To start...I do not write reviews unless a business goes above and beyond my expectations. Virginia Auto continues to do that. In summary, two events standout that went above and beyond. 1) My youngest son has a 10 yr old Ford that needed a part to pass his emissions test. Ford does not make the specific part after a car is 10 years old to my understanding. After a couple of months searching myself to no avail, I handed it to Matt and Tim at Virginia Auto. They were finally able to obtain the part after months of follow up. 2) My car had to be towed last week. I was convinced to tow it to a nearby auto repair shop who proceeded to tell me the repairs were $3,800 and growing. I panicked, had it towed to Virginia Auto, who inspected it, and fixed it well below what was quoted to me by the first shop and for what was actually wrong with the car. I want to personally thank Matt, Tim and Robert for always giving me good advice, but more importantly, I want to thank those guys in the back who I never see but take such good care of my car. Thank you all! You are the best! Take your vehicles here, you will not regret it . They are straight shooters.

Pulled in to Virginia Auto since my car was powering down. knew it was an electrical problem, but wasn’t exactly sure what it was. they did an electrical test and called me the same day. turns out it was the alternator. i had my car fixed and back to me in less than 24 hours. very satisfied with my experience.

Needed an honest, fair assessment of my transmission for an older classic car. Many shops would rather sell you a replacement than actually suggest a repair that may bring in quite a bit less than the first option. These guys were honest and the repair suggested was a fraction of replacement. Thats why you go to a shop like this. The work was done well, quickly and communication was top notch. Worst most dishonest mechanics I’ve ever dealt with. We were told it would be fixed for $3,500. We told them to take their time and make sure we were 100% 2 weeks later I was driving home with my 1 yr old in August and was stranded on the side of the Black Canyon city mountain. Towed it back $5,500 they really “fixed” it. Driving back home to Prescott and once again was on the side of the road. Sold my suv for parts. They should never been recommend by Rosie on the house!

I had recently bought a new car and took it to Virginia Auto and from the time I walked in the door, Robert and the guys were honest, professional, and prompt with running a bumper to bumper check on my vehicle. They corrected a diagnosis of a bad alternator and made sure that I understood what they were doing to my vehicle and what they found. I feel that my voice mattered as a customer despite my lack of knowledge, and I left with a greater knowledge of my vehicle and how it functions and why certain things happen. I believe that these guys have always been honest with me. All staff have been great to deal with. Repairs have always been done on time or before expected.

They did a full inspection on my 2016 Acura. They found some of the same filters that the dealership told me to change. So I really appreciate that. However, they quoted me a price for something L. I checked around and found it for half the price.. So, in that regard I was a little disappointed

Ive always wanted to try this place out after frequently listening to their Saturday morning talk show, but it is a drive for me. Im glad I tried them out. The experience and care is exactly what Ive been looking for. I just purchased my vehicle. I had my A/C recharged and inspection completed. When I picked up my truck, the A/C controller was dead. Right away the owner, Matt, came out with a tester to troubleshoot. It turns out the problem may be an existing electrical issue. Now that is a shop I will drive an extra 20 miles for! Thanks to Tim, Robert, Steve and Matt who all are very knowledgeable and friendly. See you again soon!

My girlfriend lost the keys to her car.and they came and picked the car up at our apt.complex the next morning and had 2 keys made,reprogrammed the car to the keys and done by 11:00 am.very happy with the service and would recommend anyone to take there car there. My car wouldn’t start and I had to have it towed in, they were able to diagnose the problem, fix it, and even take care of another issue I wasn’t aware of but would have caused issues very soon.Through the entire experience they were upfront on pricing, and had an entire inspection report complete with photos so I could make sure they work they were recommending was really needed. Communication was constant and really appreciated.After I got my car back performance was significantly better and I could not be happier.

Inquired about an oil change and 5 point inspection, and he said $60 dollars for an oil change, even if I bring my own parts, and $59 for an “inspection”. I would like the owner to explain on here why an oil change is more than an “inspection” (labor costs) Also, I asked for a quote on a “five point inspection”, what is the difference between your “inspection” and a “five point inspection”?

Its always a little nerve-wracking taking your car to a new mechanic, but the folks at Virginia Auto Service are great! Their whole operation runs like a well-oiled machine (pun intended), and they are very clear in their communications with the customer. I knew what was being done, when it was starting and when it was over. Im also a big fan of the report they sent by email and text that detailed their check of all of the different systems. I love these guys! I am so glad I found a place where I feel that my vehicle will be taken care of. I know that if something needs done they will let me know and provide a reasonable estimate. They check it over even when I just get an oil change and wash the outside for me and help me keep my car in great shape. If you need to leave your car there for awhile or cant have someone pick you up they provide a ride or even a temporary car if able for longer work repairs. I definitely would recommend this business for all your vehicle needs.

They are knowledgeable and always tell you up front what the costs will be. Go by on a Friday and they may even provide you some BBQ. Very nice team to deal with over the years.

I had a fantastic experience here. The staff was very friendly and the owner, Matt, was able to complete the work I needed for less than the original quote. The work done certainly seems to be high quality and I even received a follow up from the owner a couple days later to make sure I was satisfied. My girlfriend and I were having oil consumption issues with our 2014 Audi Q5. We originally took the Audi to Audi north Scottsdale. They told us that the pistons needed to be replaced (approximately 8k) and then proceeded to push the great idea (for them) of buying a vehicle from them. We then wanted a second opinion of what really needed to be replaced and for how much. We took the vehicle to Virginia auto service and quickly discovered that the level of service, communication, and trust is of the highest standard. They worked with us on pricing, they worked around our schedule, and most importantly they did not stop looking for solutions until the issue was resolved. Long story short the oil consumption issue was fixed, without the pistons being unnecessarily replaced, for a very small fraction of what Audi north Scottsdale quoted us. We will recommend Virginia auto service to everyone we know and we will bring every vehicle that we own to them. A huge thank you to Tim, Matt and everyone at Virginia auto service!

A young man I care about ended up pretty much stranded here in a broken down car with no money and nowhere to go. The staff was so kind, they allowed him to stay in his car in the lot overnight and one of the guys even brought him breakfast in the morning.

I did not have a regular shop, so I decided to try Virginia Auto Service. My 2012 Toyota Camry has just over 50K miles, and I thought it might be time for a brake inspection, and a coolant hose check. I did a night drop, and was contacted the next morning by 11:00 am letting me know there was NOTHING wrong with my car. In fact, I was told the hoses were still soft, and the brakes were showing over 50% life left. I received a thorough report, and felt I got a complete check for the money; they even washed the car. Im happy with the whole experience, and Naj in the office was very professional. Ill definitely be back.

I have been taking my car to Virginia Auto since I bought it in 2013, and had been bringing my previous vehicle in for years prior. Always excellent service. They let you know what needs to be worked on/addressed without shoving it down your throat.There have been several occasions when I have dropped my car off before they opened (on my way to work) and they have always been easy to communicate with throughout the day. Well, I have a little 2001 Ford Taurus. My lovely silver grandma car is fantastic for the 100-200 miles I drive per month. And now, my little car has a great shop looking after her.I took my car in as it was time for an oil change and I was convinced my serpentine belt was about to go. It had that tell-tale burning smell which was making me nervous. Turns out I had a loose oil-filter from my last oil change and dripping oil + catalytic converter = my car is about to die smell.Virginia Auto Service changed my oil and cleaned up my engine. It was so nice to receive a call from them saying my belt was fine and an oil change was all I needed. It was refreshing to be given an honest assessment vs being told some great story about some random repair that was needed...I am a female after all and have received some rather odd diagnoses in the past (your rotors fell off, so youll need to have them replaced for example).It is very reassuring to know I now have an honest, kind and reliable repair shop for my car. Did my oil change run a bit more than some $19.99 special? Yes, but it was so worth it! Now my little one wont be getting an oil change for another year most likely, but my service advisor, Robert, asked me to please stop by every three months so they could check out my belts, tire pressure, etc just to be safe. Now THAT is service!-yes, this is the same review I placed on yelp

I went to this establishment because this is where my Uncle brings all of his cars I did not really want to bring it to them because they always overcharge him and endlist to say they did the same thing to me!! I brought my vehicle there to run or supposably they ran a diagnostic they told me that my car was shutting off because my factory alarm !! So I paid them for the diagnostic which I believe was too high and prices well I soon as I got home which was 45 minutes from their establishment my car was still doing the same thing I called them to let them know that they had not solved the issue and that I would be bringing it back to them and about an hour because as how long it took my car to cool off and then restart I then brought it back to them and when a meeting the mechanic I let them know that I believed it was the neutral control safety switch which I had told them before A-day had passed and they called me to let me know that indeed it was the neutral control safety switch that have been melted and they needed to replace that along with the pig Tales. When they had called my Uncle and gave him the price he said go ahead and do it upon picking up my vehicle I paid almost $1200 for them to only price gouge me on the Parts Plus their labor is higher than any other mechanics around I would not recommend this place because I basically diagnosed my own car for them they never did it A diagnostic on it and they never applied the diagnostic to the cost of the 1200 because I left their establishment and then had to come back and still after I came back they still never ran a diagnostic I know that 100% because I have a sync in my car and it lets me know when its been unplugged which they never did Im plug it in order to put the diagnostic machine fed up with them would never go back there again I am a single mom of 6 and I guess they believe because my Uncle was Paying for the repairs They Could charge whatever the hell they wanted!!!!

I took my car in for transmission and headlight replacement thats it! $5k plus later they said I needed my a.c. compressor replaced. My cars a.c. was working perfect when I took my car in. They wanted another$2k plus to replace my compressor!! Took my car to another shop and they found my system had been flooded with oil and the compressor did not need replacing. Paid $400 for repairs with them and a.c. is working great. These guys are ripping people off. Please get a second opinion. Will never go there again!!

Pascal has been a huge help to my family whether it was to have a vehicle serviced, to identify a repair that I could do on my own or just to ask advice on the purchase of a used vehicle. Every time I have needed to drop off a vehicle there has been a complimentary loaner offered, or a bike to use or just a ride to and from work. Their inspections are detailed, include pictures of area of concern and there is never pressure to have them do the suggested repairs, just advice and options.
