Absolutely horrible experience. DO NOT GO HERE. They do not care for their clients well being. Manager/owner Dawn doesn’t know how to run the business. Extremely disrespectful toward clients. Very cheap and stingy. The women handling the laser treatments are supposed to be REGISTERED NURSES and they ARENT... they lied. My armpit hair keeps coming back. This place should honestly be shut down. Go ANYWHERE BUT HERE. Don’t waste your time or money. As a client, I felt like I was just another person walking in... if my appointment went any longer than the time allowed in the slot ... the fake “nurse” would get in trouble by Dawn and she showed it in front of me, the client. Completely unprofessional. I truly don’t know how this place is still in business while being run by someone so rude, cheap, and disrespectful.I wish I could say that this is from only one experience ... but I came in for 6 treatments. This was my first time for an oxygen facial and I wasnt sure what to expect. I have sensitive skin and I didnt want to break out. My whole experience was very pleasant from beginning to end. I was so relaxed and my specialist was very attentive to my requests. I would highly recommend BodyBrite and I will definitely go back again. They have great hours and are very flexible with appointments. The girls do a great job of explaining the process and how the hair removal treatments work, answered all of my questions and were not condescending about it all! This put me at ease about something that I had never done before and made me feel better about my investment.

I took my sixteen year old daughter in to inquire about underarm laser removal. They were upfront and honest saying that they recommend waiting. I appreciated their honesty and explanation of why she should wait. They arent just trying to take your money and they truly want you to be happy with the results!

I absolutely LOVE body bright, I originally bought a living social deal, and ended up buying more sessions to finish my laser hair removal treatments. The staff is super friendly and always return your phone calls. I do my sessions with Jennifer and absolutely love her and her personality. Specially doing a brazilian treatment it is already embarrassing to get that personal with someone; Jennifer made it easy to not be nervous and I enjoy my sessions with her. I would suggest it to everyone who has any desire in getting laser hair removal ! Also I have only had 3 sessions and notice a HUGE difference already.

I had laser hair removal with Jennifer who did an excellent job. However, I was a little put out when I was told at the reception desk that tips were strongly encouraged. I have worked in healthcare for 35 years and the mantra among professionals is that tips or gifts of any kind are strictly prohibited. One does not tip their nurse, aide, doctor, dentist, therapist, or laser hair removal specialist. While I was given a good product at a fair price, I will not go back as long as this is their practice.

Ive been to BodyBrite for two sessions so far on the back of my neck, and I have to say Im very impressed. After just the first session, my barber asked if I had shaved my neck before coming in - there was barely any hair growth. Im currently at 3 weeks past my second session at BodyBrite, and it basically feels like peach fuzz on the back of my neck.Id guess it will take 4 sessions to completely stop my hair from growing on the back of my neck, which is awesome. Even if I miss a haircut appointment, the hairline will still look clean back there. Nothing worse than neck hair poking out over the back of the collar of a dress shirt or a suit!As a guy, I felt a little odd going to a hair removal place that I personally had assumed was intended for women. The staff greeted me right as I walked in, and to my surprise, there was another dude in the lobby waiting for his treatment. I also noticed that they have privacy screens up on the windows for those of you that prefer a certain level of confidentiality.The treatment itself was quick, easy, and painless. I was led into a large treatment room by their nurse, and sat on a really cool chair/lounge thing. Once you don some really fancy shades, I think my whole neck took maybe 10-15 zaps, and maybe a total of 5 minutes. Much quicker than I thought it would have taken, which is great. As far as the feeling goes, I wouldnt say that I have a high pain tolerance, but it didnt really feel like much at all. It certainly didnt hurt. And, once the session is over & they put some lotion and sunblock on it, there werent any residual effects - it wasnt warm, sore, dry, or anything.Very impressed, and cant wait to go back!

I made an appointment several weeks ago for laser hair removal. I received a reminder via text two days before my appointment to which I confirmed. I received a phone call two hours before my appointment saying I never confirmed (lie #1) and asked if I could come in a half hour earlier than my appointment. I called back and said that I would not be able to come in until my initial time. The woman said that wasnt going to work because it was going to push 5 other people back (lie #2).I told her I didnt understand what was going on. She told me to hold on when she proceeded to have a conversation with an employee and I overheard her saying, should I just tell her the truth? and are you okay if Im honest with her. When she got back on the phone questioned her about her conversation. She told me she didnt know how to tell me that the person scheduled to complete my laser hair removal knew me and was uncomfortable performing the service. Had she told me this in the first place I would have been happy to reschedule. When I asked to speak with a manager she informed me she was the OWNER. I asked if she made it a habit of lying to her clients to which she replied, ugh, whatever and hung up on me. So, needless to say I will not be going to Body Brite for any services. I will make sure that my story is known to all who will listen.

I had a few questions about the process and tried calling BodyBrite, but unfortunately no one picked up and I did not leave a message; however, within a few minutes, BodyBrite was calling me back which I thought was great. Friendly and knowledgeable, my questions were answered and scheduling was quite easy (they also offer email appointment reminders). Ive been there for two sessions now, both times with Laura and I couldnt be more pleased with her professionalism and warm personality. The front desk staff also mirrors a similar energy.Ive been to numerous spas and clinics in the Boston area (where Im from) that offer similar services, and I can honestly say my experience here has been more positive and overall easier. The only downside to BodyBrite Omaha for me personally is the location since I live downtown, but otherwise, I am quite happy I stumbled upon this business!

A couple months ago I had a consultation and my first treatment at BodyBrite. I have since had my 2nd treatment and I am very happy with the results already.First off, I can not believe how affordable it is. $49 a session! (Some hair removal facilities offer financing. Yikes!) And secondly, the treatments I am having (armpits) only take 10-15 minutes for the whole appointment. So it is very easy for me to run over on my lunch break.The staff is very professional and easy to talk to. If you are thinking of permanent hair removal, I would recommend giving BodyBrite a try.My personal experience:During the actual appointment, they zap the hair follicles with a pulsed light. Each arm pit takes about 5-6 pulses. If I had to describe the feeling. I would say that it feels like being snapped with a rubber band. I am not going to say that it is painless but it is not painful either. For the first couple of days after both of my treatments I had to shave about every day. After the first week, I only had to shave about every 5 days and I can definitely notice that the hair growth is much less. I have my 3rd treatment in a few weeks. I cant wait till I no longer have to shave my armpits!

AVOID! DO NOT GET LASER/IPL AT BODYBRITE!I won an auction for several services/treatments at BodyBrite and one was for IPL. I previously had a vampire facial by a medical doctor at a medical facility so I understood the intensity involved. Bodybrite’s policy is to conduct a pre-test to determine how your skin reacts to the laser. I have some age/sun spots on the back of my hand so Kaitlyn (the nurse) decided that would be a good testing spot. Kaitlyn said she was going to apply the laser a little longer to the age/sun spots. Then she moved the laser down my hand and applied the laser to another age spot. The next day I left to go on vacation. After my vacation, I returned to BodyBrite to show them that deep wounds had formed in those 2 areas. Although Dawn Rubek owner/manager was very accommodating, the damage was done. I now have two permanent scars: a noticeable 1-inch scar on the back of my hand and a smaller round scar.My point in writing this is to warn others to AVOID BODY BRITE and any other establishment where nurses are performing laser treatments/procedures. They might be “trained” or “qualified” or have a “certificate” but it is insufficient based on the results I received. What if this had happened to my face? In my opinion, only a medical doctor should perform these treatments. So, please seek a higher standard of care.

This place uses an IPL Machine NOT an actual laser which is a downgrade to the Candela lasers as IPL is more for acne, skin rejuvenation etc. IPL WILL NOT help w laser hair removal of dark coarse hair. After 3 treatments I should see some kind of hair reduction and I have seen ZERO results. Do your research before making any type of appt for this as I wish I would have. The variety of lasers all offer different benefits as this facility should do their research before misinforming clients. Luckily all that is lost is my matched $99 Groupon rate that Dawn refused to refund- only tried to get me to buy more packages. Dawn was very unprofessional and even hung up on me after I tried discussing w her the different type of lasers so w that said I would not even recommend this place for any type of service also based off of the quality of customer service.Lady named Shara there though- one of the techs was awesome and I hope she moves on to better opportunities!!

I was burned on the second visit. I yelped on 4 of the initial zaps so the tech turned the intensity down. When I got home I saw immediate scabbing on those 4 probe length areas. Two of the scabs fell off the next day and were fairly deep open wounds then bled for two weeks; also had enlarged lymph nodes in my groin. It scarred and shows since its on the outside of the bikini line. Also This was right before a cruise so it ruined my vacation since I couldnt wear swim suit bottoms!! Initially the staff was concerned and eager to return my payment(I paid in full) but had to verify with corporate. They decided not to return my first treatment since I didnt get burned then, or the second for my underarms. (Im thinking...wow Im being nice by not suing and this is what you say to me?! Im leaving with zero hairloss due to incomplete treatments and now out $200!!) anyways, I got $500 of it back but had also purchased a Groupon. 6 months later I finally get my money back all because bodybrite kept pushing it off. You would think that they would have cared more after having ruined a palm sized area of my body. They have never cared to check on my burns either, and I feel that I was nice and forgiving during each email in pursuit of my refund (thinking kindness gets you further...jokes on me). I was not going to write a bad review but given that its March and I just now received (most of) my money...Im pissed and I think others should be warned. If Google ever lets me attach a photo of my burns I will put them out there.

I went to Sara for IPL therapy and while it is not an enjoyable process, Sara made sure anytime it started to hurt too much I iced the area before she started up again. Everyone seems very nice and professional and prices are reasonable!

I bought a Groupon for the laser hair removal, and called to schedule an appointment. When I called, they were booked about 4 weeks out, which was fine...I knew theyd probably be backed up because of the Groupon deal. However, they didnt tell me I needed to grow out my hair for a week until the night before my appointment. Now my Groupon is expired and I never got to use it because of their lack of communication. Since this review nobody has contacted me.

I only had one laser treatment and I can tell a difference already. I may have to change this rating to 5 stars if it works.

I had a series of laser hair removal several years ago at another location, and as they often do, a few hairs began to grow back in over the last year or so. The package of three IPL that I purchased from BodyBrite was perfect for a touchup and I am once again hair free. The only thing I didnt care for was having to let the hair grow out some before each treatment which made me a little self conscious for the week or two prior to the appointment - this is just due to the laser they use, and I wasnt used to that process (the type of treatment I had prior you could keep it shaved).The staff is professional and friendly, they are flexible w/ scheduling, and the facility is very clean.Bonus, when I was in for my last treatment it was during my birthday month so I got a free treatment to an area of my choice, and they just added it on to my current appointment. That is great customer service!While I cannot attest to how effective the IPL is for full hair removal starting from scratch, I do recommend BB for followup/touch-ups because that is what I used them for.

I am 4 sessions in for IPL hair removal treatments at Body Brite, and I am already having great results. I hardly ever have to shave my underarms and the growth is now very fine. The hair growth in my bikini area has also slowed considerably. All of my sessions have been with Darci Ekstrom. She is incredibly kind, compassionate and funny, and her calming presence immediately puts me at ease and completely minimizes any self-consciousness I may feel. She also goes out of her way to minimize any physical discomfort. Everyone at the office has been kind to me, and they have never kept me waiting longer than a few minutes. I highly recommend the IPL treatments with Darci.
