Had very bad encounters. Each time so far.Refrigerator Kenmore Elite Refrigerator with French doors and Go to door. Do Not waste your Money on it. Only had it for short time and it broke down.We had Sear Repairs to come out. The guy flat out said how these refrigerators dont last and the Compressor goes all the time. Highly suggest get a new refrigerator. No intention of repairing what was under warranty.Left customer (my mom in tears) under pressure of having to buy new refrigerator/ freezer. Also feeling like she was lousy for buying it in first place.We call back stating we want him to go ahead and fix it and we schedule an appointment for him to come back out week later.The appointment was Wed. 1pm till 5pm. At 3pm is when we get a text stating appointment has been canceled for today. Reschedule for the 24th. When we call to inquire the reason since mom stayed home canceled all her appointments for this and they claim the part was not on his truck that morning. 😡We ask about the part.. supposedly it was ordered on the 3rd..when we had made the appointment. It just didnt come in Yet.We call tonight to verify details of appointment for wed 24th. The staff stated part has not been ordered and the guy has come out before ordering.After we were told by complaint staff this part has been order..and that was reason why appointment was canceled because the part was not there.Very frustrating and no real answers.I will not go back to sear for another appliance. Nor would I ever suggest to anyone I know to use Sears.I can see why they are going belly up.

The EXpert looked at my refrigarator, open a back side , and said that one of the copressors leaking, so it can not be repaired, and the refrigarator should be thrown away. It took 5 minuts. After that he charged me $105. I was trying to argue about leaking because I did not see any traces of leaking, but it was useless. Well, the refrigarator 3 years old, Samsung, paid $3,500. I invited another spesialist, who easilly found a leak in a coil pipe between copper and aluminum joint, so it took 15 minuts to fix it. No leak in compressor at all. The refrigarator is still working well. Never ever use Sears service.

We have a Sears protection agreement. It is absolutely the worst! I filed a claim for my TV in July. Case still not closed. We are still awaiting a check from them. They never came and diagnosed the problem. Eventually they said they would send a check. Calling them takes over an hour on hold. Stay away from them!!!

Absolutely the worst company for service, at least their service person they sent to my home! Worst experience. The individual was mean, unwilling to diagnose the problem and left without doing anything! Don’t waste your money with Sears. They are slowly surely going out of business! They use third rate service people who know nothing about serving AC units they are trained so the company gets minimal out of pocket expense! Stay away from Sear Service! I’d give no stars if I could /// undate, 3 visits 10 phone calls still not fixed or replaced! Stay away from Sears warranty! Big joke. Money goes to them nothing in return. There’s a reason they have closed so many stores ! Bad policy bad management no service. I will give updates! After 4 visits and 12 phone calls thing “may be “ starting to get done!

I was very disappointed. I had called to get the new gasket fix replaced on my washer. On line they said they had the new version which would eliminate the mold issue. When I spoke to the person on the phone they assured me it was the new part. I didnt find out that it was the same gasket that is on my washer now until the serviceman came out. He was very professional. I was not going to pay $400.00 to replace it with the identical part, that the serviceman said the same issue would happen in a few months. I used the washer cleaner they recommended and cleaned it often. If I new from the time I made my appointment that you didnt have a revised part to eliminate the problem I would not have made the appointment. And this fiasco would have never happened. No diagnosis had to be done. So I dont think that I should have to pay the $79.00 service charge for their incompetence. I have spoken to customer service three different times to no avail. I have since found out about a class action suit against that washer. Why your staff doesnt know about this on going problem is and the revised part is ridiculous. I told them the problem from the start. I think I did my part. Now you should do the right thing and refund my money or that amount in coupons which I ask for on three different occasions from customer service. I was always satisfied with Sears until this incident. I hope you will keep up the great customer service your known for. Thanks.

I am writing this blindly since the web makes it hard to know who cares.My parents and grandparents were all Sears customers and that always meant something. If you got it from Sears, you were in good hands.I am almost 60 and still to this day all my appliances are from Sears.I have a refrigerator that needs repair and when I called they sold me a warranty. I waited the 4 days until the repairman came and when he left we received nothing except a relay switch that he said was bad. No paper work not signature required nothing. A hour after he left the alarm started beeping 3 beeps every 30 seconds none stop. My husband called and was told they could do nothing until they spoke to the tech. Later they said they would call back in 2 hours. No call back nothing.This morning still beeping and the fridge is 70 and the freezer 10. My husband called and they said no one can come until Saturday now.We already waited and it was not repaired, why do we go another 5 days?Maybe it is because they already have our money, I don’t know. What I do know is this is not how the Sears I have grown up with treats its customers.I am so heartbroken to see a company like Sears losing its creditably.Like I said all my appliances from washer, dryer, refrigerators, dishwasher and microwave.I now have to find a new reliable place to purchase if my confidence cannot be restored.Debbie Lane

The serviceman came out the second time after a week and a half getting the part. He replaced the part and left. OK that was quick and easy but when I went to start the Dish washer if never came on. DEAD. SOOO I called Sears and they said it would be another two weeks before someone could come out and fix it . .again....A $1500.00 dishwasher and it has been down over two months. One month for this time and a little over a month for the first repair. Sears has the worst repair service I have ever had to struggle with. the first repair I must have made 20 Phone calls. Each time they said it would be taken care of. After a few days I called back and nobody knew what I was talking about. This went on for over two weeks. Each time they knew nothing about my problem and said they would fix it. After numerous calls and three service calls They agreed to replace the dishwasher but it would be another two weeks. I waited almost 5 weeks to get any satisfaction from them. God awful service. Never, Never will I but from Sears again. NEVER!!!!!

David H. was the repairman who took the time to find the glass that was stuck preventing drainage. He used the vacuum to clear any other pieces and then put everything back and cleaned up. I really appreciate the time he took. He did an excellent job.

Despite a mechanical breakdown with his work van, the technician made it to my home pretty close to the latest time they estimated. He kept in touch and his efforts allowed me to keep a previous appointment. The repair was made quickly and he offered me some great advice about maintenance, service costs and warranty extensions. Im a very satisfied customer and love my Kenmore appliances.

Sears was excellent on timing, communication, and repair work done to fix ourdishwasher. Mike (technician) called us 15 minutes before arrival to say that hewas on his way. He introduced himself, wore a Sears shirt and cleaned up afterhis work. I highly recommend this company and will use them again when needed.Thank you for a 5 star job. Our dishwasher works perfect now!

The service was well done. however, I was told to be home between 8 to noon and the service technician showed up at 12:20 and I had to get a neighbor to stay in my home and lock up for me. it would have been nice for the dispatch office to keep me informed of the late arrival. When they did call they said he would arrive at 11:45.

I faced fraud billing with absolutely bad experience with Sears customer service. I called technician to look at my LG dishwasher was told the charge will be 59$ for diagnostics. I will be provided estimate to fix and once I agree then only it will be fixed.A guy/some third party contractor came in, look ate dishwasher and found nothing wrong with it, and told me that the power outlet needs to be replaced on the wall, I need to call an electrician. I said to confirm your diagnostics, lets try plugging the dishwasher to different outlet. He did not say he will be charging me 110$ for plugging the dishwasher into different outlet o the wall. This sounds ridiculous but this is what happened . He plugged the dishwasher into different outlet, i said ok I will call electrician to fix the outlet, and gave my credit card to charge for 59$ diagnostic fee, I get a bill for 169$ with 110$ for power cord. I argued with him saying you are deceiving me, he said talk to sears they are one who asked to charge this. I called sears 4 times, every time they said somebody will call me back in 24-48 hrs and nobody did. I expect better customer service by Sears. In the end, I paid 169$ for diagnostics instead of 59$ as published and confirmed, and had to call electrician to fix he actual problem.

Serviceman was here about 10 minutes misdiagnosing the problem of my dryer not working saying the reason it cuts off mid cycle was lint in the line which he was unable to touch. My maintenance man who was here said he was on his phone the whole time he was here. Even though there is no lint in the line problem still exists. They now have to come out again to re diagnose and then order a part ( 2 more weeks without a dryer) Since this is a vacation home I have to set up for someone to be here for them to come but in the meantime while waiting again on the part we will have no dryer at the beach with guests. Even though I have a contract with Sears, I had an independent contractor come diagnose the problem which is the motor. Everything I google says its the motor. Not wanting to pay for the motor I told Sears I wanted them to order the motor to install when they come which they refuse to do. 2 weeks-2weeks-2 weeks. It is ridiculous the way they operate and treat the customers. I have dealt with this in TN more than once with incompetent servicemen and having to have several service calls to get the job done and asking not to have certain ones not come back because they never do anything. I have always been a big Sears shopper and maintenance contract buyer but I am done with that.

I recently purchased a home in southwest Florida. Once settled in, we attempted to use the clothes washer. The digital display said no water source. We called Sears repair.The repairman was out for 45 minutes and said we needed a new control panel for $500, and that would not guarantee that the washer would work. We were forced to spend $800 on a new washer.When the appliance store (not Sears) delivered the new machine and set it up, it would not work. The new machine said no water source. It turns out the water valve was broken. THE SEARS REPAIRMAN NEVER CHECKED THE VALVE, EVEN THOUGH IT SAID NO WATER SOURCE!!!!!I called Sears, and told them I dont expect them to pay for the new machine that I purchased unnecessarily, but it wouldnt be unreasonable to expect a refund of the $78 service charge. I was told its not their policy to refund service charges. They did say they would send me a $30 gift card. 2 months later, Ive yet to see it.No wonder Sears is going out of business.

We purchased a Kenmore Elite from Sears in Naples, Fl one year ago, ice maker has never worked , Sears repair has repaired it 3 times still does not work. very difficult to make timely appointments with Sears. We purchasedmaintenance agreement stating if unit could not be repaired by 3rd repair it would be replaced. We now have an appointment for 2/12th.

Technician arrived to perform annual inspection of washer and dryer. Despite his being a pleasant person he knew less about our washer and dryer than I do . . . and he readily admitted that his expertise was in refrigerators. So, I proceeded to explain how our appliances worked and he was fascinated. Only thing he did was check temperature in dryer. Very disappointing and not up to Kenmore standards. A waste of his time and mine.

It was almost 2 months before the fan part was replaced. Glad we did not need the air on. Since repair we have no heat (had heat before the replacement) and target humidity is not working right. Also, if you set the temp at your desired temp system will now keep it 2 temp lower. This is new since new fan installed. DO NOT PURCHASE a Maintenance Agreement from SEARS! Waste of money! Have to give it one star in order to post my comments...interesting.

Two service calles to get washing machine fixed. First guy never worked on washing machines before he was an oven, microwave and dishwasher specialist.I did not understand why he would be sent to fix my washing machine. He did not have any parts. And he also miss the fact I needed a water pump not just a door switch. It was a total waste of time for both of us.The second guy who came to fix the washing machine was great 👍🏼 professional and fast working. He knew right away that i needed a new water pump. The first call should have never takes place it was a total waste of time and I needed To take a second day off of work to accomplish getting my washing machine fixed. It might be Time to look for a new repair company.

When I ordered the part on the phone for deliver and install they didnt mention the installation fee of $109. It was such a shock when the installer showed up. This installation fee is in addition to their trip charge of $89. The installer said the fee was determined based on the part. However he swapped the part in 10 minutes and was on his way. Is that worth $199? I dont think so.Very poor experience with Sears and their process starting with the omission about the install fee when I ordered it, to the exorbitant charges for a very quick install. Would not do it again with Sears.

Very nice repair man did his job and replaced my mother board on a 3 year old may tag front load washer. Was surprised he had the part in the truck. Guess machines are not made to last like they used to. A tad pushy on buying an insurance plan through him which I did not purchase as that mother board was a $400 replacement cost.

I tried to make an appointment for home improvement estimate three weeks ago. I called on a Saturday and operator told me someone would be calling me. No call. I had to call back a week later and made another appointment which I was disconnected but this time an email was sent for a time of day that was not good for me but I kept the appointment. Someone (not friendly nor understanding) called me a week later (2 days ago) to cancel this appointment and told me it would be ANOTHER WEEK until they could reschedule - and it would have to be on another day I am supposed to be working! Follow through - poor! Customer service - poor! I dont have an appointment and am disappointed that I will NOT DO BUSINESS WITH SEARS! FIX THE PROBLEMS Sears and you might have a fighting chance… There are many others that offer better experiences than this one.

The service repairman was not able to make a satisfactory refrigerator repair. I had to call back a couple of days after he said he had made a complete repair to report water on my kitchen floor. While he was here the first time I questioned the correctness of the repair. He said it was the right method. Evidently not!When I called to report the need for a corrective repair, the woman who answered spoke such broken english that I could barely understand her.

After 7 service calls to my house this last technician finallyfinally found the TRUE problem with my refrigerator .My refrigerator was not making ice cubes . Every other techjust replaced the ice maker unit and left. After 7 tries you would think that there must be another problem besides the ice-makerunit. The last tech found out because water was freezing beforeit reached the ice-maker it never delivered water to the ice-maker.The system kept trying to deliver water to the ice unit but couldntso the water overflowed and dumped water on the floor under the refrigerator . For seven months I have been without ice and water kept spilling on the floor and caused TOXIC MOLD to form underthe refrigerator and the surrounding wall and cabinets .THIS DEFECTIVE REFRIGERATOR CAUSED THE TOXIC MOLD PROBLEM AND SEARS IS RESPONSIBLE TO CORRECT THIS DEADLYMOLD PROBLEM IMMEDIATELY ! !

My Kenmore Elite Refrigerator, one month less than 5 years old, started having problems with the water/ice on the door. The ice cubes kept flying out and the water wouldnt shut off. Sears came out and took the unit off the door and showed me that the build up of mold caused the connections to stop working. He also showed me how to clean the entire unit myself. It was shocking as I thought the cleaning I did with vinegar and Q-tips was sufficient. Great guy, knew what the issue was, fixed it and was out the door in less than one hour. I used a 20% off coupon found on line to help offset the cost. Will definitely use them again.

Technician sent for the repair was inept, did not listen, and said the refrigerator was working when I cannot get the temperature below 50 degrees in the box or 25 degrees in the freezer. I showed him the ice cream melting on the floor, and he replied that ice cream should be creamy. He was a joke and complete waste of time. Sears is apparently not interested in following their protective warrranty.

5 year old Kenmore Elite Refrigerator suddenly develops a freon leak beginning of June. Called Sears for an appointment after going through hoops to get past the automated helper. The soonest they can come is June 29, so Im waiting for two weeks just to have an initial consultation. Had to throw a lot of food away, such a waste. They come on June 29, confirmed it is a leak, but have absolutely no idea where. Technician injects the line with colored die and says he will have to come back tomorrow, June 30 between 8-12. I wait on June 30, call several times, they tell me yes, he is on the way, dont worry. At 12:01 Sears calls me to tell me he is not coming, and has called off sick that morning. Why they couldnt tell me that during any of the 3 conversations I had with them that day, I will never understand. So they reschedule me for July 11 (as there is a holiday week in the middle and apparently they dont work that entire week) so now Im two more weeks just waiting for them to come see where the die is dripping out eating a lot of Panera. Finally on July 11, the technician shows up and says it is the condenser that is leaking. Now they will have to order parts and come back. They also ordered a compressor just to be safe. They schedule my repair for July 14 (one month so far without a refrigerator). Lots of parts boxes from Sears (about 6) show up at my door, (my Kenmore Elite dishwasher has pooped out as well so that repairman comes on different days and orders different parts. I have effectively spent my entire summer sitting at home waiting for Sears repairmen). So on July 14, the refrigerator repairman arrives, opens the boxes and tells me a part is missing, is not on his truck, he will order it and I will have to make another appointment. Im a TINY BIT frustrated by now but finally on July 18, the part is here, the refrigerator repairman is here and so far, the refrigerator is still running at the time of this writing. The moral of the story, BUY A FRIGIDAIRE. My mom has one for 25 years and it has never needed a repair unlike my Kenmore Elites (I also have a microwave, stove, washer and dryer, all Kenmore Elite, all bought at the same time 5 years ago and all have had to be serviced or replaced (2nd microwave already) at least once. This is the second repair for the refrigerator!!!

I gave the part number that was needed to repair my dryer so it would be ordered and repaired all in the same visit. I was never told I would need two appointments to fix a dryer that was not heating. It took 5-7 business days to get an appointment with a technician. The technician after looking at the dryer said he had to order the part as that was the issue (really?), Therefore he would need to come back to install the part once it got there which would be the following Monday, however they were too busy so we could get another appointment for the following Thursday. I had to pay by credit card and mentioned I needed a receipt, however I have not seen that either.Welcome to Florida!

Sears Kenemore Elite Refrigerator stopped cooling. Still under warranty. They tried to sell me an extended warranty when I called. When I refused, they told me they couldn’t get somebody out to look at it for 5 days! They said I can file a claim for the lost food. The next day I got on “chat” to express my displeasure about the wait. They told me that they have availability tomorrow 8-12. It would cost me only $80 and $49.99 for the next 12 months! Again, trying to sell me an extended warranty for my appliances ( I have a screen shot). I again refused the extended warranty. The tech showed the next day, unannounced even though I had opted in for text notification, and diagnosed a bad compressor. Had to order the part and it would be 3-5 days! I can order stuff on Amazon and have it the next day from across the Nation! In this day in age you can get most anything over nighted. The parts arrived 4 days later originating 2 hr drive from my house! I then had to call to schedule install. Another extended warranty pitch and another 5 day wait for the tech!! I got on chat the next day, where they again tried to sell me the extended warranty. They also could not schedule me earlier. Terrible customer service! Two stars because the tech was nice and professional. I did get a text alert that he was on his way the 2nd time. BTW- called regarding claim for spoiled food. They again went into a long dissertation on extended warranty- I HUNG UP!

I had scheduled the repair/maintenance on my fridge for Thursday, August 10th., 2017, between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. At 5:20 PM I called the Sears Appliance repair, telling them that the repair man never came! They then told me that the repair man had entered in the computer that the service at my house was completed!! I explained that that was a total lie, and that nobody came to my house and that I was home all day! I found that lie outrageous!! And now who is this inconveniencing? ME!Now they rescheduled this appointment for Tuesday, August 15th., which now I have to get my son-in-law to come and sit at my home between 1:00 - 5:00 PM, because we will be on vacation. The supervisor that I spoke with told me that there wasnt an appointment earlier than the one I now hove now, that I wanted to get before I left for vacation. To say I am not happy with this situation, is an understatement!!

My family purchased a kenmore elite refrigerator and in the course of two years it had to be repaired several times until it finally was declared dead in just only two years. Sears wasted my money and, more importantly my time. I left work early in order to be home in time for the first appointment. Of course the guy came towards the end of the window they gave me, so I sat around waiting for him for 3 hours. Thats fine, it happens, but when he did finally show up, he ran the dryer for about 30 seconds and said Yup, youre not getting any heat. Yes, I know, thats why I called you! He then proceeded to explain that because its a stackable dryer, he would need to come back with another guy in order to take the dryer down, get inside of it, and figure out what was wrong. For what its worth, when I made the appointment I was asked what kind of appliance it was and I told them everything from the model number to the fact that ITS A STACKABLE DRYER. So he should have know that. Thats half a day wasted for me... Next appointment, two different guys come out to the house. They show up late, I mean like outside the window they gave me. Then, without taking the dryer down off the washer, tell me its most likely the heating element, that its about a $395.00 part, and that Id be better off just buying a new dryer. Well, thats not true. To buy a dryer comparable to the one I have Im looking at spending closer to $800.00 (plus, honestly, if Im gonna buy a nice new dryer Im gonna want a nice new washing machine to go with it... taxes, fees, etc, probably anywhere from $1,200.00-$2,000.00). Anyway, the techs charged me the $75.00 service fee and went on their merry ways. So now Ive wasted two days of my time, 75 of my dollars, I still have a busted dryer, and no-one even took the machine down to figure out whats actually wrong with it! So no, not happy with Sears service at all!!!

Parts were mis-ordered and after 3 tries the latch was replaced on my dryer.I stayed home 3 days for this.3 times I locked up my animals, Because of my work sleep schedule , I had to get up, dress ,makeup and hair hours before I needed to in order to fix a latch on my dryer.
