From the Arborist to the Field Crew, all staff are knowledgeable, courteous and responsive. Office administrative staff are also polite and responsive. Curb appeal means a lot. They keep me posted on diseases and proper treatments to mitigate damage. The cost for services can be higher than others, but reliability comes at a price. Thats why we have relied upon Bartlett to help us manage our property (trees and shrubs) for the past 20-years.

Excellent experience with estimator. Very knowledgeable and honest. Answered all our questions and made recommendations. Tree cabling and pruning team was awesome. Our trees look fantastic and all branches were cleaned up and shredded. Watching the gentleman climb the tree to prune and cable was amazing. Highly recommend this company.

Ryan visited our home and provided us an insightful education on the care of our trees. We were impressed with his knowledge, professionalism, and courtesy. The pruning crew did an exceptional job and explained the process to us during their visit. Once the job was completed they took great care to leave the yard neat and clean and answered all of our questions to our satisfaction. The company was not the least expensive nor were they the most expensive vendor for this job. However, we are extremely pleased with their service and will be returning when the need arises.

Bartlett Tree was super helpful when we needed help after a recent storm. We had two very large oak trees that were uprooting and Bartlett made every effort to prioritize their removal. As it turned out, time wasn’t on our side and both trees fell, one into our house. The Bartlett crew was immediately there for us and handled the removal of both fallen trees. We were very impressed by the knowledge of the supervisors handling our situation. Arborist, Jonathan has offered excellent plans to manage our property to insure that we maintain our water view and comply with county regulations. He presented us with plans that occurred in stages that were very reasonable. The crew members are always polite, professional and pay attention to detail. Jonathan Cowherd has been great to work with as our arborist. He came out once last season to look at a spruce tree that appeared to be dying. He recommended one treatment due to a bagworm infestation. He came out this season and had a few recommendations for several other trees. Ive been impressed that he never tried to push a service on me or sell me a product. He was honest and straightforward, and the few recommendations he made were for issues which I knew existed. Bartlett Tree also service/care for the trees in my neighborhood, and have done so over the past several years. I was impressed with their work, thus leading me to contact them for my yard. The office staff has always been polite and professional whenever Ive called or had a question.

Needed trees cut down, stumps grounded and fungicide applied to cypress trees. Brock was there the day after I called. Had an estimate that night which was priced right where I needed it. They had everything done within 3 days and did a great job. Couldn’t recommend them high enough.

Bartlett is our go to company for professional tree and shrub work. Their crews are skilled, work hard, answer questions, and leave our yard nice and clean.

I am 81 and this is the best tree removal experience I have had. We went around the yard to see what needed work and they sent me a report of everything we discussed, with prices for each item. Within a week they had taken care of some of the items, and the following week the rest were done. After all the debris and wood chips, etc., when they left there was not a sign of anything. Bartlett has a strong reputation of being good at what they do. As such, my wife and I sought them out for a quote in removing two large dead trees in our front yard. We contacted 3 companies in total, 2 of which were immediately responsive and were out to provide input within 24 hours. Barlett scheduled an appt for the earliest available which happened to be a week out. We waited a week and I cleared my morning of meetings to be available. 5 min before they were supposed to show I received a call saying they were heading to another customer instead. They asked if it was ok to be 30 min late, I replied that was fine but it couldnt be more than that as I had meetings scheduled. Then, to put a cherry on top, they outright never showed.

I’ve had Bartlett caring for my yard (trees, shrubs, plants) annually since 2005 and they were here doing a special project as recently as last week. Tyler has supervised my property since 2011 and Geoff and Joe have been great go-to crews!!! Polite, courteous, and always with an easygoing smile, they seem to have endless energy in taking personal interest in the property. I have used Bartlett Tree Experts for more than 10 years to service the needs of a heritage silver maple tree on my property. It is likely one of the largest and oldest of its kind in the Eastport neighborhood of Annapolis, MD. The tree is probably beyond its lifetime, and I want to keep it going. It has provided my home with wonderful shade for the 36 years I have lived here, and I am very fond of it. Bartlett Tree Experts has fulfilled all of my expectations in providing treatments for the tree and making recommendations for its care. I cannot think of another company to whom I would trust the well-being of my tree.

Bartlett Tree Experts have attended to my tree nursery for the past 18 years, and as a private practice landscape architect have assisted my clientele with tree diagnosis, treatment, maintenance and large tree removal if necessary. Their crews are skilled, knowledgeable, safety conscious, always courteous and complete their tasks efficiently and in a timely manner. My clients use Bartlett repeatedly and appreciate how clean the site is upon completion of their work.

A year after this happened, I am still scratching my head and thoroughly annoyed by my experience. We signed an annual contract to inspect and maintain the trees on our property. About halfway through the contract year, we noticed that 2 of the five weeping willows that border our property (and are very visible- standing alone in a field) were not looking right. Upon further inspection, we noticed that they were really just on their last legs; clearly whatever was killing them had been at it for a long while. We called Bartlett to come out and check them right away, and the answer we got when they examined them was, Yes, they are pretty much dead and will have to be removed. Huh? Thats what were paying you for? We had many conversations with the guy who came out, as well as higher-ups, with the same response. Mind you, we hired them to maintain and inspect our trees to avoid this situation! Prior to this, wed just call them if need to be treat or trim a tree. I truly believe they just plain never even looked at these particular trees before we asked them to. We never got an apology, nor an offer to replace these beautiful trees. Its really too bad.
