When the pandemic hit, our previous working space was not able to accommodate us remotely. Finding Rec Philly has been a dream. From the meeting spaces, the free rental equip, to the dope staff, Rec has been super supportive through our transition and growth!

REC Philly... where should I begin?Ive known of REC Philly for a few years now through a few different avenues. Their growth alone in this short span (although the workload for them Im sure doesnt seem so short) is truly impeccable. The space they have created for creatives to create, connect, engage and become equipped is beautiful. And then now to have this 10,000 square foot space in a newly renovated mall in the center of Philadelphia is mind blowing. *tips hatIf youve been to anything REC related, the staff is always energetic and excited to see you. Its like Chick Fil A meets your favorite cousins interaction when they see you at a family function. You just get hype and feel so loved and are so excited to reflect on whats passed, live in the moment and still dream about the future. This is just due to their staff. They are very informed and hip to whats going on and how to get you on your journey to the next level, no matter your level. That part is important.This isnt a space for some top tier level creative. Its for every person, in every field, in every phase of your journey as a creative. Their facility is beautiful. Its laced with an awesome storefront carrying products from everyday people like you and I (so go buy) and giving them the opportunity to sell in a mall. The amount of people who will see their products alone is tremendous for any creative. You can also grab some coffee and a healthy, yet still tasty snack. (We know sometimes healthy and tasty dont always collide, but here it does.) Once you pass through those doors, to step into the heaven for creatives, this is where the magic happens. A space filled with rooms that can change your life, and at the very least inspire and motivate you to get off your butt and into your passions. The space is beautiful and fully equipped making it a dream for anyone looking to do anything. I can go on, but just come check it out.Lastly, Ive never met any of the REC members that didnt want to collaborate. You know how rare that is? Excuse me, let me correct myself - you know how rare that was? REC has created a space where the thing you need is connected to a relationship and that person is here.Anyway, thats all.I lied, congrats to Will, to Dave, and to the entire staff at REC. Youre all amazing.

This is a great place for creative minds to gather. Great rates for the rooms and staff is very friendly and open-minded. The hours are open as long as the fashion district is open. And despite the fact that they got shut down for a few months when they first opened up last September because of covet, theyre making a pretty great comeback.

Best place to be! Everyone in the environment is working to perfect their craft, so to be around that and have everyone grinding is pretty cool. Tons of opportunities, and resources through REC to help you reach your short and long term goals as a creative. The new location in the Fashion District is truly amazing. The staff and members in the space are always nice and welcoming. You can walk in not knowing anyone, and leave with at least 5 new connections. Becoming a member back in October might have been one of the best decisions of my life.

As a new member, I can say that I already have a sense of accomplishment just in learning of the founders vision of enhancing the lives of creators. Will Toms is inspirational and down to earth. Scarlet ,Director of Member Success, keeps us in the flow. The staff welcomes all walks of life with a smile.Highly recommended for anyone wanting to learn, network and more importantly get to know yourself better. Im looking forward to reaching my goals with this team.

I have been a REC Philly member for about a year now and Ive really appreciate what the space has done for me as an artist. Its been great for meeting other people that are doing all sorts of cool stuff, the value for what you get is a real bargain too. Ive made use of the recording studio too even though Im an illustrator and its really helped with my promotion as an artist. REC has given me the community and the resources I needed to make an art a business of mine not just a hobby. Best of all I feel less alone.

Amazing experience. Definitely gave me a ton of inspiration to put my talents in motion. Welcoming group of individuals of all walks of life, that has given a space for artist like myself to build on their talents. I am so happy I found REC Philly! Ive been looking for a recording studio to use in Philadelphia for some time now, but everything I found was either very expensive or very inconveniently located. Rec Philly is right in Center City and honors the budget of the independent artist. On top of that, the vibe is very chill, the open co-working space is a great place to write, and the workshops have been inspiring! Im thrilled to be a member since day 1 of this new space! Highly recommend.

REC Philly is a Creatives paradise. Every resource we could need, is found here from physical things to information and workshops that help further advance our craft. The staff is amazing and passionate about what they do, and there are so many opportunities for the creative community here.

This is my third time in the space and I have to say, it is very peaceful here. I came in and got a tasty chai tea in the front, I was greeted by Scarlet at the front desk. The space is nice and Im looking forward to coming up here more often.

Incredible space for creators. Members receive benefits, workshops, and access to equipment that would normally be very expensive to rent/buy. They have the only independently operated Live Nation stage in Philly, and the co-working space alone is worth the membership.

I heard about REC Philly from an uber driver and just decided I’s go check it out cause it sounded cool. It turns out to be one of the best organizations I’ve been a part of. There are so many resources for every type of creator here and a great environment. They plan weekly and monthly events, are communicative, organized and responsive. They create a productive, and welcoming community. I wish I knew about them sooner.

REC Philly is an amazing collaborative community and space for creatives. It is a wonderful and economically feasible resource. I took a tour and was impressed by the equipment and space available. There are alot of spaces for music production, podcasting, and digital editing and community space. There is one movement studio and one visual arts studio. I saw a lot of textiles on sale in the retail space but did not see alot of rooms/equipment for creating these items, so that was confusing. As a person more interested in movement work with clients and textile creation I couldnt see myself there personally, but wish I could, if that makes sense.

Ive heard about REC Philly for years now. Ive been working at a recording studio for the past couple of years and clients would always bring it up I just had to check it out. I have to say that Im super impressed with what this organization brings to the table. I seem to find value in Rec Philly around every corner. Whether it be the facilities, networking, or curriculum, Rec philly has helped this disorganized, lost artist organize their goals and vision to accomplish everything they want with their passion of music! You cant do this alone and literally all you have to do is show up. Literally. I rolled out of bed and showed up and they helped me develop an awesome career plan and three professional headshots. If youre serious about your craft and live in philly or even just the east coast I strongly suggest joining!

Got invited to record guitars there for someone I met at a show. Came out and met some wonderful people like will, Tim, and scarlet, AKA the goddess of RECphilly. Before even being a member, they always treated me with respect and praised my skills as a creator along with giving me advise (as much as they could without helping me just like they would if I paid for a membership) for building my own brand. They have lots of recognition for their brand of recourses and It shows with a couple awards won already. Since I’ve been introduced, I met so many people who can help me achieve my visions. Since being a member, I’ve been able to start working with those people to actually make those visions a reality. They’ve started from the floor up, and inspire everyone to never quit and always think smart about their creative decisions. From the showcases, to the creative summits, their music business events, to the financial advisors they can recommend, etc. REC Philly is the definition of making a vision come to fruition. They did It for themselves so they can help people like me. If you’re a creator, you want to be here. They already announced bigger spaces and more advanced tools to help their members. So don’t miss out.

Photography studio was dirty, there are random nails sticking out of the wall along with exposed wires and plenty of other unsafe ailments. I worked there as a model and the staff were very unprofessional. During our session people walked in on us without knocking which is highly inappropriate considering that there are no convienient places for wardrobe change within the studio. The studio itself could use a lot of work and I would not personally recommend it to Any other models/photographers in the industry. if you are a photographer or model looking to book this studio, STAY AWAY.

Rec Philly is falsely advertised. Signing up for a membership is a scam, you get no direct support as they promised, and the studios are always being over booked. If you complain about the service, they are rude and unprofessional.
