I have been loyal customer to AHS for yrs and paid prem each month. I have not had a cause to call for their services but now I do.On 28 Aug 2020 called to put in service order for refrig not cooling right. Sept 21 2020 AHS says part is no longer available and gave 2 options. First option is to have this part rebuilt and wait another 2-3 weeks to have it done. Second option take 617.00 cash out to put on new refrigerator.This stainless steel Samsung refrigerator w ice maker cost $2100.00 at Lowes and Home Depot.Neither of AHS options seem fair to the consumer.Unhappy customerLori Hein

Samsung dishwasherDo not ever purchase a Samsung dishwasher. They won’t fix it and it’s our fourth time having a repairman who doesn’t know how to fix anything come out. All they’ll do is send a company called service quick they don’t fix it right. And they won’t replace it even tho it’s not working. Even though it’s still under warranty. They are terrible to deal with. First the lady says they’d replace it after being put on hold for a long time says it can’t be replaced until a tech comes out and says it can’t be repaired: so they are liars! For the forth time having a repair man come out. It’s ridiculous. I haven’t had a dishwasher for over a month and tech can’t come out til the 15th which is 6 days from now. We paid over $999 for this linear dishwasher. Never again will I buy a Samsung product.

Affordable Windows + Exteriors (Gilbert, AZ)When our windows were delivered they were not what we had originally ordered with our salesman. Because of COVID we had to do a lot by scanning and emails. In that process, the obscure windows we had originally requested were not delivered since the back and forth with emails I did not catch the change to all clear. However, for a company that prides itself on customer satisfaction, they don’t even come close. I even had to go to our city hall and obtain the building permit—which was not credited to our account until I contacted the Affordable Windows office. I had paid half upfront to order the windows and the rest was due on the install date. However, since we did not receive what our original order had been with our sales rep (Rudy) I did not want to pay for something I had not ordered. Our original windows were obscure in the bath area so replacing them with the same would only make sense. The installers called the owner who in turn called me.Jeff, the owner, was such a bully over the phone I finally had to hang up. He called me a cheat, liar, an old man who didn’t have a memory any more, cursed multiple times (will not repeat what he said on internet), called me a loser, and many other derogatory names. He also denigrated our salesman saying Rudy was old and would not remember what he sold.Jeff (he owner) has no customer service qualities, and our salesman (Rudy) never called us back to apologize for the problem. You are probably better off with another company who sells the same brand.A few positive statements: the installers were courteous, clean, on time and fast. The windows are what we were told in terms of size and quality.

We used to use them for our business, but they never supported us to remove complwye lies in a couple reviews and we Paid them. Ridiculous waste of money, DO NOT RECCOMEND WASTING 50 A MONTH FOR NOTHING. It may have been relevant 20 years ago , but its dated and not needed at all.

I was driving behind a CEMEX cement truck in late October, 2020. It was kicking up large stones and one jumped up and fractured my windshield. I was advised to contact CEMEX customer service representative, Darlene Garcia. She was contacted in October, again in mid November and still has yet to respond to my claim. She does not return calls, does not respond via email and frankly does not do her job and represent her company well. I thought that this would of been addressed ASAP. I feel that they have no accountability as a hauler of large loads and the safety of the average consumer.Jorge

I recently had Valley Environmental Resources Inc install a water filtration system in our home. Our consult Joel was great at explaining how good our water could be. He even dusted my living room. The installation team was friendly and easy to talk to. They explained how everything works. The system comes with enough soaps for 6yrs. From start to finish this company was amazing. KALINS AUTO RV MARINE ATV REPAIRFORT MOHAVE ARIZONAIf I could a negative number I would.BE WISE AND READ MY EXPERIENCE AND DO NOT USE HIM.. He texted me back right away and was very polite,  and then he said he would be there first thing in the morning at 9 am, which became 10, then the belt had to come from Vegas so it would be 2 to 2:30, he finally showed up at 4:30. Had to go to Auto Zone to get a pulley,  he would be back in 45 minutes, he needed money for the part plus money for the belt already ordered, he returned in an hour and a half. We took the receipt for the part since he said it was a temporary fix and we might need another on our trip.. He said it would be done that night although it would be late. At 10 pm he said he needed a smaller pulley and would be back the next morning at 9. Then requested $160 cash for work done and the rest when completed. We reluctantly got it for him and had him sign a receipt. He promised he would not leave us strained. We told him we were limited on gas for the generator so please be there at 9. It was hot out. When he didnt show up in the morning after I waited until 9:30. I tried calling and texting,  many times, finally his son texted at 2 and said the pulley had to come from Vegas. He will be there at 4. Well guess what 4 came and went and he never came or called. I looked at the receipt for the pulley and to my surprise the belt and pulley were bought at 5:18 pm together it did not come from Vegas it was Needles,  this guy is a joke. Luckily we were stocked with food n water, but many people arent,  again be warned dont use him.

I have a horrible habit of expecting outstanding service, and I am often disappointed. In this case, as always, the BBB came through with incredible service from the cleanliness of the room that was ready for us, the equipment we used, Tierra who was eager to help with anything we needed and the other staff who found us the lunch ordering menu and gave us recommendations for who delivers how fast.BBB has always, and will always be a partner for us and it was so easy to book this we hope to be able to book more things with them.

We needed to replace our existing shower doors. After reading the reviews on an area box store we decided to go with a glass company. It was important to us that the business have a high BBB rating. We purchased new sliding shower doors from Olson Glass and Mirror. Their BBB rating is A+. The process was perfectly seamless from the custom measurements, recommendations, the ordering, to the great installation. The cost was very competitive. Needless to say, we were very pleased. Would highly recommend!

The BBB is like Yelp, theyll take money for a positive user experience and rating but wont keep the playing field fair to unpaid companies. They will leave an F on your Business profile for years with no verified reason and no bad reviews or complaints . The BBB is overrated and have no real power but only to display reviews no different than a blog. They are not a business authority whatsoever so only take their published opinion as a matter of here say and do your research on other platforms . F rating for the BBB southwest region . The Better Business Bureau Arizona responded to my request for accreditation information within one day! Richard C. was very professional and explained the accreditation process in great detail. I was concerned about giving my credit card information to him and he was very understanding. He gave me directions so I could check on the BBB website and see he was legitimate and he gave me his direct phone number so I could call him when I was ready to begin the process of accreditation. I did call and am now approved. I will call him if I have any further questions.

My air conditioner was not blowing cold air. I called our home warranty company Choice Home Warranty and they assigned our call to Just Better Air Conditioning & Heating. We had American Home Shield for 15 years prior to making the change to Choice Home Warranty. We had deplorable service with AHS and did not know what to expect from Choice Home Warranty.After setting up the call with Just Better Air the technician Fernando arrived on time the next day. He introduced himself and asked what the issue was with the air. He was very attentive and extremely polite, professional, and honestly wanted to know the issue and wanted to fix it.He worked on the air for a b it then came to the door and said he need to call the company to confirm that the part he needed was covered by our contract. It was indeed covered. He replaced the part and tested everything thoroughly to make sure it worked. We have not had any problems with our air since.I am 100% satisfied with the service that we received and the professionalism that Fernando displayed. He is a young man probably not long out of A/C school. He did not have the typical young person attitude of most people his age. It was very refreshing to has a person of his age group be so professional and courteous. My thanks to Fernando and the Just Better Air company.

I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau after my car was damaged at a local car wash. The manager was not helpful or sympathetic which further angered me. The BBB took quick action and got me the apology I was seeking plus some financial assistance for the car damages! I really appreciate the BBB for providing this service for customers! We recently purchased a Honda CR-V from Centennial Leasing & Sales and we worked with Tod Hale. We cant say enough about how well this all went. They are always quick to respond, and they always work to protect consumers from companies that would otherwise abuse their power.In a world where the little guy often feels overlooked, and powerless, the BBB gives us a voice to be heard. The AZ Better Business Bureau (AZ BBB) is an amazing facility with amazing professionals on staff. I have used it multiple times over the past year and the service is always stellar! It was a very simple and easy way to resolve a dispute with a company that was not listening to my concerns. I wrote up the issue, sent it to BBB and in a few weeks I received an email from the company stating that they had dropped their financial charges from my account and it was all cleared up. Thanks to the Better Business Bureau The CEO of Go Daddy called me regarding the premature deactivation of my domain name and two unauthorized charges made in addition to my original 2 year renewal payment. The CEO help me reactivate my domain and privacy registration. But since than my website email address do not work and Im reluctant to call Go Daddy customer service for help. I dont want to subject myself to their harsh treatment ever again if at all possible. Im still out of one of the two unauthorized payments, the CEO promised to refund and at this point Im still working on getting this issue completely resolved.Update. Both unauthorized payments have now been refunded. I really appreciate the help of the BBB and the CEO at GoDaddy. The free email address I had originally is still not working but Im working around that. I need to call customer service for help and Im reluctant to call due to my original experience. still healing.

I wrote a complain with the BBB regarding a mortgage lender Home Depot, I wrote the complain hoping to get some kind of support. My complain was transfer to San Diego where the corporate office is located, I find out is in Irvine California.Home Depot is doing business here in Arizona in Scottsdale to be exact, we as costumer should be protected here in Arizona not in another state, lenders I been coming in contact with have nothing nice to say about home depot they said they are know for taking money from customers like me. So how can they be members of the BBB, They took my money I was told it was just a deposit if they were not able to help us they will give that to us back. If you are a business I would steer clear from the BBB. They allow anyone to file a complaint even if they are past warranty on work you did do , and if the customer uses that last contract warranty in work you did you to complain about work you didn’t do. The ROC takes the contract and examines the customer complaint to make sure it’s legit and if it isn’t they reject them. HomeAdvisor takes the contract and examines it if the customer is not telling the truth HomeAdvisor tosses the bogus complaint. The BBB practically extorts you by saying if you don’t resolve the matter they will post it publicly , even if you didn’t do the work and it was way past the time frame of a warranty on the word you did. I wouldn’t waste any money on them.

The better business bureau is a tool for business owners to overwhelmingly resolve business disputes in favor of the business. They attempt to strong arm the customer into accepting a resolution. If you do not agree they take it too a panel of professionals in the industry of the type of complaint you file. In my case a car mechanic replaced the wrong parts on my car. The so called professionals are in the same business as the business you are complaining about. In other words they are friends and colleagues of the business you have a beef with. At no time will you be in contact with an actual consumer advocate. There will also be no consumer advocate or anybody looking out for YOU on the panel or available to say that something is wrong with a complaint or the process thats reviewed a complaint. When the panel votes in favor of the business its counted as a dispute ended in the businesses favor. Here is the really messed up part. When you look at a businesses BBB score you see that they have a good score close to 100%. That score doesnt tell you how many complaints were made about a business or the nature of those complaints. You cant see what other people say about the complaint or how they feel about the resolution. For the customer there is no recourse for a business ripping you off. Just be careful where you spend your money and be careful who you complain to.

Lincoln Air (Phoenix, AZ)My wife and I own a first floor condo with a very noisy air conditioner. Problem is due to lack of attic space for the air handler (unit is located in hallway ceiling directly above your head as you walk through). I had 6-7 contractors over to suggest ways to quiet it (it cools fine) but no one offered any possibility of significant sound reduction though all were more than ready to sell me an entirely new system. Bob, at Lincoln Air, looked at the situation and decided to relocate the return vent and insulate the existing air handler. He thought outside the box, charged much less than any others, and it worked better than I could have expected. The man who did the work (Ricky) was thoughtful/professional and the sales rep (Dylan) was always available and followed up with everything. A well run company!!! Ill never use any other from here on out!

They always close early. They never let me speak to a supervisor. They ignore important issues regarding my claim until the deadline then fail to assist me in submission of my claim. Ive been asking for a supervisor to speak with for three weeks. I was told since June that I didnt have enough evidence. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was refused. Then after asking to submit my claim for 3 months and being told no based on evidence Im told I have until February 19th to complete it. I try to complete it today at lunch and the dates BBB provided were wrong and needed updated IMMEDIATELY right then 20 minutes before my deadline and Im supposed to return to work in 10 minutes. They always bug me at work because they are never open. Karina was the worst. Neither her or Michelle will let me converse with their supervisors and then they tell their supervisors everything is going great. What a joke.

The BBB helped me with an issue I had with a flooring company I recently used for one of my rental properties. I contacted the BBB where a representative was able to help me work thru the issue with the flooring guys. My floors are now finished and look amazing.

Very disappointed with the better business bureau dealt with a company who is accredited and stiffed me for thousands of dollars based on they just didnt want to pay. I filed a complaint with the BBB and they said that thats Outside of what they handle and if the BBB can hold their accredited business is accountable for screwing people out of money who will? Two thumbs down over here

We had a general liability Insurance with Scottsdale Insurance/Nationwide of which we paid dearly. They did an audit and we had to pay an additional 62K. We were making payments on this money and one month fell short, we had paid over 32000.00 on the policy. When we tried to make the payment the next month they refused it saying that we had been turned over to collections. When the collection company (McCarthy, Burgess and Wolf)called us, the told us that we owed 40,047.XX. Mr. Jennings stated that he would offer us a 30% discount if we paid it then. This would mean that he would accept just a litte over 28K. I tried to explain to him that the numbers did not add up, we even had a three way conference call with our agent and him and our agent told him that we only owed 32K. Mr. Jennings would not budge and Scottsdale Insurance Company would not return calls. Mr. Jennings continued to pursue us for the 40+K. With the help of our agent, we finally got a hold of Scottsdale Insurance and explained the situation, they sent a notice to Mr. Jennings stating that all we owed was the 32K. At this point in time, Mr. Jennings would not honor the 30% discount. He was rude and very unprofessional and was still stating that originally Scottsdale insurance wanted the 40K. It was very unprofessional of the Insurance Company to have erred the much to begin with and had they provided the correct information to begin with we would not have had these issues with the Collection agency. I would highly suggest that NO BUSINESS be done with this agency unless you dont mind being cheated out of approx 8K. I dont even want to give them the one star as they are the last company on the planet that we would ever do business with again, but had to in order to post this.

I had a problem with a U-Haul storage facility. There was significant damage to my property and I contacted them repeatedly requesting a refund but I did not get any response from them until I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Your office was a such a great help in facilitating communication between me and the regional vice-president of the company. When I filed the complaint with the BBB I got a very prompt response from your office. After the regional vice-president of U-Haul received the notification that I filed a complaint with BBB Arizona his office contacted me and we were able to reach an agreement. I got a refund for the some of the storage rental fees I had paid. Thank you so much for all of your help!

I have a contract with Orangutan A.C. and I’m so disgusted with them, it’s ridiculous. I’ve been with them for years and was satisfied, but they came out this past Dec. and told me my heat pump needed replacing. Because of our previous relationship, I thought I could trust them. Well, needless to say, they’ve been a real let down. I’ve had them out five times in the past 2 1/2 months…four times in the past three weeks. My heat pump was kicking on heat instead of cooling and their techs all said it was the thermostat, but I had a brand-new Nest they’d installed in Dec. with the heat pump. Anyway, they told me a lot of gobbledygook about it and reset it and it happened again. Then again, so they pulled out the thermostat and put in a Honeywell, swearing that that would fix the problem. Since the Honeywell came in, they’ve been out twice more and it’s still kicking on and blowing hot air any darn time it pleases. I’m absolutely disgusted with Orangutan and would only refer my worst enemies to them.

BBB should not be trusted as they protect their paid clients. They suggest they are a nonprofit, as if this means they do not make money. As a non profit owner myself, we indeed to make money, but do not take a profit. Each staff is indeed paid, up to their CEO, bonuses and commissions are still legally recieved. This is okay, however, as we have left complaints about situations dealing with various vendors, the BBB says because we havent actually paid these vendors, and are only leaving a review of our experience before paying, e.g. sales scams, and continued sales calls, all asking us to pay for services we have never heard of, and getting hung up on once we try to get further information. As far as I am concerned, consumers should be aware that these companies who are rated A+ by the BBB who are lying to the BBB, they dont work with individuals, and as far as the BBB is concerned, they regurgitate the lies and ignored our complaints because we did not fall for the A+ companies sales scams and refused to pay.

Our rep, Katie Schaab, has always been available to answer any questions on our membership or accommodate any changes we need to make to our profile page. The BBB is very responsive when you file a complaint. The only problem I had with BBB is not enough time to respond back to their emails. I work late and by the time I get home it is time to get ready for the next day and I dont always look at my emails. Otherwise, I refer everyone I know to the BBB website and I am glad they post your comments or complaints so everyone can see the type of customer service business provide. My representative was very good. Thank you

Each time the BBB has reached a positive resolution with the other party and me. I feel certain that without the assistance from the BBB I would not have reached a resolution quickly or equitably.

They are a great asset to any business and will always listen to the second side of a story before posting a negative complaint as opposed to Yelp which dose not care about hearing your side of the story which as most people understand will always contradict their negative reviews.
