Driver came and picked up a big garbage can at tyson omaha just yelling because i had my semi into unloading barely in his way. Just rammed trucks into garbage cans.

If I had the option to NOT add stars at all, they would not receive any. We went with Abes to support local and they are a complete joke. They have thrown away trash cans, 3 now to date in a years time, leave trash behind, THROW our existing trashcans in the alley instead of putting them in the spot they belong. Send us Late Notices when we dont even receive our FIRST statement to begin with. We will be switching services. Absolutely worthless.

Im REALLY getting tired of having to go all over my yard and pick up the trash cans that they just throw after emptying. Where do I send the bill for the new cans I have to buy because your drivers cant simply stand them up?? Completely unprofessional!!

We ended our service with Abes trash service today because we were tired of our driver leaving trash all over the place and leaving the carts in the middle of the street.

Have used Abes for several years at our business. When we bought our home on an acreage outside of the city we made the choice to use Abes for our residential sevice. HUGE mistake! We were told to have our can out by the street before 6am. We cant put our can out the night before because of critters that live in the open fields and trees.We follow their rules and yet sometimes our trash gets picked up early, other weeks its late, some weeks it doesnt come at all. When we call its always the same excuse, let me put you on hold while I contact the driver, Im sorry I couldnt get a hold of the driver, can we pick it up next week?When we say no, our can is full and we pay to have it picked up weekly the response is ok we will get someone out there and then a week goes by and our trash is never picked up.We once received the excuse, your street is the first pick up. Who cares if Im the first or the last pick up. I followed your rules, you took my money, do the job you said you would do. And DONT lie to your customers! Very unprofessional service!

I was with Abes 37yrs. When Omaha annexed our sub-division we stayed with Abes even through a few rate hikes because service was excellent. However, costumer service, civilityand tact no longer reflected the business and charm that made the service unique or I was comfortable with. Ill miss the drivers, as they willing did their job when l had a senior moment.5 Stars prior to a unnecessary stupid notice!

First, we get a letter stating that all trash needs to be in bags and nice and neat because of this hoax virus that 99.9% of people recover from, give me a break...But, we respectfully followed their rules...Then they pickup the trash and leave the cans scattered all over the yard...Is it that hard to put the cans back where you found them?? Also, they miss half the trash and ends up blowing all over the neighborhood!! Stay away from this company!

We have been loyal customers for over 30 years. In fact, we stayed with Abes when we were annexed into the city. For most of the time, the service has been great until the last few months. For several weeks in a row, not all the trash was picked up....bags and cardboard boxes left....and the trash cans (Abes containers) just thrown on the ground...sometimes into the street or blocking the sidewalk. If you check your records, you will find that we have always advised you if we have something that is not normal trash and have paid for the haul away of things.We are very disappointed that the service has gone downhill.

If you forget to pay a bill (which is pretty easy when the bill is only due quarterly and there is no online portal or payment system) they will not let you know until they threaten you with collections after 3 months.

Abes sent out a Covid 19 letter basically stating everything has to be in a bag for them to pickup. Even inside the can. But if we want we can PAY more for a second container now. No thanks. C&C picks up normally. We switched. Might I add your drivers and your service have no rhyme or reason to what they will or wont pickup. Multiple times Abes picked up extra and or large items from us. Furniture, construction debris etc........but the last time.....they simply pulled up looked at the trash and left it all. No call, no explanation no nothing. You cant have it both ways.

Abe’s used to be great. Service is now terrible. They pick up Yard Waste with the same truck that they pickup all other trash. They must be getting ready to close their doors as the city switches to new trucks and cans next year.

It may seem weird to make a review for a waste removal company. But I just wanted to say thank you to the driver who got out in the freezing rain to pick up a bag that fell out of our trash can instead of driving off.

Good customer service is a lost art in society today and my experience yesterday with Abes Trash Service does nothing to dispel that myth. I called for a question about billing and was greeted by an individual that couldnt have been more rude and indifferent that a long-time customer was on the other end of the phone. It was clear that I was a complete interruption in her day.After hanging up the phone, I immediately began looking at other options for trash service and learned quickly that no trash service company in Omaha has a very high rating with a significant number of reviews submitted.The actual trash service from Abes Trash Service has been good over the years but from a customer service standpoint, based on my own personal experience and those of the other reviews that I read, they appear to be satisfied with being the best of the worst. Such a missed opportunity considering that good customer service costs a company absolutely nothing but some intentionality from their employees.

ATS is great. Ive had interactions with the guys on the trucks and the office staff and everyone has represented the company well. I love that they make it easy to get large items picked up. All we have to do is call in advance and they schedule a truck to come by. We were recently annexed and are now serviced by Omaha, but were sticking with Abes because of there high-quality service.

We have called Abes trash service about their speeding trash truck going through our area many, many times. The truck just seems to go faster now. Sent emails also but nothing works! Abes does not care. Is it going to take an accident or a death to get the truck to SLOW DOWN!!!??? How about multiple speeding tickets??? Please address this situation management ... NOW!!

I have used Abe’s for YEARS! Both business and for my home. Last couple of months we’ve been missed. Thursday (our normal business pick up day) no pick up. Had three people at our shop to verify. No driver showed up. So, I call on Friday and ask if they were just behind. “Let me check the drivers book.” “looks like he was there to pick up and a van was blocking the dumpster.” (We have a small lot and had Abe’s put a note on the account to simply call and someone will move the truck.) no one called. What is the worst LIE is, is that the driver said “I went inside the shop and no one was there.” Seriously? He said he walked into my shop, but no one was there. Do they really expect me to believe that? That I would leave the shop unlocked if we were not there? Instead of me getting upset at the blatant lie, I simply gave them a choice. I said “I need my dumpster emptied by the end of the day (Friday). If it’s not picked by the end of the day, go ahead and schedule to pick up the dumpster and close my account with you.” Well, here it is Saturday morning and no trash was collected. Called the office this morning and talked with the same person. Didn’t try to apologize or keep my business that we’ve had for 10 years. So they lost both my residential business and my commercial business. Do they care? Nope, I’m just another fly on the dumpster.

After constantly having issues with the city’s trash service we broke down and got Abe’s. Best decision we’ve made! The first pick up, our neighbors had some work done on their house and one of the workers parked right in front of our bin. I figured they would just skip us since the car made it impossible to get to but the Abe’s employee moved our bin so they could get to it! Then this morning we didn’t move our bin to the curb but when they drove by and saw our bins up by the house the driver got out checked our bin and emptied it for us! He definitely went above and beyond for us and we are very thankful! Highly recommend this company!

I was calling around for trash service for our new house and I had the pleasure of talking with Valerie here at Abe’s. After she gave me their prices she checked to see if the city picked trash up there. She came back and told me the city does pick up there and that if I wanted I could use Abe’s but the trash service was included in my property taxes. Long story short I appreciate her honesty and even though will be using the city trash I will spread the word of her honesty to others.

Great company! Always friendly on the phone. They always help with whatever our needs are! We have been customers since November 1994. The guys are awesome when picking up garbage and when we need something extra (like a roll off dumpster when moving) they deliver it right away!

Never had a problem in 11 years. Great service. Will pick up most anything you put out. Anything big just call they will help.

Ive had this service for about 6 months now as a first time home owner. They have thrown away several personal 35+ gal trash cans, that I was told and ENCOURAGED to have. Since they have stolen my trash can I put yard waste in 50gal trash bags(that ripped because duh not gonna take ripped trash bags neatly placed next to their 96 gal trash tote) I was told when starting service that extra personal cans and trash bag were okay. Guess this is how they scan you into buying another tote from them. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.

DO NOT USE. Extremely rude staff and hands down the worst, most dishonest and worthless garbage service of any area company. I am not one to often post a harsh review, but believe me this place deserves it. Time consuming and frustrating experience all the way around, compounded by the manager (the owners son) being ridiculously arrogant and profane. Use any company instead of this one. I am a disabled veteran. They took advantage of me and they will likely take advantage of you as well. I will close this review as I began.....DO NOT USE.

Ive only been a customer of Abes for a month and from what I can tell you from my interactions, this is a Best in Class operation. The phone folks are personable, courteous and knowledgeable. The truck drivers are friendly and respectful. What more could you ask of a garbage removal service? NOTHING! Bravo to the staff at Abes.Mark

Blair pick up was late I had put the bin back. And about 4 hours after pick up time I hear the truck. The gals/guys (sometimes both ride), had gotten the bin, emptied it and put it back. Kudos to you from the Tolberts on 14th Street. Stay safe and warm. No matter the weather you are so good with helping.

I wanted to write and give props to the man that picks up my trash. Last Friday (02/03/17) was a really rough morning. I had a child get sick overnight and was up many times. As you can imagine, the morning routine was altered as we were all running late to get out the door. In the mix of rushing to get kids out the door on time and what not, I completely forgot to take my bins to the curb. I was sitting at my desk at work when I had the unsettling remembrance that I neglected to take the bins to the curb. It was a bad deal too because we had cleaned out closets over the weekend prior and they were both filled to the max and would have had no room for another weeks worth of trash! I brushed off the thought of dealing with it and went on with my day. When I returned home from work that night I was astonished to see my trans bins not at the end of the driveway, but on the side of my house on the sidewalk. I could see the marks in the grass showing they were rolled down the side of my house and emptied. I couldnt believe it. What a great thing to come home to! This is proof there really is still faith and humanity in the world. It is a simple gesture, but one that I am incredibly thankful for. That driver could have driven right by my house and kept on going. After all, it was my mistake that I didnt place them at the curb. Instead, he chose to stop, walk up the side of my house and roll them down and empty them.What a great driver working for a wonderful company that the competition cant touch with their prices. Very reliable, they come at the same time every week. My bill dropped in half by replacing Papillion Sanitation with Abes for the exact same service. Plus if you have a large item to be picked up Abes charges less.

So running around the house this morning and hear a horn sound outside...dont think much of it and again a horn sounds... I look out the window and the truck from Abes is waiting in the street. My garage door was open and the driver stopped to see if we wanted our trash picked up! Yes he stopped, honked, honked again and then waited for me to come outside and tell him we were good this week.Been with Abes for years and will be for years to come! Thank you for making my day!!!

Generally reliable and easy to work with. However, my trash was not picked up on its normal day. Its the day following with still no pickup. Its been collected every Tuesday morning for several years. I called this in and was told I only get service every other week. Not sure whats going on.

I would like to report a driver attempting to hit me with his truck today while I was at work.11/16/18Driver pulled up behind my car, almost touching the bumper. I was unable to pull forward due to traffic in the drive through. I proceeded to walk into the building to retrieve my next delivery order and he began blaring his horn and yelling at me. I proceeded to go into the building and the driver shifted to reverse and hit the gas in an attempt to hit me.

I had used the city of Omahas trash pick up, but theyre the worst on the planet and the trash cans and garbage clutters the street when they are responsible and they have too many rules. I switched to Abes and I can tell you they are like nigh and day! Abes actually picks up ALL the trash and it isnt either cluttered or messy when done and the canisters are lined up and dont block the driveway either. They are the most reasonable and responsible trash pickup company in the Omaha area! And, they are by far the very best! I cant recommend them enough - even if you already have Omahas service!

Great customer service, they are always friendly and willing to help you. After the all the snow storms of this past winter Abe’s was the first ones to pick up the trash, while my neighbors had their trash sit outside for a week and a half. They even stop by your house twice to make sure they got everything.

I was very impressed that they went out of their way to grab our recycling when I forgot to put it on the curb. Anytime Ive contacted the office, theyve been kind and very helpful!

Very reliable, ive used for years and will continue to, i moved to a new house and i was able to keep the same service, and it started at the new house uninterupted

Worst service imaginable. and, when calling in to discuss, their staff deflects and blame someone else. FIVE times this winter they have elected not to pick up my garbage on scheduled day. FIVE. switching immediately, which should have happened long ago. Filing a BBB complaint.

I called to ask for information about furniture pick up and with in five minutes the receptionist anticipated my needs provided me with detailed information and scheduled a pick up , Outstanding customer service!

Did not pick up yard waste 3 weeks in a row. 1st time they sent someone out the next day to pick up. 2nd time they said it says they did pick it up but told me to sit it out the next week. 3rd time, it didnt get picked up again. Called to cancel and got no apology. What a hassle!

If I could put no stars I would. One of the trucks backed into my wifes vehicle. Rather than own up they denied any wrong doing. Dealt with Monte, rather than face the facts he decides to continue to deny any wrong doing. Even though all the evidence points to the contrary. On top of that no one at the business will give me their insurance info to let them decide. If youre not guilty why not give me that? Will never do business with crooks like this and will share my experience with anyone I encounter. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!!!!

Will never use Abe’s service again recommend them to anyone else. If you breach your contract without the proper notice at the proper date you are stuck paying for the whole next year wether or not you have them pickup the container or not. Even if you are relocating or moving. Another side not is they are not that friendly in the office or in the field

Rude and Unreliable. They missed 4 weeks of pickups in a row, then told me I would have to wait up to 30 days to have my can removed. Papilion Sanitation was cheaper and far more pleasant to work with - there are only 2 abes cans left in the whole neighborhood.

We live at 188th n Pacific and today I was coming home and saw the trash truck down the street. I of course forgot trash day n was mad n taking my groceries in when I heard my trash can rolling down the drive ! These two came and got my trash can and emptied it ! I was shocked and thankful and they said they were coming by anyway and saw my can up here. Thank you guys SO much!

Moved out of Sarpy County and into Douglas, so we no longer use abes since the city pays for trash removal...however when we did use abes, they were amazing! If i forgot to put my can on the street, they would come up and grab it! I truly was bummed to have lost them after our move! Top notch service!

Picking up garbage isnt rocket science. And theyve figured out a way to screw it up AND charge me for it. Charging extra for ancillary services such as yard waste and recycling and they dont show up to pick it up 35-40 percent of the time is poor service. Plus, they will take my neighbors yard waste for free. Thanks Abe.

Picked up one of their roll offs and dropped trash all over and didnt pick it up. Took them 3 days to swap a dumpster.

Im a paying customer in lavista, ne for the last going on 5 years I have had Abes services and my yard waste and tree branches I have trimmed and put in my dumpsters they have taken every time now when I am out of town one time they refused to take it and tell me its got to be in bundles on the curb not in the dumpsters, didnt notify me of changes in there policy, very rude and poor customer service and business practices there driver I see all the time doing favors for other customers in same area with yard waste and bigger branches in there dumpsters then mine were, very lazy employee in my opinion , they will be losing my business and I will be reporting the to better business bureau for the unethical behavior

Today my husband told me about a driver parking behind his car while he was at work (delivery), then honking and yelling at him when he got out of the car to get another order. When he was walking behind the truck to go inside, the driver shifted to reverse and hit the gas, apparently trying to hit him with the truck.

If the idiot would stop throwing one of my trash cans itd be 5 stars. They have broke 2 so far.
