I havent utilized the facilities since the renovations but I did peek in and it looks nice. I dont remember seeing the 2 computers that used to be up front for client use and hope they still have them.I also hope and pray that accompanying the renovation was more useful resources and funding. It does a client no good to have a beautiful place to sit and chat for the day and still have no lease or key to turn, when they leave the facility.Years ago when I suddenly found myself homeless & learned about the center, the help given/available was scarce to NONE.I also wish they could implement some type of course or refresher course covering the basics in maintaining an apartment. Many of the people there and/or at Cass havent had stable housing in a while, some never had the responsibility of taking care of a household & some merely need reminding. This way they have a better chance of keeping their units & just as important, keeping them tidy.I know more than a couple of people that have been housed and lost it all due to not knowing how to budget, pay bills timely, get/keep gainful employment or the biggest no no of having their friends move in, thats not on the lease.God help us all in the fight to survive and thank you Lord for Your daily provision. πŸ™πŸΎπŸ™πŸ»

Justa Center is a place for homeless adults 55 years of age or older. And they help with all sorts of things. Like housing, State IDs,birth certificates, housing information, laundry, showers, charging your cell phone/portable chargers, speakers, tablets, laptops etc. Theres a smoking area. And lunch is usually a hot meal. Unless theres guest that bring and serve the food themselves. Staff is nice and helpful. And I feel at home and safe at Justa Center. Thanks staff kudos to you all.

This is a amazing place for seniors. Food. Books. People to help with your needs. And there are some people to meet and eat with. Without the drama of the younger people. They have helped me so much. And still do. Cant say enough about them

Oh man I love this place. Its designed to help people that are aged 55 and older. Great place. Coffee and Danish in the morning. They open at 7am. You can have your laundry done. Take a shower. Sit inside and charge your phone. Or play a game of cards. Get on the computer. Or organize your paid for locker. Lunch is at 11:00am but its only for homeless adults. So if you have a place to call home you wont get a lunch. Theres a housing specialist. They help you get your state ID. Your birth certificate. They can hook you up with a free lawyer. They have good boxes. Starter kits for when you get your apt. They have alot of meals catered donated. Its very comfortable. Kudos to the staff at Justa Center.

Sorry to contradict all these glowing reviews, but my husband and I were treated very rudely when we called Justa Center inquiring about services. Merrill, the gentleman who answered the phone, was extremely curt and wouldnt even listening to our concerns. It may well be that Justa couldnt help us, but that doesnt mean we deserved to be treated in such a callous and dismissive fashion.

Sorry folks this one gets a 1 star. Having gone there myself a man of 63, very poorly ran. When theres mattresses left out side without so much as a tarp one has to wonder. They become infested, and not fit for anyone. Yet they dole them out. Its supposed to be for ages 55 and up , yet younger people are allowed, unchecked. They do a vey poor job of actually getting people housing, and more often than not, want them to settle for the very worse. Dumping boxes of chips on the table, along with energy drinks , when may people there are dibedic. Yes folks, when gone unchecked too long good intentions mean very little.

Just Center is a place for homeless people age 50 and older to go for help. They provide assistance with updating resumes, they take donations of food and clothing, as well as furniture, kitchen gadgets (including plates, silverware, glasses, cleaning supplies, etc), linens, etc., and help find a place to live after the homeless find jobs. Sunrise United Methodist Church on 7th Ave and Utopia take the donations downtown. Just Center is on Jefferson and 10th Ave.
