Lou Martino has handled funerals for our family members over the years, with a wide variety of services. From full traditional services to cremations and chapel services. We are always grateful for the compassion, care and professionalism we get with Cumberland Chapels. The facilities are very nice and the funeral home makes sure all of our needs are addressed and met. They coordinate the services with flower, church and cemetery arrangements as well. I would highly recommend them as one of the best funeral homes in the area.

Cumberland has taken care of both family and friends services over the last several years. We have had several specialized services due to public service careers with the City of Chicago (firefighter, police, etc.) and different faith denominations as well that required extensive additional detail. Each service went perfectly, without error.Our family has always used Abbey for services at Cumberland. She has done an incredible job every time and has made each service a special experience. She is communicative, detail-oriented, and adjusts to any needs we may have. From the moment that I called Cumberland Chapels, I knew the were a class act. They were the only ones to say Sorry for your loss on the phone. I knew then that they cared and it was not all about business for them. Their concern and empathy from that initial interaction carried through the entire process. I had to take care of the arrangements for my father and it was my first experience doing this. Abbey was so helpful and patient. She made me feel comfortable and was very understanding. She was very quick to respond to me. The entire staff makes themselves available for you in this difficult time. She and Darien were amazing every step of the way. Darien even helped me play my fathers favorite song during the service. That was very special. The services for my dad were perfect. Truly grateful to them for not only their professional and top notch services, but for making this difficult experience a bit easier.

The entire staff is very accommodating and empathetic – they are true professionals. Our funeral director, Darrin, went above and beyond. He was quick to respond to all our requests and needs for my fathers service.

The staff are very compassionate and caring. I was unable to attend a service and had some problems with my flower arrangement not making it in time for the service. They made it happen for me! It made my heart happy during a sad time.
