Customer service here was fantastic. The woman helping us asked a ton of clarifying questions to help narrow down exactly what we wanted. She also worked around our tight schedule and ordered items that were available in the next two days. Overall shopping here was a great experience.

They were overall very kind and worked with us through every step of the process from picking out stones which were brought to us to view no obligation to sending us cad drawings of the ring to make sure we liked the design. and in the end created a truly one of a kind ring incorporating our own stones as well as new ones into a absolutely stunning design with a very reasonable price tag. I recently went to Joslins jewelry for a wedding band resize and necklace repair. They did both repairs the same day while I waited. They also said the repairs would not take long. We knew that is where we wanted to go to have them redesign my original wedding ring. We were not disappointed. Cameron P (of Joslins) is such an incredibly kind individual, but more importantly as someone who is very familiar with the trade I can honestly say that they are highly skilled at their craft while also providing value and guidance to their customers (and not just sell you!). There are not many full service stores with a bench jeweler on site (multiple actually), especially ones that are run with such fluidity, ensuring that customers needs are beyond met. Value (or price-wise) they are extremely fair and you get way more than what you pay for in terms of expert guidance, quality and service, and they do it so authentically.TLDR: This family owned and operated store is the real deal -- great values, great quality, actual experts. I could not imagine buying a diamond online with all of the nuances involved, or even begin to fathom how to create a structurally sound ring (not one that is cheaply made to economies of scale as thin as brittle as a tin like most places online who compete with each other and cut corners to do so). If you are looking for actual fine jewelery piece, and a true jewelry craftsman and you happen to live near this gem of a place (that is FULL SERVICE which means your gems are not risked being shipped all around if you ever need repairs), then consider yourself lucky that you dont have to roll the dice to get something well made, for a great value with actual experts there to help you every step of the way. I took the time to write this review because I believe in small businesses like these, and especially ones that are run so well bc they do it out of a passion for their craft. I surely do miss going shopping in person and having great, quality options esp. in these days when brick and mortar stores have so much stacked against them! If I could give Joslin’s Jewelry a 5+ star rating I would!!! My husband and I could not afford an engagement ring 25 years ago when we decided to marry. Now, 25 years later, my husband wanted to give me the engagement ring of my dreams. Dave at Joslin’s made my dream come true today!!! I came to Dave with a design that I had in my head for years. He made it happen. He made calls to his gem specialist in Texas, who sent several sapphire stones of 2+ cts for me to make a selection from and found a pair of .5 cts diamonds that are perfectly matched for each side. I conveyed to Dave a vintage gold ring that I envisioned and he had my ring cast in New York by his designer...it was perfect down to the hand carved detail down the sides of the ring. All the pieces finally came together (under budget, I might add) at Dave’s store in Overland Park and the result is such a beautiful piece if art!!! Thank you Dave and Joslin’s!!!

Honest reasonable local jewelry store. I frequent the store often as I have older jewelry that requires frequent repairs. I’m very impressed with their knowledge and general customer service. I gave them 3 stars due to the fact that when I visited today in my mask, none of the employees or owners were wearing masks! I was protecting them. Why are they not protecting their customers. Very disappointed.

We recently moved to the area, and my wife felt her center stone on her wedding ring was loose. Joslins was recommended to us by some friends. The team member who helped me was great, and the jeweler tightened the prongs right away. They also checked the ring over for any other issues. Super quick, professional, friendly, and polite. We have not purchased anything from Joslins as this was the first time in, but I was very impressed by their professionalism.

I visited Joslins Jewelry based on a recommendation of a friend who has had great service there over the years. However, I believe I drew the short straw when a young man with dark hair attempted to help me. Im unsure if he was just too busy for me or preoccupied, but he was rude and gave short answers. Wow! That’s all I could say when I picked up my ring. First of all—I have had my ring for 9 years and I work in veterinary medicine, so there is some wear and tear on my jewelry. I had lost one of my diamonds from my ring and I was devastated. I went in to Joslin’s, got a very reasonable quote and was told the repair would take 2 weeks. The NEXT DAY I got a call saying that my ring was finished. When I went to pick up my ring, they had exceeded my expectations. My ring looked like it did the first I tried it on after my husband asked me to marry him. Hands down...the best place. I will not even think about taking my ring anywhere else. Next on my itinerary is to buy one of their beautiful anniversary bands they have...such a big selection!

I had lost a pearl on my necklace and needed it restrung. I went to pick up my jewelry my ring was fine, but they gave me the wrong pearl necklace my necklace was light pink and white pearls with a 14kt filigree clasp. Theres a very tall white lady who kept tell me this is yours she wouldnt listen at all...there was a lady saleswoman who kept telling her that one is not her necklace. Its been 5yr they wont return my call so dont purchase anything please. I really feel they are low key RACIST. They might do good work but if your not white your not Right for there store...

Excellent little shop. The owner is a Green Bay fan like myself and I really enjoyed the service here. We ended up going with a different ring somewhere else but I was really impressed with the service here. I would have given 5 stars but I felt like the staff relied too heavily on the owner for more information so it was hard for him to keep up with all of the customers. Maybe take some extra time to teach them a bit more. They do a great job with their customer service.

Went in looking to get two rings soldered together - a bit of a mismatch ring wise; one was sterling silver with topaz and the other white gold with diamonds. They helped me out in a matter of minutes (literally) doing a good, quick soldering job and quick cleaning to make the stones look great. It was such an easy experience and every time that Ive been in there, theyve been great to work with.

They were very nice. I went here to get my wedding band and engagement ring soldered together. It was a challenging ring, because the band was molded to fit against the curves of the engagement ring. It took a few consultations, but eventually they got it fitted together. It looks beautiful now. :) I would recommend them to anyone else looking to get their rings adjusted in anyway.

Great experience! I thought my husbands watch was done for, but I was wrong. Both sides of the wrist band were broken, the face was chipped and it had not told the time after a new battery. They fixed it very quickly and were pleasant through the entire process. We are customers for life!!!!!

I brought my car key in for a repair. The battery in my key has been dead for weeks now. There is a screw in the key, that has to be removed to replace the battery. That screw has been stuck for a long time. I couldnt remove it, so I could change the battery. I took it to the car dealer, a watch repair place, and several Radio Shacks(before they went out of business), and not one of them was able to remove the screw. It was a factory key from Honda, and they wouldnt even try to remove the screw for me. I thought a jeweler might be my only, and last hope. Ive heard, and saw many commercials, about the customer service that Joslins Jewelry provides. I live close the there, so I thought why not? I took my key in Saturday morning, and they had the screw out and new battery in, in about 20-30 minutes. No charge for the battery or for the work they performed. I was so happy to get my key finally fixed, and for free. If I ever need any jewelry, Ill most definitely take my business to Joslins Jewelry 100% of the time. I would highly recommend them for anyone else who needs any jewelry. THANKS A MILLION TIMES OVER FOR YOUR HELP!

Went to Joslins based on a recommendation, and was not disappointed at all. Originally we had went in to have a family heirloom (yellow gold jewelry) dipped into rhodium to turn it white and give the piece new life... and WOW what a difference that makes.I ended up using that ring as my engagement ring. Based on the style of the ring if could not be resized and we looked through a catalogue for a new setting. Took my wedding rings in to be sized. I had a bad fall last spring, injuring my left hand. The swelling has yet to go down completely. I was upset because I wore two diamond eternity bands and had heard that they could not be sized. Not only could they, but even I can barely tell where they made the adjustments! Wow! I am so glad I found Joslins. I recently had my rings cleaned at a big-box jewelry store at the mall, where they told me that four of the five diamonds on my wedding band were loose. They quoted me $450 to have the diamonds and platinum prongs fixed, and said it would be sent off and ready to be picked up in two weeks. I was uncomfortable having my ring shipped off, and thought I should get a second opinion. I asked my husband if he knew of any jewelers in the KC area as we purchased my set out-of-state. He said the hosts on the sports radio station he listens to always speak highly of Joslins, and he felt like they would be more of a trusted source to turn to. I researched Joslins online and discovered they had an impeccable reputation. I walked in today, and was greeted right away by the owner, Gary Joslin. I told him my experience at the mall, and he instantly said they were lying to me. He inspected my ring on the spot and said only one diamond was really loose, and to give him a minute and he would fix it right away! I waited for only a few minutes and before I knew it, he had fixed it, polished it and brought it back to me, all for FREE!!! I was blown away. He even gave me a hug thanking me, and said everyone is treated like family at Joslins. I will go nowhere else for jewelry repair or a jewelry purchase. Customer for life!

I cannot give Gary and his staff high enough marks for their service and price. I went to a local, national chain first and left there feeling greasy. The ladies at the H chain made used care salesmen look like angels. At Joslins, I was never rushed and was even given advise that saved me a lot of money. I cant remember the last time I had a purchasing experience like I did with Gary. I left feeling like I was part of his family. I suggest Kimmy I stop trying to play the race card, lose her sense of entitlement and voice her concerns to the owner. Just because a store doesnt stock what you want, or they suggest something more economical, doesnt mean they dont like you.

I needed an earring post shortened. First, I went to Kay Jewelers, after 3 weeks, they handed me the earring back and had done NOTHING but were going to charge $30. After inquiring, they said their jeweler didnt know what to do. Frustrated, I left. I found Joslins online and stopped by. Their jeweler looked at my earring and clipped the length right in front of me! It took 3 seconds. I was very impressed by their customer service, their location, and their friendly staff. And.....they didnt even charge me for the adjustment. Spread the word about Joslins.....they are amazing!!!

We took my wife’s wedding band in to have a tip repaired and they replaced the basket instead with a very different basket that was to small for a 1ct diamond, and replated the band without restoring the brushed look on the center of the band! They said they would do the brushed look if we insisted if we brought it back, when she got it back the second time it looked terrible and I called to complain, telling them they ruined her ring with the substandard basket and bad brush job, the manager fired back at me they would fix it correctly in one day if she brought it in a third time! We decided they just do poor work and we would go somewhere else to get it corrected, besides the manager being rude about not getting it right the first two times. They like to advertise how low their repair fees are, so you should expect to get what you pay for there.

Just bought my engagement ring from this place! I am going to be honest, I went a lot of places and did a good chunk of research and this was the only place with honest people and honest prices. I had someone try and sell me a ring that was way lower color and cut for way more. Gary Joslin is one of the most honest business men I have had the pleasure of meeting. As anyone knows, the diamond industry can get pretty messy when it comes to common moral basis and respect. I am glad to say that Joslin’s knocked it out of the park for me. Before going in today, I would have rated Joslins 5 stars across the board, specifically for the service Dave Carpenter had provided me. Ive purchased my wedding ring and band separately on two occasions with wonderful experiences. Whenever small stones would fall out of my ring, Joslins would replace them promptly and courteously. I inquired about a wedding band for my husband when I bought mine earlier this year and Dave was kind enough to go over a few bands with me. He told me it would be beneficial for my husband to get sized at Joslins rather than another store because of their comfort fit bands.Today (nearly a year later), I brought my husband to Joslins with me to get sized. Ive been telling him for over a year how wonderful Joslins is. When we got there, there were 3 or 4 other couples being helped by staff. We stood there with our two children for 5 minutes without a single greeting. Finally, after having made eye contact with someone multiple times, a friend of Joslins came over and said he would be happy to show us a few things while we waited. He was kind, brought out the wedding bands we asked for, and was willing to size my husbands finger. He even engaged with my young children and sized their fingers. Within one minute, Gary Joslin came over and quickly told my husband and I that he would give us his business card with a website to view more ring options. No hello, no how are you?, no how may I help you?We were looking at the new Tantalum line (approximately $450 according to the tags on the rings); however, Gary quickly gestured to the other rings and said they ran about $200 or so and would be more affordable. He sized my husbands finger when his friend told him we were looking to get sized, then left to get his business card with the website written on the back. When I asked about purchasing a ring in my husbands size, Gary said he could order the ring in for us, but that most of the rings in the case were fake rings and for display only.In the few short minutes we spent with Gary, I was completely offended. Not only were we not greeted for 5 minutes with a simple, Well be right with you as theyve done with me in the past, we were rushed out of the store and told the wedding bands for men were fake and display only. I find this hard to believe as Dave never suggested this when I looked at the rings previously. Additionally, both of my rings were purchased from the case. Am I to believe the womens rings are for sale, but not the mens? I dont buy it. Gary was also quick to suggest the less expensive bands when we clearly were interested in the Tantalum series. Did he presume we couldnt afford the one we wanted?While I always give the benefit of the doubt, my husband and I couldnt help but wonder if we were treated this way because hes black. Would we have been treated better and provided with actual service had (1) he not been black, (2) been dressed less casual, or (2) I had gone in alone?Ive always recommended Joslins to my friends and family, but I will no longer recommend them after my experience today. My husbands ring will be purchased elsewhere.

A few yrs back my husband bought me a beautiful ring at Joslins. The diamonds kept falling out. After the third time they gave me a ring of my choice. About two yrs later a diamond came out of that one so I just put it away until I could afford another diamond. A few months back I took it in, low and behold they fixed it for free since it was purchase there. This is the ONLY place we buy jewelry. They are wonderful..

I brought my engagement ring to be resized UP on Oct. 5th, 2017. I had to wait two weeks to receive my ring back, which I was informed of upfront. When I got the ring back, I initially loved it. It looked as if they did an amazing job. Come this past week though I noticed it was harder to remove than usual. I take the ring off and notice the band is severely bending where they welded it together (when they added extra material). It looks horrendous. They obviously made the band way too thin and now I have to have it fixed. Do not recommend.

My fiance and I had purchased my engagement ring last March from a jewelry store in Los Angeles. Yesterday, I looked down at my hand and found one of the side diamonds on my band had fallen off. I got in contact with the orignal jewelry store, who told me they would fix it, I would just need to overnight it to them- at a cost of around $70 with insurance. This made me very nervous, so I called Joslins and spoke to Dave, who told me to bring my ring in and he would take a look.Long story short- not only are they replacing my diamond for a fraction of the shipping cost, they are also going to re-dip my white gold band- and all within a few days, for WELL under what it would cost to ship my ring out to California.I found Joslins through my old roommate, and because she spoke so highly of them I knew it would be the right place to go. They are friendly, honest and fair- with a beautiful selection of jewelry and go above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to customer service.I am over the moon I am getting my ring repaired in a matter of days and re-dipped, for a fraction of what it would cost to ship it to the original jeweler. I cannot speak highly enough about this jewelry store. We will be coming back again and again.

Had a custom piece made. The price changed when we came to get it. It was day before christmas eve. Couldnt go anywhere else.

The owner is really odd and made my wife really uncomfortable with some of his stories. I dont think Ill be shopping there again. There are plenty of other jewelry stores in town.

Once you visit this store you will never go anywhere else! My family has been going to Joslins for years, both buying and getting jewelry altered. A few years ago I decided to get my Grandmas size 3 ring sized to a 9 and reset, Dave at Joslins made it happen! Its perfect (a little big now though :) More recently I have become engaged and my ring was just a little too small, Zales was not going to size it or appraise it without sending it away for 2wk+, I couldnt bare to think it would be gone for that long, so my fiance and I went to Joslins and got it sized and appraised for a 1/4 of what the selling store Zales was going to charge us, and got it back in a 1/4 of the time also. The day I dropped it of was like every other time I have been in the store, they are all so nice and you really walk in and you are then part of their family, the ladies wanted to talk wedding, I felt so comfortable leaving me ring (like I feel leaving all of my jewelry with them) They will take care of you and your jewelry, you will leave feeling like you have a Jeweler in your family!

Even though it took them a bit longer than they said to resize my ring, they are great. The owner contacted us to let us know what issues they were having and what they were doing to fix it.

Joslins has been wonderful to my wife and I. She is a bit more picky about service (Love ya hun, but you know its true!) than I am, so the fact they were able to impress her since day one, then maintain her trust with yearly cleanings suggests Joslins knows what they are doing. Dont even bother with the big chain stores. Stay local, avoid big-store pressure, and get top notch service and selection!

I was recently gifted my moms old wedding set and needed to get it resized. I did quick google search and had two criteria: the jeweler needed to be locally owned (no chains or big box stores) and they needed to do all of their work in-house and on-site. I found a store that fit the criteria and took my ring for an estimate. 15 minutes later I walked out incredibly discouraged - they told me that nearly every prong needed to be replaced, that both rings (the engagement ring and wedding band she had soldered together) would need to be re-shanked, and then it would be re-sized and re-soldered. The price tag? Nearly $600! That was significantly more than we had budgeted for resizing and repairing the ring and I was a little broken hearted. I decided to consult the googles once again, and came across Joslins. I had heard radio commercials before but didnt realize that they also did repair and resizing for rings that werent purchased at their store. I took my ring in and said nothing about what I had been told at the previous jeweler. The sales consultant took my ring behind the counter to the room where I could actually see the jewelers at work and a few minutes later came back and told me that the prongs look fine, that the back is a bit thin and will probably eventually need a quarter shank on each ring but looked fine for now, and quoted me $70 for the resizing. To top it off? The ring would be ready in 2 weeks. I was THRILLED! I didnt think it could get any better, but when I went to pick my ring up today - 3 days earlier than anticipated! - I discovered it was a tiny bit snug and had been sized a quarter size smaller than I thought we had originally discussed. I was a little disappointed but also realized that though its a bit snug now, its also the middle of summer and Im 6 months pregnant - so once the heat subsides and the kid arrives, it should be just fine. The girl helping me - who happened to be the owners daughter - grabbed one of the jewelers - who just happened to also be her father and the owner - and they were SO understanding and accommodating. They offered to size it up the quarter size, same day, at no charge. I declined since Im afraid that once Im no longer swollen it would then be too large, but the fact that they immediately offered to take such good care of a first time customer who didnt even purchase the ring from their store was amazing. They also said that if at any point I decide that I do want to have it resized, just bring it in and remind them of the circumstances and theyll take care of it. I never in my life thought Id say I have a jeweler, but, I have a jeweler, and I will be recommending Joslins to everyone I know.

I brought my 14k gold chain in that snaged on my Rolex, the chain is so fine it is as if a hair.The service was so nice i was jaw droped!!!! :) I was greeted by every staff member nice and politely. I was helped and my chain was fixed in seconds!!!! It was only 5$the chain had no loop and looked perfect!I had also lost the back to my 14k gold and dimond ear ring. I have this pice on every day it acents my face and ears and everyone who knows me knows my gold. I had lost the back and could not find it for the pure life of me. I am only charges 15$ for a new 14k yellow gold earing back that matches perfectly to my earing!This store and thr selection is amazing they are all nice people i hurd calls being made to custmers about new arivels! The knolage of the staff was truly Amazing. I will allways go here, it so nice. If I could give 10 stars I would! .

My wifes wedding ring was in need of repair as the prongs were bent so much that the diamond had some wiggle to it.I took the ring in to Joslins for repair. The staff was great and gave me a very well explained explanation and options in which to have it repaired. I left it there for pick up on Christmas Eve as to have this under the tree for my wife to open on Christmas Eve as a surprise. She had been pretty bummed out about not being able to wear it for almost 3 months.Upon pick up Christmas Eve, it was explained that there was an issue with my diamond. Gary Joslin explained eveything to me personally, and explained the error they had encountered. He certainly didnt have to do this, and could have resolved the issue w/o my knowing.Gary personally stayed after hours on Christmas Eve to make sure I didnt leave his store empty handed w/o my wifes ring. Not only did he come forward with an issue he could have never mentioned, but showed his unprecedented generosity and genuine concern by resolving the issue, and upgrading my wifes diamond at no charge (the $ difference was very significant).He had it wrapped, and made sure a customer from the street whom had never been in their store; was not only satisfied with the resolution to error, but wasnt left empty handed on Christmas morning. I walked out without spending a dime.My wife was so astounded, and happy she cried after opening it. Her first word were It looks bigger. I explained the story, Garys time, effort, and generosity. Needless to say, my efforts to repair what was broken were rewarded with what she called the best Christmas she can remember.Gary followed up with a phone call after Christmas to make sure my wife was happy, and thanked me for my business.Id heard stories from advertisment on the radio about their exta effort, and honest business practice. Being the cynic I am; I believed the stories were a bit exaggerated. Im happy to offer my story, and graditude to Gary Joslin, and his staff w/o advertisment charge or embellishment. Ive never in my life experienced such service, honesty, and extra effort in any business exchange.Hats off to you, Gary. Every bit of good will you get is well deserved. I wont shop anywhere else for jewery going forward.
