Got a very competitive quote for my roof, and I really appreciate they were able to quote me for a partial repair to fix the leaks i had (even though I went with the full repair). A lot of other companies refuse to even do that so I feel like this company earned a lot of respect for just that!They ended up replacing my whole roof and I think it looks great!

The project included painting the door trim and extensive detailed carpentry work on the door surround. The completed work was neat, and was exactly what I requested. Their attention to detail was obvious. In addition to being talented, they were very pleasant and courteous. Also, every day that they were at my home, at the end of the day, they cleaned up and got rid of any and all debris. I am very happy with them. They gave me both quality work and a professional demeanor.

In June 2021, Fichtner Services installed James Hardie cement siding on our chimney because solar distortion wrinkled the vinyl siding. Working with Fichtner Services was very easy. Their crew arrived on the day scheduled, was professional, and performed an excellent job. The cost was reasonable. We like Fichtner Services so much that we added their name to the list of recommended contractors on our homeowners association website.

Fichtner Services was recommended to me earlier this year, by a tough customer who cuts no slack. They removed my old leaky skylights and replaced them with new ones which included remote solar shades that have helped in lowering electricity use. I competitively bid my roof replacement project using GAF Timberline architectural materials for comparability. Fichtners quote by Kevin was delivered fast and was the only firm to actually climb onto and examine the roof before quoting, others relied on satellite images only. Unlike other firms, initial meeting was no pressure and straightforward. The work team arrived on time, protected landscaping and patio furniture as promised, and cleaned-up thoroughly, including magnetic sweeps, after the roof was complete. Ray did a great job re supervision and pointing out/fixing issues along the way.

The work done by the Fichtner team was first rate and it also included full siding. The materials used were excellent. What distinguishes Fichtner is the oversight and follow-up. Our home was visited by the owner Tom Fichtner and numerous time by the supervisor Nolan Reed.

What can I say ? We have been using this firm for all our roofing needs for several decades and they still maintain their very high standards of professionalism, workmanship, warranty, accountability, communication and follow thru. In a word,you can trust them to do the job RIGHT. You can certainly find a cheaper firm, but you can also find more expensive firms, and none can match the complete Fichtner experience. I will sum it all up in one word-integrity.

They installed a new roof and removed 2 skylights, insulated, drywalled and finished the ceiling where the skylights had been, and did an excellent job, cleaning up after their work! (this is a biggie for me! No mess left for me!)

The Fichtner team work with us to add a 11 x 6 front porch to our house. The entire team was knowledgeable, responsive, and willing to work with us at every step of the way. We had them install a copper standing seam roof to match a bay window about 10 from the new porch. Their craftsmanship was excellent on the porch and roof, they applied the same care as if they were working on a historic building in Annapolis. Weve already referred them to others!

The guys that did the work were very acceptable to questions I asked. They did good work and called my attention to several things. The cost was exactly the same as what I was quoted, even though it took them longer to do the work than they expected. All conversations were straight forward, which I really appreciated.

This review is for roof replacement. In summary: I experienced great service with competitive pricing. The roofing workers took the time to diligently protect my home perimeter items, like greenery, flowers, air conditioning unit, etc., with tarps and similar protective gear. The Company sent a large crew to assure the replacement could be done in one day. After and during installation, the workers meticulously cleaned up. Not one piece of debris was found after they left. During the work, the Superintendent, Jan, answered my questions and kept me posted of progress. After, he inspected the completed roofing work super carefully. The labor and material warranties for the roofing replacement are super. I would not hesitate to use this Company again.

Absolutely fantastic in all regards! We interviewed and received 4 quotes from different contractors for our roof and gutter replacement. Fichtner came in lower than any other, gave a more detailed plan of what exactly, and why, they would do and were just overall much more accommodating. Mike Bafford with Fichtner is an outstanding rep and worked with us every step of the way. The other contractors were okay, it’s just that the Fichtner Team was that much better. So the up front estimate, inspection, and working with Chris and the team for the proposal was actually very pleasant, but when the team actually arrived on site for the work we were blown away by how great they were. All the workers were certified master roof installers. Jan, the Team supervisor and site manager, was everywhere at all times and literally kept us totally aware of everything that was going on. We also had 5 skylights replaced and Ray, another lead, came out to ensure everything went perfect with those. What really impressed us is that every worker knew that if they saw something that did not look perfect they could bring it up to Jan or Ray and they would listen and take action! This brought a level of comfort to us that we have not had in a contractor in decades. The Fichtner Team just did an outstanding job all around. We knew exactly what was and, as important, was not, included in their proposal. Everything went perfect. The clean up after was unbelievable also. We had heard of friends who had roofs done that were picking nails up from around their yard for months. Not so with Fichtner. They literally almost got every nail the day they finished and then came back and did another sweep. We have literally not seen a nail in our yard since. The gutter installation was just as perfect. We always had issues with water literally flowing over our old gutters like waterfalls. Fichtner’s Team measured and installed the new gutters sloping in such a way that there is no overflow of water anywhere any more. After everything, our house literally looks like a new home. Yep, we would definitely recommend Fichtner Services for anything to do with your home!

I did my research before choosing a roofing contractor. (6-7 estimates) I got a new roof plus gutters and downspouts. Let me save you some time....go with Fichtner!! Ill explain why.They use quality GAF materials and are a MASTER ELITE installer. Their prices are very competitive. Their workers are experienced and good at what they do! They are honest. Zero sales pressure. I only had the loss of my driveway for a day (townhouse) because they bring a truck w/a dumpster on the back and get rid of the debris very quickly! They did the work within the estimated timeframe, and customer service is very important to them.Of note, they were the ONLY company that suggested I NOT get gutter guards on the front of my house. (less money for them!) It had to do with the roof design; heavy rain would be too much for gutter guards on my house and the water would completely overflow the gutters. Once that was explained to me it made perfect sense, yet NO other company brought that up. My estimator, Steve, was very honest, knew his stuff, and hes a former Marine so hes a good guy all-around. To their great credit, they custom-cut the drip-edge for me so that it would look good with the crown molding on my house. Also, the gutters they install are seamless - so theres less chance of gutter leaks. In addition, everyone I dealt with at the company was friendly and professional. Lastly, they even put new shingles on a small area off of my deck (see photo) which was unexpected.Please note, those are GAF Timberline Architectural shingles in Charcoal in the pics, with 6 inch gutters and 3x4 downspouts, and black drip-edge. Sorry the roof pics are not better, but I dont own a drone.Overall this experience could not have been better! They answered every question I had (and I had a lot), scheduling was a breeze, the work was done exactly as they said it would be done, cleanup was very good (please note, magnetic rakes are not perfect, no matter who uses them...), and the results were fantastic!! Im extremely happy with the work and am very glad I chose Fichtner Services.

I needed some windows replaced. I called and left a message over a week ago. Never heard from them.

Tom the owner came out and did our estimate. He was very thorough and explained all of our options to us. He got on the roof and measured (out of 6 estimates we got, he was one of two who actually did this- others rely on a software that takes areal photos and Tom said that can lead to excess materials or worse, not enough being ordered and projects being delayed). The scheduling was timely and they communicated to us every step of the way. The roof took almost 2 days as expected. The foreman was on site all of the first day and part of the second day inspecting the work as it was being done. At the end, the team was extremely thorough with their cleanup- we had no nails or debris anywhere in the yard or driveway. We highly recommend Fichtner Services!!

Awesome company - Mike Bafford came out to give me an estimate, got a ladder and actually walked up the roof to inspect and measure it (not just a drone flyby like the competition), he found a loose shingle and fixed it for me on the spot. Two weeks later the crew came out, took them 12 hours in 90+ heat, but finished the job that evening and cleaned up everything, could barely tell they were there. 100% satisfied, would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a new roof. They even put my gutter guards back in place and installed some gutter screws I had on hand to replace nails that had pulled out and wouldnt stay in place - they go the extra mile to make you happy - the foreman Jan Schmidt was great.

The owner called me after viewing my review, he apologized and spent quite a good amount of time explaining the issues with our roof. Not only that, but he sent a crew to my house less than an hour after we talked. They went on the roof, spent time explaining the issues, and provided solutions. Ill now await for a quote.Based on my second interaction with them, Id recommend them.7/22/19: Called to have them come check our roof since we have a stain on our kitchen ceiling. They said they would come out to do a free estimate. The estimator arrived and left in less than 5 minutes...literally. He didnt even go up on the roof to check what the issue was. He looked at our roof from the ground and said you need to replace all this area and its going to cost you around $8K. Ill send you the estimate in about a week. He didnt seem to care about our issue at all. Based on my first impression, I would not recommend them.

Weve had Fichtner Services come out to our home twice for basic roof maintenance and gutter cleaning. They send an estimate out within 24 hours of calling and I think their pricing is fair. We have a builder grade roof, so really not the greatest quality roof, and Fichtner Services have helped us keep it maintained. They always are able to work us into their schedule much earlier than originally estimated. The crews are very professional and I really trust the information and recommendations they provide. We have them come out yearly, but will likely switch to every 6 months to catch any issues we might have with the roof early. I would recommend Fichtner Services to others looking for a roof maintenance.

Very clear communication and easy scheduling. All of our questions and requests were addressed promptly, and our new roof was installed on the scheduled day. Fichtner Services replaced the siding on my house. It was a 3.5 day job. Only on day 1 was a supervisor present. The workers did not have good English, making communication difficult. My husband had to make many calls to a supervisor who was offsite. We requested that the workers avoid walking through the gardens, but they did this anyway. As a result, plants were damaged and the soil was compacted. They lost the nuts that attached the front exterior lights to the house. 7 window screens and one patio paving stone were damaged during the work. These issues were ultimately resolved to our satisfaction. Lots of small bits of debris and nails were left behind. Cleanup could have been more thorough.The installation of the siding appears to have been done well. The house looks good. I would have been more pleased with a bit more attention to detail.

Prices were printed based square footage and roof slope; so we didnt have to play games like a used car lot. He pushed to get an expedited schedule.The office called, scheduled an appointment and had materials delivered.The forecast for the installation day was bad, but I didnt get a call until 820 am. This cost them the 5th star. Look, I know good weather is needed, but even looking at the forecast the night before they could have called me and said there might be a problem. They made a point to get everything cleaned up. The supervisor told one of the guys, Get every nail. Little kids live hereThere was some tricky stuff in the new installation with a skylight and bathroom vent replacement. They got right through that.I really liked the high attention to detail around eaves, valleys, penetrations, vents, chimney, and plywood replacement.In and out in one day. Dumpster was gone by 930 the next morning. Roof looks great.Job well done.

Had a leaking 2nd story window that was dripping water into the room below. Turns out that because the window was not first installed properly, it had rotted out and had created the problem. Fichtner was the only company that diagnosed the problem correctly and provided a reasonable quote. After using the team from Fitchner I had decided to get a roofing quote from them about a year later. This was even after I thought I had found a roofing guy (See one of my older posts). After comparing roofing quotes I decided to go with Fitchner because of the size of the job, along with their outstanding quality and reasonable pricing. The entire team did a great job.

Fichtner Services replaced a sliding glass door and also replaced window trim completed by another company after replacing windows. Fichtner was very professional in the work that was completed and wanted to ensure that we were pleased with it each step of the way. They were always very responsive when contacted and keep us up to date on the progress and timing of installation. The work was completed in less time than originally planned (originally told it would take 2 days, then they brought several extra individuals to complete in one day).Overall, we are so happy with the work that was completed and would definitely recommend to neighbors and friends in the future. If we have to have other work completed again, I will definitely be giving them a call!

Fichtner Services installed a new roof and some new gutters on our house recently. I was very satisfied with the overall experience, quality, and cost. I especially appreciated that when the sales representative came to inspect my roof he was extremely honest with me and said that our roof could wait on replacement. And when we later decided to replace anyway for other reasons, he didnt try to sell me on the most expensive options. The rest of the team was very flexible in scheduling my replacement on other constraints. They showed up when promised, did what appears to be a great job, and cleaned everything up. I will definitely recommend to friends.

I have been using this company for eight years, they are the original installers of my gutters and have been the ones to maintain them all of these years. The company is very professional, always on time, and I never have to worry whether or not the job will be done correctly. Highly recommend this company.

Working with the folks at Fichtner was a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, our need for a new roof surfaced during a rainy period when lots of leaks surfaced in a upstairs bedroom When I called, I had someone at my home that day. Steve, a very impressive former Marine, went up on the roof and did some quick fixes to slow down, if not stop the leaks and this was way before I decided to go with his company. I had gotten several other quotes and found that FSC was not only competitively priced but made me feel confident in selecting them. Because of the leaks, they pushed our job to the front of the line and within a week we had our beautiful new roof. And when the job was finished the area surrounding our house was meticulously cleared of debris and swept with a magnet for nails. Theres a reason Fictner is considered the best in Annapolis!
