The CT tech Nancy was fabulous!!! I was extremely nervous and Nancy was so kind and patient. I have been for other tests, and Nancy is by far the best I’ve ever had! First appointment and still waited over 30 minutes to have someone tell me its going to take over an hour. Doctors and facilities like this where the cost of the imaging is so high, should have better customer service. No one really cares or has any empathy for the customer anymore.

I checked in and after 35 minutes I inquired as to how much longer the team thought it would be. I was met with a snippy, Well, have you registered yet? To which I replied that I had not yet been called over. It took 44 minutes for someone to call my name to register for my x-ray. There was another person waiting for an x-ray who was also left waiting.The x-ray technician team was pleasant and efficient. It took less than 5 minutes once I was called into the room.

Its a mixed bag. Sometimes its good and other times it is not. Its good for x-rays and dexa scans... not so much for ultrasound, as Ive seen better imaging in that arena in other facilities.I had a problem where they charged me a $90 copayment for an abdominal ultrasound. They did send me a check and reimbursed me, since I wasnt supposed to pay that. Many at the front desk are untrained, which is not their fault. They didnt understand the codes on my prescription.They told me they did not do the radius arm bone on a dexa at all... and yet they do, its just that they include it in the original code when you have certain health conditions. My doctor wrote out two codes and that was correct, but they have a different way they do things and it had nothing to do with changes to the codes as I looked up those changes. It led to massive confusion. The tech, luckily, knew what to do.I had another problem with a crabby ultrasound tech. She was horrible to me. She did not give me a towel to wipe myself off. I wanted to take my shirt off so it wouldnt get wet with gel and she wouldnt let me and did not give me a gown for my upper body during an abdominal ultrasound.I asked some questions before I went in and she would not talk to me. She just stared at me, arms folded across her chest, and told me to lay on the table. The table had huge rips in it and the sheet on the table looked dirty. I didnt want to lay on it. The room was dirty in general.This tech is not what Im used to when I go there. She barked orders at me to breath in and out so fast that I couldnt get the next breath in before she barked at me to breath out. It was a disaster and I got dizzy. I had to stop. She was annoyed.I walked out of there with a sopping wet shirt and everyone in the waiting room look at me in shock. It was so embarrassing. The entire front of my shirt was soaking wet with the gel. I realize it does not stain and I wore an older shirt. This was the first time that I ran into a tech who was rather nasty.This was not my first abdominal ultrasound and it should not have gone that way. Very unpleasant experience and the ultrasound pictures looked like something from the 1980s.When I needed a scan for something else, I went to Westchester Hospital in Valhalla. The techs were super and the radiologist came and talked to me. They keep their doors open, imagine that! A radiologist even answered questions over the phone before I went. The equipment is up to date and they have very advanced nuclear scanning techniques.Lately I realize its better to cross the bridge and head to Westchester, as they lay out appointments nicely and everything is timely. Even crossing the bridge twice is faster than waiting 45 minutes in the HVRA/Mid Rockland Imaging waiting rooms. Why bother with them anymore, when a radiologist at Westchester has their door open to you.

Everyone at the front desk was kind and patient, friendly and profession- No one at all among the staff appeared rush or cold and distant. All that, unfortunately is not the norm in the medical industry and all that makes all the difference to patients undergoing serious tests and exams. The whole operation moved so smoothly and efficiently- Paper work was done on- line for the most part and none of us spent more than 5 minutes in any of the waiting rooms. I had 2 procedures today: a mammogram and a bone density test. I was out of there in less than 45 minutes. Im impressed and appreciative

What a terrible, uncaring, reckless facility! I’ve been calling them for days to get a copy of my records and have gotten nothing but a runaround from their unhelpful, clueless employees who all acted as if no one ever asked them for a copy of their records before, passing me from one person to the next. In the end, when I didn’t know what else to do, I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told that she would call me. She never did. The worst part was when I finally decided to drive to their office to talk to someone about this, I saw one of the doctors, leaving the building and she told me that everyone was gone. I tried to explain to her what was happening to me, and all she kept saying was “I don’t know anything about that, I’M JUST TRYING TO CLOSE THIS DOOR” That from a doctor! You’d think that a doctor, especially at a place like radiology, where time is of essence and some matters can truly be life or death important and urgent, would at least want to know about an issue like this and would try to help in some way. But no, all she cared about was leaving, as soon as possible. How can one trust their health and life to a place a like this, to a doctor like this? I can’t and won’t. I will never go back and I’ll be sure to warn others as well. Someone’s life could depend on it.

My appointment was at 2 and they asked me to come at 1:45. They didn’t take me for paperwork until 2:30. I had to wait again and they didn’t take me for my test u til 2:45. The tech was amazing though as was the paperwork woman. Overall excellent staff but the wait time was too long

People were nice. However, they told me the procedure would take 45 minutes at most. I got there on time but they took almost 2 hours to complete it. I was late for work which is what I was trying to avoid with an early appointment. Ive been there so many times and this hasnt happened before. Usually they are very quick and thorough.

I walked in for a chest X-ray. The complete process only took 30 minutes from the time I walked in the door. There were plexiglass shields between seats in the waiting. Staff were very efficient and courteous.

We havent actually worked with this group due to their inability to hold a scheduled appointment. We are working parents with newborn twins, and twice this group has re-scheduled our appointments within 30 minutes of the actual appointment. Then, upon calling them to figure out whats going on, its a mess to figure out what actually happened. This place seems disorganized and theyve been unprofessional in our short time trying to work with them - other than Lydia, the receptionist, who was very sweet and tried to help. Based on our experience, I would recommend against this group.

Although I had to wait for my appointment, my nurse Anna, was amazing! She made sure that I was comfortable and understood the steps that were going to take place during my procedure. She reassured me that I was going to be okay and heard any and all of my concerns. The doctor that performed my procedure was just as great! He walked me through every step of the procedure, making sure I was comfortable and not in pain. Overall, I was extremely happy with my appointment today.

I needed to get x-rays. They were very nice, but I had to wait at least an hour before I was called in. That was the only downside. The girl that checked me in was very nice, as was the x-ray tech. The place was clean and safety measures were in place for the pandemic.

You know, I have put this off for months. I am claustrophobic and have dreaded getting an MRI. A previous attempt at a site with an open MRI was so unbearable I had to call off the exam. Today was the best MRI experience I have ever had. I asked for the room with the wider MRI and that was a help. My technician Jaimie (sp.?) was so pleasant and understanding. I was made very comfortable and with the ear plugs and eye mask I did not get anxious at all. From reception to check out everything went so smoothly and pleasantly. Everything was very clean. Lockers with combinations instead of keys was easier than dealing with a key. Almost looking forward to another one but not quite.

It was a very positive experience. I will say that I provided registration documents ahead of time and used the social distancing check-in process. The staff was friendly and entire process efficient. My procedure was quick and I was done in 15 minutes. Highly recommended.

What a great and professional staff works there! I went there for my first mammogram and everyone was extremely nice, understanding and prepared. There was almost no wait and before going in I fill out all my paper work online and checked in by phone. I felt safe in this facility. Everyone was wearing a masks, seats were spaced out 6 feet away from each other and there was no extra people allowed unless they were called to come in.Thank you all professionals that works there for a such an amazing job!

The only reason they get one star was because the technician was so nice! Besides for that it was an awful experience. Me being a very responsible person, I checked in exactly when they told me to (15 minutes before my appointment) and followed all rules/directions. Unfortunately, because of a clearly very irresponsible staff, I was forced to wait in the parking lot for over an hour because they FORGOT TO CALL ME. If I hadn’t taken the initiative to call them, there is a good chance I’d have perished in that parking lot as I had been fasting that day. Once I got in, the person at the desk was very curt, borderline rude, and unapologetic for what had transpired. I honestly didn’t care so much because I was so focused on just finishing up and getting back to my busy schedule but good customer service could’ve made a big difference. I will say though, one of the other employees did apologize to me for the inconvenience which was nice, especially seeing as it wasn’t her fault. I do not wish to use this card, however, I must add that they then had my name written down as “German” instead of Berman (I’m Jewish by the way). Whilst I understand and believe it was a mistake, employees should be careful to spell patients names correctly to avoid situations like these, or general mix ups. Terrible experience at Hudson Valley Radiology Associates!!

I had an appointment scheduled for 2:30 pm. I arrived earlier and waited in my car outside the facility. I did a virtual checkin due the current pandemic. Within 25 minutes I received my text message to proceed in to Window 7.There the lady took my info, photo ID and insurance cards.I waited maybe another 10 minutes to be called in for my test.All in all I would say the entire system at Hudson Radiology is running very smooth.Thank you.

I was not happier with radiologist who insisted a lumin my breast was a bruise. Even after telling her I had not injured or had trauma to my breast. I told her I would know if I injured my breast her response... you would be surprise me with d I think its a bruise. Lets wait 3 months..

The MRI tech was great, friendly and very reassuring. My one suggestion would be to help people with claustrophobia, make available blindfolds, since claustrophobia is a visual fear I think it would help immensely. Keeps your eyes closed the entire time is doable, but tough.

After seeing my doctor during an evening appointment, I received a phone call early the next morning from Hudson Valley Radiology offering to schedule an appointment for my MRI. Shortly after the appointment was scheduled, I received an additional phone call from their insurance coordinator to help me get my insurance coverage approved. I thought that I would have to be the one to initiate both scheduling the appointment and dealing with getting insurance to authorize payment for the procedure. Hudson Valley Radiology beat me to the punch on both accounts. With cooperation from my physicians office and timely help from HVR, and taking into account bad weather (snow) causing the Radiology facility to close early, I was in and out out before they closed. Totally impressive time-line to accomplish what normally might take days between doctor, insurance and ultimately having the prescribed test. I saw the doctor and completed the test in less than 24 hours. AMAZING COORDINATION facilitated by Hudson Valley Radiology! Also, every employee on the phone and in person was courteous, kind and professional. I highly recommend Hudson Valley Radiology to handle routine X-rays, more specialized tests and other radiological treatments.

The staff was professional and courteous, but I had to cut a star out because of either a lack or unwillingness to communicate. I was told that appointments were being taken by my medial practitioner, but when I called to make an appointment I was told that Monday through Friday was by walk-in only. Well, I walk in on Wednesday and the first thing I was asked was if I had an appointment... I responded by saying I called two days prior to make an appointment and was told that only walk-ins were being taken. Because of a lack of appointment I was told to wait in my car until I was called to enter the building. When you’re in pain from walking ,which is the reason you’re there in the first place, it is not helpful to have to walk back and forth from the vehicle to the building.

I went to the Suffern location for an ultrasound and we arrived and waited for 10mins ringing the bell and waiting for someone to come. Once inside none of the printers were working so I was unable to fill in any consent forms prior to the appt. They tried to refuse my husband entry due to Covid however I was told prior he was able to attend. The tech was very cold and rude throughout the experience. Dont recommend!

My wife went for an x-ray at this location. Called and stated we were outside. They said someone will call and text you when they are ready. We waited outside and saw people going in and out and had not received a call or text. Finally, after an hour we went in and asked how long for the wait and one of the women at the front desk said Well, we called you, we even showed our phone to have her repeat the same thing again in her nasty unprofessional tone. The other person in the front took over and helped us. First impressions are very important and you shouldnt have people working in the front desk who are rude, abrasive and unprofessional.

Setting my appointment, the rep was patient and professional. Next, the easy electronic (via text) pre-registration was a snap and time-saver. Lastly, and most importantly, the day of my appointment. Easy check-in, minimal wait time. The exam went well, shout out to Rose, my technician, she was great. I highly recommend this facility.

This place is awful!! Don`t waste your time. I`ve been trying to schedule a time specific test for the last 2 months. Now I need to wait for another month because of them. Every time I call, a new story why they cannot schedule my appointment. The medical service was excellent. I was nervous prior to my procedure and had trouble using any calming tools/techniques with the TV blaring, empty walls and covid barriers. I would have loved instead pictures of nature, the beach, etcetera and perhaps calming, soothing music.

As is always the case, the front desk staff and the technicians were very professional and helpful. However, I must say that I was extremely disappointed in the lack of social distancing in the age of Covid. While the waiting room was appropriately spaced out, the interior waiting room, once you are already in a gown, was definitely not. There were 7 people waiting at once, for quite a long time. I waited a half hour there. I sat on a two person bench by myself, and another patient came and sat next to me. She was literally touching my leg, I had to get up and move. Patients and appointments should be spaced out better, so that they do not have to be in that small, windowless area for extended periods of time. I’m not sure I will return there until a better system is in place.

I was left waiting for more than an hour because my paperwork was mislaid. Finally found out when I went back to the reception desk. Get a better system so this does not happen again. Also when patients book appointments tell them to walk down to third awning to enter the facility. In inclement weather it is difficult for handicapped people to safely walk.

This place is awful. I was there for an ultrasound today and the front desk could care less. When I made the appointment I specifically asked to not have a specific Tech since I had such a poor experience with her. When I arrived at my appointment I was told I was suppose to have one tech and then the tech that I did not want comes out to take me in for my appointment. What’s the point of saying you don’t want someone when they give them to you anyways. I told the front desk to find me someone else which they did but it seems they can care less how their patients feel there. I feel they have the worst bedside manner at this place and this is not my first time having a poor experience there.

They took the deductible, copay and coinsurance prior to service and still after 6 weeks have not billed my insurance. As a result, my insurance has no record of me meeting my deductible and is still charging me for it. When HVRA will finally bill my insurance, I will need to run after them for the deductible they took prior to service. Do yourself a favor and use a radiology service that does not force you to pay prior to service .
