worked very, very ,very hard! Jeremy, Terry, Lavon, and Justin, thank you so very much. You truly all are warrior angels.

Very professional and very polite. Could not have asked for a better crew to come and clean up and remove our old hot tub. I called on a Tuesday they came the following day and only took them 2 hours and cleaned up after themselves.

The two men who arrived at my residence were polite and went right to work. They cleaned all the items I piled up in the garage, patio and my shed. there was a lot of junk, trash and collectibles. They worked for 2 1/2 hrs. straight non stop until finished. They then swept off my patio and swept out the garage. Both men presented a professional appearance and not a word of complaint. Ive used GI Haul for small jobs in the past. I had a MAJOR cleanout of a large house with 30 years worth of items from Depression-era never throw it away people. They charged a lot of money to just haul away cardboard, a microwave, a vacuum and an old insta pot.. they were quick and able to come the day we called them which was great but honestly if my husband called me when he got the quote before saying yes I would have said no because it would have been cheaper to rent a dumpster.

Weve used GI Haul a few times. Theyre always responsive, respectful and very professional. They let us know when they were close to arriving, called when we got here and asked specifically what we wanted taken out. And before we knew it, they were done and gone! They take almost everything, so weve never had an issue where they couldnt take something we needed taken away. They dont overcharge and the company hires veterans to do the work, which we always support. The last time they came, we were getting rid of old TVs and a bunch of stuff that had just been cluttering up the house. We spent the weekend going through stuff and getting it in bags and they arrived Monday morning to take it away. They even took away a few boxes wed planned to put out Monday night for our trash removal service to take care of. I am very grateful that we have GI Haul in Pittsburgh!

I had G.I. Haul clear out my moms house recently. They were prompt, courteous, and worked their butts off. They were able to empty the entire house which was loaded with everything imaginable in about 4 hours with just three guys. They even finished the job by putting the last truck load out into the driveway so I wouldnt have to wait around for the final truck to arrive. They dont charge you for the extras like TVs and mattresses that the other companies in the area do. Also their trucks are a little larger so you are paying less per volume in the long run. This is the company to choose when you need hauling done in the Pittsburgh area. Dont waste your time shopping around. They are the best!

I elected to use G.I. Hauls service because I am a veteran. Those who are also, tend to have high expectations regarding that representation. Chad and his crew lived up to that standard. I had a few bulky and heavy items that had to be dealt with, and the team handled them well under Chads guidance. It reminded me of an old team leader/squad leader I had. They are knowledgable and hard working. If I need stuff removed in the future, Ill be calling them first.

Came to my house and removed a very heavy old treadmill that was on my 3rd floor as well as heavy couches from my basement. Estimated $175 with full description of the items to be hauled. On site they tried to charge us $450 with two items already at truck. Said that their estimate wasnt really an estimate, but a truck volume measure. In all, clear that they lowballed to get on siteI will continue to support veteran owned and employed businesses, and understand on-site variability. But being off by triple is unacceptable.

I have to say, Chad and Jason did an excellent job cleaning out my entire garage. They kept me posted on what was going on and their arrival time. When they arrived they were able to give a precise estimate for the job which was a great price compared to other companies. They even swept up when they were done. I would definitely recommend G.I. A friend of mine recommended G.I Haul after mentioning that I was looking for a company to haul away a mattress and boxspring. I called in to make an appointment, which was very easy and the woman was polite. On the day of my pick up, no-one had called 45 minutes prior as the woman said they would, so I called to make sure they were still coming. I was told they were running behind, but were on their way. 4 hours later I called back and when I told Mike that still nobody had arrived, he was shocked and more upset then I was. After looking up my contact info, he quickly found out their was an error in the scheduling and the dates got mixed up. He apologized and said it was the first time a situation like that occurred and I actually believe him. The company reviews are quite impressive and you could tell he cared about making the customer happy. He immediately scheduled a pick up for the next day at no charge. He even suggested I could leave out more than I had initially been priced for and they would comp that as well. As a small business owner myself, I appreciated the offer, but I would NEVER take advantage of another company, so I only left out what initially had been agreed upon. Im a firm believer that mistakes happen in business, especially as you continue to grow and its not the mistake that makes or breaks you, its what you do to make it right. G.I. Haul clearly cares about providing superior service and making the customer happy and for that I would without a doubt use them again and refer them to anyone who needs this service. They were great. The were quick to set up an appointment and gave me a quite before they started anything. They were super nice and even grabbed a few of the items the city garbage men left behind. I would highly recommend them.

They never showed up, two hours after the scheduled time I called to just ask to reschedule and they said they couldnt. Everytime I called it either went to a cell phone or business number. Then I was asked if I had a confirmation number and I said no they never gave me one. Not professional at all and I honestly cant tell if this is even a legit business or not. First time I called it was $125 when I called back and got the office they said its subject to change, the third time the guy didnt even know what I was talking about. Im just going to call got junk, at least I know they show up.

I used there services for the second time yesterday. They were wonderful! They are quick efficient and thorough. They remove difficult to dispose of items like computers, microwaves, air conditioners and old TV sets. They donate items that are useable, and unfailingly polite. This is a great company, and I will never use another.

I just used G.I. HAUL for a kitchen renovation. The contractor performing the work was going to charge an outrageous amount for disposal fees. Consequently, I contacted multiple junk removal companies to compare prices. G.I. HAUL was by far the lowest estimate, and they exceeded my expectations in every way. Their employees were professional, prompt and did a phenomenal job. Not only did they remove all of the appliances and cabinetry, but they also cleaned up small debris which I had not expected. My kitchen was broom swept when they left. I also had a few furniture items that I had been wanting removed for a long time, but I was unable to move them by myself. I asked them if they could also remove these items and they were more than willing. I appreciate companies that are willing to go above and beyond expectations to satisfy their customers, and G.I. We recently used G.I. Haul to remove furniture, bookcases, rugs, floor lamps, and other household items from a second-floor apartment on a busy street in Pittsburgh that has very limited parking. We were very pleased with G.I. Haul. They not only arrived on time, but called ahead to let us know where they were. A large and heavy L-shaped couch was difficult to take out, as it did not fit in either the service elevator or the main elevator. It had to be taken out through narrow hallways and a staircase leading out to the front of the building. This required multiple flipping and readjustments of the couch. Our team was professional and friendly, and worked nonstop. We were pleased to support a veteran-based company that donates items whenever possible. We highly recommend G.I. Haul.

I hired GI Haul to take away a couch, a love seat, queen mattress and box spring, a kitchen table, dresser and some other odds and ends. They showed up promptly and did a fantastic job. They removed all of the items from their original locations and had the truck packed and ready to go in just under an hour! Cannot recommend enough. Absolutely outstanding service. I had a large amount of junk in the basement of one of my rental properties from years and years (at least 15 by my count) of tenants leaving junk behind. Everything from couches to bags of clothes to old computers and vacuum cleaners, just tons of crap. I called around to almost every junk removal service I could find for quotes and GI Haul was by far the most affordable, and were able to schedule me sooner than anyone else I talked to. They came out to the house and took a look at the stuff to make sure the estimate was accurate and let me know how the whole process worked. The guys were all very friendly, they were all young guys in good shape and they were all veterans, so I knew I was in good hands from that point forward. They explained the process to me, went over the prices and where they thought the final price would end up (the final price is determined by how much room your stuff takes up in the truck, you dont pay for any room you dont use which I thought was really awesome) and then told me theyd be back in 2 days to do the actual removal. Two days later they were there right on time, and even called while they were on their way so I could be ready when they arrived. They showed up with two trucks and 4 guys and got to work and within 2 hours the basement was completely EMPTY. I never thought Id see the day my basement was empty, but these got it done crazy fast and even swept up after themselves. They showed me exactly how much room my stuff took up and went over everything with me so I knew I wasnt being swindled and told me that everything would be taken to their warehouse and sorted out to keep as much out of the landfill as possible. I really appreciated that little touch, as everything that was useful will be reused and go to someone who needs it and wont just get buried in a dump somewhere. I have requested a quote online per the website only to receive an email that asked if they could send someone over to give me a quote and I could approve on site. After emailing this company a second time to request a quote I have not received a reply. It is a shame I will need to reach out to another hauler for a quote as my husband I would like to support a local company that will value our time.

I called GI Haul to remove an old, leaky truck camper from my yard. I called two other places first and neither could figure out how to take it. The guys from GI Haul were far more resourceful. They literally cut it into small pieces and walked it to their truck to remove it. They were fast, scheduled around the weather like I requested, and were nice as could be. I highly recommend them.

GI Haul came out on a Saturday to clear out basement/attic/garage junk... lots of construction materials and lawn debris. I caught them on a difficult morning -- truck troubles, etc. -- but they were communicative and kind throughout the wait. When they arrived, they were super efficient and friendly, and took about an hour to do what would have taken me several hours and several trips to recycling centers & the dump. And for less than the cost of a dumpster rental. Id be happy to use them again!

GI Haul is terrific. The guys are hilarious and professional and showed up on time. They helped me get rid of a ton of my exs stuff (he was a bit of a hoarder) and we laughed our butts off all day while they did this. They were reasonable and professional and just an all-around great organization. And, every branch of the military (that day) except the Navy was present for my haul out. Go GI Haul!

These guys were awesome! When you really need something call out the Marine ( Army, Air Force, Navy too!).They came through for me when 1-800-haul-out didnt show up and didnt call me back.The GIs called when they said they would. Came early for the job. They were pleasant, professional and seriously hard workers.The job was on the 5th floor of an apartment building with a small elevator and no close place to park.Not an easy job. Their price was more than reasonable given the circumstances and time frame. Also a 10% discount for military which can make a huge difference.Highly recommend them. Thanks guys!
