The Mission on A mission transition on in to a home at a time. Mission on A TLC level in up giving people back there confidence, Sobriety an a chance live righteously. They never turn away people who are in.need . The Mission is full with good deeds. love it..

Very Helpful staff with good attitudes

At the most humble place in the greater Omaha area, you will find a selection of items to meet your needs. The staff and volunteers at the Mission are welcoming and open to any/all walks of life. Whether youre volunteering or looking for assistance, youre in the right place. Keep your head high, dont lose faith. Just know God is bigger than any earthly situation you may face.

Ultimately my experience was amazing. I was so scared to go but it was welcoming and provided everything I needed.However, I was kicked out without warning and had no option to talk to someone other then Assistant Director who made the decision. She was constantly treating people like children and rude whenever asked for help. She had apologized at one point saying to a class of us that she was overworked. She also commented on how she was raised in the foster system and how her personal life had been hard growing up giving her a horrible anger. She commented on how shes turned to faith to try to help. Lets be honest, she clearly shows shes still a bitter and anger person. She has kicked other mothers out on the street for petty reasons with no warning and any time her decision or accusations are proved wrong she gets extremely angry and defensive.She needs to go through the program shes kicking people out of.I later asked her to write a letter for court so they knew that relapse was not the reason for being kicked out. She over exaggerated the letter saying my behavior was an on going issue. All because her ego was hurt that not many people agreed with her decision to put me out.I really dont think someone with little ability to control her emotions should work in a leadership position in human services.This place is amazing other then the immature staff running the facility.

I went as a visitor and found good and bad. The ministry is busy and clean. I was welcomed by some of the guests there but felt a bit insulted by some of the staff.. Gods blessings upon this ministry..

A fantastic organization that helps the homeless and near homeless. The volunteers and staff are helpful and kind. We always donate clothes and household goods here. Highly recommend you support them!

The Open Door Mission shows the love, grace and the power of transformation of Jesus Christ. The staff is wonderful to the families and single people that are of need of food and shelter, not only do they do these services, they offer programs to those trying to heal, trying to overcome bad habits and comfort.Great place for volunteers also, lots of churches partake in helping out and donating goods to the open door mission. The open door mission is God sent and I hope more places like this can open up around the U.S and around the world.

They give you food to eat but if you go across this one part of the building today room where they have the TVs with their food their quickly to borrow you out for 3 or 7 days according to Pats rules or is Siena open door mission rules its their food but theyre quickly to borrow you for 3 to 7 or 30 days if you go into the date room with their food

What a great place to go to when you need help...

They are not Christian. Their management blatantly tells lies about people that they dont like. They lied about me stating that I had a criminal record when I have Never been arrested. After their mens shelter manager lied about my alleged criminal record, he kicked me out specifically solely for my criminal record. Ive never been arrested for anything. Exodus 11:20.Their program director Steve has two completely different personalities, one in front of a camera and a different one in person. He also has no integrity.

I stayed here for 8 months and participated in the recovery program. I stumbled on the reviews while looking for their zipcode. Anyway I was shocked at some reviews. This facility does everything they can to accommodate individuals ,you have to remember they serve people from all different walks of life and with different issues. I dont think people realize how difficult that would be. But I do know they offer everything you may need, food clothing a place to sleep, clothes, person items, and the word of Jesus If that is what you desire.this place does a great job things are what you want to make them ultimately though. Great job to Candace and her team you certainly helped me to find Jesus and change my life around. Im sorry not everyone sees the great things you do for so many on a daily basis.

ODM saved my life literally and figuratively. Ive had the opportunity to learn and experience the Gospel. I now know about the love, hope, and grace of Jesus Christ.The staff at the Lydia House-ODM will love you until you can love yourself.

Only nice to you if your a visitor. Try to ask them a question but dont tell them you dont live there and watch the difference in the way they talk to you

Thetr needs to be changes with the times. Fridays & Saturdays they open the psntry at 930 AM tell closing which is at 5 PM. Really am thankful for this place

My daughters Girl Scout troop volunteered their time to make over 850 sandwiches for the needy. The staff were amazing to the girls and even though they worked hard, they had a great time.

Very holistic approach to helping people. Free food, shelter, life changing programs, clothing, counseling, etc. Worth a try for sure.

When you sign paper work to become part of their emergency shelter, the only way you can be accepted is if you sign a piece of paper stating you give the open door mission to use any and all body parts they want in a medium and basically your signing your own body over to The Open Door Mission as their property for the rest of your life not exact but close enough...... Does anyone know what a medium is!!??? Cause I sure do..... The Open Door Mission is a sick religious cult with a double meaning for what they advertise......and they dont help people in need with anything they have financial access to...they refuse to serve God as the Bible says....they dont even feed you on the Lydia side..no breakfast but lunch and dinner on the mens side if your lucky... There is children there!!!!!!! I pray Lucifer shows his wrath for the employees and owners of that falsely advertised profiting organization that is pointless and is no help to the unfortunate. The blond haired pro-claimed volunteer that works at the front desk on the Lydia side is not a volunteer but in fact has been working there for over 5 years. She was probably convicted of manslaughter or something similar I assure u this isnt a joke....she is a ex-con and did the work release program for prison 5years ago.....I used to watch her walk back to the release program with her inmate clothing on....this is facts cause i seen it with my own two eyes and I was just there almost a month ago and seen that psyhco again.

We dropped off several clothing items left over from a garage sale. The guys were very helpful, courteous and everything looked very organized.

Dropped off clothing and the donation doors were locked. Had a rope across entrance and left them there, as did someone else who donated.

Great for helping people find God

Theirs a staff member that had worked there for years. She very disrespectful. I know several women and I have reported her. No disaplinary action has happened. Ive been doing they domestic violence for a while and I was treated so badly at open door that I rather sleep in my car until the weather get unbearable before I go back.

Theyll help you if you need it and follow their rules. Religious based.
