I own a built 2008 Subaru Impreza with a swapped STI block engine. Over 300k miles on the body and close to 150k on the engine and trans. Brian installed new brakes and slotted/drilled rotors and even replaced my radiator hose which was rotted out. He gets back to me quickly and is willing to explain in depth anytime I have questions. Brought in our Subaru that recently purchased from a used car lot. We knew the timing belt and water pump would need to be repaired and got a recommendation to come here. We also were having issues with the power steering pump and a check engine issue and needed an oil change as well. Brian was probably the nicest mechanic we have ever done business with. He ran into a few unlucky and unforeseen issues with the car and although he had it longer then we expected, it was out of his control and ours and we totally understood that. He communicated honestly with us and let us know what was going on and gave us recommendations going forward. He didnt charge us for the oil change and gas cap repair just out of courtesy for having the car for longer than expected, which he definitely didnt have to do but we really appreciated it. He is a perfectionist and will make sure your car is running perfectly before returning. Very fair price. Definitely recommend him and we will be using him in the future. MAHALO BRIAN!

His labor prices are very competitive and his parts prices are in line with what you see online for Subarus.I brought my car in for head gaskets but after pulling the motor, it turned out to need a lot more. Well, I have a 17 STI and Dan Perkins Subaru, I always brought the car to them.. and I will no longer bother with them... too many issues and they damaged the car on a few separate occassions. Lets see, damaged my interior, ean my car thru their “car scratch”, seems they were not doing all the things they charged for... I doubt they change the cabin air filter... but charged for it. Left the windshield washer cap off, and they cross threaded my lug when they installed my winter tires. Just had Brian replace it, thank God! He did a complete 36K service.. with proper fluids, Motul oil, Redline Differential fluids, K&N filters, Greedy Magnetic plugs for the Diff drain, Rotated tires, Brake fluids, etc... etc.. and I know it was done right. Price isn’t my peoblem, service and quality products are a must!! Dan Perkins uses garbage fluids and their techs are in too much a rush to care for your car... they are basically hacks... Brian from DarkSide is the only person I trust with my ride!
