My morning was great as I did Yoga/Pilates and Silver Sneakers Strength classes. Kristi always starts her classes with a positive affirmation. I had a good 2 hour workout. Her Silver Sneakers class has become so popular it had to be moved from Studio 2 to the gym to accommodate so many members. Kristi DeJareld is such an asset to our YMCA!

Longtime member at other Chicagoland YMCAs before joining this one 2 months ago. This one has spacious facilities, a great pool, an indoor track, and plenty of equipment. It is never crowded in the mornings and have not run into cleanliness issues. Sure, it is not as fancy as some private gyms, but it is a great option. The rates seem fair to me and I am glad to support an organization that does not turn people away for their inability to pay.

What a great facility inside and out! Sitting on 57 acres, hiking trails, largest pool outside of Cook County, new equipment, and extremely knowledgeable and courteous staff! Very competitive membership rates!

I love working here! The staff are so friendly and welcoming ever since I have started here. We have updated our YMCA app, we are back to normal facility hours since the covid shutdown, we keep things tidy and clean, group exercise classes are in-person and available to members on our virtual Y website, we run spirit/mind/body transformational challenges 3x a year and we would love to have you as a member! Come stop by for a tour! We are running a promotion all year (2021), your first month is only $20.21!

This place feels like home. So many great people doing all they can to offer an enjoyable experience during the pandemic. Everything is spotless and its great to have an indoor track and basketball courts. Their virtual classes are great too!

This Y is incredibly unorganized and I would not recommend membership to anyone. It seems like the staff don’t know much about what’s going on and I blame upper management for that. It seems like programs aren’t promoted well and are basically just for show. There’s some sketchy stuff going on here. The work out area isn’t even up to the standards of a community college. Save yourself the effort and just go to Planet fitness or something.

How is this place is still running? I have no idea. They don’t offer much, and what they do offer I could get from a number of other, cheaper places.

Stagnant, unorganized, and not worth the money! Worst Y I’ve experienced in a long time. Those in charge should really reevaluate how things are ran.

Not like most other YMCAs I’ve been to. And that is not a compliment.

Without fail, I always am treated well at the Peoria Y. The staff at the front desk is ready with a “good morning.” The wellness staff recently gave a tour and primer on using the new fitness equipment. And the group fitness instructors are the friendliness, most encouraging bunch there is. Add to the personnel a nice indoor and outdoor workout facility and you have a great place to get and stay fit.

Every time I go there I check there site it says open when I pull up there closed so I’m done with this place

Derrick Coburn is an excellent worker & person. Derrick is very knowledgeable, intelligent, informative, kind & gets work done that needs to be done..

Special feature of this y is an outdoor pool thats large enough for 2 diving boards, a baby pool, and lane lines with an hourly 10 minute adult swim. This is a great plus to our y.

I love all of the group fitness classes to choose from and that there is child care while I work out. Fantastic for a busy mom!

Great facility with lots of windows in the fitness center.

Staff is rude, they also do not show any concern about complaints about the equipment not working properly. A whole row of treadmills had something wrong with them, and I complained for a month with little care about getting it done until it was regarded a safety issue. Would never go back.

I am a member at the YMCA in Peoria,I adore the staff they our so friendly,and kind to me every time I am there,I do not appreciate how the staff is being viewed As rude,every time I had a problem they helped me out.
