Typical bait and switch realtor in NYC. The broker Nathan Gulkar was incredibly unprofessional, do not waste your time. He changed the time that we were supposed to meet three times. When I got to the apartment he was 20 minutes late. I called and texted him, but he did not answer. He was supposed to show me three different apartments but only had enough time to show me two and wanted me to meet with him AGAIN an hour and a half later because he had overbooked. The apartments that I wanted to see looked nothing like the pictures, they were disgusting and horribly maintained. There are tons of brokers is on the upper Eastside, stay away from this one.*Update- The only reason I was contacted was because i called the office and was hung up on then they want me to take down my review. Second, it was not a matter of “opinion” regarding the apartments. The broker refused to show me the apartment I originally contacted him about saying he had others that were “better” and the others were dilapidated. All of the photos online were photoshopped and staged. The actual units are unlivable. Feel free to check them out and see for yourself.

Yes - it is expensive to work with a realtor, but to be honest, it is impossible to find good apartments in NYC while avoiding a fee. Alpha has a great number of exclusive inventory that is worth every penny.Joe was a pleasure to work with - he was honest, and knew exactly what I wanted. I was able to find an apartment i loved, apply, and get approved in a matter of a couple of days. No stress. Highly recommended!

Nadav was such a great broker! Super responsive, even during the holidays to help me find a great apartment in Alphabet City. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a place in downtown Manhattan. He made the whole experience very personable and was also very honest and open about the process which I really appreciated. Would definitely ask for him again if I need to find a new place.

I worked with Omer Levy to find a place in the Lower East Side. He was amazing to work with! Hes incredibly responsive, punctual, and honest. Also, he has a great pulse on the market and can show you stuff before it even is being shown to others. He also helped me negotiate rental rate with the landlord...and helped me with the situation during COVID. My lease started April 1 and due to COVID, I couldnt move in until May 15. He helped me get those 1.5 months of rent waived. Couldnt recommend Omer more highly!

I had a great experience with Joe Mor. He was very receptive to my feedback and asked meaningful questions to understand my preferences. Each place he showed me was on point and demonstrated his receptiveness. Joe didnt waste my time pushing places on me that were not of interest. Throughout the process he was very transparent and responsive. He was extremely organized and knowledgeable of every place. I would recommend him to anyone. Joe was great in his timeliness and working with the leasing company. Needed a quick change in apartments and he was extremely prompt in getting back to me which ultimately allowed me to get into the place I was looking at specifically. Had he been like several other agents around the city, the delay in time wouldve prevented me from getting my application in and I might not have found an apartment as nice. Highly recommended.

I had high hopes for working with this company. Joe Mor was not the right agent for me, for a number of reasons.His brokers fee started at $2,100 and I asked if he could come down at all during the pandemic and he said he could do $1,500. Before he showed me the apartment he said I get first dibs because I am the first one to see it. The moment I told him I wanted the apartment he said I could have it but I would have to pay the full broker price. I didnt budge and I said ok, but I didnt appreciate how he suddenly switched his price when I said I wanted the apartment.I learned when reading the lease that landlord does not pay for heat and that the tenant pays heat. I had already switched ConEd to this new address because I was ready to move in and was approved for the apartment. ConEd called me to confirm the address change and in between this time I asked Joe M. what a ConEd bill would typically be a month. He kept telling me how I really need a tenant that would not cause any problems to this landlord the tenant needs to be really easy going and not cause any trouble in all the years I have showed apartments no one has ever asked me how much an electrical bill is.I later found out from ConEd that a February electrical bill was $170, December $150, I have lived in New York 31 years, and never paid more than $110 for an even bigger apartment. What really bothered me, any time I asked Joe a question kept casually telling me how he really needs a good tenant for this landlord someone that will be easy going and not cause any problems I have a 750 credit score, I provided 2 years of proof I have paid my rent on time, references, and a guarantor.I told him straight up, anytime I ask you a question you come back with how I am difficult and you need a good tenant for this landlord and it doesnt make me feel comfortable that you feel l cant ask a question. To top it all off, he made things difficult because the woman couldnt even get out of the apartment on the 1st of the month and he asked me to wait at first 10 days then 3/4 days, leaving me to quickly find another apartment because I had someone moving into my apartment on the first.Joe Mor, dont tell a client that is paying you $2,100 that you met once for five minutes that you cant be difficult whenever someone has a legitimate question. Might sound strange but I doubt he would speak to a man the way he spoke to me. I am not saying dont use Alpha Properties of Joe Mor but the situation just didnt work for me.

Joe was really wonderful in helping my friend and I find a place fast! He actually got us a wonderful two bedroom within our budget in just over a day. He was great with answering questions and showing us what we asked for us and making it a speedy and painless process. Highly recommend!
