Absolutely the worst therapist in the world. Talk about someone that doesn’t know anything about helping anyone. If you need help with something and are considering seeing this therapist I 100% recommend finding someone else. Absolutely no intelligence in trying to understand people.

It is astounding that there are any good reviews written. I urge you to seek help elsewhere with someone who is professional, knowledgable, and willing to help in a greater capacity.

Az center for change has great caring therapist and flexible treatment plans. After 3 years of different therapies I am hopeful this one will help my daughter find happiness in herself.

Amazing experience! Very thorough. Its important to understand that any client undergoing therapy has a right to privacy and if things are EVER not working out with ANY therapist, you have the right to request a new therapist in ANY office EVER.

It really is misleading to tell others (who may be seeking help from the center)that youve had a problem or negative experience there when you haven’t been there. There’s a likely reason that they aren’t contacting you back, such as: perhaps your son is client there& you are not, and through divorce/court order, they are not able to discuss anything with you. You should go through the court or your ex to be privy to anything regarding your son & his therapy. Which is absolutely the way it’s supposed to be. Imagine your deepest, darkest thoughts or behaviours being given out to someone who randomly called, left a msg regarding you & your info was shared>gasp< . I, for one, appreciate that the center respects my privacy. As a current client of the center, I cannot express to you how much I have learned in this past year hear. I’ve taken(and highly recommend)the DBT course, which was not difficult, but really gave me the tools I’ve needed to cope with emotions, problem solving, and managing my distress. Dealing with chaotic family members is SO much easier now, with a whole lot less reaction from me=no more emotionally charged interactions. If I had learned this earlier in life-I am positive that I would’ve saved myself years & years of problem relationships, chaos & self doubt. Then there’s the personal therapy & EMDR with said therapist.... Let me say that I’ve had many therapists over the last 25 yrs & never-ever have I experienced so much healing, or learned so much in just a year! It has been life changing, to say the least. I am finally making my way through the trauma, ptsd & the pain i’ve been holding in for over 40 yrs. Honestly, I don’t know where I would be,had I not been fortunate enough to receive their help. The process has been hard-at times-but really, no harder than it was not coping with it at all. I’ve cried a lot, but healthy, releasing tears.Honestly, I always leave feeling completely heard, supported & truly validated. Diane is amazing. The program she created, the work she does, helping others to help themselves is truly life changing for me. I am truly grateful & feel that this is the best way I can give thanks to the center-by giving my honest opinion/review of my own experience here so that others who are struggling with their traumatic experiences can get the supportive, compassionate help they deserve. 👍🏻 Thank you az center for change!

So I started treatment here under the impression that my copays were covered under a special program I have. I attended groups and individual sessions for 2 months. NOW they say I owe $350.00 because they bill as a HOSPITAL and NOT OUTPATIENT and the copays are ridiculous. The office is located in a 3 story business building. Hardly a hospital. What a waste of time. What a waste of money. Just a waste. Now I am not just still suicidal, but I have ANOTHER medical bill.

Diane has a huge amount of knowledge that brings some subjects to light. Her DBT group was awesome. I was supposed to do the group with someone else and I hated it. When Diane offered me the group I was resistant but am so thankful that i did. I now have a good set of coping skills that can help me in rough spots. And her Survivors group is the absolute best. There and be hang ups here and there but ultimately its all worth it. I dives deep into the abuse and then provides tools for making things much more manageable. I would do either group again.

This is my personal opinion. I have been going to Az center for change for a little while. It has been alright. The groups are way too big. The amount of money that the services cost is outrageous. The staff is not very friendly or helpful. For example, my therapist is very careless. I dont even feel comfortable telling them how I feel all they do is just sit there and not give any advice I will be looking for a better place where I can get actual help.

Ms Genco was supposed to do an evaluation for one of our foster kids. After a year of no return calls to us and multiple professionals involved, we have given up on her and moved on. No comment on her competency, but her professionalism in our case was nonexistent.

Overall very pleased and excited about starting DBT Skills group soon. Please read on!I had a little trouble getting the initial phone contact made when my referral was processed. What I learned is that if one feels dissatisfied about progress or service we have the choice to be as nicely proactive as possible, or to ask another trusted person like doctor or CM to reach out for you, as an advocate. We can all use a little help getting help from time to time, nothing wrong with that. That said, my 2+ hour intake was thorough, thoughtful, warmly professional and empathetic. The EMDR is on waitlist but they have other good things to be enrolled in while waiting. The building is very nice with parking underneath, on the busline too. I DID NOT like the restrooms being open to whomever might wander in while I in the stall, VERY unsafe feeling for me personally. Thus, I highly recommend if you are skitterish like me, hyper vigilant, etc. either ask a trusted someone to do lookout or go up to the McDs at 7th Ave and Camelback BEFORE you go to appointment.
