I had written a principal only payment and was written on check in memo. The teller had asked if it was principal only. She applied it as a regular payment which was not the proper application. Be nice to have staff do what theyre instructed to do

Spent more than 10 minutes walking around the building in the cold, looking for an entrance. All the doors were locked with signs saying No entry, and none had useful guidance on how to find a working entrance. The actual entrance also said No entry. What a horrific customer experience. The banker chuckled about my experience and the fact that everybody was apparently having this trouble. Nobody seemed to care or have any desire to do anything... Like put up a sign with instructions.

As I sit here typing this review there are tears blurring my eyesight, streaming down my cheeks, I have never been so shaken, terrified, or felt this level of panic! The customer service I received from this institution this weekend has been shocking, pathetic, callous and inhume. Animals being taken to slaughter are shown more concern, understanding, compassion and humane treatment than anything I received from the customer service department of this institution!

While CS reps seem to be cordial, they do not follow up. Not completely their fault. They use a call center that takes calls, they have no personal or professional email accounts associated with the bank as to be able to connect that way or leave a paper trail. All my transactions of customer care is done through the phone, if their system is down at the time, you will be asked to call back at another time. ( Already had a 5-10 min wait time to start with to just get to the nice lady, who unfortunately could not help me) What was my problem? Problem was that I needed a mortgage statement to do a new financing on another home, since I auto-pay my mortgage on line, the paper statements that come are reviewed and get destroyed. I was looking for one to be emailed to me so I could fwd onto the new Mortgage company I was working with. Or at least be able to add the mortgage account to my current login account with FNBO, (credit card), but despite the recommendation of the CS rep, that option wasnt possible as well bc the website has no ability to input this, other than a credit card, so not for mortgage accounts. I have read the reviews online and frankly am slightly dismayed at the low ratings. This doesnt seem to be their fault, but like any large organization these are things that fall through the cracks. The demand is too large for the small amount of personnel to handle the needs. Sorry, but I can only give a rating of 2 stars.

THIS BANK IS THE MOST UNSAFE BANK I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. THE SAFETY DEPOSIT BOXES ARE NOT SAFE. PEOPLE ARE RUDE AT THE LA VISTA BRANCH AND THE SHADOW LAKE BRANCH. WROTE A CHECK TO SOMEONE BUT DID NOT SIGN IT, BUT SOMEHOW THE PERSON WAS ABLE TO CASH IT. WHEN ASKED THE BANK BANKER SAID I DONT KNOW. THE DEBIT CARDS ARE NOT SAFE EITHER THEY WILL LET ANY TRANSACTION GO THROUGH WITHOUT VERIFICATION EVEN INTERNATIONAL TRANSACTION WHEREAS ANY OTHER BANK MAKE YOU VERIFY. CREDIT CARDS WITH THEM ALSO NOT SAFE. SOME USED THE CREDIT CARD FOR $25 TOLD THEM I DID NOT USE IT CAN I DISPUTE IT SAID NO. GO TO ANY OTHER BANK BUT NOTTHIS BANK.

I have had a checking account with First National Bank of Omaha for nearly two decades, and have had an excellent experience in all respects. Their online banking is very useful and I love using the new app to deposit checks without even having to go to an ATM! Customer service usually answers my call with a real person, and within 15 seconds to boot! I could not be happier with FNBO and I highly suggest you try them out for yourself.

Well, thank you for messing up my credit score and not getting your bug fixed as promised and costing me money now. Not that Great Big Small Bank. Seriously disappointed. During waiting time to sign the refi, they froze the original loan and disabled the option to make payments. Then happily reported it as delinquent. Loan officer said that it will be fixed in 5 days. Corporate didnt believe her at first, but she already had another client with the same issue. Now they cost me money... Well, it has been almost 30 days, one of my ccs lowered the limit and raised the rates already. Was promised it gets fixed 2 weeks ago. Then one week ago. Still, nothing has been fixed today.7-24-19 First National responded with the cookie cutter response on the reviewAs of today, the issue has still not been resolved. Several emails saying that they have it fixed but the damage is still on my report.

I have a checking account, and its 100% free. No maintenance fees, no fees to walk in and talk to someone, no fees for doing your banking online, no hidden or sneaky fees for anything! If you are looking for a bank - consider switching like I did.

I have been using FNBO for checking, savings, and credit card for years and have had no problems. I have had no problem paying my credit card online, despite changing card numbers due to fraud and address changes.I havent noticed any mistakes financially on my accounts and dont have any complaints.

My personal opinion is: The two times I called customer service in 7 years...one person was kind and knowledgeable and the next time they yelled at me for asking questions about a 12.00 interest charge. At that point I had closed and paid off my account in full a month and a half before that, too.I feel that this place must be hurting in some way and they are stressed about that fact. If I treated my clients they way they do...I would not have a job. I am personally glad to be out of this institution. They obviously did not appreciate the fact that I paid faithfully every month,on time and often paid more than required for 7 years. They have forgotten that even the smallest customer has helped build their business and is paying into a portion of their salaries and their reputation. Being kind costs nothing. Human Capital is a powerful company asset...because people share with others their experiences in an effort to save someone else time and stress that none of us need nor deserve.

I have had my account with First National for years. And every year my app somehow resets my password. I never change it and have it written down in my phone to double check. Completely rude, and condescending.

I am very pleased with FNBO, They have given me a line of credit that no other bank would. I do not have a problem with interest rates for the simple fact that I pay my credit cards if full every month. Credit cards are not designed to be used as credit. Bank loans are designed for that purpose. If you use credit cards as cash, as they should be, you will have no problems with FNBO.

Have been paying my credit card account on time for the last 2 years. I forgot to make a timely payment because of an unintentional oversight. I received a letter 2 weeks after the due date telling me my card had been suspended. 3 days later I received a letter saying that, by the way, they had reviewed my credit report (FICO 733) and reduced my credit limit. I just happened to be refinancing a mortgage with another lender and am using the equity to pay the remaining balance on this account and close it!

Customer service at the branches I have been to is friendly and helpful. As Judy says, sometimes (in the middle of the night), certain services are not available. I have been credit card holder for 5 years and then stole my social security funds that is used as payment to the card and reduced by credit limit despite being loyal for 5 years and make payment on time and never over the limit and pay more than the minimum payment and gave me congrats and recognition whenever i received a credit line increase then stab me in the back refuse to restore my credit limit to the highest amount and restore my APR to the original after giving proof that every credit card in my name has been paid in full and on time and never over the limit and pay my rent on time and utilities on time for 13.5 years and that im terminally ill and dying and after reducing my credit limit left me NO NO money to live on for 2 weeks and i need food with my medications and still need to pay other bills but cant because they stole my money and left me NO money to live on. stay away from FNBO. __ update, after filing complaint with consumer financial protection bureau and having their assistance and filing a dispute i continue to get the same generic response which is my score. the bank wont budge in any slight fashion of compromise with me the loyal customer cardholder for 5 yrs. i repeat stay away from this bank. its about greed and the valued loyal customer, me, holds NO value to the bank. i display NO risk as alleged by the bank. how many other cardholders in USA have never gone over their credit limit. how many have paid their payment on time in USA. ive put forth hard work so that payments are on time and i never go over the limit. this NOT enter into the banks decision and holds NO value to the bank. i will find another bank to business with and appreciates my loyalty and hard work on the account.

First National Bank of Omaha is one of the worst banks to deal with locally. I used to have a car loan with them years ago and if it was 10 days past the due date they would call you non stop. I had a family member recently go through a divorce and had to file a bankruptcy. Had a small line of credit with the bank and after they filed, First National said they have 10 days to find a new bank account or they were closing it out. Ive never heard of a bank doing that. All the Lauritzens care about is the almightly dollar.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE getting out of their contract!I was grandfathered into using Tsys Merchant Solutions when they purchased the original processor I signed up with. The Tsys salesman talked me into continuing to use them, even though they were expensive. When I finally found a cheaper provider, Tsys revealed that I was locked into a multi-year contract, obligating me to pay for months that I didnt want.THEN, two different reps lied telling me that I could get out for one price when they ended up charging me for much more. FINALLY I had to fight with a manager who claimed I was obligated by the small print to pay whatever they said I owed.USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Worst monthly experience ever! You have changed the URL for paying personal credit cards at least four or five times since I have had my have had the rewards VISA card. I get a paperless statement, but no link to log in to the correct site for the bank - you have several.Your Customer Representatives have treated me as though I were a criminal trying to break into my own account. I have had to change passwords so many times that I am actually back to my original one!!!I am trying to pay you - but you make that as difficult as possible by not putting a link on my monthly statement that takes me to the correct URL to make the payment. As soon as possible I will pay this card off and close the account. The effort each month is frustrating and just plain not worth the trouble.I am adding to my review of one month ago and advising that things are no better this month than last. I will be visiting my bank that issued the card and cancelling it. I will find another bank that dare more about their customers than the number of products they have to juggle to provide service. The CRs Jessica and Brian were, as usual when I called defensive rather than listening to the issues I have, one being that the one site that you pay one of their oh so many products on does not even indicate it is the place to pay a credit card payment. Both sites they lists as the place to pay on-line do not allow you to pay on line! This bank will fail just like Washington Mututal failed. They have no clue how to deal with customers and indicate they are so busy as the reason that I again spent 45 minutes waiting to talk to the person I asked for when I forewarned them I had an appointment to be to at a very specific time. I was virtually on hold and when a supervisor came on the line when I asked to talk with a VP of customer relations I had to tell him time was up - I had to leave immediately for the appointment I told them I had forty-five minutes earlier. There is no way with words to express my over the top frustration and total disgust with their business practices. I worked for Ernst & Young as a consultant for 25 years. Had I acted like their employees with our customers I would not have lasted 25 minutes. I hope someone from First National of Omaha bothers to read this and give me a call. I have many ideas that would quick fix some of the most obvious problems, one being putting the correct heading on their web advertising for paying the bill! Letting customers know easily where to pay the bill is vital to staying in business. No income no business.

I always have extremely pleasant experiences with FNBO. Ive banked here for almost ten years - my parents banked here for their entire lives. Anytime I needed help or had an issue, they dealt with it immediately and offered me excellent advice. We also have our home mortgage through FNBO and the whole process was WONDERFUL - Eric Almquist is the best mortgage lender. We have only had one hiccup where they credited one of our payments to the previous month, so they thought we didnt pay one month, but that was reversed and fixed with ease. No problems since! This bank is superior and always helpful. Love banking here and all the locations available throughout Omaha & CB. Plus love how their debit cards do not double charge ATM fees if I withdraw money at a foreign ATM.

If I could rate this site zero stars I would. They are not set up for Ipad enrollment yet they have an Ipad app. The enrollment feature is not intuitive in that you cannot accept the terms unless you click on terms and conditions first. They dont spell this out for you. I received a preapproved application and all I had to enter was very minimal information that did not include my mothers maiden name when I call the 800 number to accept my preapproved card. When I tried to open up an online account to pay my bill online they told me that my mothers maiden name was incorrect. Really. Im 54 years old and Ive known her maiden name since I was 3 to 4 years old but yet they are telling me its incorrect based on information that I never entered in the first place because I responded to a preapproved credit offer and only had to answer minimal information. This site is ridiculous!!!

STOP READ THIS....FNBO financially extorts its customers. In 1978 when I worked for Eastern Airlines I applied for a credit card from Eastern Financial and when the airline went out of business in 1991 FNBO acquired the business. I used the card for travel and emergencies and had no reason to change the credit card company since it offered me the 9.99 interest rate for over 2 decades. Having established credit for 45 years with a FICO score of 749 I kept using the card for emergencies at 9.9 steadily paying the credit card off. Always paying on time and never in default on any other accounts. Then in 2009 the interest rates increased to 14.99, then to 19.99 in 8 months and then 23.99. For over 4 years I periodically called FNBO and asked for a decrease in interest or a buyout but that was impossible per their customer service. I mainly used the card for emergencies for vehicle repairs, dental implants and to pay for housing from my house fire in 2011. In April 2013 my minimum payment was $600 a month ($200 to principal and $400 to interest and had the same balance for 3 years without making a dent) I called FNBO and disputed the charges and she said no one from FNBO would lower the interest or offer a buyout and my account would directly go to collections. A few weeks later I received a letter that FNBO would lower my interest rate to 13.99 by that time Ive already paid them over $13,000 in interest in 3 years on a $17,000 balance and now at age 65 my source of income is social security. FNBO has 17 Billion in assets because of its customers-YOU. STAY AWAY FROM FNBO.Im currently in default through a collection agency which is another story in itself and have a FICO score of 588 (if not lower). STAY AWAY FROM FNBOI WOULD HAVE RATED FNBO A 0 BUT THAT WASNT AN OPTION--THEY MAY OR WILL:RAISE YOUR INTEREST UNTIL YOU CANT PAY ANYMOREPUT YOU INTO COLLECTION FASTER THAN YOU CAN BLINK AN EYEFINANCIALLY RUIN YOUSTRESS YOU FINANCIALLY
