Great Company.. But Eric Nuttall is rude. I have never dealt with someone so unprofessional.

We have worked with the Eide Bailly team for many years. We trust their tax and payroll expertise and appreciate their hard work. They always go above and beyond!

I worked with this accounting company back when they were Hawkins, Cloward and Simister. They were great back then - always professional, I felt like they knew what they were doing and had a great relationship with our accountant (Josh Rowley).Since being acquired by Eide Bailly, though, they are nothing like they used to be. This year their estimate for our tax return was off by about $20K (and not in a good way). Really put us in a cash crunch.The only time I ever hear from them now if for payment collection for their services. I wouldnt recommend their services for any small businesses - maybe they are good for big businesses, Im not sure.

Poor quality, poor value, not professional, and not responsive hardly touch the surface of this company. Weve been with them since they were Hawkins.

Disabled, on disability, and they charged $200 for a simple,1 piece of paper of federal only tax return. Only reason it was sent there was because other family documents were being processed and it seemed easier when there was a question on it. I would never recommend them. Nor trust them again. I sure hope they feel good about what they did. And by the way the other family documents are no longer going to this company. Because they charge too much and then my fee really ticked everyone off. I wouldnt even give it a star if I could.

I’ve been having my taxes done here for over 10 years because they work quickly, are personable, and they take the headache out of doing it myself. Some things I would so much rather pay to have them done right the first time. Never been audited. It’s been a smooth process every year. I’ve worked with Josh Rowley and his team directly and they are the kind of accountants you love to see and work with every year.

KayLynn Hilton does a fantastic job. She is proactive, thorough and great to work with. I would highly recommend her for personal, business, and investment taxes.

Incompetent back office, unable to keep track of invoices, with a central office in Fargo ND, sending you bills and invoices from 2 years ago that they failed to send to you, threatening collections,i would suggest avoiding them at all cost

Over these past many years, Josh has been our trusted adviser as we have nearly tripled in size. Whenever I have an accounting question, or even when we may be considering a business decision, Josh has been there to engage in our internal discussions. We have sincerely appreciated his professionalism and advice all along the way.

Very service-oriented, very technically capable, and very personable accountants. The latter description is not in error--these folks go beyond counting beans and balancing accounts and actually get to know their clients and their businesses and offer insights, recommendations, and support that help build those businesses. Highly recommended.

Although Ive only used HCS for around a year and a half, they have a lifelong client in me. They are fast, professional, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable. I use them for tax preparation and to manage the payroll and 401k plan on my small business. The tax savings that they have brought me, alone, have paid for their services many times over. When I came to them, I was a disorganized single member LLC with no bookkeeping, and they helped me sort this out and make a plan to keep my books.

Eric Nuttall is a smooth talker and will tell you exactly what you want to hear. Unfortunately, thats where Eide Baillys service ends. Eric convinced us to move accounting, payroll, and taxes over to him and promised the world then delivered nothing.With their payroll service they messed up employee and business taxes multiple times and at one point we were behind 3 months on state taxes because they werent correctly paying them. If youre planning on letting an employee go, make sure to plan it well in advance because even though their agreement says they can do same day checks -- it turns out they can’t.Their accounting service was delayed, unorganized, and the numbers were always incorrect. Eric was supposed to review numbers before our quarterly meetings but every appointment we had with him it was clear that right then was the first time hed looked at any of our numbers for the quarter. We spent most of those meetings correcting their accounting.As far as taxes go after our other horrible experiences with Eric we decided to find another company to handle them. Maybe that is the one service he is competent in but I wouldnt count on it.

Eric Nuttall is a fraud and liar. He overpromised and delivered nothing but insane amounts of headaches and problems for our business. I cant stress enough how far I would stay away from this company.Joyce who works in payroll is absolutely rude mean and incompetent. This company cost my business tens of thousands of dollars over the 6 months we worked together and they screwed up every possible thing you can imagine. They screwed up payroll... they screwed up IRS distributions they were incompetent in regards to estimating taxes.STAY AWAY. Since they were purchased by a bigger accounting firm they are a nightmare to work with and Eric Nuttall will look you directly in your eyes and lie to you.(Angie was very pleasant and nice to work with and actually didnt screw up everything we asked - unlike Eric and Joyce)

I have been trying to get a W2 from my employer who has been using their services for over 2 months now. Once I finally got it, they sent me a 1099, which I was not self employed, then i was sent a W2 that was missing line 1, which is the wages, and after that got fixed, they forgot to put on my employers state ID #. I dont know if its incompetence from just one employee, but Im glad Im not going to have to deal with them again. This has been a total nightmare.
