This place helped my family member get an apartment....then when lease renewal came they dropped the ball! Lost her/my information sent, tried to get her to pay a month to month rate, all after admitting their fault. She is still living there and loves her apt.Personally, if an office plays pass the buck or we didnt know or that person quit, it is usually a warning sign....its straightened out over 1.5 mo. Later. So just beware of the hoops you will have to deal with. The staff is nice but that only goes so far when you are stressed!

Wistar has been nothing but helpful and pleasant with this being my first time trying to rent a house. They provided clear directions on what needed to be done from how to sign the lease, how to build credit, and what the tenant is responsible for. Im excited to rent my first house and it being with them!Update: I had the pleasure of David working with me to make sure all our ducks were in a line so we could get our keys this morning. He explained everything very well from months rent to an inspection sheet that needs to be filled out within 7 days. I appreciate his help and for being so welcoming!

Ive lived in a house managed by Wistar for almost two years and its been a generally great experience. Their online system is easy to navigate for lease signing and renewal as well as for requesting maintenance. My maintenance requests have also been met with a swift response and the problem fixed very quickly. The water heater had to be replaced in my house and the landlord contacted me directly after learning about it to make sure it was taken care of. Furthermore, all of their maintenance people are very nice and professional. All in all, I recommend renting a property from Wistar.

Management does not breath down your neck. Easy to pay rent, request service, and report credit through their online portal. Got a good amount of space for the price in a great part of Omaha. Loved living in Dundee! David was very helpful. I would recommend Wistar.

We had major issues with the property manager due to lack of communication and zero ability to answer basic questions regarding our property and money dispersement. In my experience of renting from Wistar for the last year, it has been one employee in particular that has made renting from this company a much greater experience than what it should have been. The last year and a half has been the most devastating time in my 26 years of life. The day that I signed my initial lease in February 2020, I was working 50+ hours a week, homeless, with my two young children after just leaving a physically abusive relationship. Life continued to hit me below the belt- I’ve suffered the loss of not one, but two grandfathers. My roommate whom was responsible for my children while I worked, moved out without notice. Consequently, due to the lack of childcare, I had to resign from my high paying dream job as a health care worker for the mentally disabled, which I absolutely adored. Shortly after accepting my current job, the father of my child was taken to the critical care unit in Des Moines after a severe motorcycle accident. I spent that month with him between the hospital and his home caring for him, which lead to a month without any income. Each of these losses in my life brought financial hardship, but Rosie Rodriguez Wistar employee, is the sole reason I haven’t had to worry about money and losing my home as well. Her character speaks volumes, her understanding and dedication to me as a tenant is just simply unbeatable. She is quick, responsive and efficient with any and all questions and requests. I actually request to speak to her specifically whenever I call Wistar, I never talk with any other employee- simply because how could anyone else be even half as amazing as her? She is absolutely unbeatable, or even matchable.Rosie is a breath of fresh air, nothing less than a true blessing, and not just for me, but for the entire Wistar company.

I’ve just moved into a Wistar home and Ileana, Carlos, and David have all assisted me with the process. They’ve been very responsive to any issues or questions that I’ve had and have made the entire process easy. I lived at one of their properties (1501 Jackson) for over 3 years...their management and maintenance teams were awesome! I even had a problem with my water heater and got a really expensive electricity bill. David Peña from the management team and Phil from the maintenance team help figure it all out and they even agreed the split the bill with me. Also, great location and their building is pet friendly.

This place is an absolute NIGHTMARE when trying to get your security deposit back. I’ve been calling for 3+ weeks multiples times a week. They always say “I’ll call you back” or “I’ll get back to you” and they never do. They will not give me my security deposit back after telling me multiple times it’s been sent out via email. Now they’re saying it’s on hold? So many inconsistencies and trouble with this company. Keeping this as a 1 star until I get my deposit.

They always address my concerns immediately and the maintenance man is the best!!!
