First auction experience and loved it. I bought my very first car here and what a great car! A belt was missing thats it, $9.95 and I had my 1999 Mercury Cougar coupe for 4 years! Now I need something that doesnt sit as low more into comfort instead of sports car. I paid $1000, great experience!! Cool people!! Ill be back!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME BIDDING. The site doesnt say it but there are reserves on ALL CARS. I wasted half a day yesterday -bidding on and winning two car auctions. I was notified by Hammerdown I won, and on my Proxibid site that I bid through-they listed me as winner. Yet when i tried to pay for the cars I was told they had to contact owner first. I waited and waited-Finally-the NEXT DAY I was told the owner would not sell unless i paid what amounted to 3 times my bids.NO WHERE DOES IT SAY THERE IS A RESERVE ( hidden in their special terms they mention that if a car is designated W/C or willcall that owner has the right to reject any bids that he chooses. NO WHERE on my auctions did it state this was a W/C or willcall item. Yet they refuse to sell me the cars. In their terms they clearly state all sales are final and lists rules buyers are required to follow, yet even though your auction isnt listed as a willcall they have the right to REJECT ALL BIDS unless they get what they want. After spending decades at auctions (live and online) I have never seen this-ALL REPUTABLE AUCTIONEERS will state in description there is a reserve so you know prior to bidding. Bottom Line-unless you want to pay top dollar for your car-you are wasting your time on this site. I think the legality of their bait and switch tactics should be legally investigated as fraud. SO BEWARE AND AVOID THIS SITE-

Dont waste your time bidding on cars here. The auction at the end of August had 200 cars and they only sold 5. The 2nd chance auction featured 150 of those cars and when you get a winning bid they say SOLD but it is NOT a sale because the owner can reject your bid simply by not sending you an invoice and you have to wait 2 days to find out. The sellers have unrealistic reserves set for top dollar retail. Proxibid shows you a list of your PURCHASES but you actually did NOT purchase anything. All they did was waste the better part of 3 days of my life.

Purchased my 20-year old Mustang convertible and LOVE it. Had a great time bidding at the auction. Very professional staff. Nice selection of GREAT cars!!! Just remember this is an auction house. They are not car mechanics. I had to put some money into repairing my car but well worth it. These people are HONEST and the cars are great!!!

Not impressed with selling here...great place to purchase though. I have bought 6 cars here over the last 2 years with only minor repairs... overall great place ti buy and a fun adventure for all

My grandson worked and saved his money, he went to Hammer down , brought a car there , two months later the transmission went out. Now he is without a car and money. I spoke with the owner and there’s nonthing they could do for him . What are we teaching our kids?

A great place to get a great deal on a used car. They do a good job of letting you know what is up with the cars, as far as they are aware. As with every auction you do need to check the cars out the best you can before you bid.

Very nice staff. Everything was made easy. They even take credit cards if you want to pay the 4% fee.

Alot of people give them beat up old cars with major issues youre going to have down the road in hopes that they can sell em....Their cars are lemons beware bring a mechanic.Definitely wont reccomend this place to anyone else again

Should never buy a car online big mistake. This place doesnt show whole car was beat up like was crash up derby .I work hard for money this car is a pile of junk.

Bought 2 cars here and was not informed one had a cummulative damaged title from Iowa which is the same as a salvaged title in Nebraska. When starting both the vehicles the check engine light came on right away. Wrote some feedback reguarding this issue and got a message from one of the HammerDown staff that was very, very rude an a little bit threatening. You would have better luck buying from somewhere else.

Bought a car last week come to find out I could have killed myself of someone else it is a recall on front end car and I havent drove it since investigating options th uhh s really sad i saved for the car but Im not trying to hurt myself or anyone else
