Very disappointed in the service department. We took our Fiat in to figure out why the break light would turn off and on while driving. They told us it was a sensor and replaced it. We took the car home and that didnt fix the issue. They didnt even check to see if that fixed the problem before having us take it home! When we contacted them they said to bring it in again. We brought the car back and they said must be a loose wire, Sorry 🀷. Soooo they replaced a sensor that didnt need to be replaced and didnt fix the issue I took it in for. $600 later and nothing is fixed. What a joke.

On Wednesday, I called Pomoco Fiat in Newport News to schedule an oil change. The person who took my call quoted me an estimate of seventy to one hundred fifteen dollars. The difference in price was contingent upon whether or not my Fiat required synthetic oil.On Thursday, I called Pomoco and canceled my Saturday appointment as I could not come to terms with paying over one-hundred dollars for one oil change. On Friday, I contacted Southern Fiat in Norfolk to compare prices. I was greeted by Keanu, who was very professional, polite, and helpful. Keanu informed me that regardless of whether my Fiat required synthetic oil, the price would not exceed seventy dollars and that he could fit me in the same day I called. Just forty-five minutes after I called, and despite the customary delays that come with COVID-19, my Fiat 500 was inside a vehicle bay at Southern Fiat.I drove away from Southern in a little over an hour, even though the waiting room was packed (with people wearing facemasks and social distancing).Wow, now that’s the kind of service that creates loyal customers!Based on my contact with Keanu and the Southern Fiat staff, I will gladly drive the 45 minutes to get my oil changed, and I live five minutes from Pomoco Fiat.To make my experience even better, I purchased three oil changes that same day for $100.00 despite needing synthetic oil, and I have two years to use the remaining two oil changes. Thank you, Keanu! You are awesome, sir.

This is a review about their service department. They seem to overbook and then just recommend the customer to get a rental car when they cannot do same day service. My car was in the shop for a week. The communications lacked: I dropped the car of on Thursday morning, they called me on Saturday afternoon as they had just started to work on the car. Unfortunately, I was left with a feeling that they oversell you services, I received a long list of things that were allegedly wrong with my car and I am pretty confident that most of the items listed were unnecessary. A woman in the waiting room said to me that they come to every customer with a long list of repairs and things to add to the bill. Their pricing is questionable and not very clearly presented. I asked for military discount and it was supposed to be 5 % for labor and 5 % for parts, I received less than 1% discount and the clerk said that the discount cannot be applied to already discounted prices. However, one has no way to know what the actual prices and discount prices are because they are not listed on the invoice.

This review is mainly for their service department. We have purchased two Fiats from this dealership and should have looked at reviews beforehand. It has been a nightmare dealing with their service department these past few years.1. They never answer the phone. Sometimes it just rings, and rings, and rings. Then if youre lucky you get a voicemail. Most of the voicemails promise to call you back within an hour. Try getting them to call you back in a day. If you finally get through to someone and voice your frustrations concerning the difficulty in getting someone on the phone, you are treated like a child and told that the dealership is busy and that you will just have to wait. I dont understand why these customer service employees are not given a course in customer service.2. The service. Which is much more important. Oil changes - no problem. Tire rotations - hold the phone. You better mark your tires. My father has gone there twice to get tires rotated. We always mark our tires before. Both times, the tires were never rotated. One of the times, my dad even told the guy after, I marked the tires. I know which ones are in the rear and which ones are in the front. The employee fought with my dad for a while then took the car to the back. When he came back with the car the second time, THE TIRES WERE STILL NOT ROTATED. After fighting with them again, we got a refund.Luckily, our last car is no longer under warranty and we will NEVER be going back to the fiat dealership or their service department ever again to purchase any cars or have our cars serviced. Its laughable that they are trying to sell Alfa Romeos there now. If I purchased one of those cars, and then had to deal with their service department, Id lose it. NEVER buy a car here or risk dealing with the most incompetent service department for the entirety of your warranty.

This review is for the Service Department:I own a late model Fiat, and had it towed here because it wouldnt start. In the end it was just the battery. The service and battery were comped. The reason for this review isnt the quality of their work or the prices, but rather for the lack of communication with me on a simple issue like a dead/old battery, and the inefficient processes in their office. My car was there for over one week. Five days in, no techs had looked at my car, and all I could get on the phone from a Rep was excuse after excuse, apologies, and assurances that someone would get right on it. By Saturday morning, no one had gotten on it yet. So on day eight, I went there personally to follow up and escalate with a manager. I suspect that if I hadnt gone there personally, my car would probably still be sitting on their lot, ignored, just as my calls were being ignored. When you go into the Service Department offices, you can tell that everyone is really overwhelmed. The whole place is just riddled with inefficiencies. You see a million signs trying to sell you on extended warranties, but there are zero signs displaying their Mission Statement or Service Principles to provide quality service to their customer base. There are papers everywhere, customer car keys everywhere, few smiles on the staffs faces, and very little eye contact when they address you. Their printers - used to print off customer invoices (with your address, VIN#s, names, phone numbers, etc) - are located just next to where customers stand to wait their turn. In one short glance, I could read about five different customers invoices. That means I could also have read addresses and other information on peoples invoices if I wanted to. And if I really wanted to, I probably could have taken those documents and walked right out. I dont think they are breaking any rules or codes by having the printers where they do, but it just rubs me the wrong way that Management doesnt have the business printer behind the desk, so as to at least try to protect the customers papers and private information. What customer wants their private information (like my address) available for anyone to see/read like that?I wont ever take my business there again. Too much chaos and disorganization. Some employees are polite and really do seem sincere when apologizing for delays, but probably because apologizing is something they have to do frequently.

Southern Fiat was a great choice to purchase a new car. We easily negotiated a price, and they even worked with USAA, Military, and other discounts. They had friendly service, and worked quickly to help us drive away in exactly the car we wanted.

I didnt want to give a one star but I had to. This is the absolute worst dealership Ive been to. They fixed my car for a water leak in the floor board and the technician wrote me up for $220 and they ended up trying to charge me over $300 and the technician Duane got upset and tried to get a attitude when I tried to correct him saying he couldve charged me more. The cashier Pepa fixed it she was great! Other than that dont go here.

I hadnt been looking for my new car for long and wasnt really sure what I was looking for or how much I could afford. The salesperson Caneshas was very nice, patient and informative. It was so refreshing to look for a car without all the rush and pressure that other dealerships have given me.i now have a better understanding of what Im looking for and how much I can afford. I will be back very soon to see Canesha with my business!

Waited 1.5 hours for an oil change. Told it would be 2 more hours. Left called to make an appointment was told it is against the law in Virginia to make an appointment for an oil change. Called back talked to the manager he said that is not true. He told me to come first thing in the morning and it will be fast! I was there first thing in the morning.

Had their team texting and calling me until I agreed to come down and look at a car. I had asked to verify if the car I wanted was at their store. They said yes. Also said I was preapproved. Drove 2 hours. Waited for a long time in their Fiat Show Room which apparently no one works in, but its not posted anywhere that we shouldve gone to the other building. Turns out the car I came there for wasnt there after all. They had the more expensive model. They couldnt even approve me for it. The sales woman was still trying to call me while I was on a test drive with someone else from their dealership to ask if as I was still planning on coming in. They obviously dont communicate. I told them I wasnt interested in anything else and left. They continued to harass me with texts and phone calls for the next few days about used vehicles....

I bought my car here two years because I really wanted a Fiat. During the purchase process, I had to repeatedly sit and wait for various people to show up. The whole process took about 6 hours, which I thought was ridiculous! My salesperson was nice, but I didnt appreciate having to wait an hour for the person who sells all the extras packages when I specifically told them I was not interested in any upsells to begin with.My review is mostly dependent on my latest service visit. I called on Friday, October 14th and spoke to a woman in the service department. I told her that I needed to schedule an inspection, oil change, tire pressure check, replace a brake light and also get interior detailing. I told her that I would need a shuttle to work, and she said she would make my appointment for 8am so that I could take the 8:30 shuttle to work. When I arrived at 8am, they seemed to have trouble locating me in the system. Then the service person asked me if I had an appointment, and what was it for. I was like....isnt all that in the computer? Apparently not. So I went over the details again and also restated that I needed the 8:30 shuttle to work. She said great, have a seat in the lounge. Well, 8:30 came and went. I looked out the window and saw the shuttle leaving with ONE person. I waited until about 8:50 and went to the cashier asking when the shuttle would be back. She called him and asked him.... He came back around 9:20.... So I actually ended up getting to work TWO hours late instead of 1 because they forgot to tell the shuttle driver he had another 8:30 passenger.I never heard anything about my car ALL DAY. Starting at 3:30 I kept calling the service department for the next hour and a half. I was never actually able to speak to a real live person about whether or not my car was ready. I called 9 times and was always transferred to someones voicemail.I finally just showed up a little after 5pm. Had to look around for someone to talk to and finally get my car. They said it was ready to go.... But when I got to my car, the interior cleaning and detailing had not been done, as I had requested. All in all, it was a very frustrating experience. The good thing is that I get free oil changes and inspections. However, if I had to deal with all that again, Id probably just go to some place closer and faster and actually pay to have that done.

They dont answer their phones, fail to put appointments in the system routinely. I made two appointments for my wifes car. The lady wrote them on a scratch piece of paper, but never put them in the computer. So when we show up they dont know about the appointment. They are not very knowledgeable about what is going on in there own shops when you can actually get a hold of someone. If they were not the only Fiat dealer in my area I would not deal with them at all. I also would never recommend anyone buy a Fiat, they are total garbage cars.My wifes car has 35k miles on it and is a 2012. We have had to replace a window motor that never gets used, paint is coming off, electronic locks stopped working.

Came in to check out the new fiat 124 and possibly test drive it. We were looking around the showroom and sat in a car to check out the interior and room. A sales associate showed up and didnt even greet us with a hey welcome to southern fiat or how can I help you, instead we got a blunt and uninviting um, can I help you..? Brushing off the saleswomans initial tone I informed her about our interest in a 124 spider and potentially being able to test drive one. Before I could even finish she had to interrupt with a are you even a serious buyer, or are you just trying to take it out for fun (her tone remained the same attacking and demeaning one as before). Even after expressing the time frame of when we were looking to make a purchase and some background she still never showed interest and gave blunt, uninthusiatic responses to every question we posed about the 124 as we looked around it and inside it. Finally I had enough of her death glare and tone and we decided to leave. Couldnt test drive the 124 as the only one outside was being shipped to another dealership and she complained that theyd have to refill it with gas and move it out of the showroom, which is understandable, but really two dollars in gas is that much of a trouble for a potential buyer? As we walked out she told us well come back when youre serious and interested and yeah Goodluck with that, not with the attitude of your sale associates.
