I got a massage membership as a Christmas gift from my husband so I was really excited about using it. The first massage I received was pretty good so I decided to go back. The second massage was not good at all. The therapist seemed very shakey and unsure of what he was doing. His fingernails were long and digging into my back every time he would try to massage deep. It was so uncomfortable and painful.I also feel like they would ask me what areas I wanted to focus on and completely just do their own thing and not what I had asked for.I would not recommend this location at all. I’ve tried 4 or 5 therapists and they have all seemed to be very inexperienced.Looking to cancel my membership as soon as possible.

If i could give them 0 stars i would. Last time my husband and i went there, they had us fill out a form on what areas they wanted us to focus on...they didnt even work on those areas and just did their own thing like the other review said.

Uncomfortable and unprofessional.My bed was cold, the person giving my massage was shaking and timid. His methods felt haphazard and unsure on my back. I was face down with a mask on and as pressure was applied I was so uncomfortable trying to breathe and respond/talk to the therapist the last thing it was was effective or relaxing. I told Amy at the front desk and no alternative therapist or credit refund was offered. She said her manager would call within the hour and I never received a call the entire day.

I paid for a 60 min massage they didn’t bring me back till 1:10 and he finished ay 1:55. Paid for 60 min and only got a 45 min massage. Def will be going somewhere else in the future.

Recently canceled my membership because of difficulty getting in because massage envy is very booked as of late and i have been busy myself. No hard feelings just canceled because it makes sense. I havent been using my time so I have over 7 hours accrued of credit. They told me I had 60 days to use them and canceled my account with no problem. I got on the schedule and used an hour and a half on Sunday the 27th. I also scheduled an hour for today Oct 2. However when I arrived this time, they told me I could not get a massage until I pay them 60$. My account is canceled, and they owe me 7 hours. See the problem. I Sat outside for 10 min to be told pay or I cant use it. The girl at the counter said she talked to the manager and said theres nothing they can do unless I pay them. I couldnt justify it to myself. They owe me me $420 in service, and wont fulfill their part unless I pay them 60$ more dollars. My account is canceled. I dont owe you anything else. You owe me. I wish I could get my 420$ back. Give me 360$ in service but its a crime if I pay another time on a legitimately canceled account. Wasted my time, I was looking forward to a massage today, instead I was given the boot and treated like a scrub because I Wouldnt pay more money on a canceled account of which I am owed service. Wouldnt recommend this fast-food version of a massage parlor, with bait and switch tactics. One Google search reveals all the stories of them alienating their customers. I was a faithful customer for years. And always tipped Very well. Very disappointed.

I had a massage set up for 9:00 AM and my friend at 8:00 AM and I got a call at 8:20 telling me that my appointment had been canceled. After I had received a confirmation the day before and the morning of. I had already headed up to the Orem location when I received the call. Plan would’ve had to fall through for me in order to accommodate them. I feel like there was more that could’ve been done on their end to get me in at my appointment time.To say the least I was extremely upset.

I went in for lower back pain. My therapist was so good and found all the painful areas and massaged away the pain!

This rating is for my massage therapist Hunter! I previously had a membership here with the old manager Taylor Boone. Taylor was awesome and we had built a relationship - so he knew my physical activity background and he always gave me an awesome massage that I needed for some tight muscles post gym. After Taylor left I really struggled finding a massage therapist that liked.. the massages were always hit or miss, usually miss.. so I hadn’t gone back in about a year. I went yesterday and took my mom on a late Mother’s Day date and we both had such a great experience. Hunter actually listened to me. I said I had back issues and sciatica, and he treated exactly that. Other therapist I felt like would breeze past that and do something completely random that left me feeling worse. Hunter was so kind and understanding and held great conversation with me and I walked out of the building (and still woke up this morning) feeling like I can bend in half!! I’ve been dealing with sciatica pain for over 5 years now and have done every treatment other than disc surgery and nothing has worked... except for this. Last night was the BEST night sleep I have had in MONTHS. I almost forgot what it feels like to not have a constant pinch around my tailbone and to be able to move my shoulders and back like this feels bizarre!! I feel amazing. Thank you Hunter!!

This is the worst place to try & cancel your membership. Weve tried canceling four times IN A ROW, and each time they made the same exact offer to retain us. I understand trying a first time, but to do it more than once is annoying and tacky.

I have had several massages there by different therapists and every one of them was amazing! They are respectful and really care about my wellness. The ONLY reason I didn’t give them five stars is because they are hard to get in to if you are wanting a massage right away. You have to schedule well in advance.

The facility was great, clean and welcoming. The check in process was thorough. The issue i had was with the massage therapist and his experience. I went in for a 90 min massage to help relieve tension in my shoulder and lower back. The therapist did not know different strokes for different areas so he just rubbed the same spot over and over and didnt seem to get to the actual muscle. I left with even more pain than I went in with. Then when I left they asked if I wanted a membership! no thanks.

I don’t normally take the time to write reviews but this service was the worst service I think I have seen. Which was super unfortunate since I had bought my husband a massage last for Father’s Day. I had called in and set the appointment for him and advised that I might need to do the later appointment and she said not a problem let us know.I called back to get my husbands appointment changed to the later one and the guy said they had to keep half the money.~~This was not something that I was advised about so we rushed to get my husband in they said they (would still take him if he was in no more then 10 mins) fine we show up 7 mins late for the appointment and then they check him in.They kept him out side for over 20 mins and then only gave my husband a 20 min massage when we paid for the 60 min. The lady that did the massage didn’t seem to be very experienced. She rushed the job and over all the entire Orem branch seemed like a joke. I wouldn’t recommend spending your money at this location.

Easy location. Super friendly staff. Ive been here a dozen times or so and have generally had a great massage (I give the therapist pretty clear instruction on what Im looking for). I highly recommend hot stone 90 minute session if you have the time and money. It is so relaxing!

PLEASE READ BEFORE CONSIDERING A MASSAGE HERE.I dont give negative reviews. Most of the time, I ignore bad experience and reward good experiences with positive reviews. This one took the cake, so Im going out of my way to keep people out of here.My friend and I setup surprise massages for our wives for Mothers Day a couple weeks in advance. A few days before the scheduled massage, my friends wife gets a call from Massage Envys manager and she tells her that due to overbooking that day, we needed to reschedule the massages. She didnt know about the massages (surprise ruined), so she was confused. Once she started figuring out what was going on, she told the manager that her husband had probably set this up as a surprise, and that shed have to talk to him about rescheduling in case other things were planned that day. The manager responded with, Well it doesnt matter, you need to reschedule. Long story short, the manager demanded that my friends wife reschedule her massage due to THEIR screw up, and even started to call her out for lying about the massage being a surprise, since she mustve known something about it because you knew what I was talking about when I called. Yeah, thats probably a good way to make sure you keep your customers coming back.Not only did the manager accuse our friend of lying, but she continually demanded that we reschedule the rest of their spa day because Massage Envy cant figure out how to schedule their therapists. I could go on, but you get the idea.Weve asked Massage Envys area manager to call us back, but after 2 weeks we havent heard back. Weve messaged corporate, been promised a response within 48 hours, and now a week later, no response. Go ahead and try these guys, but you better hope nothing goes wrong because they wont do anything for you. Worst customer service experience Ive ever had.

This place is a joke and very disrespectful to the customer. It was my first time coming here and my massage therapist was wonderful. When i came out of my massage, the women at the front desk told me about the membership and the benefit of having it. The point that struck my interest was that i could cancel my membership at any time as long it was before my payment was due, so i said sure why not. Well, about a week later or so i was looking at my finances and it wasnt in my budget to keep going with the membership so i called to cancel. The next day i got a call from the manager asking why i wanted to cancel. Again I explained to her that it wasnt in my budget and i no longer wanted the membership. The manager apologized and told me that she was unable to cancel my request and that there was nothing she could do. I said, There is something that you can do but you dont want to. She told me that i would have to pay the 12 months before i could cancel but that is not what they told me when i first signed up and the whole reason for signing up was that i could cancel at any time and now they are not following through on what they told me. I will not be recommending this place to anyone and i will not be coming back for being treated so disrespectfully. At this time, all i want is to cancel my membership for being given incorrect information.

I LOVE getting facials at this massage envy location! My skin always feels and looks refreshed and youthful. The facialist is extremely talented. She knows just what your face needs. She gives you a scalp, arms, and head massage as well. It is a relaxing and refreshing experience. You’ll walk out feeling like a whole new person.

I was so impressed at Massage Envy!!! They are so friendly, knowledgeable, experienced, and awesome! My therapist always asks how the pressure is, she remembers what areas I need more work on, and she is simply amazing! I was concerned about the price at first, but now I am totally okay with it because they do SO good I feel so much better and its worth it! I would highly recommended message envy!!!

Today I was having some back tightness and Taylor was able to effectively mitigate the issues I was having. He was also very conscientious of some preexisiting injuries while giving me good tips on how to stay loose. The gals at the front desk were nice, too, and very helpful!

Taylor is amazing as a Therapist (5 stars). Ranata as well. Generally, the staff is kind, professional and fun to be around. Massage for me is more far more ‘medical’ than ‘feel good’ and the Orem store has never let me down. Every Therapist has been very good, knows their craft and professional through and through.

Back in 2017, I signed up for a monthly massage subscription. The massage quality was good. The massages were easy to schedule and the staff treated me well at the facility. About 9 months later, I no longer needed the massages and decided to cancel my membership.The individual answering calls told me I needed to speak with a manager. I would need to wait for the manager to call me back. When she did, I learned I had committed to 12 months and wasn’t allowed to cancel yet. I thought that was a little misleading, as I didnt recall agreeing to a 12-month lockup. They said I also couldn’t give them advance notice of cancelling. I would need to call in and go through this again when my 12 months were up.When I called back in at the end of the summer, I again had to wait for the manager to call me back. She never did so I called in again. Finally we got on the phone and she tole me I couldn’t cancel yet and that I had to wait for the next month.The following month, the manager told me I needed to sign the official cancellation document, which would take effect after 30 days. Unfortunately I had moved out of the state so I couldn’t go into the location to do this. She sent me the document via email, which I had to print and sign. I sent a picture of it and never heard back. I called back and was told to go into a Massage Envy location and have them fax it in.I went into the location nearest me, explained everything again, and faxed it in. The Orem location said they would confirm receipt but I never heard from them. After calling in a few more times, I received confirmation of receipt and cancellation.I see two main here1. Massage Envy has a burdensome processes to deter customers from cancelling. It is a waste of customers time and energy.2. The Orem franchisee was difficult to communicate with. This compounded the issues with the process.

I had a great first visit to Massage Envy in Orem. The place is clean, well maintained, and the staff is very pleasant. The reason I only gave four stars is because, although I know the front desk staff is trained to do so, as soon as I came out of my massage they offered many reasons why their monthly membership was great and asked if I wanted to sign up. It is a good deal and they were very nice about it, but I just got out of a massage and I wish they would have asked me about it before the massage. Like, get all the talking out of the way beforehand so I can pay and leave and hold on to the relaxation I just paid to receive.

Very good customer service. Relaxing feeling. Lots of water provided. I did prenatal massage with David we got problem areas and it helped me a lot. He is very experienced and didnt hurt me when massaging on legs. My legs are very sensitive do to hairdressing but he was careful it felt relaxing instead of the usual painful massage. Thanks David

I specially like the staff at Orem Utah Massage Envy at the university mall.The staff that welcomes you and checks you in are always so professional and happy. The girl that checked me in this evening was smiling so wide she could’ve eaten a banana sideways! :-)And they have the best therapist in the world. I specially recommend Emily at Orem location. She always takes such good care of me. I don’t know where she gets all of her hand strength but I like deep massage and it seems like she always adds at least a month or two to my life every time I go there ;-) thank you for another great experience!

I wish I could give zero stars. Emily, the assistant manager, seems like she literally hates her customers. I tried to work with her to cancel my membership, and she would not help me, and would not keep me from getting billed in the future for my membership. So basically Im going to get billed in three days even though Ive already cancelled. This place is a scam, and the staff seem to genuinely not only not care for customers, but actively dislike them. Please stay away.

Because of the children, my wife and I have been in Couples Therapy for many years. Well its Couples Massage Therapy actually, but they really are good listeners! We recommend it to anyone feeling stressed out... especially parents. Massage Envy can give you exactly whats needed to keep your marriage and family thriving.

Amazing. Like, if you can afford it, everyone, get a membership. Massage therapy is so overlooked as a major health benefit. I get really bad headaches and awful tension in my neck and shoulders because of posture and terrible stress, but massages really help. ALSO, when you go.... get Ryan! He is so so knowledgeable and professional. He’s cool if you just want to lay there, or if you want to have a nice conversation! He’s a miracle worker!

Massage was okay, staff was not. I went in for a regular massage with no pain. As I was leaving I felt a sharp pain in my lower back. Instead of helping me understand how to fix it or help me with a stretch or two, they went to the back and pulled the physical therapist or specialist from behind the desk to tell me how in her years of service and with all her expertise, this was not something that could have been caused by their services. She kept on about how wrong I was even though the time for her to talk had come to and end a while ago. All I know is that I went in with no pain and left with lower back pain and they offered no assistance. Massage was great and did not-and do not expect a refund. The service was provided, and I gave a gratuity because this is someones job. All i wanted was some help and none was provided.

I got a gift card to Massage Envy for Mothers Day and it was soooo wonderful! David is awesome! Hes polite and professional and I felt comfortable telling him what I wanted. Id definitely recommend him. The atmosphere is relaxing and you can have the lighting, bed temperature, music, etc altered so the experience is tailored to you. I asked for the focus to be on my arms and legs and it was amazing. The foot massage was one of the best parts. I hope to go back as soon as I can!

I booked a 90 minute massage for my husband for his birthday. I was excited for him to try a 90 minute massage because he loved his 60 minute massage he had previously but wished it was longer. He calls me after an hour to say that it was over. Apparently his massage therapist had a hand injury and couldnt continue with the massage. I understand things like that happen and its unfortunate, but really? There was no one else there to massage him? or to take over? also, I found it odd that the therapist stopped the massage at exactly 60 minutes of massaging and we were billed for the full 60 minutes at least. My husband felt really sore afterwards (he had never felt like that before). This was not at all what I wanted him to go through.

I’ve been going to this location for years and everyone has always been professional. The massage therapists always listen to my requests and are good at what they do. I’ve recommended this place to others and will continue to do so.

Massage Envy is a scam. Plain and simple.It is IMPOSSIBLE TO CANCEL. Weve been trying for months. You have to GO TO THE LOCATION and fill out this arduous form and then they have a ten day processing period where youll get charged for another month. I talked to Emily, the assistant manager, and we were literally fighting on the phone. She was incredibly rude and refused to help me cancel, and would not keep me from getting charged AGAIN in three days even though I submitted the form PRIOR to billing. Overall such a frustrating, infuriating experience. Please stay away from this place, they do not deserve your business.

Myself and my husband had a couples massage. The table heater did not work on my table but we both had very good massages. Noelle did a great job with excellent pressure. Very relaxing and quiet.

The massage therapist (Noelle) was fantastic. She was great at explaining the source of my problem areas and focusing on them. I came out feeling so zen. But I give this location 4 stars because of the pressure to sign up for a membership right before I left. Its frustrating to deal with the pushy upselling attempts right after youve just paid for an hour of relaxation.

Ive been going to massage envy for over a year now and its always been a great experience. It took me a few tries to find a therapist that was a solid match for me, but they were all good in their own ways. Definitely recommend checking it out for stiffness, sore muscles, or just some good ol fashioned relaxation.

Had the best massage today from Brent. He focused on the areas where I needed the most work while getting through a full body massage. Everyone was very nice and the front desk staff was a pleasure to work with. Erin made sure I had a wonderful experience and was well taken care of.

Well the morning of his birthday right before his appointment they called and told me they double booked and couldnt get him in. Totally ruined our plans and they didnt even try to make it up. Definitely NOT scheduling here again.

I had a fabulous experience here today, as a first timer. The entire staff was welcoming and friendly. Jessica, my therapist, was attentive to my needs, and very focused on me uniquely, as she addressed ny concerns. This is a place I plan on visiting again.

The massages that my husband and I were great but booking the appointment was a nightmare. The first time I booked our couples massage, I was on the phone for 5-10 minutes and gave my card information and all other personal information to them. They confirmed my appointment date and time with me twice and I wrote it on my calendar while I still had them on the phone with me just to be sure. When my husband and I showed up for our couples massage at the location we booked, they didnt have us scheduled and didnt have any openings. They tried looking us up on other locations just to be sure and couldnt find an appointment for us so we left unhappy about not receiving our massages. I called and booked another appointment, this time requesting a confirmation email. They booked us with two therapists we wanted but when we got a reminder call the day before the appointment, they had switched our therapists. I called to see what was going on and they werent sure why they were switched and our original therapists werent available for the time we were scheduled. Someone booked them for someone else during our time. The massages were still good with the therapists we ended up having but overall a disappointing and frustrating experience. I will never book with massage envy again.

I really enjoyed my experience with this Massage Envy location. I had had heard a lot of negative reviews about the company in general, but I was desperate and they were close to my work. I was very pleasantly surprised to have an enjoyable experience. The front desk was very kind and professional. They answered my many questions, let me tour the facility, and suggested a therapist who suited my needs. When I came back for my appointment a week later, I was greeted by name, given a cup of water, and ushered to a quiet area to wait for my therapist. Rachel was great, and I felt immensely better afterwards. I have been back to see her twice, and I purchased a year membership. The only thing that could be improved is scheduling out more time so I get a 60 min massage instead of 55 min.

The massages are great but theyre front desk is a bit of a mess to deal with over the phone. They could use some additional training in order to not sound dead on the phone or have a lot of awkward silences. It also help of they give more details so I dont have to ask so many questions over the phone

My massage was okay. I have been going to a different place for years (which I love) but had a gift card here. Never again. It was really cold in the room. The air came on and was blowing right on me. The girl said it wasnt possible to turn it off. She talked the entire time. I couldnt relax.

Sadly I have been here for years and years and years. After my motorcycle accident I lost the left side of my brain and was finally able to make a phone call and try to schedule a time to meet a man who used to work on me. After 1 phone call, the woman who answered the phone was sadly no help. I’m sure they have the phone call recorded and could listen to the call. I asked her if the man Taylor was available to give me a message next week. She said that a someone named Taylor didn’t exist and I had to find someone else. I asked if he lost or quit his job, and she claimed that a woman named tayler has never existed. I had seen this man for over 4 years before this terrible phone call happened. She ended up getting upset with me, so I asked a simple question to talk with someone else who had any idea how to help. I hoped the company could be honest with a members question. She quickly said I wasn’t allowed to talk with another member and hung up the phone. I know there is an owner of the LLC. I pray that they will listen to this phone call, and stop having their workers provide this information to people who want a massage. It was a sad and depressing moment that I hope doesn’t happen to other members.

Of all the massage envy establishments in Utah Valley this one is consistently the best overall in both massage quality and customer service. I have never had a bad experience here and I have been a member for tenish years.

I had a really good experience in here, but the point is you choose a good massagist, otherwise you will waste money, since I really into the deep work, so I don’t like people just little touch my body seems like nothing. Remember to pick good one!!!!

I had an appointment to come in and when I showed up at the correct time, I was told I never had an appointment. They told me I must have scheduled it at another store, but I showed them my phone showing I talked to their store for a few minutes. The gal in charge said it isnt their fault that my appointment never got scheduled. They wanted to rebook my appointment for another day but I was in town for one day. They never apologized or anything. What a joke of a place.

This place is a rip-off, I had a gift card for $175 which they talked me into switching it to a membership, they just forgot to mention it expires. Thanks for taking my Father’s Day present and and depositing it into your bank account, smart! I wish I was cleaver enough to come up with a scam to screw over people, oh wait I’m not a thief.

Very explanatory about all the details for our treatment. Felt very comfortable the entire time, and even fell asleep! Loved everything about the experience.

I wasn’t impressed. My massage therapist didn’t massage... he pressed on the origins of the muscle, he didn’t massage my muscles as hoped for. He didn’t work on my neck as asked for a problem area, he stressed on my neck bones thinking it was a knot? I won’t go back. It wasn’t a relaxing environment for me. I won’t be going back.

Very good experience as my first time. Had Whitney who was excellent and focused on some pressure points I didnt know I had. Sore afterwards but the overall experience was pleasant. 2 days later feeling great.

Front desk was very nice, and I loved the girls up front. However, it was my very first time EVER getting a massage ( i let the massage therapist know), and when I went back with her, I was not explained to at all to whats normal, the two different ways of the massage ,sheet or lotion (found this out halfway through), how the massage would go or anything. She started the massage with a sheet over my back and had no idea why, i asked her why there was no lotion and she then explained the reasoning after getting that all figured out, she then had to leave room and i then had to adjust to where I could get the lotion massage. When in the massage I would tell her if it was too firm, and I would have to keep telling her this quite a few times over and over. The massage was not the best, but I did not want to insult her. I am not pleased with this. I am not sure if the massage therapist was new but I did not like my service.

Everything was great! I only gave a 4 because the massage wasn’t as good as I had previously experienced, BUT it was still very nice!

Great massage. Love that they are open Sundays! They have table warmers, quiet music, positive therapists, and the receptionist was SUPER kind and welcoming.

Worst Massage Envy in existence. GO TO MASSAGE GREEN INSTEAD!!!The customer service here is absolute trash, Ive never had so many consistent issues with a company in my life. They do nothing to remedy the situations that *they cause*. Ive had countless bad experiences at this location, but Ill limit it to the two worst ones for the sake of this post.My first awful experience was when instead of receiving a reminder phone call about my massage the day before, I received a call 50 MINUTES into when my massage was scheduled. At that point I had already missed it based on when they decided to call me to ask where I was. I didnt even have a chance to drive over to at least get half a massage or something. The receptionist told me she was going to charge me anyway despite not calling me to alert me that I was late. I asked why I wasnt called within 10 minutes of my appointment starting since that was protocol and she told me that they only call when the masseuse informs them their client isnt there. Basically, my masseuse purposely waited to tell the front desk that I hadnt arrived until my appointment was already over so that she could still get paid without having to do any work. This was confirmed by when the receptionist told me she would still be charging me since they needed to pay the masseuse. But also, the receptionist has a list of appointments and see who they checked in...so I think both were at fault. Ridiculous.My second awful experience was just a couple weeks ago. I had a massage scheduled with my usual massage therapist. I got a missed call from Massage Envy the day before my massage was scheduled. Since nobody left me a voicemail I expected that it was just the reminder phone call which is standard protocol. The next day I drove in the bad weather to Massage Envy and greet the receptionist, Kaylee. I tell her I have an appointment and she says, Oh, Jodi actually quit a week ago. I say, Ok, so did you re-schedule me with a new massage therapist? She says, No, we only have 3 therapists today. We tried to call you. I said, Yes, I received a missed call, however, nobody left me a voicemail, so how was I supposed to know my massage was canceled? She was pretty rude, never even apologized for THEIR MISTAKE. I just drove out of my way in bad weather, and they didnt offer up a simple apology for a situation that once again, they caused. Whats even more frustrating in my opinion, considering they knew that my masseuse had quit a week before my scheduled massage, nobody decided it would be important to get those appointments covered by another masseuse? The receptionist didnt think its important enough to leave me a quick and simple voicemail that my massage was canceled so I didnt drive out of my way for no reason? Kaylee didnt think it was rude enough that I braved the bad weather due to their mistake that she should say sorry for the miscommunication? So many components of this had to go wrong for me to show up to a non-existent appointment that had been scheduled for 6 weeks. Yet once again, they do not take responsibility, nor do they try to right their wrongs, alienating a consistent customer.On top of all this, I have e-mailed the location FOUR TIMES so that they can remedy the situation, and they still have not responded 11 days later. Absolutely ridiculous customer service. I will 100% be canceling my membership and will be convincing my boyfriend and immediate family members to cancel as well. I refuse to let anyone close to me give this company another penny. Im baffled at the utter disregard for loyal, paying customers.

Everyone was very nice. I had an amazing masseuse and now I feel amazing. From the moment I stepped in I felt relaxed.

Brian is great! He knows his practice very well and always helps to loosen my trouble areas! I highly recommend him!
