Shadd exceeded our expectations on every level. This was our first time building a custom home and we had no idea what we were doing. We gave Shadd all our idea and he created our dream house into our reality. Every time I brought up something that I thought couldn’t work, but really wanted, he did his magic and there it was. Or if I wanted to change something a hundred times, he did it. He was comfortable and confident, we trusted him instantly. He didn’t mind us bringing all 4 kids over to his home while we spent hours working on our plans. Great experience. Shad is very good at helping you work through a layout that works well by thinking ahead about possible conflicts of framing, HVAC, and architectural requirements. He has a good structural back ground that helps him consider the constructability of your project. He is a great resource of Q/A and will see the project through.

I enjoyed working with Shadd on our project. He is very professional and dedicated to his work. It is great to meet someone that will follow through with their commitment. Shadd was recommended by our builder to take our ideas and turn them into a complete house design. I lost count of the number of times that he had to change the plan, first here and then there, but I never got the impression that he was loosing patience with us. It was as clear at the end of the process as it was at the very beginning that Shadd wasn’t going to be satisfied until we were totally and completely happy with his final product.

Shadd did a great job with my plans! He worked with me on my design until it was just what I wanted and even helped me find a builder! He was courteous, professional, and prompt. If I ever do anything else that needs plans Im calling Shadd!!

Dealing with SJDesign has been a great experience. Their communication with customers is very good. When you start a project with them they are by your side until your project is complete. It doesnt end when you get your permit from the city. Their drawings are extremely well done and will get you through the city permit process very smoothly so it saves you more time on your project. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking to do a design project. I plan on working with these guys with my projects in the future.

Shadd has done several projects for me over the years in both commercial and residential construction design/drafting. The projects ranged from simple bathroom or kitchen remodels to complex commercial build-outs. We have also worked on hurricane damage projects together. He has brought every project in under budget and on time. I highly recommend him and look forward to working with him on many more projects in the future.
