Whats not to love! Great food and drinks, staff very accommodating and beautiful views. Patio is dog friendly. And there are umbrellas and heaters to keep you comfortable.

Bottomless champagne brunch was just $39 for a starter, main plate and dessert. What a deal! We sat overlooking the rugged coast and enjoyed our food. Not pictured was the seasonal orange and caramel bread pudding. It’s was so good that I didn’t even think to stop to photograph it!

Very Beautiful, clean and great customer service. They even have Happy Hour. You have to try the Truffle fries.

It was okay. I have to say the view was beautiful as it had an outside dining area overlooking the ocean; but, there were a few things that werent up to par for a restaurant in my opinion. Staff was friendly which is also a plus. Things that didnt meet expectations were the drinks, food, and service time. Our drinks took a long time to come out and we had to ask several waiters and waitresses for them. As I said staff was friendly so they did ask about our drinks but they just werent being sent out. Same thing with our food it was taking a long time after we ordered to bring the food out to the point that we had to ask a few times if they could check our order. When it did arrive I would say they food was okay. I had a lido club and my fiance had shrimp tacos. A bit over priced for the lack of quality but it is a restaurant with a nice view so Im trying to justify it. Overall its just okay. 3 stars because staff was friendly and we had a good view if not Id actually rate them a 2 due to service time of drinks and food, and food just being okay in comparison to its price. Will say definitely choose the sandwich over the tacos as they are better in taste and better portioned for the price you pay.

On our way to San Francisco we stopped over at this restaurant after reading the reviews for this area. I was able to get a seat outside where I could see the beach and the cliff. The service was very fast and quick. I enjoyed the shrimp tacos. The portion was of a good size and I think after enjoying this beautiful experience I might stop over again at this location if Im traveling in between Los Angeles and San Francisco.

We went there with a friend and just sat in the bar for drinks and appetizers. The food was good.The service was fantastic. Friendly accommodating.Prices were what youd expect from a nice hotel in Shell Beach in the summer.

We were really excited to try this place and had a reservation, but even with a reservation we still had to wait for our seats. Once we were seated, it took a while for the staff to get us boosters for our kids. Im not sure how they label tables for their staff but it didnt seem organized very well since we saw the staff with the boosters we were waiting for go outside and look confused, then eventually finding our table. Fifteen minutes had passed from when we were seated and we still didnt have anyone come take our order even though we told the staff who brought us the boosters we were ready to order. Our kids were hungry and getting impatient so we decided to leave. If we had to wait long to get an order in, we imagine it would take even longer to get the food. Granted our reservation was at a busy time, but still disappointing at the slow pace of service and what seemed like sufficient staff to serve. If it was just my husband and I, we would have waited a little longer, but with kids we didnt want to ruin other guests time there with our kids potentially screaming from being hangry. The view outside was okay since we were seated next to the window but you really have to walk out onto the path to see the full view of the cliffs. Also considering that SLO county issued required mask coverings indoor beginning of September, we were surprised to see staff not wearing masks. They did have crayons and paper for the kids. Maybe we just have to try out this place when its less busy, but we only give 1 star for the long wait time and not even getting to order.

Great and realistic menu! I had the acai bowl which was perfect. I also had gluten free toast which I was very impressed with the texture...no styrofoam textured gf bread here! The view is beautiful with pelicans flying over the water. This is one our favorite spots because the service, food and view make for a great dining experience. Yes please!

So disappointed. My husband and I made a reservation here weeks in advance. We got there a little early and got a drink at the bar. Service at the bar was 5 stars and the drinks were delicious, but unfortunately for us we were there for the restaurant. When we were seated at our table everything went downhill. We excitedly picked out our orders and waited for our waiter. 10 then 20 minutes went by. Our Reservation was at 7:30, by 8 we still had not been seen by a waiter though all the tables around us had. If youre under 45 and want a nice dinner maybe you should skip this place as theyll just ignore you here. Very disappointed and dissatisfied by this unprofessional experience.

Treated like royalty on our 20th anniversary. Filet mignon was superb, alcohol selection was on point, and the view of the sunset was incredible (they saved us the perfect table). I mentioned it was our anniversary and they brought out this unbelievable dessert. Best experience ever!!

We were a party of 6 ladies that came in for an early dinner. Some of us can be a handful but Lido was a great experience! We ordered all the following. A deliciousBerry Lemon drop.. Smooth, with a berry flavor, an excellent twist of the lemon drop.A glass of Rose, perfect for me! The Lido Burger, 16oz n.y. strip steak, a poivre, shrimp and lobster linguini, truffle fries, and Roasted herbed 1/2 chicken.The Lido Burger... cooked to medium. Came with butter lettuce, 3 strips of bacon, cheese, tomatoe, and a thousand island sauce? Cooked perfectly and the meat was so flavorful. The steak...Ordered to be cooked at medium, came out medium well. The waitreas kindly removed my plate and had it redone and packaged to go for me! The shrimp... al dented, shrimp is cooked well. A little bland in flavor. Two orders of truffle fries... cooked to perfection with the best aioli, moderate amount of garlic flavor, and grand padano! Crispy yet moist of a potatoe!!! I could eat them all day. Michele came out to apologize and stated that steak was cooked to correct temp. I asked for more of a pink medium as to the steak was more brown. She did remove it from the bill. Olive oil citrus cake is the best dessert I have EVER tasted! I cant rave about this cake enough! Came with smoked sea salt, candied orange, and a citrus anglaise. Absolutely the BOMB! The bourbon apple crisp was delicious as well. Salina, our waitress, did an amazing job! I absolutely loved her her patience with our group. She boosted my review to 5 stars. This is a restaurant to experince if you are local or passing through. Loved & Enjoyed it 100%.

Happy hour is the redeeming thing about Lido.Server Tim was engaging and energetic. Kitchen and bar couldnt seem to keep up.Food delivered cold and 30 minutes late. Super expensive for such a poor experience. Just expensive period.

Great outdoor dining area to watch the sunset. Good mixed drinks. However, Lido staff and linked Dolphin Bay Hotel staff do not wear masks for some reason like other area restaurants and hotels do currently, which was disappointing and disconcerting.

Very chill for a friday night. Friendly service. Appetizer, entree, dessert and cocktails delicious. Sat outside, when finished we walked down to the beach and watched sunset.Baked brie appetizer, pork chop entree, ribeye entre, 2 cocktails and 1 glass of wine, upside down cake dessert = $170+$28 tip, $10 valet tip.Overall an enjoyable experience.

I went here for my anniversary. The service and waiters are above average, the scenery and mood are great. The food is pleasing visually. I had an arugula salad that was excellent, and wife ordered desert which was great. The rib eye steak I ate was pleasing to the eye, color was fine, but the steak was not tender, and had no taste to it. For $47 for a steak I expected better. You may have better luck with seafood, my part had prawn salad, soup, and a burger which everyone said was great. My friend had a steak and agreed with me.Good luck and enjoy.

Service was impeccable. Food was delicious. Granddaughter got eggs benedict, she requested bacon to replace the canadian bacon which was no problem ($17.00). My brioche French toast with fresh berries ($16.00) was outstanding. A side of bacon was only $4.00 and was some of the best I have ever had.

Great scenery, and a wonderful dinner. Each dish was well crafted, fun, and they went the extra mile for a special anniversary celebration. Cant wait to return.

The ambience is refreshing. Outdoor dining is a must to take in and enjoy the views of the ocean and the feel the wind in your hair. I appreciated the drink selection and the bar tender was very knowledgeable and helped me pick out the right spirit.

Food is good, but be aware a 20% automatic gratuity will be added to your take out order. During covid, this seems to be a more common practice for our local eatery’s. We were not advised of this before placing and picking up our order, but we were refunded the amount when we commented on it. We do advocate tipping extra during this trying time and supporting our local restaurants.Try the ribs on the appetizer menu ... DELICIOUS!!

I love the ombiance at Lido at Dolphin Bay Resort! Everyone treats me with much respect and friendliness which is so welcoming and makes me feel very respected! It is so peaceful with ocean views and great place to meet with friends! One of my favorite places on the Central Coast! l dont eat sugar and l love their delicious decaf and tiny honey jar they give me with my cream! I am a local artist and potter as well as a Realtor. They were very kind to let me have an Art Party there (2 times) to show my newly created aqua media love heart originals and giclees on canvas as well as my unique multi glazed handbuilt platters and vases. It was in the news several places both times and a lot of fun..and a great turn out! Everyone was so kind and helpful to get my pieces set up! I love the way they make you feel the moment you step out of your car! Ive lived on the Central Coast for 38+ years! Nicolette Woltman

We failed to find any decent restaurant in Pismo beach downtown. This place ended our search.The food was great and so was the beautiful patio with a breathtaking ocean view. The cuisine is above average but not too fancy. The price was very appropriate for the quality of food we got. Staff was super friendly and professional without being too brittle. I will come again.

There was 7 people for a late lunch with reservations, service was slow for drinks appetizers and finally our food a 2 hour meal took nearly 4 hours. Regular customers but may not be back for sometime, very disappointed.3-28-21

We made reservations for small birthday celebration. Upon arrival our table was ready, seated us right away. Might I suggest sit outside weather permitting. Our view was amazing!! Food arrived in a timely manner, everything was excellent. Customer service was excellent.They even brought us out a little dessert for the birthday girl and sang happy birthday. Will definitely be back. This was during covid, Lido had absolutely beautiful out door seating. You forget your in the middle of a pandemic for a minute. Thank you Lido and staff for a great experience.

Not sure this unacceptable visit was due to it being MLK weekend. Sandwich was fabulous like always. We go there often. The alcoholic drinks are visibly smaller and smaller. The takeout line was very long on Sunday so I didnt make a fuss about the 22% AFTER tax gratuity that was added. According to the IRS, as a service charge it would be considered excessive. After tax and 22% is pushing the limit. We always choose to tip at least 20%. By choice, especially during this time of covid-19. So Im not sure it is because of the three-day weekend or that many people are not tipping. BTW, the two of us were sitting in their existing outside patio. NOT out around the pool. Robin called me about a week after she saw my post. truly concerned about their patrons.I was very impressed and delighted with how she chose to make things better for us in the future. It is too bad during these times that people who can afford to go out and eat have to be forced to pay a 20% tip. Thank you again Robin

Didnt see a single staff member wearing masks inside, and only a few guests. Clearly they are just blatantly defying the public health order. Would have just left if we werent eating outside. They dont deserve your money if the dont respect your health.

This review is specifically for the wine program at Lido, which is exceptional. It’s likely that the restaurant doesn’t know how good they have it with their Level 2 sommelier. Her talent definitely shines through, with lots of obscure, yet extraordinary wines at this otherwise traditional Central Coast restaurant. I’m quite confident ANY wine connoisseur would find something to their liking here...I wonder which Michelin Star restaurant will steal her...

This restaurant is absolutely phenomenal. We have visited the restaurant several times and it is always off the charts good. Nice atmosphere and the wait staff is always very friendly. Obviously the reason anybody goes to a restaurant is how good the food tastes though. The menu is very well laid-out and everything on it is absolutely delicious. This is definitely a hidden gem that most people maybe wouldnt think about being so good because it is attached to a hotel but it is truly a great find.

The customer service is great and the views are amazing on a clear hot sunny day. Good atmosphere and relaxing. The food is pricy but mediocre at most, nothing special but you pay for the ambiance when you come here. Dont expect high quality food

Fabulous time and Service!

During a long weekend stay at Dolphin Bay, we dropped into Lido for a few meals. The staff welcomed us warmly each and every time and provided exceptional service throughout our visits. We had a child, a pup and some picky eaters in our group and staff met every request with enthusiasm and attention to detail. Each of us in the group were always very happy with our selections. The French toast is a must for brunch. Great Bloody Marys and a good local beer selection as well. Well definitely be back on our next visit to Pismo. Also, the dog - friendly patio has an amazing view of the Pacific. Thanks for a great experience.

Went to lunch yesterday, 15 people were seated right next to us, 2 feet away please be careful when booking. Food and service very good but disappointed. Really scared that they had done that no other seats available

It should be rated less the 2 stars, but the views, atmosphere and waiter saved that place tonight. It was our anniversary and was hoping to give my wife the best romantic night tonight but was let down.

This place was really good. I got the Bone in Rib Eye and the Duck Confit Salad. Both were amazing. Very filling.

Good to find this lovely place having breakfast with the beautiful day. Relaxing under the sun with cup of coffee, nice view, and good food. Must try the potato with deep fired rosemary, so good!One star missing cause the warier missing something three times, maybe still early in the morning. So far I have a great time here.

We have vacationed at Dolphin Bay twice a year since it opened and we absolutely love it there. We always end our days at the Lido. Bar staff are exceptional, always make us feel comfortable. Entire staff at Lido are. Courteous, friendly, professional and accommodating. Food is amazing as every dish is seasoned perfectly. The presentation of each dish is extremely pleasing. Nothing lacks in the Lido. You will enjoy yourself .

We hosted a brunch for a friend here and the staff was wonderful. Big parties are annoying and can be frustrating but Lido handled our very large party in the most professional manner, they were flexible, courteous and left us to simply enjoy our day with our friend. I highly recommend.

I love the food, view, and service!!

Lovely view and landscaping. The food and service were only fair. Only one salad dressing was offered. I had to ask for refills and sugar for my tea. No dessert was offered and nobody checked on us until we had finished eating. I would have expected better service from such a high end setting.

The Lido established itself years ago as the finest dinning on the central coast. Excellent attention to detail, friendly staff, warm inviting atmosphere with live music on certain nights. Their tasting menu is A must for those craving a taste of excellence. With their trusted food and beverage manager Todd back at the helm, they continue to set the bar on the central coast.

The view is among the best along the coast, the service is usually proper, & the food is almost always decent. Dinner is quite pricey, but before 5PM, you can have yourself a good meal for less than a Kings Ransom. The weekday Break, Lunch, Brunch, & Bistro menus have gone up in price.As with most places around here, at least on the weekends, it is packed with tourists with quite a few not following the rules.Lido used to be far better years ago, but now is more geared toward the tourist crowds.

Ive only had coffee at the restaurant itself, though I know the food is very nice from ordering room service at the hotel on another occasion. The restaurant is a spacious, well decorated room with great views of the ocean and lots of light. We were treated to some very nice live music as we had our late afternoon coffee. Service was perfect.

It was the perfect day for lunch at Lido. Sunny and a perfect temp to sit outside on the patio. The view is breath taking and the menu is wonderful. A brunch option and an a la carte lunch menu with things like cold chopped lobster salad, a wonderful BLTTurkey club with excellent fries...or how about the stone fruit salad...everything was great and Dominic our server was wonderful!

Very pricey. I felt the Mothers day brunch was way over priced, and not being a seafood eater, the choices were very limited. But, to be fair the rest of the people in my party were very pleased and satisfied with everything.

Was recommended this location by a friend of mine and it was probably my favorite dining experience of this year.The location is absolutely gorgeous perched on a cliffside with incredible beach views. The restaurant is located near the Dolphin bay inns pool but once youre inside Lido you really forget that you are part of an inn in the first placeThe food was delicious and came out quickly, their wine and drink menu was extensive and impressive. The recommendations and pairings by the staff were exceptional.That brings me to how absolutely fantastic the service was by the ENTIRE STAFF. I think regardless of how great the food or general ambiance of a location is, bad service can ruin an experience but during my time at Lido we had a great waitress, some back of house members and other waiters also stopped by to make sure we were taken care of AND the manager also personally asked if we needed anything else.If youre looking for a great location for a date night, celebration, or whatever I cant recommend Lido enough. Of all the beach-view restaurants that lack in one way or another this one had the entire package.

Really good brunch food when we went there. The duck hash was very tasty!
