Phil is awesome. My spouse and I have gone to him with a few different cars and he’s always honest, prices everything fairly, and does great work. Phil is great, he has worked on my 4Runner twice and has done a great job, and has also saved me money. Other shops were unable to fix my steering issues, but Phil took care of it in a day.

I started to get a clunking noise from my front driver side wheel. Phil was able to squeeze me in on short notice to take a look. Turns out it was my fault when I was doing some brake work. Phil fixed the issue and had me out the door same day at a very reasonable cost. Very professional, fast, and accommodating. I will definitely go back for the next issue I have with my cars.

Phil seems like an honest mechanic, but when I took my vehicle to them for brakes, they never felt right after. I took it back to see why, they worked right for about a day and went back to not working well. They also stole the owl I had hanging from my mirror. When I took it back for the brakes, it started overheating right after. I found my radiator fan was unplugged and stashed in the back. Someone here is dishonest. Dealership has my business back... theyre more money, but I never had these issues with them. Lesson learned.

Phil is the most amazing and honest mechanic.Bought a used car everyone said I was scammed and bought a vehicle with a blown transmission even a highly reputable transmission shop. Took it to Phil and the issue was resolved the same day. Cheap simple fix bad motor mounts was all. Few years later car is still running great.

Was in a bit of a time crunch while visiting the Denver area and needed my ride height adjusted on my Tacoma aftermarket shocks, as well as an alignment. I brought my truck in because it was having acceleration issues. I was thinking the worst and imagining a huge bill to repair some major thing like the transmission. Turns out it was some minor adjustment on the brake itself. Phil could have EASILY told me something else but he was honest, up front and fast, which means a lot, being a female and always hearing about getting ripped off. His price was extremely reasonable (only charged me for diagnostics). I would definitely come back and recommend him to anyone looking for an honest, knowledgeable mechanic in the area.

Phil is an expert at his craft. I crunched a steering knuckle and my power steering rack in my 4runner on a 4x4 trail in Summit County and was in a tight spot. All of which I had no idea at the time, but knew it was not good. No shops available for weeks up there so I got it towed to Smooth Ride, Phil diagnosed the situation in less than 24 hours, was completely transparent on pricing and timing, then got the work done in less than 2 weeks. Did such a good job I did Black Bear Pass and Imogene Pass in the San Juans the next week and everything worked good as new. Truly an awesome repair experience in a world of typically bad experiences.

My wife found this place when Mountain States Toyota had a three week wait time to fix the water pump in her Highlander. He diagnosed it and then suggested we call the warranty people and ask if it’s covered. It was and we took it to Groove Toyota. But the gentleman was honest and helpful and did not just try to convince us to let them fix it. We will definitely go back there when our other cars need fixed or for whatever the dealership won’t cover.

Before moving to Colorado recently, I had a mechanic I was going to for 8 years, and was nervous to come to a new state, as a young female, and not get ripped off. Well.. I can say that Ive comfortably found a place that DOESNT rip people off!!! Phil, and the rest of the workers at Smooth Ride Auto truly care about their customers and the cars that they see. I first went in November for an oil change and they quoted me for my breaks. Now, in April, I went back to get my breaks done, and they were so amazing, once again! They broke it down in non-mechanic talk where my car stands and what it will need in the up-coming future. Their prices are great as well. I cannot thank them enough for being great! I bought my used car, year 2000 6 weeks ago. 1 week after I bought it, I had a plethora of problems with the car. I took it to Smooth ride, which is reasonably priced and honest, and they let me know the future work they suggested should be done. They also told told nothing was immediate, and I could have the work done incrementally, so as not to be a huge financial burden. Some of the problems were already apparent to me, such as the steering column has a lot of play. I am a woman and fairly new to Colorado and I appreciate feeling like I am not getting fleeced, as I have in the past, when I have taken former cars to dealerships where the mechanics are payed a set amount of hours for work completed, even if it exceeds the time involved in the work. One dealership said they did an oil change, which they charged me for, and I subsequently found out the oil change was not done because the technician was taking a short cut. I highly recommend Smooth Ride. Just call for an appointment beforehand, they are a small business and they can only handle so many cars at a time, unlike a dealership which can accept a car the day of the problem.

I had to get some front shocks for my Tundra in a hurry before we went out of town. I found the ones I needed but still needed to get them installed. I called Phil based on a recommendation from Toytec and that was one of the best decisions I could have asked for. Phil was amazing and the price was unbelievable. He got me in same day and did an amazing job. When I took my truck in for alignment the tech asked me how I got it so perfect. All it needed was a tweak on the toe. I told him Smooth Ride did it. I think hell be contacting them soon for his lift as well.

I found Smooth Ride online. I have somewhat of a background in car mechanics and chose him based on our phone conversations. During those conversations, I mentioned that I live overseas and was transiting through Denver and informed the owner Phil that I would like to stop by and have my recently purchased Toyota 4Runner lifted and checked out before we continued a long road trip.I gave Phil authorization to check and repair numerous items. He was honest and only found $80 of repairs necessary out of the $600 I had authorized. Considering he knew I was from out of town, I was very pleased he did only what was necessary rather than charging for unnecessary work. This is commendable.I am also very pleased with his pricing and quality on the lift job.I can recommend this shop and the owner Phil who is also a certified Toyota master mechanic.

A down to earth shop that did a great job installing new coilovers and shocks on my FJ Cruiser. They used to specialize in Toyotas but now work on most cars, except European brands. They completed the work on time and for the cost they quoted me on the phone beforehand. Wouldnt hesitate to use them again.

I brought my car in because the ac didn’t work. I specifically told them to address the ac compressor because it was whining very audibly. They changed a bunch of other stuff in the ac system and “fixed” it, but somehow they were shocked afterwards when the ac compressor was whining. I’m giving them 2 stars because at least the guy was friendly.I’d recommend a different shop. They only do half the work that you ask for.

I have been ripped off at other places in the past. I feel like a lot of shops have a contest to see how much money they can get out of me. They tell me I need a million dollars worth of work and that I will break down in the next minute if I dont have it done. I have been so frustrated because I wasnt sure who to believe. I found Phil and it has been a great experience because I know I can trust his work and his honesty! He is the best!

Awsome customer service!!! Called this morning for my 1998 Jeep Cherokee and asked how much it would cost for a basic muffler. Rick the owner said $125 and to see if he had it in stock. He did and told me he was swamp but to still bring it in and he can get it done . dropped it off and it was done in a couple of hours . Picked up my jeep and it was $125 out the door, they didnt try and say something else was wrong . also we talked to the owner himself and he did the work. I will definitely recommend and wouldnt go any where else .

I had a quote for exhaust from another place that was so high that I put it off, and off, and off. Called Smooth Ride, and Phil had his expert call me back, who quoted about 1/9th the cost. I took it in, and sure enough it was just about that price (plus taxes, of course). I cannot say how grateful I am to have found Smooth Ride!

Took my 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser to him when it shut down on I-25 one day. Turned out it was the timing belt according to him and after about $900 worth of work my car was back up and running. Felt like he did a great job and was very accommodating and friendly. Then my car began to overheat about a week later and I took it to him again to have him to diagnose the problem. I forget what exactly he said the problem was but that it would be roughly $400 in labor and parts to fix. I decided that I didnt want to spend the money and I was soon driving home and would have my father whos very good with cars to take it look. Turns out the only problem with the car was a bum thermostat, the part costs me $18 and my dad replaced it in less than an hour. Safe to say I will no longer be referring or bringing my cars to him because his judgement cannot be trusted and I definitely question whether the work we had him do earlier was done appropriately or if the issues he stated with my car were actually the problem. Definitely get multiple opinions before having him fix your car.

I was tired of looking for a good mechanic. The previous 4 shops that I had my vehicles repaired at, they were horrible experiences and I feel being ripped off everytime I took my vehicle in. I found Smooth Ride while trying to find a shop near where I live (Northglenn). Called Phil (Owner) and made an appointment to get a newly purchase 2006 Toyota Sequoia Limited checked because driving back from OHIO we notice that one of the front wheel bearing was going out (making grinding noises). Took it in to Smooth Ride and Phil confirmed that it was not the front but the passenger rear wheel bearing that is pretty much shot! We authorized the work and now the Sequoia runs smooth... Phils price to repair the vehicle was lower than I expected and he went out of his way to get us the best pricing for the OEM parts. Very professional and thorough with his work. I would recommend Smooth Ride to anyone having issues with thier vehicle/s. I am also recommending his services to all of the people that attends my church. Awesome shop!!Al Moua
