MJ has been my personal trainer for some years now. She is very sensitive to working with seniors, which is a big help for me. I have increased strength and given up sugar! MJ is extremely supportive and has a terrific sense of humor. I highly recommend her.
MJ was recommended to me by my physician as I was progressing in my weight loss program and needed to set my sights on building muscle. I have been so pleased with my experience in twice weekly private personal training sessions. MJ varies the routine each session so that all muscle groups are engaged and she seems to know just how much is able to be tolerated in order to maximize the workout. Her studio facility is easy to find with parking provided and, at the end of each session, as she is also certified in massage, we finish with a mini-massage--cant be beat!!
I have been coming to MJ and this studio for years and its because she is the best! I love the small group training - every day is different which makes the workouts fun. Ive been able to lose weight, build muscle, improve my balance, and make friends. The staff is very welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. MJ has cured me of many chronic aches and pains. I would recommend this place to people of all levels of fitness!
I took MJs 28 day No Sugar Challenge. Im now just finishing the 28 days; and besides losing 10 lbs., Im feeling more fit than I have in over 10 years. Her fitness classes are small and I get personal attention -- and its lots of fun too. Good people; excellent trainers; I highly recommend MJ!
I love the personal service from MJ! Whether training from through private training or through group training you get the attention you need to improve your body. MJ knows how to work your body and strengthen your weaknesses I know from experience that I have made strides in strengthening my lower back and knees. She also has a way to relieve the knots you have in your muscles. I have ways to help relieve my aching heels. You will get top notch service.

It works, she works! I am skiing again! Go to MJ:)MJ Velasco happily adapts small-group or personal training ( as I found previously).This time, after a serious knee injury and some hospital-based PT that got me upright, I returned to MJ with the goal of returning to light snow-skiing.Slowly, she got me working 2 or 3 times a week with warmups, strengthening, balance, emphasis on core / thighs/ buttocks to hold up weak knees. She increased the regimen as I was able, but on a day when I’d walked too much or tweaked the knee, she adjusted. Who knew I had “piriformis muscle” issue, but ok that blasted “foam rolling” helps.Bottom line: With consistency (me) and cheerful adaptability (her), I am experiencing a careful return to the slopes despite injury and aging body. MJ and office manager/scheduler Denise run a friendly, professional, encouraging- but- insistent program that truly makes a difference.
What can I say...I LOVE GET FIT BY MJ...she gears the workout...to your level...and she will even help...with meal planning...she is my go to...fitness guru...join a group program...or one on one...shes got you covered...
