They are doing a good job with covid 19 issues. It just seems more often than not that my haircut is not very good. I have found someone that I am happy with and that is Julie at Phils barbershop. Its only a couple blocks over. Better haircut and easier to get Appointment.

I got a great haircut here at a reasonable price. I wish I could remember my Barbers name, and honestly am ashamed that Ive forgotten it. This is a traditional barbershop where you can get a quality haircut, talk about sports and politics and life or whatever else you want, and have a thoughtful listener and conversational cut your hair. Only went here out of convenience, but I shouldve read the reviews first. I wasnt greeted. Which is okay maybe youre having a bad day, but other customers who werent regulars got greeted warmly. Then I ask for a haircut and a clean beard shave, the barber says that the razor guy is only there Fri and Sat, I was there on a Sunday. I say oh I didnt realize that, thank you anyway and proceed to turn around when the barber rudely says well, its right there on the wall. And Im like okay got it thanks, I didnt see the frame on the wall. Wasnt asked to come back another day, wasnt asked if Id like a beard trim. Just generally felt unwelcome. If you like it here, good for you, but Ill be taking my business elsewhere

I went into this shop on 1-19-2020 to get a haircut. I was not greeted there was only one guy working and he didnt greet anyone. He was very focused on the football game. After 45 minutes of waiting to get my hair cut I get up and show the barber multiple pictures of what i want. He notices hey thats not you but said he understood what I wanted. I just want the sides of my head shaved and a few inches left on top to spike back. Well maybe 10 minutes after the hair cut began the barber was finished. My hair was much shorter than I wanted it to be and the top of my head was shaved narrow kinda like a mohawk. Also the whole time Im sitting in the chair the barber was be very aggressive with the scissors. He was cutting hard and my hair kept getting pulled. I dont like the haircut I was given or the service I received.

This is one of the last great barbershops in the city. Just old fashioned dudes talking about sports. Nice, professional cuts for Yalies and townies alike. Id recommend this place to anyone. Just be aware that its cash only.

You know that you got a bad haircut when you get home and feel that you need to re-cut it. My beard had a patch that I didnt notice too! Wouldnt recommend it. No skills. 3 stars for the TV and the hospitality.

How are you going to leave uneven patches on the side of someone’s head. The back of the head was left was a circular corner and then a 90 degree corner. The student working there was able to get his way into Yale but isn’t able to cut hair. What is this! Don’t go here guys, if they are careless to let a guy who has little to no experience cutting hair be in charge of this, they’ll do it again.
