Great location to get a work out in! Very close to 65 and easy to get to in traffic. The facility is always clean and neat. The staff are nice and attentive both the clients and the facility. The pools are well taken care of and the environment is very casual.

You should ask your children what songs theyre learning. For example, look up the words to the song Hey Julie. Unbelievable! And then, even better, ask them what movies/tv programs theyre letting the campers watch. It will probably explain why your child is having nightmares.

We had a excellent experience this morning. My family and I checked in and was welcomed with so much warmth. Her name was Jennifer. We took a guest and she expedited the process so very quickly and furthermore directed me to the lost and found as my little one had lost goggles. Kudos to excellent customer service. THANK you Jennifer!!

Its filthy more times a week that not. The bathroom shower heads are so covered and filthy. I stayed with this YMCA for 2 years and can not take it anymore. The staff was always nice but for what we pay here the facility is awfully kept. Im done. At Lifetime. Since the other YMCA are not linked Ill go to each one and review. Also whirlpool was never never kept well. Always down for maintenance and the Jets still dont work. I can not anymore.

Staff is pretty friendly. Gym is in good condition, but one of the main reasons I signed up was to be able to shoot basketball. Not to mention, every time I have been they have had Children on each side of the gym. Which means i have no room to play. Even when it is sunny outside! Ridiculous! Waste of money.

Walk in and the guy at the desk PULLS DOWN his mask and tells me I have to wear a mask. Lady sitting right next to him at the front desk is eating her lunch obviously not wearing a mask. Not a single person in the weight room is wearing a mask yet he won’t let me in cause I’m not wearing a mask. Having areas in a building where you have to wear a mask but other areas in the same building that you do not is like having a peeing section in a pool.

The Pelham YMCA is the Best YMCA in the state of Alabama. All of the staff is super friendly and caring. Very helpful and just all around great people that run the fine facility that is the PELHAM YMCA. The aquatics department though deserves the most praise for keeping the pools clean as well as making the swimmers experince more enjoyable. One particular lifeguard makes me smile every time I go to swim my laps. He jokes with me and writes daily trivia questions on the whiteboard. Hes the one with long hair. He is a boy. Just all around the Pelham YMCA is an amazing place to be and the aquatics department is outstanding. Who ever is the aquatics director is there is doing such a great job as well as the coordinators. God Bless The Pelham YMCA.:)

Tired of being sick and tired? Trying to lose some extra weight? Want to meet some new people?Get your butt in gear and try the Pelham YMCA, located on Hwy 31 across from Pelham Eye Care. Two outdoor pools (one baby pool and the other for laps and general kid swim / play time) are the first things you will notice. Lifeguards are diligent and tend to be older students (college age). Children must pass a swim competency test to swim in certain areas. Theres an indoor pool for sun shy folks, along with a hot tub for post workout relaxation. Its not unusual to see firemen and women building a heat tolerance in the dry sauna; the wet sauna helps clear my asthmatic lungs.Group exercise is a big thing here...lots of classes. In Pound (tm), youll use modified drum sticks to workout to the beat of the pre-approved music. Yoga is tough but relaxing and Pilates is taught by a 69 year old former dancer who is an excellent instructor and has the abs of someone in her twenties. She is reshaping my life, literally! The cardio and weight rooms are pretty complete. The only thing I could ask for is a Reformer machine, but only the Greystone YMCA has those. The staff is courteous and caring. They ifoft have special health promotions and give aways.A great value for such a small monthly investment.
