I had a Brazilian bikini wax 1 week ago before going on a beach vacation. Super disappointed with the outcome, I’ve already had to shave twice. Definitely not worth $65... I’ve had previous bikini waxes and haven’t shaved for at least 3 weeks. I will not be a returning customer.In response to the owners comment... Ashley Davis is my married name. I am so glad I chose this place for my first wax! Christina took care of me and did such a great job making me feel comfortable and talking me through everything. Kristen, at the front desk, was so so sweet and helpful! Thanks so much to those two ladies!

First time experience and it was delightful. I was a little apprehensive and didnt really know what to expect as this was my first wax experience. The ambiance was good. The location is in a good spot. however my GPS dropped me off before I actually made it to my destination. The lady who greeted me at the front desk was really nice. I had to fill out some information but was met promptly by the Antinique that was performing my wax. Antinique was a breath of fresh air and my the experience a relaxing one. If you want to experience a wonderful ambiance and calming atmosphere you should definitely schedule your next wax here.

Christina was wonderful and made everything comfortable! First time being waxed and she explained what she was doing step by step, gave me detailed instructions for after care and got me set up for my next appointment. She was relaxing and informative and will no doubt return :) If you think this is a pain free experience, youre incorrect BUT they make it comfortable, bearable and its worth it!

My appointment happened to fall on a very snowy Saturday. I was also in a rush to catch a flight later that day, so I was more than happy when they called to ask if i’d like to come in earlier! Even though it is a 45 minute drive for me to come to Waxing The City, I absolutely love this establishment. The atmosphere is so welcoming. My cerologist, Desiree is excellent. She is knowledgeable, efficient, & her personality is so beautiful. My last visit I was offered information about the Black Book. Mind you, I always knew about the Black Book but I felt it wasnt for me since unfortunately my hair doesnt grow as fast as it use to & I only have to come every three months. The receptionist explained to me an option that would work for me even though I come every three months. Plus, I save money on my visits! I will be signing up on my next visit. Who doesnt want to save money?! The cleanliness, the welcoming atmosphere, & the knowledgeable staff are exceptional. My only regret is that I didnt find this place sooner when they first opened.

I loved my experience here. They were very professional and nice. Kylie did my wax and she was fantastic. I had my eyebrows done for the first time in a long time and they look absolutely amazing.

Ive been here a few times now, its been a 5 star experience each time!Each person I have seen to get my wax services done has been top notch. Across the board they are consistently great at what they do and fun to talk with.Wont regret coming here. Plus, on National Donut Day - they had donuts for their guests :D

Very friendly staff and clean room, but seemed a bit overpriced. My skin broke out a little bit from their product, but it was nice that for the first visit, its 1/2 off. They seemed hungry for reviews. I would possibly go back if I am desperate for a wax job that I cannot do myself.

Love this place! Kylie is a great waxer/staff member! She has me laughing the whole time! The owner is down to earth as well and helped check me out at the front! Very clean! Their little extras like chapstick, exfoliating gloves etc are super cheap! I would definitely recommend this place for all your wax needs!

Started coming here about a year ago! And Desiree (I think is her name) does an AMAZING job!This summer I’m going to start waxing EVERYTHING with her! Haha I currently just do my face. But shaving is becoming a nuisance and she has me convinced!I used to have it done with my hair guy and he uses the old style hard wax, and it’s a pain and I almost always bleed or end up with a blister or a break out. And I’ve been going to him for over 15years! So when I find someone I like, I stick with them! I am a loyal customer. See ya soon Desiree! 💋

I loved this place until I met the owner. She makes going there not worth it at all. Her staff has been great but she is not professional and completely unapologetic to the fact that if they decide to change your appointment time they will not call you, they state that they send texts however the text them self which are received show your current appointment time. she went so far as to tell me to go to European waxing?!? This is poor business practice and frankly rude. If you have to move someones appointment the appropriate thing to do is to pick up the phone and make a call to speak to them especially when you can show them on your cell phone that the message you received was to confirm your appointment. If you care so little about not accepting accountability for not doing the courteous thing and having an actual conversation with someone when you change their appointment time that you actually tell them to take their business elsewhere then I would say as a business owner you are not invested in customer service and really dont care about your clients, or have any respect for their time or them personally. That type of attitude about your business and its clients is exactly why I would not give my money to you and will in fact go elsewhere. Especially given the fact that I was not in the least bit rude or argumentative, I simply showed her my reminder on my phone from her establishment and I pointed out that the appropriate thing to do is make a phone call rather than rely on technology but I guess that point would be lost on someone who doesnt value maintaining positive relationships with clientele. If this were my business I would pick up the phone because I care about my clients and I respect them and their time.

Im in love with this place! Its beautiful, modern, elegant and super clean! Their cerologists are very well trained and certified and their wax is just magical! Ive been waxing for over 10 years and this is the best waxing salon Ive even been to! The other places I used to go would take almost 1 hour to get me waxed and now my appointments at Waxing the City take like 20-25 min at the most! Angelica, my cerologist, is super fast and the whole experience is simply painless with the wax they have and their special technique! I totally recommend Waxing the City in Overland Park!
