She also has a really bad record of showing up for brides on there wedding day! She did not show up on my best friends wedding day because her CAT WAS SICK AND SHE WOKE UP LATE!! ANI DID NOT SHOW UP TO MY BRIDAL APPOINTMENT! PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS WOMAN! Please be aware! I would hate for the same thing to happen to you. I booked and paid $500 months in advance for my bridal makeup through her scheduling website. She never responded to any of my emails so that made me so nervous that I literally had a nightmare that she did not show up to my appointment and unfortunately it came true. The morning of my wedding I had to drive to her in Pasadena, I wasted 2 hours of my time driving there and back for her not to be there!When I arrived I met another bride named Angela who was crying her eyes out because she did not show up to her 7am appointment, my appointment was at 8 am. My heart dropped to my stomach! This moment was the worst feeling in the world! I started crying myself because this was my big day! The day you’ve worked so hard for and planned so much for it to just come crashing down! This is unacceptable! I tried calling and texting and emailing with no response! Angela and I exchanged numbers because she stated she was going to sue her and we also found out she did not show up for her 9am and 10am bride! THAT’S FOUR BRIDES IN ONE DAY! I ended up having to get a last minute makeup artists who completely over charged me because she took advance of the situation and I hated my makeup on my wedding day! I DO NOT WISH THIS ON ANYONE! Which is why I am writing this review to make everyone aware!The worst part is that she really does not care, there are so many reviews of her not showing up! She ended up calling me around noon and she sounded like she just woke up! Asking if I already got someone else to do my makeup (the nerve of her) & I said yes of course this is my wedding day I had to find a solution I couldn’t wait around for you! I don’t think she’s ever been married or had a wedding so she does not understand the importance of your wedding day.PLEASE DO NOT BOOK THIS WOMAN TO DO YOUR MAKEUP ON YOUR BIG DAY! That is the worst thing you can do to someone on their wedding day! When we arrived there was another bride parked in front crying her eyes out because she did not show up for her appointment either! She made them pay $500 in advance & to the average person that is a huge amount of money for makeup for the artist to not show up! You guys this kind of nightmare is the last thing you should be dealing with on your special day! She has done this to many brides! On my sisters wedding day alone she did not show up for 4 brides that had already paid in full!!

I did the 3 day course about 2 months ago. It pains me to say this because Ani is an amazing makeup artist, but teaching wise was the biggest waste of my time. The course is extremely expensive, and ultimately I wasted 2,500 dollars. Dont waste your money, the course you could easily find on YouTube for free. There is absolutely no teaching of technique. Literally nothing. The class everyday is her demoing a look on a model for 20 minutes then telling her students to go copy the look. When shes done the demo she goes outside and smokes. She has assistant that come around and check your work and if its not right they just do it for you. The products she gives in the beauty kits are from downtown and the 2 colors of foundation she gave us was so cheap I have a permanent scar from a huge cyst I got on my face from using the product. There is absolutely no education in makeup hygiene, skin tone and undertones, prepping and priming, eyebrows (which we were only given one color for eyebrows) and basically everything else. We were given one primer that is water based and didnt work on half the people I practiced god knows what on. I spoke to a friend of mine who taught at Michael Vincent academy and another makeup artist in my area and they were both dumbfounded to the point they told me to report her to the board. You cannot charge that much money let alone not teach anything. This course is a scam. I wasted 2500 I dont have, and now have to start all over again to learn EVERYTHING because I learned nothing. Its a shame i dont have the funds and really was hopeful in this place but I learned my lesson. I learned more in a 2 hour class my friend graciously gave me for free then i did in 36 hours. I learned about face shapes and eye shapes and different primers to use for different kinds of skin. Please save your money and go somewhere else. This is simply watching a demo and then practicing it on someone having no idea what youre doing. If I could get my money back I would because Im truly devastated.
