The in-town truck rental was an amazing experience. Pricing was reasonable and the staff at the North Palm Beach facility couldnt make it any easier to rent and return. I will definitely be telling everyone how great it was and I will be back!

Initially, the staff at this location were VERY nice, especially Ms. Teresa. She was very personable and kind to me when helping me with my reservation when I arrived (3/5/2021). Her personality shifted after I expressed how unhappy I was about some mistakes that were made by her coworker. I didnt get the older gentlemans name, but hes in charge of assessing the trucks to make sure they are in good condition. Sadly, he didnt fulfill his duties, and hes the one whos response for creating these mistakes. Mistake #1: The gentleman didnt make sure the truck was cleaned well. Mistake #2: The gentleman didnt take off a lock that was on the truck. I understand that we all make mistakes because were human and nobody is perfect, but this is unacceptable.These mistakes led to my moving process being longer than I had anticipated, and it made things very inconvenient for me. I had to clean and wipe down the truck myself with disinfecting wipes (provided by Ms. Teresa). COVID-19 is running rampant, so my expectations for the level of cleanliness was extremely high! The trucks stirring wheel, seats, and the door handles were filthy/disgusting. I packed/boxed my things ALL DAY Friday (3/5/2021), but I made time to pick up the Uhaul truck at 1:07pm that same day. I attempted to load my things on the truck the next morning around 8:00am (3/6/2021), but I couldnt because there was a lock on the truck that I wasnt aware of. I attempted calling their location constantly between 8:05am-9:30am (3/5/2021), but they NEVER answered their phones. All of their calls were forwarded to customer support/call center. Because they werent answering their phones, I had to inconveniently drive all the way back to their location to inform them of their mistakes/errors. Ms. Teresa kindly said that I could just return the truck on Sunday (3/7/2021), but she gave the excuse that they were busy with customers as the reason why calls were forwarded (1hr 25mins).I appreciated Ms. Teresa taking responsibility for the mistakes made by her coworker, but I didnt appreciate her passive aggressiveness directed towards me when I asked her if I should be held responsible for the cost of gas associated with the inconvenient trip back to the store because of the lock that was on the truck. She ended up charging me for all the miles traveled, including the inconvenient trip, and she charged me for one day. I appreciated her giving me an extra day, but that wasnt a favor it was a correction. She treated me like the extra day was her way of doing me a favor. No, thats fixing mistakes. Those mistakes also included miles that was associated with an inconvenient trip. The Gentleman in charge of checking trucks showed frustration when I was trying to communicate my concerns, and said to me, She already gave you an extra day, youre trying to get another discount. What I didnt say to him, that I shouldve said was, If you wouldve done your job in the spirit of excellence from the start, we wouldnt have to deal with any of this. He made it seem like my concerns werent valid or worthy of consideration.I was only asking them to take FULL responsibility for their mistakes. I wouldnt care if the mistake cost $1, if its a mistake I didnt create, I WILL NOT PAY FOR IT.The staff need more training on high-quality customer service, empathy, listening, patience and emotional intelligence. They shouldnt be so defensive when customers are holding them accountable and asking questions. Ive worked in customer service industries on the management level, and I understand its not an easy job. From my experiences in this field, Ive learned that you have to treat EVERY customer with respect and show them that their concerns matter. Dont treat them like theyre a burden or an inconvenience to you. If a customer asks a million questions, they should get answers without unwelcoming behavior.The staff is a reflection of the management/leadership, and if this behavior is allowed and continues, gaining and maintaining loyal customers will be challenging.

I was nearly done completing the paperwork to rent a truck. Another representative interrupted the gentleman I was working with and asked him to cancel the request. She said she didnt want to send the truck on a one way trip.It was late in the day and I was now in a bad position. I asked for help locating another truck in the area available for my request and she outright said NO! Youre completely capable of locating one yourself. Call the 1800 number! Then she went back to playing on her phone. Absolutely terrible service.

Though it is advertised to be open until 8, no where does it mention the propane filling closes at 7:30. So the people that work there don’t all know how to fill propane tanks, and with one person that does know how, the store is not smart enough to schedule them until close. Drove all the way there for nothing since I got there at 7:32.But was told if it helps we open at 7am. How the hell does that help!

We reserved a 20 ft truck weeks ago. Got our confirmation email. Called before we went to pick it up and were told it was ready and we could come an hour early. Get there, no truck. We wait around for 20 mins, still no truck. They come out to break the news. The truck shows up in their system, but its no where on their lot. They finally locate said truck....in Virginia. We needed to load and leave w in 48 hours. They had a truck due in at 7 pm. This is when my new friend Teresa starts to work her magic. She calls the gentleman that has the truck to see if he can return it sooner explaining that we have a long trip ahead of us. Hes unfortunately not able to bring it sooner. They promise us that they will have it ready by 0830 the next morning and give us a huge discount. Were upset, but accept that and we leave to go start preparing. An hour later we get a call from Teresa saying she was able to go pick up the truck and they had it at the lot cleaning it and we could come back in 20 mins to get it!! We get there. Truck is ready and still get the enormous discount! The staff was awesome. All of them!! Teresa was amazing! She was so professional, considerate, and went way above and beyond!! Thank you Teresa!!! And thank you to all of the staff at this location!! You are all doing a great job! We were not the only ones in there having issues that day and all of the customers were taken care of in a respectful and helpful way. It was awesome to watch!

Very disappointed! Called first to check if I could get a propane tank filled. Biked five miles to be told that tank had to be strapped to something to be filled? We had a 10 pound aluminium tank that is only a couple years old. No real explanation of strapped. Wont use U-haul in the future and dont recommend them.

Local phone doesnt answer. Its routed to the home office. I leave a message with the home office for a callback and it doesnt happen - no callbacks. Home office takes way too long for a live rep to come on the line.

I haven’t rented a U-Haul in years and I didn’t know what to expect but as soon as we walked in Chris made everything simple and easy. He explained everything down to the T and we were able to make the choice of our vehicle within seconds. Thanks to his fantastic customer service and knowledge my wife and I are very happy with our visit and because of Chris we will be back when we need a rental van or truck.Thanks U-Haul and a big shout out to Chris.

I ordered boxes on line expecting them to be ready . I was an hour late . The you g man was too busy with clients . But I am a client l one customer 2 people . Ire paid . Them he points to the wall and tells me to go puck them out . I asked where the rods are . No signs he points . Lazy POD . He didn’t like a customer telling him what to do refused to help . Will never go back .It’s sad As this was my go to place .

Best U-Haul hands down.We have been to this location about half a dozen times. Excellent customer service, easy check out and check in. Have been to many U-Hauls in many parts of the country and their is no comparison. If you need a U- Haul and this location is even some what near you, do yourself a favor and save yourself the time and the stress that you typically will experience renting a truck or trailer at another location.

Had several propane tanks filled, but they refused to fill my Viking composite tank. They have a printout taped to their pump showing that tanks from the Lite Cylinder Company have been recalled. This recall has nothing to do with the tank I have and no amount of conversation would convince them otherwise.

Dont waste your time or money here! I rented a cargo van for 5:30 am on a Sunday. The online reservation said I would be able to use my mobile device to check in and get my vehicle. After checking in and paying I could not find the keys and the store does not open until 9am. After calling the 800 number, I find out that the location is supposed to have someone on premises 24/7 to give out keys for online rentals, which they do not. On top of that, the representative says the manager of the store told her he is on vacation and it will most likely be 2 hours for an employee to get there. Even the phone represenative couldnt believe the manager suggested a customer wait 2 hours in a cargo van at 6am!

Was hesitant to go to this location after the negative reviews but after seeing that a recommended palm beach location was closed I decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised with the quick service and friendly staff. Your mileage may vary, but my experience was all positive

I had them install a hitch receiver in my new Kia Sorento. They were very friendly, professional, and pleasant to talk to. Timothy, the manager, installed the hitch. He was very thorough and understanding about the car being brand new. Sharmelle and Teresa were also very helpful and friendly. I would recommend them if you are needing a hitch installed. They are much cheaper than the dealer and faster.

This location sucks. They do not have nearly enough parking to support the volume of business they’re doing, and they literally could not care any less. The owner of that uhaul location was there, and when his associate asked him if he had any suggestions about where we should park he said “nope”. How convenient that I pay per mile with the uhaul and now I have to go out of my calculated path and drive more miles JUST to be able to park my car to be able to use your truck. OF COURSE you don’t care that I have no where to park. They could’ve offered me 2 free miles for the inconvenience and told me to park off site with some suggestions. It’s a silly $5 BUT it would’ve showed that they actually cared about their customers. They have 20+ trucks and maybe 8 spaces... poor planning on their part and they don’t care that they created a problem for their customers. I will literally never rent from this uhaul ever again only because of this.

Scheduled appointment for hitch install… Called twice to verify the time for 7 AM. Get there at 7 only to be told that they do not do hitch installs on a Tuesday but the guy is coming in so come back at 12. Go back at 12 and I wait till 1215… I wait till 1230... nobody seemed to know when the guy was coming in or where he was or what was going on. The people there are nice but the way that they conduct business with telling me to come back or hold on were trying to find out or even the fact that they had me come back twice is completely unprofessional.I got a refund and will not ever be going back to that store or probably any other Uhaul store because from what Ive heard from this location… The way things are run are all done by corporate… So both corporate and the store suck!!!!

Daniel and Robert (Bob) give a horrendous customer service experience. When I called to make a payment on my mothers belongings (as I am out of state helping her relocate to Florida from California), they answered the phone and proceeded to have a background conversation and kept me on speakerphone while continuing their conversation. Rather than politely transfer me to someone who couldve offered assistance he left me on speaker phone while he continued chatting with coworkers. I doubt anyone else would want to voluntarily give their debit card information as well as other sensitive information on their account over speaker phone when making a large payment. At that time Daniel offered to let me speak with a manager, but because I continued to express my dissatisfaction with my experience and how the account was being processed and I was being given conflicting information, when I asked to be transferred to a manger on duty he proceeded to tell me I wont be able to do that. You can speak with uhaul shipping. Im not sure what type of employee customer service training theyve been taught but Ive never experienced this horrid level of customer service from any other uhaul in multiple states. Overall those two gentleman are extremely unprofessional and incapable of resolving a minor customer complaint that couldve been easily resolved with an apology for the lack of professionalism. I am a nurse and took a brief break to call and make a simple payment and was rudely made to wait for them to continue in their background conversations and have me on speaker so I had to listen to it all. If he was tied up with finishing another request I wouldnt have minded being placed on hold as that is what most establishments do. This is basic customer service so it really makes absolutely no sense.

Sunday was EXTREMELY busy. There was one rep for the first 15 mins after they opened but he was moving very quickly. The customers may have been upset but I could tell he was working his behind off to keep the line moving while still greeting each customer with a smile. The other rep showed up only about 15 minutes late but I was still VERY impressed with how quickly everything moved. The equipment was well maintained and I had a very good experience to include the movers you can hire from the U-haul website. The only thing you need to be warned of is the tight squeeze in the entrance. It is a very high traffic area and might be difficult to navigate at a busier time.

They forgot to put a dolley I paid for in the back of my rental, so I had to drive back again towing a 12 trailer to pick it up. Entrance is extremely tight and was blocked so I had to sit for 7 minutes with the trailer 3/4 in the lane of a busy road with 45 mph limit at close to rush hour. This endangered me and my property, and no one at U-Haul was trying to solve the situation. I dont recommend this location based on the problematic entrance access and on the basis that they forgot to load equipment that was paid for. Fortunately I do not live to far away, as I would have been even more upset if I had drove a long distance before discovering the issue.The trailer was also in poor condition with only half the lights in the rear actually working, though the brakes and running lights did. I realise later that we also never did a running light inspection after hooking up, just the blinkers and brake lights.I would not recommend this location, and maybe this is also an endemic U-Haul problem with equipment inspection and carelessness.

This store is amazing, they worked with me for over 1 hour and a half to get me a truck then turned around was able to get me another truck to handle all of my needs the same day. The check in took less than 10min and I was out the door I would highly recommend!!!

I would rate this 0 stars if I could. Employees were almost no help. I had to spend about an hour on the phone trying to sort out my issue, and ended up having to hook up my trailer again myself to take it to another uhaul another 30 minutes away to drop off the trailer. The price was good for the equipment but terrible for the service and everything else. I will go to penske next time, or anywhere else.

Hand down the WORST U haul dealer around. DO NOT go here. I made a reservation, confirmed it, and arrived that day for the manager to tell me that this location did not have that service. After that, they charged me for 14 rolls of tape and would not refund my money or even call me back. HORRIBLE CUSTOM SERVICE and QUESTIONABLE business practices.

Worst experience Ive had from a uhaul in years. Went to pick up already payed for equipment and was denied service. I dont now if Alex Sanchez, the manager knows anything about customer service. I tried calling ahead several times for two days to make sure everything was ready for move day. No one in the office ever answered or called me back. When I arrived to find that the equipment not ready to go the manager responds with a snide excuse that I should have called earlier.

This was an experienced like non other, the manager alex sanchez, actually started yelling at me when I questioned him and then refused to give me service and accused me of trespassing and had me leave. As I was leaving more then 3 of his employees ganged up on us yelling and actually calling me names telling us to get off the property befor the equipment was even removed from my truck. I felt like the one younger employee might actually attempt to attack me because we were not moving fast enough. I have no idea how they could justify treating a customer this way, just unacceptable.
