This place is the best of the best! They have so many resources for those in need. There’s a great variety of foods and products. There’s also plenty of resources to assist you in finding shelter and the steps needed to find a fulfilling career. Keep up the great work ladies and gentlemen! And a big thank you to those who contribute to this place in many different ways!

Changed me And my families lives. And so quickly it still blows my mind. Ive been homeless with my husband and children since June 2019. Ive been to alot of agencies looking for one chance. Everyone shut us down at the door. Journeys opened the door to us. And are still working with us to make sure we keep our home by helping us with agencies to help us with employment and money management etc. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

This place is amazing and has helped so many people in need. I wish more of these places existed and they got paid more for they charitable, life-improving work.(Except John. You know why. That was completely unfair and you made me cry before I even got to talk to anyone. I needed help and you made me feel HOPELESS at The Hope Center. Please be nicer next time. Dont judge me by others actions. I came there for help and instead I felt like you kicked me when I was already down.)(Nicole, I owe you more than I could ever repay. And not for the services I came for, but for listening with amazing patience. Turns out I needed that more than anything else.Thank you for just caring. I cant express to you my gratitude nor the importance of such a seemingly simple act. Thank you.)

The donations team is excellent and thankful. The room was full today and everyone seemed to be getting along. It’s too bad the facility is t bigger. They are providing a valuable community service.

I would have given 5 stars 6 years ago but and because of an incident with a staff member was completley rude for no reasson to me i would give rhwm one star however I know alot of the services they provide they even helped me wheb i was homless struggling and hungry I also know some of the older counselors who would never have treated anyone in such a manner or with such disrespect. So today I and my giving 3 stars. They Andre Andre great place to go if you need a meal or to get your mail or to take a shower maybe get some nice clothes and shoes warm socks maybe a bicycle or sleeping bag or an awesome bed roll made out of recycled bags so your not sleeping on a hard cold surface and something that keep you warm. They even will help bus people now to local shelters or PADS sites in the area. They can even help you find housing and offer counseling services for those who just need to talk to keep them looking forward or just to talk to on a hard day. They send you with a nice lunch after giving you breakfast and sending you on your way after receiving services. You can come here everyday even do laundry. Its very helpful to all of the homless or struggling people in the northwest suburbs.

Very sad. People forgotten and living like animals with case managers who make assumtions about their clients without even knowing them. And men bullying people. Whats that saying give a man a fish he eats once teach him to fish he has food for a lifetime. Stop analysing and start solving the problem Case managers!!! My case manager was sure to tell me how I was the most condesending person he has ever met. And I must be mentally ILL. Hows that for dragging someone thru the mudd while there down. And the day I recieve my Homeless card I get it taken away saying I didnt follow the rules. How sad a society we have become.

This place is a complete time waster!!Me & my spouse have no prior drug or alcohol use what so ever.We are both college graduates that worked are whole life.We got evicted last may 2016 with no car to get around.Employment was lost due to company cut backs.Only help we received was some clothing and meals no other help at all.We cant even get to pads sites cause they are to far by walking and if we did it would be nearly impossible to get or mantain employment with all that walking....They need to re-structure the program as of transportation to pads for clients who dont have cars & place to stay. They need to help with some type of temporary housing stationed in one area so a client can actually get and keep a job.It is turning cold fast and we are both at Wits end!!I notice they have big banquet charity dinners to raise money and charge $150 to $1500 per ticket to attend so i am trying to figure out where all this money raised is going. The food & clothing they give is donated by local restaurants & ppl for free.So i am figuring someone or many have there hands in the pot.The pads sites are churches & supposedly the ppl that work there are volunteers that are doing it not for money but for the sake of humanity really so no over head there.Plastic mattress and small toiletry kit provided at the pads sites do not match the revenue they raise.Just some knowledge for thought here.Hope they realize, they would think the same if they actually had to go thru hardship like this some day.

I would give them zero stars if I could. I recently was laid off and evicted from my apartment. With no family and nowhere to go I looked up shelters. I was able to stay at their des plaines pad site for a night and received a temporary pass. I was told that I need to go to the hope center to get a permanant pass. At that time I got a new job. And was able to stay at a friends til I got on my feet. My friends plans changed because a problem with her ex and I was out on the street again. I work full time from 10-6pm in des plaines. I couldnt make it over to palatine to the hope center because of my work hours. I stayed up all night for two nights in a row at dunkin donuts because I had nowhere else to go. Sleep deprived and getting sick I called them today to see if I could get into the des plaines shelter for the night and they denied me. Said I shouldve made it over to the hope center. I told them my dilema but the lady did not care at all. ZERO compassion. Very rude about it. Its now the coldest weekend weve had this year and Im left wandering the streets. Havent slept, sick and freezing and I still have to work in this condition.Im a working person trying to get back on my feet. I pay my taxes and contribute to society. They couldnt shelter me for a night on the coldest day of the year?? Im sorry Im not free loading alcoholic bum who has all the time in the world to get over to the hope center and get a pass for the night. Really disgusts me, I will never ask for help again from anyone. All the work Ive done, all the taxes Ive paid and I cant get sheltered for a night. Makes me sick. Im shivering in a cold parking garage writing this review. Probably will pass out from exaustion and wake up with hypothermia. THANK TO THE NO HOPE CENTER in Palatine, IL.
