This place saved my laptop! My laptop battery was swollen and extremely bended the back cover. it could die any minute. So i bought a new battery from amazon and planned to replace by myself. However i ended up stripped all the screws and cannot open the cover. I asked some popular computer repair shops nearby. One said they need 90 dollars for diagnosis and then 200 for replacement. And i can only have my laptop back 4 days later. I use my laptop to work daily so it is not acceptable for me. i was planning to buy a new laptop. But luckily, I found this place!!! I called them, brought it to them and they fixed it in less than 1 hour!!! And now the new battery is in there,back cover is perfect flat and all screws are still there!!! And guess what? they only asked for half an hour labor fee of 32.5 dollars. 4 days vs 1 hour, 200+ vs 32.5 bucks! this place can really get things done! 10 out of 10.

Had a great experience with GEC. First, they answer the phone so you can talk to someone about your options. The options they gave me were clear and helpful. It took a little longer than they said but within four days I had my laptop back and its running like it was brand new! The cost was very reasonable. I am relieved to have found a place I can go to when in need for a computer or phone fix.

I had a problem with my iPhone. Phone was overheating and battery was draining quickly when connected to Wi-Fi or the cellular network. Turned out to be a hardware problem, not the battery. John worked to resolve this issue, backing up the damaged phone and restoring the data to a spare phone I brought with me. It took a couple of hours for the entire process to play out but it was well worth it. Highly recommend these guys.

My phone had stopped charging and had run out of power. An initial call established that Green Earth Computers could diagnose the issue while I waited, so I went to their storefront. Entry was not allowed (due to a pandemic), but a technician responded promptly to a knock on the door, recognized my voice from the call, accepted my phone for service, and promised to update me as soon as possible. A second technician appeared shortly after to let me know the charging port needed cleaning. Within 30 minutes, the first technician returned my phone, having verified that it was now drawing the correct charging current, and advised me to leave it charging for a while, and if it didnt return to life, we could talk about next steps. I asked what I owed them, and he said For that? Nothing.My phone returned to life after charging at home for 10 minutes.The same service (cleaning the charging port) had cost me over twenty dollars and took two days at another nearby certified service center for the phone brand.

Ive been sending folks to GEC and Kiernan for years, and recently used them myself! The experience was fast, quick and easy. The cost was quoted and billed the same. The turn around was one day. Thanks to the Crew at Green Earth for provided great tech support and customer service!

THE place to buy a refurbished laptop. Needed to replace mine and found a perfect replacement here. The wait is a little long due to Covid (no store hours, Techs working from home, etc. ) but its well worth it.

John just fixed my iPhone in 15 minutes with such a low cost than expected. People here are super friendly and very professional.The same screen protector price at Green Earth is four times less than the quote I got from the Apple store. Apple store also quoted me $129 (exclude tax) to fix my home bottom, where John fixed it in less than 15 minutes with such a reasonable cost ($15). I am very thankful and plan to visit this place soon with a thank you gift.Thank you again, John!!

I had a wonderful experience at Green Earth Computers! I brought my Mac in because it was literally missing a few screws. Not only did they replace the missing ones and tighten the others they didn’t charge me anything! I tried to pay them and they refused multiple times! They said they had some extra screws and didn’t want to charge me for their spare parts! They have definitely made a loyal customer out of me and I will be referring everyone with any computer issues to them! It’s a rarity these days to find an honest business that doesn’t overcharge even when given the chance. I had expected to pay them and since I have no idea about computers I would have paid what they asked for without knowing if I was being overcharged or not! Really wonderful to know that good businesses and people (shout out to Derek for his EXCELLENT customer service!) still exist in this messed up world.

Had dropped off my laptop to get a virus taken off, I asked if it was possible to save my information before doing so, the guy there Greg told me they will be able to do it. Two weeks later, I pick up my device, and when I got home, I realized all my data that was saved was gone... all my work files are gone.. I called back and they said there’s nothing else they could do since it was already reset. Waste of money!!!

Only problem was that the repair was supposed to take 1 hr and it turned into 3.5 hrs otherwise great service and pricing

Bad news is that Ive had Iphone, tablet and laptop issues in the last year or so. Good news is that each time the folks at Green Earth were able to accurately diagnose, clearly communicate to me and/or repair the item within a reasonable time and at a fair price. Its great to have a local small business that I trust because at some point all the tech gadgets are going to need repair or replacement.

Friendly, expert and responsive! I called when they opened and spoke to Greg, requesting mobile service to my ailing Dad in the hospital who depends on his Macbook for connection and communication. Greg fit us in same day, visited my Dad in the hospice ward, and as my Dad put it...you hit the jackpot with these guys. Fixed the issues with his Mac book and helped him do some editing on his lifes video! I am not a reviewer, but this experience is worthy of sharing! Thank you so much for your service!

These guys were not only fast and helpful, they always kept in quick contact through email whenever there was a problem and are always willing to answer any questions! Service was incredibly affordable and these are not the kind of techies that will reformat your computer and give up. The best tech repair experience Ive had, and now my laptop that was once dead has a new hard drive with all my data on it!

Came in after the other computer shop in town told be they wouldnt be able to look at my laptop (a had a MacBook with a damaged keyboard after a liquid spill) for 5ish days, and also quoted diagnostics at $90. Figured it couldnt hurt to walk over to to Green Earth computers and see if they could help out sooner. They could, and the guy I talked to (forgot to ask him his name, sorry person!) did a quick check to make sure it wasnt a relatively quick fix like wiping down the internal components. I highly suspect that if that had worked there would have been a nominal or no charge, which is lovely. Ended up leaving it with them to run diagnostics (for $65, which if you have them do repairs counts toward your final cost). They updated me by text and email to let me know a few days later what the diagnostics had turned up, let me ask over the phone bunch of probably super basic questions without once being condescending, ordered parts and did repairs and got back to me in a few days. Quick pickup at the store, very reasonable price for parts and labor, told me I could come in anytime in the next 30 days if I had any issues. Overall some the nicest, easiest electronics repair shop Ive been to and Ive broken and tried to fix a lot of things over the years.Oh and also I needed a short mini USB cable that they didnt have in stock and so the guy (sorry again!) Popped in the back and grabbed me one and just let me have it. These are good folks to have in town.

I tried to upgrade an old desktop but was in over my head! I brought it in with a hard drive, some cables, and RAM. Even though the shop closed in 30 minutes, they took time to give me a quote.It turned out to be an easy fix, and extremely inexpensive! When it got close to closing time, I said I could leave it with them. However, they insisted I stay, and got it running again. They went the extra mile to check the performance, and recommend which parts I might need to upgrade first. They explained the process to me in a way that was easy to understand, but not condescending. A++ would come here every time.

Everyone here is very nice, honest, and knowledgeable. They replaced my laptop screen pretty quickly. I trust this place and Ill go here for any computer or phone problems.

This business is such a delight. I am not very tech-savvy, and whenever I have an issue with my laptop or even my phone, often times, itll be some small issue I just dont have the tech expertise to solve, these guys are so helpful, kind, and patient and solve the problem as quickly and affordably as possible, often not even charging me anything if its something they can do on the spot. They have even counseled me on the phone several times to resolve a tech issue. Ive had to turn the computer in, I think once, and they were very timely and stayed in communication about the progress. Very professional, friendly, and experts! Thank you, Green Earth!

Our hard drive crashed at work and we called Green Earth as well as other local and regional computer repair companies. The man who answered the phone at Green Earth was well spoken and empathetic. I appreciated that he understood the importance of point of sale system for a small retailer during the busy season. Green Earth contacted their tech and he was at our store within 90 minutes. (The other companies said it would at least 6 hours before they could send someone to look at our system.) Their rates were $25 less p/h than other companies, and they didnt charge a travel fee.After a thorough evaluation Ed from Green Earth had diagnosed the problem, assessed the damage, and came up with three options for us based on our time and budget constraints. Greg from Green Earth took care of the actual install, and stayed three hours after Green Earths closing time and an hour before they open in order to accommodate our retail hours. Both Greg and Ed were professional, efficient, and all around extremely pleasant to work with, (especially considering a lot of the work was done in small spaces and often in the hubbub of a busy retail environment).It took a few more visits to get our new drive and our old software and peripherals working but Green Earth had someone contacting us either in person or by phone daily. It is reassuring that when I call the company I recognize the voice of the person who answers the phone. Someone usually arrives within an hour to fix our problem and Ed even follows up with a phone call or a visit in person on the work performed.It is a please to do business with Green Earth. All their employee are knowledgeable, efficient, and professional. Also, they are very nice people who obviously enjoy what they do. They solved all of our problems, have excellent customer service, and charge very competitive rates. I can not recommend Green Earth Computers highly enough.

Honestly the best place around to go. Great service, professional and fast! Ive gone there twice now and could not be happier with my experiences.

When I brought my computer to this place last year it was running slow and seemed to have trouble locking up on occasion. We also told them it would always want to update but never did. They replaced the hard drive charged us $200 and said we were good to go... The computer ran better but still didnt seem right. We were way too busy with other family issues and never had time to persue the issue.Now we have moved south and found a local place to fix all our issues. Apparently Green Earth was so busy with so many computer repairs they forgot to replace all the screws in our computer, there was Malware so bad they had to wipe out everything and start from scratch.I feel as if were were ripped off by Green Earth and I would never recommend them to anyone. They band aid fixed my computer when I asked for a complete fix. They are making customers feel as if they care but ultimately they are just there to get you in and out without making it a long term solution as they promised. Not worth the $$!! If I could give them 0 stars I would!

When I found out that my Geek Squad guys at Best Buy in Hadley were gone, I went into a complete panic. They had done a great job with all my computer problems and I felt lost and especially anxious because my Dell case was cracked and I could hardly open up my computer. But...I got turned on to Green Earth Computers as an alternative and gosh was I pleased. From the moment I arrived at their shop on Crafts Ave. until a week later when my computer came back as good as new, I knew I had found a new home for all of my tech needs. Everyone at the shop was very knowledgeable (and super geeky, thank goodness) and treated me with so much respect. I now have a go to place for when my computer needs help and this is a great relief!!

Went here after Yes Computers and they will charge me $60 for a service that was quoted as $250 by Yes. Plus the people at Green Earth are way friendlier and super helpful as well as honest. They are now my go to for any technology issues

Still remember when this place failed to fix my cracked phone screen and kept my $60 as a labor fee. If your screen cracks just go to Apple instead.

Ive worked closely with the guys from GEC over the last few years, and have generally found them to be very professional and knowledgeable about their craft. Well priced, compared to some of the competition.

I always bring my computer repairs here. Kiernan and his guys do incredible work and I never feel screwed by the price. Ive had hardware and software problems solved by these guys in quick order and I have always been more than satisfied with the results.

My computer screen wouldnt turn on. At first it was only occasionally, but then it was most of the time. When I brought it to Green Earth Computers, it started working again, but only til I brought it to a nearby cafe. So I brought it back again. Kiernan got the screen to turn on again. He patiently and creatively worked with it until he identified the problem. He made it easy for me to understand what was going on with it and gave me clear choices about my options. I really appreciated that Kiernan didnt push me into purchasing extra parts. I felt like the money I paid was fair and worthwhile. I was very happy to have my computer cooperating again so I could complete my school work.

We were sold a refurbished iPad that we used for about 2 hours/week for a few months. One day it wouldnt turn on, they told us the screen was dead, and then they told us the iPad probably had water damage and they couldnt offer a refund. We took very good care of this device. This place is a complete scam, go through Apple instead.

Brought a laptop in to get serviced in early October. After a free diagnosis I decided to go ahead with the the recommended motherboard repair which would take no less than 3 weeks (apparently). Around the expected return date I received no update/communication from the business after a few emails and calls. The next week (now 4+ days late) I found out it was being shipped out and would be there by that weekend, which would make it just over a week late. When it didnt arrive that weekend I assumed they strapped it to a mule and were walking it across the country. I received The laptop today, officially 12 days late (Originally due back November 4th, and although everything seems fine, I cannot get over the delay.After requesting a discount for terrible estimation of delivery and service. I was given an astounding amount of $5 off the price of my total (Less than 4%).Sure it could have been a problem with UPS, but I would expect much better knowledge of where the laptop is and a much better discount than what was given for a service being done 12 days past due.Dealing with no laptop in college is a pain, and this made the aggravation 100x worse. I will not do business with again, I am giving 2 stars because Kiernan was a very nice guy in person. In any similar situation I would expect the business to accept responsibility for the delay and not blame it on UPS, I did not conduct business with UPS, I conducted business with Green Earth computers their inept service department across the country.

My partners phone had gotten dropped in water the week before I took it in to Green Earth. When I got the quote, I was worried because they said it would take 3-5 business days alone to get the part since they had to ship it from California, and even then the lcd screen may be wrecked forever but 3 days later they emailed me back saying it was fixed and I could come pick it up. It was $120, 60 for the part and 60 for the labor but since my partner doesnt back up his phone it wasnt worth it to just get a new one. It was working great when we got it back but now, mysteriously, the screen is cracking randomly even when he puts it in his front pocket and leaves it there with no keys or anything. I hate to assume that Green Earth weakened the glass screen somehow during reassembly, but I cant eliminate the possibility. We go to college in amherst and they were the closest phone repair place that would fix LG phones, so we cant say that we would go somewhere else next time necessarily.

For me, theyve always proved very helpful, knowledgeable, and have done excellent work at reasonable rates. Highly recommended.

I can’t say enough positive things about the people who work and own Green Earth Computers. Just days before I was suppose to move out of MA and begin a new job, the hard drive on my MacBook Pro called it quits (what I didn’t know was that my RAM had also). I had heard good things about this place, so I brought my computer in, told them that I needed a new HD, and that I was moving so I needed it fast. Not only did they give me realistic expectations for when it would be done, but they also weren’t willing to compromise on quality by just replacing and returning- what I’m saying is they could have just taken my money but they didn’t and I’m so grateful. Because of their attention to detail and commitment to the highest level of service, my computer will be with me for years to come (and at a competitive price).While this was all well and good- it’s not why they got 5 stars from me. Largely due to outside forces (the blizzard) I wasn’t able to pick-up my repeated computer before I left and they went and helped me out of a pickle by overnighting it to me in DC. It arrived the day before I started my new job and I can’t say enough about how important that was.This place is a gem.

When the fan in my 6 year old laptop stopped working I was at a loss. I really didnt want to buy a new machine (having just spent $1300 on a car repair) but gosh - how can I live without Ravelry and Facebook and Google news?The kid at Staples told me theyd have to send the laptop out and it would cost about $350, saw my shock and then lowered his voice saying Green Earth Computers in Northampton can fix it cheaper and faster. The next day I went down to Croft Avenue and was impressed with professionalism and helpfulness.I am very pleased. I have a new fan and fan housing and everything seems to be running fine. Im writing this because todays E-mail brought a follow-up note asking if the laptop was still running ok. Can you imagine -- they want to make sure they fixed my problem!!! OMG -- Guess theyve made a fan for life.

Friendly staff, took care of my iPhone lightening connector which I thought was failing but actually had lint from being in my pocket. Replaced the battery in a short time too.
