Late on a Friday evening, the tree next to my house decided to give out and fell on the roof. Oddly enough our internet cable and an old phone line running to the house was bearing most of the weight, but I knew it needed to be resolved quickly to protect the house from further damage. Luckily Moore & Smith kindly took my call when most other tree removal services were closed after hours. And despite having other planned projects the next morning, they came out right away, removed the tree from the house, and cleared up the debris in under 2 hours. They were great to work with, very honest, and were more than accommodating with my insurance agent. Im not hoping for any more tree related incidents, but if I find myself in a more urgent situation like this one, I would absolutely work them them again.

I had a huge maple tree that had many rotten limbs, the trunk was rotting, and it was dying. I am very impressed with the work done and the clean up! I am very pleased with the job and the price was reasonable. Someone in my neighborhood named Denise Costanza made a very negative review regarding Moore and Smith. She alleged they took advantage of me and cut down a healthy tree. The tree was not healthy. It had the potential to split in two. This would cause major damage. Nothing she said was true. I highly recommend Moore and Smith to anyone needing tree work done. They are very professional and honest. I am extremely satisfied with the job.

They did and amazing job. Definitely worth every penny. If you are thinking about calling them and have been putting it off then dont. In my case its a better deal to let the experts handle this instead of going up there and having and accident. They are friendly, professional and easy to work with. I highly recommend them.

We were very concerned about the Ash Beetle invasion, and wanted to get our trees, which are old and very large, treated before they were infected. Kasandra, the Arborist, came out and examined all my Ash trees as well as the Oaks I have on my property. A couple of my Oaks had spots and needed to be treated as well. The price seemed reasonable and the work was approved for the following Tuesday. The worker, Cory, came out on Saturday, which turned out to be great for me, since it was forecasted to rain the entire following week. He was very professional, taking care of all the trees contracted for as well as a couple others, “ as long as he was here”. It was a good experience and I rate their business highly. It’s nice to find someone, Kasandra and Cory, who care about trees as much as my husband and I do. Thank you.

Cassandra and Morgan came to the house and surveyed the work to be done. We had a massive River Birch that has limbs against the house and chimney, as well as draping badly over a neighbors driveway. Upon survey of the tree, Cassandra devised a plan of action, and not only completely put our minds at ease that it would be done correctly, but she proved she knew EXACTLY what she was talking about as an arborist. A true joy to work with.Despite her company’s earliest opening for work being almost a month out, she was able to have a crew come and perform the work in about a week, between their other jobs, because of the urgent need with the branches against the house.Her crew was professional, expedient, and they removed all debris (which was extensive on this job) before they departed. A few days later they had another crew come and not only ground down some tree stumps we had from a Crape Myrtle and remove all debris, but also ensure there was nothing outstanding or needing addressed from the previous work done.We have some tree work to be done in our backyard at the end of the summer, and you can be damned sure that we’ll be calling Cassandra and Morgan again for that work.*Edit* It should be noted that we took bids and surveys from six major tree service companies after talking first with Cassandra and Morgan. And after speaking with each company after them, we were more and more convinced that Moore and Smith was the company to go with. We’d ask detailed questions of each, and see the owners of other companies squirm in their answers, or in two cases, flat out lie to us, which would have cost us our tree. The ONLY company we spoke with that had the correct and truthful answers, proved they knew what they were doing, and actually cared as much about our tree as we do, was Moore and Smith.They weren’t the least expensive, and they definitely weren’t the most expensive either. Their price was fair and well worth the money for the quality of work and professionalism they showed. Truth be known, we’d have paid more to them regardless because they were the only company we felt we could, and do trust. This is one of those very rare companies that doing business with them and getting their commitment is a steal at three times the price.

The team sent out by Moore & Smith was the most professional tree service I have used to date, and I’ve used a few. We’ve lived in Nashville for over 30 years in the same house, surrounded by old, but beautiful trees. When we discovered that one of our tallest trees was dead, and located behind a property fence, I called around for estimates, knowing that it was going to be a big job. I also read reviews on the different companies. Moore & Smith seemed knowledgable and their price was reasonable. The team, of Nick, who was the chief climber, Cory and Rowdy showed up at the agreed upon time,. calling first so I could put my dogs up. They were incredibly professional. They did the job of removing the tall dead tree and did a reduction and removal of dead limbs from another large tree. They even removed several branches that were overhanging my roof at no extra charge. They walked me thru all of it, when they were done, giving recommendations on other old trees, and making sure I was satisfied with their work. The best part was that they cleared my yard of all debris making it look cleaner and better than before they came. They were efficient, extremely polite and thorough. Nick, Corey and Rowdy worked together as an experienced team to get the job done. I would recommend them most highly and will definitely be using them again..

Unprofessional! I expect professionals to honor a signed contract, and any disagreement within your company stays there. I do not appreciate an owner trash talking new employees to me the customer. If you think your workers are missing things in their proposal, that is your fault as the owner/ manager and not my fault as the customer. Talking to a customer this way about your internal issues reflects poorly on you, not your employee.Initially I received a proposal for $2850 for tree removal + $450 for stump grinding. A few days later, my bid was lowered to $2600 + $450. I signed the contract and sent a 20% deposit in good faith.A couple days later, owner Kasandra arrived unannounced to do a revised estimate, complained about working 100 hours a week, and talked poorly of her new employees who miss things, then proceeded add $1200 to the bid. We already had a signed contract! Now its $3850 + $450. She said if I didnt approve she would refund my deposit immediately.I thought about this, and wrote back that I would agree to the first proposed amount. M&S did resolve this situation by subbing out the job to Christian Cuts, who did a fine job with a nice crew of guys for $2850. Beware of the bait and switch. Do yourself a favor and skip Moore & Smith and go straight to Christian Cuts or another professional team.

This company was very good. I had a horrible experience with a different company, and this company came and showed immediate knowledge of the problems with my tree and how to best solve the problem. The wait time was a bit long of 3 weeks, but I would gladly wait if it meant using their services again in the future. I felt confident that I made the right choice in selecting them. We found Moore & Smith via Home Advisor, and we feel we won the jackpot. Kasandra (the arborist) responded quickly, and because of my schedule, while I stayed at the office, she walked around our property and assessed our trees with me by phone. The price was moderate and fair, and she sent me a copy of their insurance policies without any grumbling. The crew communicated well and often, keeping us in the loop if any scheduling needed to be altered, as ours was a multi-day affair, and weather was a pain.In the end, we were very happy with their professionalism and knowledge, making the process easy. They will be our first call from here on out.

We interviewed several tree services before settling on this particular company. Kassandra and her husband, the owners, made this an easy decision. They were extremely knowledgeable and honest. We needed a large tree removal in the front and considered a second tree removal in the back. After meeting with them, it was determined the front tree needed to go but the tree in the back was actually Healthy. Their knowledge, integrity, and efficiency made this a great experience. Having worked and help manage a customerservice company for 44 years.The customers are the reason we have a job. Every customer is important! The driver of the large lift truck came directly to my door and informed me of what was going to take place. Informed me that they were early and he was waiting on additional crew to show, about 10 min, behind him. He said if I had any concerns or questions, just let them know. While waiting, he starts picking up small branches that had fallen from both trees they were to remove. All three were hard workers and moved like a well oiled machine. The foreman, was not only a leader, he was a member of the 3 man hard working team. Was I pleased with their work and the clean-up of my property? One Word! OUTSTANDING ...................!

Moore & Smith Tree Service did an outstanding job with the many oaks and palms in our yard. We werent sure if we wanted tree removal, or just reduction (cut back) and when Tony came out to speak with us, he was very knowledgeable and gave me quotes for both scenarios. He informed me about the benefits of both, but never tried to sway me to take the more expensive route at all. The quoted price was more than fair and their communication was fantastic. I simply cannot express how diligent they are with their communication during the process and keeping you 100% in the loop during the project. Tony was amazing!!To add onto that, when the team came out to complete the tree work, they introduced themselves and walked around to each tree and discussed the work to be done with myself and my husband. One of the owners himself also came to our house the day of to discuss the project with us, and was very patient and knowledgeable with all of our questions and concerns.We were also very pleased with the work completed in the short amount of time (they are very efficient), along with the fact that the cleanup was so diligent you would not known they had even been there (aside from my trees looking amazing after). :)To top it off, Tony came by after to walk around with me again to make sure everything was done to my liking.Impeccable service, communication, and knowledge. I can not say enough good things about Moore & Smith Tree Service!I am in the market for a new privacy fence but had been told by the fence company that I would need to clear out several trees before I could proceed with getting the fence. I had tried to reach another tree company that I had dealt with in the past and could never get anyone respond to my phone calls, email or text. At that point I decided I needed to find a new tree service. I chose Moore & Smith due to all of the glowing reviews they received and I was NOT disappointed!! The very first time I called someone answered and was able to schedule an appointment for an estimate the very next day. Tony came out to my home the next day and gave me what I thought was a very fair estimate. Tony was very knowledgeable about the variety of trees in my yard and gave me great suggestions on how the fence line could be cleared without chopping down all the small palms that were there. I was very impressed and gave a deposit that day to proceed with the work. I was originally told that they were scheduled out about 2 weeks and I was fine with that, but to my surprise I got a call from Tony about 8-9 days later letting me know that they would be available the next day to do the tree work. When I arrived home after the tree work was done I was so very happy! They did a great job with all the tree work and the cleaned up. I will most definitely use Moore & Smith again for all my future tree needs!

Can’t recommend this company enough!!A tree fell on our roof and they came same day I called, worked late that day to get the tree off the roof, and handled everything with our insurance. The owner showed up, gave us her personal contact info, and made sure we were taken care of.They made a difficult situation simple and easy.

Couldnt be happier or more grateful for the privilege of having help from these seasoned pros!! Had a giant Hackberry tree fall on my house on a Sunday night and they came and removed it in the dark before it could have snapped and caused further/serious damage! They cleaned up everything perfectly and offered honest advice about other trees that needed trimming to prevent further accidents. Cant recommend them enough!

Mostly dissatisfied with Moore & Smith. Contracted them for a full days work. To start off, they were 1.5 hrs late with no call. They did work later, but was still short changed about an hrs worth of work as they also took a longer lunch than promised. Their work before lunch was not very productive. Seemed that most of the time only one person was working efficiently. I was a little surprised to observe that the foreman is really the only person using saws, skid and bucket. The other guys do a lot of waiting. Im not sure what changed in the afternoon, but their efficiency picked up and they were able to get a good bit done. Had they shown up on time, put in the full 8.5 hours of work as promised, with the production they had in the afternoon, I would have been a satisfied customer. What really left me dissatisfied was the way they handled my concerns when I shared them.

Jesse came out to do an estimate, she was awesome!! Very thorough and offered many suggestions for re planting as well. The speed of the team removing the big oak tree and the cleanliness of the site was exceptional. A real good job all the way around. I highly support this companys work. Thanks

I am so happy we used Moore & Smith! I called yesterday morning to schedule a quote on having work done on an oak. I was very surprised that I would be able to get a quote on the same morning and ended up getting the tree trimmed that afternoon! This oak had been neglected for many years and was an absolute mess, it was even hanging on our roof. The guys were able to artistically prune the tree, so that it looks gorgeous! Way better than I ever imagined! They also cleaned up my other oaks and my whole back yard! They went above an beyond and really exceeded my expectations! This is a job where you get what you pay for and it doesnt pay to cut corners. Cassandra came out and did a bid for us, we had to have 2, 75 trees removed on a 35 degree slope of a yard. Our neighbors home is 2 from the trees so it was a tough job. Corey, Lee and George did an amazing job. They cleaned up as they went, were cautious to be respectful of traffic and neighbors and the mess. They cleaned up each day. The job was a success!

We have 4 trees on our property that arent doing well. I placed numerous calls to tree services, and couldnt get anyone to even return my call. I finally decided to search for an arborist, and found Moore & Smith. Kasandra came to our place, took a look at the trees, and proceeded to give me an incredible amount of detail on a) what had gone awry, and b) how to fix it. She was a fountain of information - I had to take notes to remember it all. What impressed me is not just her knowledge, which was immediately apparent, but her lack of sales pitch. I asked how to pay her and she charge me nothing -- we didnt require additional services at this point, and the information was free. Who does this in this day and age? It told me a lot about the business ethics. Very impressed, and I know who well be calling when we need tree trimming or removal. Happy to pass this name along to others.

It is a rare day when someone is honest enough to tell you that you dont need to hire them. They could have easily charged me money for work that would only take them 15 minutes and that I could do on my own. Not only was the owner honest but he gave me a mini education on how to prune some of the trees that I was originally planning to hire them to do. Now thats great customer service. When I do have a big enough job Ill definitely call them!

From the estimate to the final bill, nothing but the most professional experience. Coming from a construction background, I really appreciate the effort this company puts into each job. We had a dead tree in the back yard of our house that we just moved into 3 weeks ago and it was such a safety hazard that Moore & Smith was able to push through the required permitting and prioritize our safety to remove the tree. If you care about the trees, the visual appeal of your property, and your safety then be sure to invest in the right company for the job. Moore & Smith is fully insured, that means both your property and their workers are taken care of if anything goes wrong. This is very important in their line of work given the dangers. They also have arborists overseeing their jobs which means when they trim your trees, they arent just cutting for the heck of it (which can lead to worse health for a tree). They are strategically making cuts to maximize the health of your trees and yard. When I came to see the end result, other than some saw dust I could not tell they were ever there. I also was able to meet with the owners who personally work and oversee every job. This was awesome because after talking with Phil, I was convinced I wanted him to manicure all the trees in my front yard on top of the tree removal I had originally hired them for. My neighbor was so impressed she also hired their services on the spot. I will be referring them to all my friends and family!Sorry if this is a long review but I just thought they were worth giving it for.

They came out and trimmed an oak tree in the front of my yard and a couple of palm trees in the back yard. Jessie did a great job setting up my service. They did an excellent job!! I came home from work that night and I was very happy with the work they did. They did an excellent clean up job and they even took some dead branches that I had stacked up in my back yard. We used Moore and Smith to trim our palm and bird of paradise trees. What a wonderful job! The best so far, Ive had 3 other services do the same job ( a little Cheaper) but not any where near as good a job. I would highly recommend them and will def use them again. My trees look beautiful!!

However, Jessy came over, she was great, very knowledgeable and professional, took amazing pictures and helped us get approved. Turns out the tree had some signals of disease, and his proximity to our house was a hazard. Crew came over, took it down and cleaned up everything. They did an awesome job and we are very happy. We contacted Moore & Smith have a 65 - 80 foot laurel oak with heart rot located 5 feet from our home and leaning toward it at a dangerous angle removed right after Hurricane Harvey hit Texas. They returned our call promptly and immediately scheduled an appointment. Kailey prioritized our tree removal because of the imminent danger to our entire home and the Moore & Smith team helped us get the permitting approved. I cant tell you how grateful we are for the expediency in which they handled our tree removal, particularly when they were absolutely slammed due to Hurricane Irma heading our way.The tree removal, while a little terrifying to watch, was impressive. These people are PROS. Considering the large branches and location of our roof and that of a separate building, we were pleasantly surprised that there were no mishaps because these guys KNOW what they are doing. Jerry, one of their specialist climbers, was amazing to watch.The owners and crew couldnt have been nicer, and were just so appreciative of their hard work and professional attitude.They worked into the dark for us and even helped us remove some additional debris from our yard. They knew we would certainly lose our home in Hurricane Irma if that tree fell and cared enough to help us out. Additionally, the noticed some concern on another tree on our property that was above our childs play area and took care of it on their accord! Very nice and friendly people to work with. I called M&S tree service for a estimate to cut and remove 5 pine trees(80-85ft). an appointment was set and Kasandra, was my first connect with the company. She was prompt, professional, and helpful with advise. they were also the best of 4 quotes. Then Phillip and crew arrived. They did a great job, cut 5 huge trees and cleaned up the area. I had Moore & Smith remove a large cypress tree that had been struck by lightning, as well as some general trimming of some other trees. They were such a pleasure to work with! They were so professional and timely in providing their service and were also the least expensive of the three quotes that I got for the project! They came in and did the job with remarkable speed and made sure to clean up all the debris. I will definitely use them again when I need tree services.

These are very knowledgeable and professional arborists. They did an excellent job on my large oaks both in the front and backyard. When they came out to give me my free estimate they did not oversell, but only recommended exactly what needed to be done to meet my objectives. They took into account the condition and health of my trees. Other companies kept adding on more stuff that needed to be done, Moore & Smith did not do that. Additionally, they did all the work as promised and in a timely manner. They left my yard, which had just been re-sodded, in the same great condition it was in when they arrived. I will hire them again and highly recommend them for any tree work you need to have done.

I found this company through home advisor. My experience was outstanding from start to finish. An estimator contacted me promptly and worked around my schedule. The crew came out as promised and were very punctual. Not only was the group very professional, but super nice people. They did a 5 star job!

They are finishing a 3 day job to remove one medium sized laurel oak and 3 grand laurel oaks. They gave me a competitive estimate, but it was the knowledge, professionalism, courtesy, and attention to detail demonstrated by Phillip and Kasandra told me that this was the right company for my needs. They did a great job, and given the opportunity, I will hire them again.

We just used Moore & Smith to remove a palm tree. They did such a great job but they also trimmed our two oak trees to make them look amazing. He gave us a lot of good tips to make them look even nicer. I highly recommend them!! We have already referred them to a friend of ours!

We had two trees that needed to be cut down because of health reasons. They were both huge. We also had other oak trees to be trimmed and a palm tree. The largest tree had several large branches over our house. I did a lot of research on the local three companies. All but one had unhappy customers. Obvious she has the experience and knowledge to assess what should be done and explains how. She gave us a fair estimate. There was no pressure. Totally professional, honest, friendly, and understanding: Its hard to describe how well they do business. Tony was our point of contact. And we could contact him any time. He kept us up to date. When the permit was ready, he had workers the very next day cutting down the tree. All the foliage was cleaned up and the trunk was removed. Also the property was swept and blown clean. I had a 100 tall dead pine sandwiched between hour & 2 garages. They removed it perfectly and cleaned up everything. Yard was cleaner when they left than when they arrived! Reasonable prices, too.

Phillip and his team did a wonderful job removing some very large limbs overhanging our tile roof. It was a very delicate job, and Phillip and his team skillfully removed the limbs. I had a huge, dying oak in my backyard that needed to come down immediately. This was the company that I felt the most comfortable withafter a phone consultation. The good reviews also steered me in their direction. The reviews were right. They expedited my job due to the health of the tree and the storms brewing in the Atlantic. They showed up as scheduled and did a great, professional job. They cleaned up all the mess and the workers were very courteous.

I hired Moore and Smith to remove a large oak tree from my back yard last year. They did such an outstanding job I hired them again this year to remove another large oak from my yard. I cant say enough good things about them, the crew they had working here were some of the hardest working people I have ever met. They did an excellent job, and cleaned up after themselves. Phillip and his crew member did a beautiful job on trimming our two large oak trees. I called and spoke with his lovely wife early in the morning on a Friday. He quickly came to our house, and he gave us a very fair price. They showed up later that same day to do the job. The trees looked so unsightly before Phillip did his magic on them. We had even consider having the trees cut down. They were so overgrown and chopped up by the last tree service we had about two years ago. Phillip and his employee worked so hard, and they cleaned up everything beautifully after the job was complete. What a difference the work of Phillip made our trees look like! We highly recommend him.

I called five different arborists to inspect the two large oak trees in my front yard hoping they could be saved but knowing better seeing all the signs of decline on these trees. They all verified that the trees needed to come down. Jessie, from Moore and Smith, noticed other branches hanging over my roof from another oak tree in my side yard and suggested having those lower branches removed and lifting the tree canopy to avoid future problems. That was something I had not even noticed until she pointed it out. I felt confident that they would do the best job and they gave me a very fair quote. They had also come highly recommended by my son who had them removed several trees from his property. The quality of their work lived up to my expectations but what really impressed me was how they dealt with a problem during the final stage of the tree removal. Surrounding my oaks was a very large, circular, brick retaining wall almost two feet high and I noticed that it had been cracked in two places and that portion of the wall between the two cracks had moved forward. I called Jessie immediately and she said not to worry that they would fix the problem. She then called the owner who didnt hesitate to respond and he called me within minutes to apologize and to tell me that he would be out first thing in the morning to repair the wall and that I was not to worry because he was very knowledgable in this area. I honestly could not figure out how they were going to be able to repair the damage but he was true to his word and was here first thing this morning and he did a great job of repairing the wall. Its good to know and do business with people of integrity.

Cassandra was very helpful with three very large oak trees hanging over our property . The city was not very helpful and only allowed to to prune certain trees . She helped with explaining why certain branches were a safety concern to the city arborist . Quick, clean and professional.

I just moved into a house with quite a few trees with overhanging limbs. Moore & Smith were there promptly on time and delivered as promised. They left my yard cleaner than when they arrived. Service was prompt and price was fair. I will be calling them back for the next go round!

Moved to a house 3 years ago that has a grand live oak. Weve had it cut three times and it looked like our tree had never been trimmed. Finally I did some research and hired M&S. Theyve done an absolutely fantastic job! I wish I could share a before and after pic. They did an amazing 360 lift, took care of problem branches, and lighten up some (intentionally not all) of the baby branches growing on the main branches. They are educated in trees, highly skilled, and did it at a very good price. I know that this time our oak will be good for several years, but when its time to trim again I will most definitely use them again.

If you are reading this review, stop looking for any other tree service companies. We had did a lot of research into tree services when we had a friend refer Moore and Smith. They are fast, efficient, professional and fair priced. We had huge water oaks above our pool cage and they effectively removed the branches without damaging the pool cage. The removed a dying Magnolia right next to our home and thinned and heightened another Water Oak canopy. They were very mindful of the landscaping. We will be using them again to improve the cosmetics of our trees. I never write reviews; but this company is literally OUTSTANDING!!!!! Thank you Phillip, Cassandra, Jessie and crew!!!

These are nice people and they know what they are doing. I watched them take two HUGE trees down at my next door neighbors house and the tree was right against the house and not once did they do damage to their home. I ask if they could look at my tree in the back yard, which was really nothing compared to what they had to do for my neighbor, and Cassandra and Phillip treated us just like they did for my neighbor, no matter if it was a big job or a little job. The only thing that happened was a few large tree branches fell on some of my plants and of course damaged them beyond repair, so they did the right thing and gave me some of my money back. All they wanted to do was make us happy with what they did. I have no problem giving them a recommendation It may cost a little more than others, but as they say, you get what you pay for and I am very happy with them and would use their service again.

I called M&S because of their awesome Yelp ratings and they lived up to their reviews. The lady that came out for the quote was nice, professional, and on-time. The price was competitive and scheduling was without hassle. The work was performed exactly as promised and they did a good job cleaning up before they left. Im fully satisfied with the work they performed and Id not hesitate to contact them again should I need future tree work. I might have been able to find a lower price, but when there are tons of tree 15 feet from my house, no thanks... Ill go w/ the company with a proven track record of doing it right and the insurance to back it up should something go wrong. This isnt the place to go w/ the low bidder folks.

Amazing Job and Clean Up!!!I had received several estimates for our job, if I was lucky enough to have the local companies keep their appointments to give me a price. I did finally mange to get some quotes, but the money was not the main basis for my selection of Moore & Smith Tree Care. Customer service was far more important with our busy schedule. From the time that I called to the time they came out for my estimate (which was the next day and on time by the way) the Knowledge, Experience and Professionalism was far more then what I would have expected! Moore and Smith Tree Service removed a giant Monkey-Puzzle tree from my front yard and they did a superior job! Phillip Moore is a Scotsman which means that he is honest, fair, conscientious and personable. Phillip and his company did everything they said they would do at an affordable price, and they carefully removed a monstrous tree from my lawn without destroying my grass and landscaping. Additionally, Phillips wife Kasandra is a certified and license arborist, so professional advice regarding the trimming or removal of various trees (not to mention permitting) is available immediately without the time consuming wait and hassle associated with dealing with the county or city. Im grateful for Phillip, Kasandra and their entire company, and I highly recommend Smith and Moore for any tree surgery job in Tampa and beyond!

I have had people/companies come out and cut my trees before 2 or 3 times in the past and have never had the service I received this time. When I called for an estimate of the cost to trim and lift my trees Moore & Smith TreeCare came right out and looked at the property and the job to be done. They prepared a very professional report outlining specifically what they would do to each tree. They included Proof of being insured and bonded as well. The job they did was fantastic and they cleaned up the mess as well. I had them come back out to remove a tree and they did just as great a job for that as well! Their pricing is fantastic as also. After doing lots of research and meeting with other tree removal companies Moore and Smith Tree Care hands down is the BEST tree care company in the Tampa bay area! From start to finish the owners and workers were friendly, professional, and got the job done exactly as I expected. Theyre fully insured with workmans comp -- I know for a fact because I spoke with their insurance agent and was provided with a certificate of insurance. Please dont waist your time with other tree care companies that dont have workmans comp insurance.

An incredible job on my spruce tree. At first we wanted to chop it down but once Moore & Smith came and trim the tree, it looked like a tree for the first time :)Well keep it.I personally know the owners and see how they are obviously a level above their competition. Look no further.

We moved to Tampa from San Diego and bought our first home June 2017. My husband and I fell in love with the house because of the 3 oak trees in our front yard. We had no knowledge of Oak trees or maintaining it. We were used to renting. Our first fall/winter was this year and little did we know what lay ahead of us. There was so many leaves, small branches, and debris falling from the trees onto our cars, driveway, and yard, we were fed up with raking and sweeping. My husband and I was nervous about calling to get our three trees trimmed only because our neighbors had quoted us what the previous owner told them. My husband was going to do it himself, but decided against it. We finally took the plunge to call a tree trimming service. I found Moore and Smith through google maps. They had the most reviews with the most stars. I called to get an estimate Friday, and Monday Kasandra and Philip came out to take look at our trees. They were both very knowledgeable about the health and welfare of our trees, we found out our three trees was a live oak tree and they knew exactly how to shape and trim the trees, so it would be balanced. We learned a lot from what they told us. The quote they gave us was very reasonable and we were happy and relieved that we would not be spending a fortune to trim our trees. Wednesday Philip and his crew came out to trim the trees, they were very nice and professional, they did the job in a timely matter. My husband and I are so glad we found the right company that is knowledgeable, knows what their doing, and came to do the job in a timely manner. Highly recommend Moore and Smith!!! Wow! What a fabulous company! We needed a tree removed and another company started the work and dropped the tree on the edge of our house, crushing the soffit and fascia and leaving a hole in the roof. Then never came back to fix it OR pick up the tree. We contacted Moore and Smith Tree Care via a referral from a friend. Boy do I wish we knew they existed from the beginning. Phillip and Kasandra were so kind and professional. The young man working with Phillip was very sweet and such a hard worker. Their prices are by far the best and the work is stellar. They cleaned up the mess, every last bit of it. I will definitely be calling them to trim the trees on our next lot where we are bulidling this year. Thanks!!

Great service all around. Jessie called me quickly after submitting my request on their website and gave me an honest quote the next day. The next morning Corey and his team came and quickly trimmed up our two oak trees on our property and cleaned up every little bit of debris they could find. The one small flaw I think may want to be looked over is the quoting. At the time, Jessie did say she thought it would take the guys about 4 hours to complete both trees, it actually only took them about an hour and a half. I cant really complain about the fast service, but if I was paying for an estimated 4 hours, and it took less would there be a difference? Either way, they were fast, courteous and clean with everything they did. Would highly recommend!
