We have stayed here several times. Always rented a house when we went and they were always clean and tidy with updated furniture and décor. This resort has a great location, across the street there is a huge shopping area with plenty of great restaurants and shops to choose from. Youre also not far from another large shopping mall area and downtown Myrtle Beach with all of those games and bars. The beach is very nice and so are the pools and hot tubs. We never had any problems with any of the services offered at this resort. If you dont have a pool, you can call the concierge and they will send a golf cart to come pick you up and take you to the pools/beach area which is really nice, the only downside is something you might be waiting and decide to walk. One time we were a part of a wedding also. The venue was very nice and the space was perfect for a medium sized wedding. The restaurant on the resort also has amazing steaks.I have nothing bad to say about this place whatsoever. The only thing I would look at is the time of year you go. We typically go in the beginning of Fall or end of Summer. One time the swim up bar was closed for the season which was a bummer since its the only way to easily get drinks and food by the water.I would recommend anybody to stay here if you are looking to vacation in the Myrtle Beach area!
Few staff available for assistance, no room service, no housekeeping for a week-long stay, condo was dirty (trash from the previous guests, toilets not cleaned), no concierge to help schedule activities or reserve beach chairs or umbrellas on the “private” beach. On the property, the pools were cloudy/dirty, few guests actually social distancing and/or wearing masks, and no staff monitoring the property to enforce covid regulations. There was no security available, and a guests pool bag was stolen when she went to take her kids to the bathroom. Only giving 2 stars because the view was nice.
Beautiful decor, very comfortable, had a suite with a beautiful ocean view.
We stay here every year we always get a 5 bedroom this year we have less people so we downgraded to a 3 but after reading all these negative and bad reviews I’m nervous to even come on our trip in august. Like what is going on??!!! Everyone is saying how dirty it is and how everything is broke. We have been coming here for years. I’m wondering should we stay else where? I don’t want to waste almost $3,000 to be unhappy. We love north beach plantation. But I must say I’m very nervous for this year as I’ve read all these reviews that have been posted in the past 1-2 months they are all awful reviews I’m crossing my fingers for a good stay... and also are the golf carts really not working? We love the resort for that main reason.
Positive: Location Negative: Room maintenance
Ok first to the room/condo we had:sufficient space, nice kitchen and bed. the pullout couch as well as the rest of the furniture dated. Found a rubberband on the couch mattress when we opened it up but covered it with 2 bedsheets to at least it felt like it was clean. There was only one window in the bedroom and no balcony, very limited natural light with zero view of an exterior wall and it overall had a musty smell which made me buy some airwick candles to cover it.I usually only write reviews if service/accommodations were either super good or absolutely terrible. this was an average MB experience although the grounds/pool and beach of this resort are the nicest to me. Pools were very crowded in the peak hours, no social distancing possible and hotel had to be booked at FULL capacity. What really ticked me off was that my son left his air pods in our room and service personal denied having found them. We were able to track them with the air pod app and they were 100% taken! I called several times and was promised to get a call back from the supervisor of the cleaning crew, which never happened. I would like to believe that a matter like this (at a resort of this caliber) should have been handled more professional and with more care. Make sure you double check you packed everything before you check out or your stuff will be gone!Needless to say, this was our LAST stay at Plantation at North MB based on this experience
The beach was lovely!
North Beach Resort Is Always A Pleasure
My boyfriend and I got a 1 bed 1 bath cottage here and stayed for 6 days. We absolutely loved it! It was very clean, had a comfortable bed, and the staff was very friendly. The resort offers a great shuttle service that you can either call or if you start walking towards the beach/pools/anywhere else on the resort, they normally drive by and will offer to pick you up. I dont quite understand people who are complaining about the shuttle... you literally only have to start walking and wave one down. It takes almost no effort to get a shuttle. In addition, the hotel pools were great and the resort is reasonably quiet. I will definitely be back!
Very clean and the Staff was very kind and professional!
My partner and myself stayed at this property for four days. It was very relaxing. We were in a two bedroom townhouse(privately owned) it was very clean and spacious. Everyone at the check in office were awesome. They went over everything they had to offer at the property. Our experience was more than what we expected. They cart that took us around the property to various locations were always there within minutes of calling. Our over all stay was beyond our expectations and will definitely be back next year.
Beautiful property and home!!! Great resort amenities and beach access! I enjoyed it so much I came back in a month to bring my mom and daughter and the second cottage was even better than the first! Only complaint was parking for the 1br cottages! There should be at least one designated spot per unit. Parking passes are provided but were not enforced. The welcome center and resort has the best staff!!!
Love the shuttle! Great for my grandma! I played giant chess with my son and I love the variety of pools! Would consider coming back.
Hilton prices with Motel 6 Service. After being shoved into a lightless hole as our cottage we were surprised the next morning by the other guests who had been assigned our room. Instead of an immediate apology, we were then treated to half an hour of interrogation by the staff, who appeared to have absolutely no idea that we had checked in the day before. The shear number of broken or non-functional amenities in the cottage was truly breathtaking, from remotes lacking batteries to the ice maker in the fridge that would make, but not dispense, ice.The free shuttle service to take us to the beach area invariably required two or three calls over the course of half an hour to actually show up.Check into a cheap motel instead, the accommodations will be approximately the same, but the price will definitely be better.
Dirty pools
Fancy place! Well be staying here for the first time this fall. Its usually too expensive during the peak tourist season. Beautiful property, rooms, and pools!
Check-in is a disaster. Be prepared for 30-45 minutes in line, then a rude attendant when you finally get to the front.
Besides all of the possible if you lose it fees, this place was great. Friendly service, free WiFi, lots of amenities, shuttle/short walk to the beach
If your staying here and eating at the poolside cafe you better check your credit card receipts someone on the staff is adding $25.00 to the bills and it must be common practice because none of the management cares
Well Im sorry folks if you wanna hear that this place is great! Ok, granted the reception, pools and amenities are a given feature that has come to be accepted. WiFi, sure, towels, wrist bands for fitness , pools, check.But. When it came to the cleanliness of my room, the fact my dresser drawer fell out the bottom, the fridge leaking from the cold water tap, reminded I Hat of all trades should have brought some tools to fix stuff rather than report. But hey, Im a realist. Things dont always go right. There is an ocean, friendly people and a professional staff. A well stocked kitchen, washer/dryer , this place is wealthy of 4 stars. Enjoy ur visit, folks. Golfing later. Sweet!
Very quiet neighborhood. The resort features many pools and beach access, poolside bar, etc.. Will definitely make a return visit
This place far exceeded my expectations for Mytrtle Beach! We took a family vacation with a toddler, and there was something for everyone. We stayed in a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom cottage rather than at North Beach Plantation, but we got all the benefits of the resort. Our cottage was beautiful, nicely maintained and furnished, and had all the comforts of home (i.e. Washer/dryer, huge kitchen with all modern appliances, etc.). Expect to walk or use the shuttle if you choose the cottages rather than the towers. However, the walk was very manageable even with toting beach gear for the whole family and walking with a toddler. The shuttle drivers picked up and dropped off quickly, and they were all so friendly. The pools were beautiful, but our kiddo preferred the beach. The resort offers two places for quick beach access with plenty of places to rinse all the sand off. We wanted for nothing but overpacked! I want to go back! Id recommend this place to anyone, as there was a good mix of the college crowd, young at hearts, and families with kids of all ages.
I found myself almost completely alone at White Point Swashs inlet from the sea. Blue crab, Sand Pipers, and a single Crane were my companions at 530ish a.m.
Omg the 2 bedroom condo is beautiful
Nice place. Super noisy with the restaurants and construction close by.
Havent stayed but the homes are beautiful
Great location and beautiful
